Bizcom has piss poor service and takes forever to ship media that should be readily available. I am disgusted that ASUS will Only let you buy recovery media from these jokers. Bizcom is a FAILURE for any support needed with any sense of urgency. read more

Although I had to wait several weeks for completion of repairs (waiting for an ordered component), the technician ensured that the computer was in working order prior to returning my laptop. I have an ASUS laptop that needed to be repaired, and ASUS told me to send it to these guys for repair. They apparently do a lot of RMA repair work for different companies. So I sent my very nice and expensive laptop to them for repair, and I am touchy about my electronics, especially my laptop, if you ask my girlfriend she will attest to it. They had my laptop for an extended amount of time. I even contacted ASUS, and they couldn't understand why they had it for so long. When my laptop was finally ready they sent it back. When I got my laptop back I turned it on, I checked it out. My laptop was factory installed with 8GB of memory, and it was returned with 4GB of memory. SO they removed half of my memory, and I don't know why, neither did ASUS when I contacted them. After I started to use my laptop for a minute, I noticed that the touchpad is also messed up. It was flush with the front cover, now it is sunken down, and doesn't click like it is supposed to. Not only that, but if I move my laptop around, or walk with it, then it just turns off. Not goes into shut down mode, but immediate power off like somebody just pulled the battery out and yanked the plug. That means the computer is no longer a laptop, but a tiny desktop as I am no longer able to move it as I work on it unless I want to risk data loss. So I was basically shipped an expensivebrick. After talking to ASUS, they said I have to send it back to Bizcom so they can rework it. I can't even get it shipped overnight after at their expense. So they want me to send it back to them so they can do a full inspection for quality control to make sure they did the repair correctly. My thing is, aren't they supposed to do a full inspection BEFORE they send it back to the customer, not after they supposedly repair it and send it back to the customer? I figure that would make more sense. So this is what they do, they take your laptop, halfway fix it, then force you to send it back to them again. I don't know why. My thing is, You have to send the computer to them for RMA repair for the manufacturer, but they might do shoddy work. The reason why I say might is because after buying Dell's for years, I noticed they would die rather quickly (but Dell would send the technician straight to my house, or job the next business day) I switched to ASUS, who makes excellent motherboards in most computers anyway. My $300 laptop was fixed without a problem, and sent back quickly. My $1000 laptop took weeks to get sent back, and it was not fixed correctly. So take a chance if you dare, or just don't want to pay for it while under warranty. I just got my laptop back, and I opened the box 5 minutes ago and powered it on. Here are my initial findings after only 5 minutes. I have 8GB of RAM instead of 4GB after they took 4GB out the first time. The touchpad is almost flush on the left side, and recessed about 1mm on the right side. It was flush when they got it the first time. Something is not quite right with the right click button. The power issues seem to be fixed for now. They might appear later. I have only had it for 5 minutes. Here is the problem that is new THEY DIDN"T TIGHTEN THE SCREWS. It is really noticeable because when you hold the case you can here it clicking from the two halves touching each other. Since they are not tight, they will eventually fall out. How loose are they, loose enough for me to put a fingernail under the screw heads. And since this is a special screw type, I don't have a screwdriver that fits. That means I have no way of tightening the screws. I am not happy about that. I thought they were supposed to do a thorough quality control check on my laptop since they screwed it up the first time. ASUS needs to fire everybody in the service center and just hire new people, or retrain the ones you have. (Everybody does need a job) At least DELL & IBM sent a technician to my house at no additional charge. So after a few strongly worded emails about how they bricked my expensive laptop, ASUS agreed to give me a new computer instead of trying to fix this one another time. read more

