    Eggs Benedict

My son and I tried this restaurant because of advertising. Major disappointment, way over hyped. I had eggs Benedict, the (knorr) hollandaise sauce was disgusting. No real butter was used. The eggs were fine but I did encounter egg shells, it happens. The English muffin and hash browns had an off flavor. I had to leave the hash browns. My son had pancakes and a waffle. His pancakes were subpar, the flavor. The waffle was a crime. It was the size of a hamburger bun and dry as a bone. The server was good. The restaurant was a dive but I am fine with that. Two star was because of the server. Food zero star.

Ok food that actually exceeded value vs price, but unfriendly service and a couple other misses may keep us from coming back. One issue we had was our food came out way later than others who arrived and ordered after us. We eventually asked our waitress who simply said they had been busy. The hash browns were however perfect.

I just love this breakfast, the service is friendly and the coffee is kept full, reminds me of a small town diner located just north of NE Minneapolis. This is a great place to go if you're looking for breakfast.

Roman is the egg master level 1000. They are aways consistent. Perfection takes time. Any one looking for AMAZING breakfast nook this is the spot! I'd travel to the moon and back for his delicious on point breakfast!! Do your self a favor and put them on your list of must try's.

Upon arriving, there was only an available stool at the bar. I sat there and waited 8 minutes before anyone came to the end of the breakfast bar to greet me. That's when I should have left. Nope. I stayed. A kind gentleman, Carl sat next to me with interesting conversations. The owner came out to greet Carl, offered him coffee, and did not bother to speak to me. Bastard. My pork chop breakfast was not even fair. Dried pork chop, slightly overcooked hash-browns, my eggs were good. Needless to say, Roman's flatlined on arrival and did NOTHING to revive itself during the duration of my visit. It's a hard NO on any kind of return.

This place is just incredible. Any time you want a cozy, homemade, guaranteed delicious breakfast, come here. The menu is extensive, they have every single breakfast craving out there, and everything is amazing! The pancakes are to die for, they are sweet, fluffy, the edges are a little crispy, just amazing. I always get an omelet and it is just so good ( I do egg whites sometimes too) and they are extremely accommodating! There are healthy options too which I really appreciate. The decor in there is also all over the place but I do love it for what it is. The service is always top notch, never have to wait too long! Definitely will always come here for a great bfast.

This place was a fantastic local diner. The food was delicious; HUGE variety on the menu for both breakfast and lunch. The pancakes had a tasty crunch to them unlike other breakfast places! The hash browns are the perfect texture of crispy and soft. THE SYRUP WAS WARM *applause*!! For 9:30 AM on a Friday, the place was fairly bustling. There are 4 person table tops, approximately 7 booths, and a diner bar either several stools. There was only one server; she was incredibly hospitable! The ambiance was fun and different... a family owned, biker influenced joint! The wall decor was humorous. Note** Street parking; the front of the restaurant is for take-out only. ** Single diner on the weekend: you are only allowed to sit at the bar stools. ** Free coffee refills; you may have to ask for a water as it is not just assumed you would like some.

Hidden Gem! My husband and I were running and errand in the area and thank goodness for yelp or I would never have happened upon this delicious diner. Very old school, tchotchke-filled diner style inside with a few spots at a counter, booths and a few tables. The server greeted us as soon as we walked in and coffee was poured within 60 seconds. I enjoyed my suburban omelette, a nice lighter egg wrapping which I enjoy and the side of bacon was so delectable. Thick cut and crispy! You have an option for toast or pancake as a side and I was so glad I went with the pancake. They were delicious on their own without syrup or butter and the edges had almost a candied-ness to them. My husbands corned beef hash was probably my favorite thing. The corned beef was so well seasoned, a good pepper spice and so flavorful. I will order it the next time we're back which will be soon!

Wow! This place is down the street from me and I wanted to try it for so long, and I was not disappointed at all! You can seat yourself, so that comes with upsides and downsides depending on how busy it is. Service was really quick even though there appeared to be one waiter on staff during the weekday when we came in. Our staffer was immediately attentive to us and we wanted for nothing. I don't know how she manages to do it alone, but she was super efficient. The food was so good!!! It was hot and made to order, and it came out the kitchen fast. I loved that everything tasted so fresh and homemade. They serve you warm syrup and it was the highlight of my Pancakes and French toast. I truly can't wait to come back. I will only come back during a weekday. This is not a brunch spot; this is an old school diner spot where you get your food quick and fill up and go. The place is small and quaint, so don't linger. FYI- It's best to bring cash because there is an extra 3% on credit cards.

