I recently had my first two appointments with Michael after being referred to him by family members he's tattooed. Their tattoos always looked clean, professional, and creative, so I felt confident booking with him. For my first tattoo, Michael was able to take me as a walk-in, which I really appreciated. Even though I didn't have an appointment, I never felt rushed. I explained what I wanted verbally, and he immediately sketched up a design that was exactly what I had in mind. From start to finish, I was tattooed in less than an hour. It's been a few weeks now, and it has healed beautifully. I went back for a second tattoo, a small rib piece. I had sent him the font I liked beforehand, and when I got there, he whipped up a few size suggestions to help me choose what looked best. He took the time to make sure everything was spelled correctly and placed exactly the way I wanted before we started. Both experiences have been fantastic. Michael is professional, clean, efficient, and genuinely cares about the quality of his work. His workstation was spotless, and for my rib tattoo, he even used a clean drape on the bed to make sure I was comfortable while lying on my side. I got my hand tattoo done with Oso. First round it faded then he asked me to come back in to re touch it. I didn't mind, I said it happens. But again it a faded and I asked for a refund because why should've I have to go back again when I live an hour away from that shop. The artist stated he doesn't do refunds. this is by far the worse one I've gotten and I have ten others. I have very sensitive skin and the artist did not lesson to me or what I was saying about my body. If you know anything about tattoos you can obviously see the choppy line work, The various blowouts, and just terrible shading. They are over priced and in my option kind of sexist. I'm now having to pay to get something removed that a basement scratcher could have pulled off better. if your heart set on getting a tattoo here ask for the shop owner, just beware he will charge you 2,000 minimum for a half sleeve. LONG + HONEST POST WARNING!!! Trying to give an honest opinion on a specific tattoo artist rather than the entire location itself + fairness which is why I give it two stars. Before I go in on my rather unfavorable view on another artist, I want to start with giving recognition to the tattoo artist Lucky, who performed my tattoo at this location. She took me in last minute thanks to her fellow worker Sergio, who ruined my experience with this location. Lucky is kind, patient and welcoming. With that being said..... I found this location on YELP as I do with pretty much anything I am in search of (in this case I was in search of a tattoo artist who specializes and/or has great work when it comes to cover ups.) I went on their instagram account to view their artists profiles and images/work and one artist stood out for his quality of work (here is where I am being honest/fair) his name is Sergio. I messaged Sergio directly to inquire about getting the tattoo cover up. Sergio quoted me a ridiculous amount of $300-500 for a cover up of a name that is small in size and the cover up requested was of a feather..plain black tattoo cover up. Sure, I had the option to either pay his price and go with it or I could've kept searching. But, I respected his work and I thought "hey, I haven't had a tattoo in a while, yet alone a cover up, maybe prices for tattoos have gone up") So I said to hell with it, I'll book with him. The tattoo artist, Sergio, required a $100 deposit to lock in a date/time for the tattoo service. I send the deposit via Zelle and we lock in the following week, Thursday 6pm. Of course on Yelp, you place an inquiry, it sends your request out to several locations, and so within a day after placing my deposit with Sergio, another tattoo artist/location reached out to me and quoted me a price MUCH more economically reasonable. So what did I do? I attempted to get my refund for the deposit (with the consideration that most deposits are non-refundable) but hoping that because it was less than 24 hrs after finding another artist (or maybe not 24hrs exactly but close enough) that maybe he can still try to book another client in time to replace mine. Well, he said no he could not refund the deposit as I already imagined, and so I told him I would still come and get a tattoo ..something small maybe a name (of my child) would probably fit within the range of the $100 deposit, WELL, apparently names start at "$200.00" at his location (again, out of his rabbit ass mind with these prices) and respectfully, other artists who were just as good, did NOT have prices as the ones he pulled out of his ass lol. RESPECTFULLY! Anyhow, he said no, he does not do refunds, we kept the original date and I said I'll get my daughters name and that I wasn't going to let my $100.00 go to waste. I get to my appointment as we again LOCKED IN with the $100 non-refundable deposit. I get