I sent an ASUS laptop to be repaired for a power issue (it had none). On the enclosed packing slip I clearly noted that there was a power issue, that a local repair shop felt that it was the motherboard and asking to please expedite the repair as this is my son's computer and he is in the Navy and will be deployed shortly. The computer was received on June 2. On June 9, I received an email about some cosmetic repairs that would cost $110. ***No mention was made of the power problem*** I immediately responded asking to verify that this was my unit and to advise me of the power issue. On June 9, I received another email that the repair techs would re-evaluate the unit and I would be updated. On June 12, I called the repair facility and spoke to Ron. He told me I'm not supposed to call, that I should email or call the call center. I did all of those things without getting any information or response. The next thing he asked was did I want to have the cosmetic issues fixed. A pretty laptop is useless unless I can ***turn it on*** and use it, but unless the power issue is fixed I cannot do that. After much fumbling around, Ron said that the power issue had been fixed. I clarified that the power problem is not related to the cosmetic issue. He stated that it is not. As the laptop was already there, I opted to go ahead and have the cosmetic issues repaired. I dutifully followed all of the payment instructions, making photocopies of my credit card-front and back-and my driver's license and faxing the information in. Right away I received an email that the second page of the fax was not legible and I would have to fax all pages again. Funny how communication regarding the repair status is abysmal, but when it's time to get paid, you're right on it. Given that the payment process is WAY more complicated than it need be, I decided enough is enough. I would like to clarify, that my conversations with the ASUS representatives themselves have been more than satisfactory. Every one was helpful and courteous. The repair service, Bizcom Electronics, terrible. The funny thing is, right on their website it states that there turnaround time for repairs is usually 24 hours. read more

I recently dealt with Bizcom doing and RMA for Asus. I live in the Bay Area so I dropped my device off and picked it up from Bizcom directly. Apparently the day I went, their offices were closed, but the gentleman that answered the doorbell still took the laptop and helped me get it logged in. After an hour's drive to Milpitas I was glad not to be turned away. They had it repaired in 6 days: laptop motherboard replacement and two SSDs. Naturally my OS installation was toast (on the SSD), but my third drive (data drive) still had it's data and was in good shape. Given that the drives where encrypted, they very well could have killed the data drive just to prove that it worked properly (its fine). Do not go expecting the kind of staff that you would find front of house at a retail establishment. It's just not that kind of business. The guy that let me in when they were closed was efficient and accommodating, but had the cold deliberateness that you find in people that are focused on getting the job done. The regular desk staff was friendly, but again, they were more office clerks than customer service reps. And as others have alluded to, communication could be a bit difficult if there's explaining to do; everyone I ran into were clearly native Asians (guessing Chinese) and did not have the best English skills. At the end of the day, I got my laptop (I'm using it now to write this) back in good working order and I got it in less than a week. While Bizcom doesn't excel in that touchy-feely stuff, they didn't give me any hassle and went out of their way to get my device repaired. read more

Where do I begin? To start, the computer I received was a dud, it happens, so on I go on my journey to get it repaired into working condition. I started by contacting ASUS customer support, which is by far the most terrible customer support I have ever, EVER, been in contact with. They eventually got me an RMA issued, but did not cover shipping. I sent my ASUS ROG GL551JW laptop on its way in the original packaging, which their RMA checklist indicates will not be coming back, but I left a note in the box stating I would like for the computer to be sent back in the original packaging. Fast forward two weeks, and I finally got my computer back! Yay! I open the box and find that it's not in the original box. OK, sure, no original box, but my computer is back from repairs, so it's alright. I plug it in and turn it on. Everything is running smoothly, until five minutes later... The screen goes haywire with white lines and black boxes appearing, screen unresponsive. I shut it off and then it just doesn't come back on again. From here I made calls to the original company I bought the computer from, which I should have done in the first place, because they do not take returns without the original packaging. I called this RMA service center to confirm what happened to the box, and I was answered by an oriental woman who knew barely any English. Here's the transcript: RMA:"Hello(Asian accent)?" Me: "Hi I'm calling about a computer I sent in about a week ago" RMA: "Sorry, sorry"... "Call back later" Me: "No, I'm calling now." She continued to say call back later and even started to sound angry that I wouldn't hang up the phone. Eventually a man took the phone from her and asked if he could help. I asked what happened to my box and was told it was recycled. Is it too much to ask after spending around $1,300 dollars plus shipping twice to get the box back? Yes. Yes it is. So fast forward, I am now shipping back to the same place, because it is my only option. After talking to ASUS over the phone, who couldn't help me at all, there is no way to get a replacement even after this repair center failed to fix the problem. Maybe if I had been nicer to the oriental woman, my issue would have been resolved, but here I am sending my $1300 paper weight back for "repairs." read more