Delicious breakfast! Cash discount. The blueberry pancakes were terrific! Everything was piping hot when it was placed in front of me. The service was kind. This place was very busy for a Thursday morning, which was good to see! The American fries were perfectly crisp.

On a last-minute work trip to Minneapolis, I asked all of my foodie friends where I absolutely had…read moreto make a reservation, and the answer was universal: Vinai. I was able to snag a solo spot at the bar/chef's counter about a week in advance for a 7 pm weekday slot, and I'm so glad I listened. I'd never had Hmong food before coming to Minneapolis. It's plentiful here, but it's quickly become clear to me why Vinai is the "it" spot for a nicer Hmong dinner. The menu is vast and broken down by size of dish, which makes it easy to mix and match. Since I was solo and wanted to try as many things as possible, I opted for several smaller things. Pro tip: sitting at the chef's counter unlocks an additional "secret menu" of daily specials you can only order if you're sitting there. These seem like the best part of the menu, and I'm so grateful my friends pushed me to book the chef's counter specifically. What I ordered: - Severine (gin, vodka, white vermouth, lime leaf): A martini riff with a Hmong twist. Really light but interesting. - Curry rice ball (garlic cream cheese and blue crab in a fried ball): Tasty but nothing that blew me away. I'd skip on a future visit. - Grilled shrimp (3 whole head-on grilled prawns topped with green mango and jicama salad, served with purple sticky rice): This was off the secret menu and was unreal. Light, herbal, fresh. Drool-worthy. - Shrimp-pork toast (prawn mixture on Texas toast with apricot chili): So tasty, punchy flavors. My waitress kindly let me get a half order because I was getting full but really wanted to try this AND the fried rice. - Crabby fried rice (generously topped fried rice with blue crab): Half of this became lunch for the next day. - White rabbit candy ice cream scoop topped with olive oil and sea salt: Perfect end to an indulgent, incredible meal. The food here is insanely flavorful, and it's such a fun vibe; even on a Tuesday night, it filled up pretty quickly! I cannot recommend sitting at the bar more: you get really great service, you get to watch the chefs cook, AND you unlock the secret menu. My waitress was a highlight of the night, super helpful with every ordering decision and even brought me a complimentary half order of the shrimp-pork toast when I was torn between two crowd favorites trying to pick my last item. Truly above and beyond. Genuinely hoping work sends me back to Minneapolis soon, if only to eat here again!

The hostess was very good - nice, friendly & efficient. The place was bustling on a Thursday evening. It's obviously a hotspot with guests dressed nicer than normal for MN. Not many Asians though, which is always iffy for an Asian restaurant. We had the ff: Grilled Shrimp +Green Mango Salad - this was OK. A regular order came with three shrimp and they added one more shrimp since there was four of us. I have had green mango salad in the small Asian deli, and this seemed very mild compared to those with none of the fishy taste & the green mango wasn't very sour. Hmong Cucumbers - I know the menu said it was spicy but compared to everything else. This was extremely spicy that we had to order some sticky purple rice to be able to eat it. We probably left half of it and didn't take it to go. Fried Catfish - we loved the fried catfish chunks that you put in lettuce to make a wrap. Charred Cabbage - this was a standout winner for our group. It had so many textures and the flavor was amazing. Grilled Fish - seabass stuffed with herbs & lime. This was very good & fresh, very mild tasting as expected. Crabby Fried Rice with pork belly - this rice was good and the pork belly was crispy. I couldn't really taste the crab even if I could see it you also don't really need the pork belly unless you want more protein. Purple Sticky Rice Mama vang sauce - the server told us it was extra spicy today when she brought the sauce out, and she wasn't lying we could barely eat it. I feel like the food didn't really need the extra sauces. Chocolate Lava Cake - I am willing to go back just to eat this cake again. It was that amazing. It had some toffee and a sauce and the ice cream and the lava coming out was just all a perfect combination. We still talk about it. I don't know if spice levels are a thing. We like some spice and everything except for the cucumber was very tasty but nothing really spicy. I wish they had a few more entree options on the menu like ribs and the Hmong sausage that is supposedly in the secret menu. Service was good as expected, but they were very busy and sometimes it was hard to get the attention of the waiter like when we had to ask for the sticky rice. It seems like he was attending to so many tables and really only had time to stop by once. He asked us how everything was barely 5 minutes after we received the food so we really haven't had a chance to eat it. We felt that the place is very loud and we could hardly hear ourselves that even if we were close, we still needed to shout and that just made the whole place even louder. Even a normal conversation bounces off the walls making everything louder. Overall, we were very happy to have finally tried it, and may go back someday, especially for the chocolate lava cake!

He wouldn't stop raving about how delicious his sandwich was, and my steak was like butter with chimichurri and yuka fries on the side.
