We went here for brunch and will be back! Everything here was seamless. Plenty of parking, friendly quick host, and a waitress that was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We were very surprised at the size of the portions. You do get your money's worth here. I would recommend the pancakes. They were very large. You could probably split some of their meals. read more

This place has been around for years. It's a great place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Service was friendly and great. We ordered the whole kitchen omelette that (as the name suggests) has a lot of everything: ham, sausage, lots of veggies. It's a big, beautiful omelet. Comes with a choice of bread and their homemade jam. We also ordered their buttermilk pancakes which are huge and come with whipped butter. Such a great family restaurant. We came to Lynde's on Christmas Eve with the girls to start a new family tradition, breakfast together and it did not disappoint. The food is consistently awesome, with very generous portions. Always check the daily specials. The staff is incredibly helpful and welcoming. Our server was a young woman in her twenties working hard on Christmas Eve and doing it all with genuine joy. She was great with the girls and attentive to our table the entire time. Super delicious freshly squeezed orange juice to start and partners had a bottomless cup of coffee both at a reasonable price. Ordered a cinnamon roll and was surprised by the size definitely shareable for 2 - 3 people. Grandpas platter was the choice for both in the party with one being a/ poached eggs ( a bit watery ) and the other with eggs over easy. Ask for dry toast or English muffin as the butter is overdone. Provided with a house made jam which was runny, which to me was strange. Service was prompt & checked back on satisfaction. The decor in the inside is unique with firehouse & Osseo reference. My fiancé and I decided to try a new breakfast place instead of the usual Perkins or IHOP restaurants. We really enjoyed our time here! We were seated right away, and our server was very friendly. Service was fast as well, which is awesome to see. I loved the environment and the vibe of the restaurant, very family-friendly and welcoming. I ordered a buttermilk pancake with chocolate chips, and I was amazed at how large it was! I ended up eating half of it and then taking the rest home. My fiancé ordered the Country Benedict. The restaurant was clean and food came out quickly -- that's the plus side of my experience. On the other hand, there was not a single healthy offering on the lunch menu. Both soup offerings were entirely cream-based. No low-fat salad dressings. The online menu isn't current. While not entirely offensive, the waitress called us (and everyone else) "honey". I ordered a bottomless Diet Coke, but the waitress never returned to check on us. We flagged her down for the check an hour after receiving our food. I asked for another Diet Coke. She returned with the check but no Coke. She asked if I wanted a receipt and I said "yes". She never returned with the receipt so we left. She never mentioned that she was busy so I assumed she was handling a normal work load. Maybe breakfast is better, but I'll never know. read more

Located just off CR-81 outside of downtown Osseo is this adorable little cafe/breakfast bar. The space is welcoming and inviting with 2 separate dining sections as well as a breakfast bar facing the kitchen. We stopped in for Sunday breakfast and were blown away. I must note, I was always under the impression they were a breakfast only establishment. Turns out the are open until 9 most nights and have a full lunch and dinner menu with a wide array of wraps, sandwiches, burgers, soups and salads as well as common diner fare. Upon arrival we were promptly greeted by the friendly hostess and asked to sit at the breakfast counter. As soon as we sat down the server was in front of us offering water and coffee. Along with the water and coffee I asked for a Bloody Mary. I would also like to note I didn't realize they had a beer and hard liquor selection which was great news for me! Unfortunately the staff was extremely unfamiliar with the current the orders in place with expired licenses being extended through 2020 and would not serve me. This was extremely disappointing as I was excited to see they offered Bloody Marys! I have been to multiple establishments with no questions asked about my ID being expired which happened durning the pandemic. Be that as it may it's their right and I accepted that. On to the food. Wow. This is home cooking at its finest. I ordered the garden skillet and opted to add sausage as I wanted all the veggies as well as some meat! This skillet was jammed packed with onions, bell pepper, tomatoes, broccoli, mushrooms and potatoes all underneath a healthy portion of cheddar cheese and two eggs. The skillet also comes with a side of bread. All and all I had an enjoyable experience and the staff was extremely friendly. We went out for breakfast with some coworkers on a weekday. The menu is basic, but they have anything you could want and prices are fair. They also put a coffee carafe on the table which is so convenient. I've been here a few times and my favorites so far are the whole kitchen omelette, the back bacon Benedict, Charlie Brown Benedict, French toast, and the chocolate chip pancakes. The pancakes are HUGE. We usually get a 'table pancake' to share because they're too good to miss. One of the best things about Lyndes is the people and family-owned environment. The owner Chuck is one of the nicest people around and he's got all his kids and grandkids working. The service is always great because everyone cares that you have a good experience. read more

The prices are super reasonable, which is what drew us here in the first place. We don't always need a fancy brunch! We were seated right away when we got there around 11:00am on a Saturday. I ordered their special cocktail - it was a Rumchata Hot Chocolate. Protip: add coffee to it if that's your style! We had coffee also, and they give a carafe of it at your table. We waited for 30 minutes just to get our order taken. We waited another 30 minutes for food that I would expect from Perkins down the street. I spent 1.5 hours here so you don't have to. Place was clean and not noisy. But I wouldn't recommend coming here for a yummy home cooked meal. Your better off at Perkins. I ordered the biscuits and gravy it was super disappointing. It was literally one biscuit cut in half and an entire pool of gravy in a bowl. The gravy was not flavorful at all it was bland. The American potatoes were undercooked and also flavorless. I was lucky enough to come to Lynde's for the first time during their Labor Day special this weekend! So....no buffet, but they have an amazing All You Can Eat Broasted Chicken dinner special that is stupendous!!! The dinner alone was all I could eat! White and dark broasted chicken made to perfection, Cole slaw, mashed potatoes, and corn bread. Everything was perfect with the exception of the corn bread which was a little on the dry side for my preference, but the sweet butter compensated perfectly. On a surprise note - There's Mac & Cheese with this plate! It's not on the menu, so it's like a hidden surprise! It's way more cheesy than it is Mac and completely yum! The dinner plate comes with soft Chocolate Chip cookies! We finished the meal with their over the top Carrot Cake! Lynde's is my new Carrot Cake hot spot! Irresistible!!! read more

We used to come to Lyndes every Sunday for family brunch, but then I got cancer and went whole food plant based. The only food I could eat there was steamed broccoli at that point which was very boring. I tried bringing sauces of my own and my own organic teas, but eventually I just had to stop eating there. Excellent service and dinner. I had to keep a point because the gluten free prep is not available. But, they do have some gf options and are knowledgable. I had the rotisserie chicken which was tasty (unlike the grocery store version). The smashed potatoes and steamed broccoli were great additions round out the meal. Hubby chowed the broasted chicken like a banshee. He loved the creamy cole slaw and fries are always a hit. We have a new addition to our dinner stops in the metro. read more