I sent my computer there 3 times and three times it came back with the same problems resulting in sending it a fourth time... they were unable to diagnose the problem correctly resulting in the replacement of the computer I was without a computer from January 7th until the first part of April. My computer is an Asus. I bought it from Fry's. Watch your warranty. They can give you refurbished parts and they can give you a refurbished computer. That's what they ended up doing to me. My computer is not working well now, but what I had to go through was horrible. Too many hours on the phone on hold and too many months without my computer. read more

ASUS repair shop, CASE #N151115279 ASUS said it was "A SLIGHT OVERSIGHT" that they returned my X750JA laptop loosely packed and NOT REPAIRED!! after 3 hours on the phone with ASUS tech and 1 hour on the phone with MICROSOFT they decided it was still having the SAME PROBLEM, Microsoft were at least honest and said, the repair shop DID A POOR JOB!! loaded an incomplete version of windows 10 without drivers. ASUS stonewalled me on a replace or refund.... after 10 years of ASUS laptops i believe they have let their products turn to junk in order to increase profit. never buy an ASUS again or use this service..........look at the other reviews, this place is bad and ASUS will only let you use them for repairs............. IN BRIEF: I would REALLY like to give Bizcom a full 5 stars for their servicing of my Asus ultrabook. However, despite their excellent and speedy repair, the customer communication was abysmal, so I will have to dock 1 star. :( LONG STORY: My laptop needed an LCD panel replacement (covered by manufacturer's warranty, gold stars for ASUS!), but for whatever reason, I could not send it to a regular ASUS service center. Unclear why, but anyway, instead Bizcom's RMA department was the designated service company. I sent my ultrabook over to their location in California (shipped from Massachusetts) on 9/28, and it arrived on 9/30. I only knew this through FedEx, as I received no email or notice of any kind from Bizcom's RMA department. Anyway, I was a little worried about not getting delivery confirmation directly from Bizcom because I wanted to be certain my laptop hadn't gotten lost in transit, so I decided to call on Monday morning (9/3) to check in. No response on the phone. Called again on Tuesday 9/4 and Wednesday 9/5. No response either. Their after-hours automated answer said that their hours began at 8:30am, but they also played this message until past 9am in the morning. Perhaps their phones are just unmanned most of the time? (Throughout this time, the ASUS support website could not pull up any service status of my laptop either -- I realize this particular problem was not Bizcom's fault, but I do think that Bizcom and ASUS should have better communication about customer support statuses if Bizcom is their official repair service provider.) On Friday 9/7, someone finally picked up when I dialed the RMA department (ext. 114, as directed by the automated voice "please press 4 for RMA"), and told me kindly that she was not from the RMA department and could not tell me what my service status was. She was very sweet, but her English was not great, and I was not sure if she knew exactly how to help me. She redirected me to some guy at ext. 118 and said he could tell me my repair status. Naturally, he did not pick up. (Throughout the course of these calls, I left 3 messages at different lines, telling them my situation and requesting a call back. No one ever responded to my voicemail messages.) Finally picked up a package on Friday 9/7 afternoon, and to my great surprise (I thought it would be a set of sheets I ordered from Target!), it was my laptop!! It had been serviced and sent back on Tuesday 9/4. So in all, it took them 3 business days after receiving the laptop to address the repair, and 2-3 business days to send it back to me across the country. Very quick, satisfactory repair! Just wish that they had communicated with me at ANY point during this past week, or at least had people answering their phones! read more

