Go see my guy John Smith! the vibe and aesthetic of the shop is really sick and vibey with all the art on the walls, and tvs mounted w/ college football in the background. The other artists came over and admired my tattoo as john was working on my arm, and it gave me a sense of comfort. The placement was tricky on my elbow and I love that he wasn't hesitant to get the opinion of other artists. Gave me the sense that he really cared and i loved the turn out. Came here during a fundraising event and had a great time. Fortunately we came towards the end of the event and didn't have to wait in line. I know this place is usually busy and appointments get booked out but was very stoked to be able to get tattoo'd on the spot. @Kasperio tattoo'd both of us and he was as cool as they come, very down to earth and friendly. Great artist too. The staff was super accommodating for us, since I had our puppy with me. They let us hang out in the lobby and we swapped out watching the pup while we each got tattoos. The overall layout of the place was super cool too, very open and you can see everything that's going on. Even though I only really interacted with Kasper, all the other artists walking around were very friendly and made this a great experience for both of us. He was extremely accommodating, never made me feel rushed, and managed to complete my entire forearm in just one session. I arrived at 11:30 AM, and he was more than willing to stay as long as it took--I ended up leaving at 10:15 PM, and I'm absolutely in love with the results. I came in feeling a bit nervous for my first tattoo, but immediately felt comfortable and welcome from the friendly staff and atmosphere. The shop itself has a chill vibe and clean environment. Going to a tattoo shop may seem a bit intimidating but all of those negative stereotypes vanished when I met my tattoo artist, Andrew Kim! He was such a nice and down to earth guy who was extremely modest and humble even though his portfolio is top caliber. Didn't end up getting a tattoo here. And only had initial contact through email. So this review reflects only the contact team. TL;DR For a premium priced shop, I expected a premium customer service experience. Also, if the website says they will bring out vision for our tattoo to life, they should at least try to do that before dismissing us. I reached out to one of the artists via their email as that's what was asked to do on IG. In this email I laid out a very, very brief overview of what I wanted on my full arm sleeve, but said I would share more details if they'd like. I got an assistant to reply back to me who very quickly insinuated that the artist I had chosen would really only do 1 of the 5 ideas I had on my arm because - to them - there didn't seem to be any continuity in themes of the images I wanted on my sleeve. I assured them that the theme was animals outside in a storm. And then I was told this artist doesn't do animals. I perfectly understand that artists have niches and that they have boundaries. I actually love that! But in this case, what each artist is willing or not willing to do should be listed fully on websites or IG so that it's known before contacting. Additionally, the fact that they discredited my tattoo vision before even asking any questions or details about what I wanted really hurt. If they want to quickly get info on the vision, there should be a questionnaire that gives them the necessary info quickly. For a premium tattoo shop, I expected a premium experience. That was not set up from the initial email contact. I'm disappointed that they weren't willing to discuss how I could bring my vision to life or even point me towards another artist at the shop willing to do animals. read more

They reached out to me to resolve the issue as you can see from the reply. This was 100% performative as to save face though. What resolution could they offer? I asked for my $500 deposit back at least, and they refused. I assume they do the rolling deposits because they know how many clients refuse to come back and finish the projects their artists start. I came in for 3 appointments and they never let me deduct my deposit. They essentially pressured me to book another appointment despite me not being interested in coming back at that point. So I was charged $6400 for 3 sessions without having them finish the tattoo. $500 of that $6400 was a "design fee", whatever in the tattoo gate hell that is, and $500 was a deposit. They refuse to return either of those payments because they're comfortable scamming their clients. Like I said this was just my experience with my artist and not every artist there is probably like that. read more

Most notably: This shop has more talented artists per square foot than any other shop on the West Coast. I have been a client for over 2 years, and now they're stuck with me forever.