to the appointment about 15 minutes prior so about 5:45p.m., I sit inside the lobby and someone comes out and asks who am I here for I tell them, then out comes Sergio minutes later and literally had the nerve to tell me that HE needs to reschedule because he has a client whose tattoo session went over the time he originally quoted the client, I guess. Sergio literally suggested I come back the following weekend, because apparently MY time was not as valuable as his. My gas driven to his location with NO heads up that he'd be running late or could not do it before I drove all the way there was not important to him. None of that meant anything to him. I literally didn't even want the tattoo, I was only going now because I had paid a deposit and was going to settle for something small and cute. So, I asked him "instead of rescheduling since I am already inconvenienced by his lack in time/communication (not verbatim) can you just send me my deposit back, or even half?" Sergio still told me NO! So, not only could he not do my tattoo that I placed a deposit for on the date in which we already had arranged, he would NOT give me back my deposit nor a partial, . Interesting! Of course, I called him out on it because, HELLO? Are we not practically in a recession, I would like my money back! And secondly, because the service was not being provided!! He then passed me onto another artist, whose work I did not see on their store IG page, AND I had to pay her $50.00 on top of the $100 he got for not doing shit! Sergio, I hope you read this and learn a thing or two about professionalism and doing what's right, especially in this economy. Hopefully, people tread lightly and do more research before placing deposits with people such as Sergio. read more

This was my first tatoo experience. Let me tell you what an extraordinary experience this shop was. First, my tattoo artist was Leonardo and what a genuine soul this man was. He took his time getting to know me, understanding me, while I got to know more about him. This isn't just a job for him it's his true passion and it truly shows in the master piece of art I got to place on my body by Leonardo. Literally what a fucking rad dude !!! Second, the environment was so welcoming, I even got asked by another artist at the shop if I wanted any Chinese food ordered while getting tatted because they were ordering food for lunch later on. You walk in and everyone has a smile on their face. You truly feel the passion from every artist in that shop. I met the owner as well we chopped it up while I was getting tatted, quickly sensing his loving energy making you feel right at home. I wish I had read the reviews on this place before going. Honestly, it's my own fault considering I've gotten tons of tattoos and I didn't do my own research beforehand. Rookie mistake. But I'm hoping that leaving this review will help someone else... I had an itch to get tattooed and am not familiar with any artists/shops in the area. It's Friday the 13th so I got excited for a small flash piece. This shop was recommend by a popular IG page for locals and so I blindly trusted like an idiot. To begin with, the reception staff looked at me crazy because I drove 30 min to get there and had to use the bathroom. When I came back from the restroom and apologized for the rush response, they laughed and said they thought I was drunk and were concerned because they won't tolerate that in their shop. They were rude and when I got the go ahead to go back for my tattoo - several of the artists and clients were all having beers and were definitely high. Literally passing out 808s while working but are concerned about clients being drunk?? Onto the actual tattoo... the lines for my tattoo are nowhere close to straight, the shading is awful.. I pointed it out and his attempt to fix it just made it worse. I'm honestly too embarrassed to even post a photo. I'll be finding a more experienced and professional shop to fix this disaster. read more

First I want to say to the previous reviewer who gave this shop a low rating that it's unfair for you to poorly review someone simply because you were unable or willing to pay their min. Creativity and artistry need to be better valued. Moving on to saying that my initial interaction with one of their artist J. Hernandez was great. He was professional, had great communication skill and understood what I was looking for. I live in the neighborhood but I walked in the day after speaking to J. Hernandez and I was impressed to see a shop that was extremely clean, decorated with taste and a comfy waiting area. My artist came out quickly and in min. put a sketch together. Today I started my piece and I'm beyond happy so far. The work area also was extremely clean and the vibe is really cool. The shop was extremely clean and the staff had good energy and were very accommodating. Oso hooked me up with a tat on my finger. It came out really nice and he was done in like 10 mins.