Unbelievable. Asus sent me a broken computer, I sent it back for them to fix. That was over a month and a half ago. They have sent it to the wrong address, lost in transit, rerouted package twice for no apparent reason. And what's worse is the customer service! The support team is incredible incompetent. I call in almost every day to try and figure something out, each time I call they have no record of my case unable to identify or connect me to a supervisor I talked to previously. Anything that requires the tiniest bit of authority, they have to transfer you to some other department, of which they have no communication between. I suspect this company is managed by poorly trained primates. IF YOU BUY ASUS, DO NOT TRUST THEM TO HAVE YOUR BACK. read more

God awful service! They do contracted repairs for Asus, Toshiba and others. The only good service you can get from them is for full replacement of a part. If there is any partial repairs, or a mix of hardware and software - FORGET IT - they do not bench-test past boot up. Therefore, anything that takes a second or third step for various programs to boot up to see if it's all synced up correctly, they'll never know if it doesn't work but will still ship it out as fully repaired. If you need repairs or replacement from Asus, Toshiba or other electronic companies and they want you to send it to Bizcom in Milpitas, CA ... ask for another location ... they CAN'T be worse than this place. read more

Many delays, extremely slow, poor communication Bizcom Electronics is also the authorized Toshiba repair center. My Toshiba Satellite laptop was sent under RMA for repair because it was still under warranty, but the warranty coverage was denied as Bizcom Electronic' judgment was that the laptop had "Damage" not covered under the Toshiba manufacturer warranty. The written estimate I received included the statement that "Repair process is approximately 2-3 days once the payment is approved, and the unit is shipped via fedex 2 day delivery". So Bizcom Electronics knew what was wrong with my computer and what was needed for the repair. Seventeen (17 days) after the payment was charged to my credit card, I had received no computer and no communication from them. The only information available from the Toshiba customer service web site (which is very much NOT user friendly) was "Repair in-progress". Two days after I contacted Bizcom Electronics, they replied that a part had been on backorder and they had just received it the day before I contacted them. Coincidental? Bizcom Electronics then stated "Our technician is working on your unit and will be ship out by today once the repairs are complete". Three days later (one day after I should have received the repaired computer with the FedEx 2 day delivery I had already paid for), no computer and no communication from Bizcom Electronics. So I again contacted them. There were more excuses about backordered parts and a promise that "One of our customer service rep will contact you later today to discuss if the unit progress"; no one ever contacted me and no explanation why was provided when I asked about it. Instead they ignored my request for status on the repairs until they shipped the unit four days later. The repair appears to be well done, but I was left frustrated and disappointed with their abysmal customer service. read more

I have a good experience in dealing with BIZCOM service center. My Asus laptop cannot power on and we sent it to the company on Monday and within 3 days Bizcom returned me my laptop with a new main board and my laptop worked even better than before. I trust Asus for experienced repair men and technicians. I trust them for fast service. They even changed AC adapter whose head is fit for my wall plug without my request. ASUS don't create trust and credibility from advertisement but from his prompt action and best service to customer that I am one who admires this company. Next time, when I want to change the new laptop, I will definitely think of ASUS first. read more

Asus RMA repair. I used Asus' online chat to get an RMA for my laptop. The keyboard had some dead keys. Luckily the destination was in my area and I was allowed to drop off and pick up. I dropped it off on a Friday midday. The issue was that I had some dead keys on my keyboard. They sent me an email on Tuesday saying it was ready. Pretty quick turnaround. They did do something...strange though. They deleted my entire Windows partition. I am a little ticked because that had nothing to do with the problem. By any means. The repair report did not mention this at all. I did have a custom drive setup though, and I presume they ran some diagnostic tool or something that assumed it was a standard configuration. RMA for Asus I was told the screen would be replaced when I paid for repairs $410 later I not only got the same screen back it was covered in filth and grime. Complete disconnect from Asus when I tried to get updates on the status of the system because the web link was never updated. After contacting Asus I was told I needed to ship the laptop back again. I've used Asus products for over a decade, for builds and for stand-alones, that loyalty came to an abrupt end when this computer was returned to me in worse condition then when it was sent. I ran into issues with my Asus Transformer T100A late last year. After working with Asus to troubleshoot the serious degradation in speaker sound quality, I was given a Return Material Authorization (RMA) with shipping address to Asus Service Center which is Bizcom Electronics. Working nearby, I opted to drop off my tablet/convertible instead of shipping. Very convenient parking right in front, reception took my device and paperwork, gave me a receipt and told me it should be resolved within about a week. Less than a week later, voila, the perfectly repaired unit arrived at my home. Very happy with the overall process and their service result. read more

