    Biscuits and Gravy

Review is for take out- was excited to try this place- called and placed a to go order. The girl taking my order was lovely. Food- Kind of a let down- I was in the mood for some sausage, biscuits and gravy. Biscuits were pretty hard, gravy was meh and the sausage didn't really seem like sausage. Have had better. Biscuits seemed thawed out. Pancakes were said to be good as was the burger. Mine just missed the mark. May venture back to try some other menu items.

My daughter was craving for banana cream pie and saw this restaurant on yelp. I didn't realize they were a diner that offered all day breakfast. Big portions too. Right off university by the Chinese buffet my parents go to. Big diner, there's actually share the building with another cafe/bar. We were greeted at the host stand and put in out order at the counter. They sell $2 slice of pie, this is the small slice. The big slice is $4.

We were very happy with our brunch experience at Bizzee Bee's! There was no wait on a Sunday morning. It was seat yourself, very casual. The space is lightly decorated with taller ceilings. It felt clean and spacious. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. 10/10 recommend "the works" omelet (or any omelet, really). They load on the toppings and layer cheese on top. Toast and English muffins are served with a side of house made jam- delectably sweet. My husband got the corned beef hash with cheese added. Delicious!

Very nice breakfast. We enjoyed the French toast with homemade strawberry jam. I really enjoyed the biscuits and gravy with eggs. Very good service and a great breakfast place.

We arrived at Bizzee Bees Cafe at around 11:00am on a Sunday morning. The cafe was only about half full of people, so of course we got a table right away. The restaurant was clean and bright, and not at all noisy. The staff kept themselves busy, bustling about making sure everyone had what they needed. The decor was very simple, a few bee themed items and not a lot else. The vibe was very "small cafe" despite having quite a lot of space. We had a party of four. I ordered the #2 combo with eggs over easy and French toast. Person #2 had the country fried steak. Person #3 had the same as me, but added sausage links. Person #4 had the everything hash browns. Since they have access to the full bar next door, wo of us ordered hot chocolate and a shot of Kahlua. The hot chocolate on its own tasted like instant "Swiss Miss", or something you would get at a gas station. I didn't have high expectations at any cafe, so that was just fine with me, especially after we added the Kahlua to it. Food delivery was a little slow, but not bad since it was all made to order. The only syrup they had was Log Cabin, again to be expected at a cafe. The two who had a side of toast received a very good strawberry syrup sort of thing that was very good. The food was good, a solid cafe breakfast. Our server was great, very friendly and quick to be of service. We didn't feel rushed at all. When the bill came we were pleasantly surprised to see the total was very reasonable for a table of four, about $80. Overall a good experience, we will probably be back.

Met here for our monthly family breakfast. I ordered the eggs, bacon and toast. All was fine. I think everyone was pleased with their orders.

Great breakfast spot for us today! Excellent service. The French Toast was amazing-I had it with their homemade strawberry preserves!

the food was above and beyond! the chicken was a little overcooked/dry but not too bad. the sides were amazing as well! the sprite was usual same with coke! the cherry coke tasted way more cherry than normal which I enjoyed and the clam chowder was really good too!! I LOVED THE GRILLED CHEESE!! the best grilled cheese I've ever had. period. I also spilt my cherry coke and the staff was so kind about it! tipped well and definitely will be back for thousands more food!!

    Thursday Special is broasted chicken

We enjoyed our lunch at Bizzie Bees. Dining area is spacious, clean and comfortable. Service was very friendly, a bit slow. The Thursday Special was 4 pieces of broasted chicken. It came with roasted fresh baby potatoes, frozen mixed veggies and dnner roll.Serving was huge, crispy and hot. Hot turkey sandwich was also very big, with lots of tender roasted turkey, dressing, gravy and mashed potatoes. (Potatoes were not homemade but still tasty) We were too full to try the pie, next time.... wr.