My screen hinge broke and wouldn't close without making horrible noise, crippling itself even more. I took my laptop to bizcom and they replaced the plastic holding my screen in place. It works great and took care to replace the missing screws from the bottom of my laptop. They have horrible communication, I agree, but really they got the job done and it only cost me my stickers that were on my laptop. Minus one star for my stickers. And maybe not emailing me to let me know my laptop was on my way to me. Edit: I guess they had to remove my keyboard to get to stuff and put it on...not well? It's bouncing as I type. Also, my "N" key is scratched and that is bothering me as well. :( Still 4 stars because I can fix the keyboard myself and I paid nothing for my repairs. read more

I had to rma my ux31 twice and I used their services because these guys are close to home (one star). Their customer relations are polite and efficient (one star). their service is super fast, both times it took them just one to two days between dropping off the computer and getting it back (another star). The first time they literally just fixed what I complained about (which was just a simple symptom of something more serious with the motherboard), the second time around they did get a new board (this is why they get one of the two remaining stars). All in all, I would go to these guys again, if there was any need. read more

I took my ASUS laptop there for repair (battery/laptop won't hold power/charge). But prior to that, I called ASUS customer service for an RMA number and asked if I could just drop my laptop off to their repair center since I was in the area and to prevent damages from shipping. Off I went with my laptop with the accessories in its original packaging, met with the supervisor and left my laptop there. They only took the laptop, battery and charger and returned the box to me. After a few days, I was notified through e-mail that the laptop was ready for pick-up. I went back and picked it up without any issues. The bonus, they cleaned my laptop, aside from fixing the problem with the motherboard and DC jack - free of charge since the laptop is still under warranty. I'm very pleased with the professional service I receive from them and quick turnaround too. read more

If I could give negative stars to Bizcom Electronics I would. Bizcom does not provide good service. I am a PC repair person with 26 years' experience, the past 9 years owning a PC repair business. There is an elderly couple that has been customers of mine for several years and they called me to their home regarding a new Toshiba laptop. When I powered it up a small blue window asked for the administrative password for the BIOS setup. They did not set up an administrative password and, in fact, would not have known how to do so. I told them that I had seen this issue before and that it indicates that the motherboard is defective. Since it was under warranty I told them that it should be sent to Toshiba for service. They replied that they had already done so and that Bizcom told them that there would be a charge for removing the password. The couple was obviously disappointed that Toshiba/Bizcom would not repair it under warranty and asked my aid. I thought that there might be a miscommunication which I might help mitigate. So I paid a second time to have the laptop sent back to Toshiba/Bizcom for repair. And it has been a nightmare of miscommunication since. In an exchange of emails I was informed that the motherboard was "damaged" and the replacement would cost over $100. I replied that I had examined the laptop before shipping and that it was in pristine shape, no scrapes, no dents, just a well-treated laptop. They then changed their story and said that the charge was for removing the password. I emailed back that the password query was a symptom of a defective motherboard, that no one had input a password in the BIOS, a password did not exist and that the board needed to be replaced. The email back from Toshiba/Bizcom was evasive. So I took to the phone and explained the issue to a case manager. The case manager stated he would review the incident and get back to me. He did not; I had to phone several times before reaching him. His reply was that upon review it was determined that sometimes the installation of software can cause the BIOS setup to ask for a password and that software problems are not covered by the warranty. He also said that the technician had never heard of a defective motherboard causing a BIOS password change. Now wasn't that strange that I have repaired literally hundreds of computers over the years and have witnessed several times defective motherboards asking for a non-existent password but have never found a software install that corrupted the BIOS. I told him this and asked that he override the technician and he replied that he cannot change the technician's decision, that he did not have the authority to change. I remarked what was the use of a case manager if they were unable to manage. I then asked to speak to his boss and he said that person was "unavailable". So ends several days of negotiating with Toshiba/Bizcom. I never did get to talk to a technician, all communications were with people hired to answer the phone. Unfortunately, my customers are living on a limited budget and decided that the cost of repairing was better than replacing the $600 laptop. If it belonged to me I would have made a video of it being used for target practice and posted it on YouTube. There's more. Toshiba/Bizcom shipped it back to me via FedEx. I requested that FedEx hold my package at a FedEx store for me to pick up since I would be working when they attempted to deliver during the day time. FedEx told me that Toshiba/Bizcom made it mandatory that the notebook be delivered only to the return address for signature. I could not take my driver's license showing the same address to FedEx for a will-call which I have done many times before. I was forced to take half a day off from work to wait for it to be delivered. Toshiba/Bizcom has shown a tremendous lack of customer sensitivity throughout. The Moral of the Story: Don't buy Toshiba and don't take anything to Bizcom if you are able to take it someplace else. read more

I was forced to RMA with this company through ASUS, but unfortunately have not been able to reach them at all. I was told to ship my laptop, shipping paid for by myself, it arrived at their facility and was simply declined and sent back. No repairs done at all. I have sent e-mails to ASUS, the RMA department here, and called them several days in a row with no response. This is completely unacceptable behavior in a business, and the reason they probably continue to stay in business is because this is the only option for ASUS warranty repairs. read more

The only action ASUS technical support gave was to aggressively attempt to sell me one of their own virus protection programs. They did nothing to help solve the problem. Geek squad solved the problem, which turned out to be a driver issue. I do not plan to buy another ASUS product. read more

I bought a new Asus notebook PC and it came with a dead battery. I shipped it to Bizcom in Milpitas, CA and I waited... It finally got there and again I waited. I called on 2-4-2013 and the person I spoke with wasn't very helpful, I didn't get his name. I called again on 2-11-2013 and Chad was extremely helpful. I'm getting next day shipping. Asus and Toshiba use Bizcom as their outsourced repair facility. THEY ARE TERRIBLE!!! I've had horrible experiences with them with both my old Toshiba laptop and my newer Asus. They've had my Asus for three weeks. The call center has no access to repair status. I've been chasing them for three weeks now to get a straight answer on what is up with my Asus. I keep getting different answers from different people. They insisted my damage was caused by a spill (it wasn't) and insisted it was an Out of Warranty repair (it wasn't). Out of frustration I gave up and agreed to pay, but i had to send my cc info four times!!! As long as Asus and Toshiba use Bizcom for repairs I will never ever buy another Asus or Toshiba. read more

My computer of 6 weeks had to be reset twice- the 2nd time it was telling me to insert windows installation disk- sounded like a hard drive issue. I contacted ASUS and they said that because it was under warranty, it was taken care of. Thoughtful on that- I asked how long it takes to do the repairs and they stated that once Bizcom got the computer that they'd have it done in 3 to 5 days- They received the computer on August 8,2014. Here I am 11 days later and have heard nothing- Asus even expidited the repair. I have contacted ASUS every couple of days like they asked me too and twice now the company has tryed to get a report on the repair and has heard nothing- does not reflect well on either company when you get a hard drive issue on a brand new laptop, and reflects even worse on the reapir place. Mind you I live in Colorado and shipping took 3 days- so at 3 days shipping I should have already gotten the computer back. read more