He told me back then that someday we needed to check out J&J's. We love small business, local, non-chain restaurants. I decided to surprise my husband and take him to J&J's for Father's Day. We are empty nesters, so it was just the two of us for lunch. We arrived just after 12 p.m. There was a line out the door, which we expected since it was Father's Day and Sunday lunchtime. We were told it would be a 15-20 minute wait for a table, which we had no issue with. We ended up waiting less than 10 minutes because there was a table available on the patio. The weather was beautiful, and with summer being so short in Minnesota, we like to take advantage of it whenever we can. Our server came to our table shortly after we were seated, but it was long enough that we both had time to decide what we wanted before she arrived. I ordered the Texas Philly, and my husband had the brisket sandwich. We had to wait a while for our food, which we understood given how busy the restaurant was. Others around us were complaining about the wait, and those tables had a different server who was very apologetic about the kitchen being backed up. The hand-cut fries were piping hot and seasoned perfectly. It's so rare to go out to eat and get hot fries, let alone fries that are piping hot. That alone was worth the wait! My husband loved the brisket sandwich, and the Texas Philly was SO good--piled full of meat. We live in the south metro, but it was well worth the 30+ minute drive to get there. We'll definitely be back and will absolutely recommend J&J's to others!

I took a seat on the patio while I waited for my friend to arrive...and I waited a good 10 minutes for the server to bring menus and eventually water. When my friend arrived it was probably another 5 minutes before they came around again. My friend ordered an iced Chai and I stuck with water because they didn't offer brewed iced tea. (Note to restaurants: Stop getting the fake tea from the fountain pop machine! It tastes horribly.) There was only one server and a manager (or the owner). There weren't that many tables but it was noticeable their staff was stretched very thin. One we placed our order, it would be another 20 minutes before we'd see our food. Only after I stopped the manager when our food would come, he popped in and came right out with our dishes. The food failed. My friend ordered the Ropa Vieja Benedict and I had the steak scrambled. My friend stated the eggs and meat was cooked perfectly but the basil hollandaise sauce was made with mustard (powder) and he could barely take two bites before stopping. My steak scrambled was cold along the edges, the eggs, were cooked well, but the steak wasn't seasoned and even the salsa was bland. We had to flag down our server (again) because she failed to check on us, to ask for the checks. Thats when my friend said he wasn't going to take the food home nor did he think he should pay for it. Keep in mind this was just breakfast so I can't speak for all the other offerings but given this experience, we won't be back.

We were helped immediately upon coming in, we were seated where we needed (bc of a baby in a car…read moreseat), and our order taken within a minute or two. We ordered the lettuce wraps, Korean street noodles, a mocktail, and a non Corona. (They're down with the nons, which is a GREAT addition to any menu. Owner, thank you for that, I desperately needed to trick my brain into thinking I was drinking a real beer tonight.) The menu is diverse, they have simple known dishes, and different styles of dishes you haven't tried before to mix it up a little. Give the hare a try? Absolute yes. The ambiance is calm, music at a decent volume, and lights are low, and the food and drinks are plentiful. This is an easy first date spot, late night food spot, or chill evening to gather with friends! The staff was helpful, warm, and super prompt. Will be back, great vibe!

There is a large parking lot with free parking. When we walked in, the place was pretty dead. Typically not a great sign around dinner time. Our server must have been new because he had very nervous energy and kept forgetting things. We couldn't quite figure out the vibe for this place. Is it Minnesota? Is it 90's? It just felt off. The food: the wings were pretty decent. I wish they had more seasoning on them! The pad thai was very average and left us wanting bolder flavors. The tacos were stuffed and almost too hard to eat. The flavors were good. I will say, the portions here are very large! Overall, this place just seemed "off" from start to finish..." Unfortunately I would not recommend this place

Second visit to this location, not as busy as the last time here, but still bright and inviting…read more My server was great again, staff here all have been wonderful so far , but what impressed me most was 1 server coming in and the other servers immediately wishing her happy birthday, and shortly after, 2 male servers came in and the manager immediately congratulating both of them on something/whatever.... a business where people care about one another and are invested! KUDOS! I definitely love that about this place and want to continue to visit because they care about their people. As far as today's food, I wanted to try something outside of the box and not yet featured on Yelp, so I opted for the Southern Style Fried Chicken and Waffle. The waffle, no notes, tasty, not doughy, simple. The sausage gravy, delicious. The jalapeño cream cheese syrup, absolutely my favorite part of the whole dish. The chicken, let's discuss. Four pieces on top the waffle, and looked like a ton until I started digging in. Way over breaded (see photos), chicken was tasty and moist but the breading was way too much. If you love extra breading, this is perfect. If you don't mind peeling off a lot of extra breading, this dish is a good offering. Overall, a better food experience than the last visit, maybe 3rd visit will take them to a 5 star rating. There is Hope for Hope.
