Ok, let's be honest. What were my initials thoughts on going ATV? Let's just say that it was a far cry from fun, adventurous and great way to spend 2 hours. In fact, it was a little closer to what about my freshly manicured nails or I don't want to walk out helmet hair. Who knew I'd hop on an ATV and take off the way I did? Even on our 20 minute drive along the beach to the ATV site, I was still shaking in my boots while trying to come up with an excuse to not stay on the ATV for the full two hours. After one quick second on the ATV, I got over my fear and it was clear that I was a natural. Well, maybe not that natural since I did get stuck in the sand quick a few times but even I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Definitely a great way to spend 2 hours at Pismo Beach! *We had a group of 10 and managed to snag a group discount, so we paid $70 each for two hours including helmet and goggle rental. Don't forget to take advantage of their check-in offer of having the $5 gas fee waived! read more

We had a party of 10 so we were able to get the group discount. If you aren't able to get the group discount, you can still check-in on Yelp to get a $5 discount on gas on each rental! It is also better to reserve ahead of time as we did. There weren't many people on the slightly rainy Saturday in December that we went on, but expect it to get crowded in sunnier conditions! After our group discount it was $75 per person plus a $100 refundable deposit per person upon return. Things to consider bringing or wearing: 1) Long pants and socks (jeans preferably) because the exhaust gases can be hot and you'll be better off if you fall. 2) Headsock because the helmets smell pretty bad. People sweat in them, what do you expect? I actually used my hoodie as a headsock, but they also sell them there too. 3) Gloves because they dampen the vibrations from the ATV and offer more grip. They are also sold there. 4) Sunscreen, though we went on a somewhat cloudy/partially sunny day with some rain. 5) Good tough shoes, kind of like the type you would wear when riding a motorcycle. 6) Goggles or sunglasses. They give you free ones, but you can buy new ones as well. There are 4 ATV models that are offered, both in manual and automatic versions. We all rented the Honda 250EX, which is a semi-automatic model. Many people in our group had never operated a manual transmission vehicle before and despite that, the operation of the 250EX was easy to pick up when taught to us by the instructor. It was also fairly fast! The 400EX is a full manual and only for experienced dirt bike riders. We parked at the business office and were shuttled to the beach where all the ATV's were at once we signed all waivers, paid fees, and received our equipment. I was instantly overtaken by the natural beauty of the beach when we arrived. Once on our ATV's we took a short trip along the shore towards the dunes where the real fun began. Good tips while at the dunes: 1) Approach descents slowly and survey the area before crawling down, foot brake if necessary. 2) If you're going to go up a hill, make sure you commit to it and build enough speed so that you won't end up stuck half way up or worse, having to retreat from the attempt and come back down. 3) If you are stuck, do not keep accelerating, you'll just dig yourself into a deeper hole. Instead, rock back and forth to free yourself or use reverse gear. And when using reverse, it is better to use the handbrake. Lastly, the customer service was great. One of the ATV's in our group broke down on the way back and I went back to notify staff. One of the reps followed me back to the stranded party with a new ATV while towing back the old one. If you haven't been ATV'ing before, then you're missing out!!! I went ATV'ing for the first time this weekend and I had sooo much fun! Our party of 15 arrived at BJ's a little before their last check-in time and the service was really fast and everything went by smoothly. We signed our papers and were given full-faced helmets. The helmets were new, so they were in great condition! I didn't need them, but they also had gloves available for purchasing. The beach was only a mile away and parking was only $5/car, so we opt to drive our cars down to the beach instead of shuttling. If you're driving a sedan, remember to stay on the packed sand, as your car WILL get stuck! No joke...that happened to one of our cars and it took about 20 minutes to get it out! Once we finally arrived at our ATVs, we were given a very brief 'orientation' about the rules of riding. Then we were assigned to our ATVs and given short instructions on how to operate the ATVs. Several of us had difficulty hearing the instructions, but we all figured it out eventually. A couple of the ATVs kept having problems, but I'm not sure if it was due to the ATVs themselves or the newbie riders. Whatever the case, my ATV ran fine and I had an awesome time! read more

I love this place, I am so happy that my very first ATV experience was here! I called several weeks ahead because I knew we were going with a large group and wanted to ensure that they had enough ATVs for everyone. They made it easy for me to reserve ATVs and the truly are busy so call ahead several weeks in advance! When we showed up, the forms were ready for us and everything was very easy and descriptive. The helmets were DEFINITELY smelly, but I mean ... it is what it is, you're going to ATV somewhere - you just have to deal with it! I suppose you could bring your own but who owns an ATV helmet or dirt bike helmet these days ... Anyway, I have to say, the sand dunes were a lot bigger than they looked. If you even flinch you will not make it up the hill so you really have to pedal to the metal in some cases, but otherwise all the ATVs worked great, they had good power and good shifting and it was so much fun. I can't say enough about it! I even ended up with a wrist tan because I had some gloves and I had a sweater that didn't quite cover my wrists all the way ... looked funny for weeks! My friends and I came in when they opened. It took awhile for us to sign the paperwork, pay, and get our helmets. I was a little grossed out by my helmets as they smelled a bit funky. We rented ATVs for 2 hours- $70. $5 gas fee per 2 hours- free with yelp check in. $100 deposit is also required. We drove to Oceano Dunes and parked on the street. Then a "shuttle" took us down to the beach. The guy quickly explained to us how to operate our ATVs. I didn't catch all of it- I was relying on my friends. I was scared! When my vehicle shifted a little to the side, I felt like I was going to tip over. I stuck to driving on gradual inclines/downhills. One of my friends actually fell off her vehicle, so be careful! I also suggest wearing a bandanna, sunglasses, gloves, and long pants. After the two hours were up, we returned out ATVs and waited a while for the shuttle. Then we drove back to the office to return out helmets and get our deposit back. It was a great experience overall, but not one I need to do again anytime soon. read more

The service was good, but the girl could not understand me to save her life. I told her we wanted to pay in pairs, couples, two-sies, and STILL she billed two of us each for 3 ppl? how is that possible? I mean it just shows how much she cared and/or was paying attention. Best ATV rental! Friendly and welcoming staff! They were very patient with us and also made sure we understood all the instructions. My friends and I had a great time in the sand dunes! I was so scared to go down but I did it :) so much fun!!! I enjoyed riding by the beach! So beautiful and relaxing :) The drivers will pick you up and drop you off at the ATVs. Our driver was awesome! Even though they drive back and forth he seemed so energized and always entertained us! When you get to the ATVs you can actually learn and ride around the area once you are comfortable. They show you and teach you :) I would prefer to do it with a group of friends. We had a reservation for 10AM, in my head I arrive at 945 and I am on the dunes riding at 10:05, yeah...that's not how it worked. If you are a time person, I would suggest leaving at least 3 hours free for a one hour ride. It was just time consuming to check in and get to the sand and this was our fault for not knowing. They are so friendly, and the ATV's are fast,reliable, and easy to learn. We had the best time ever!

I feel like this is a review that every first time ATV riders should know about. 1. Click a LOT of pictures of the ATV. From a LOT of angles. So that you know whether a damage in the vehicle was after you rode it, or if that is how to got it in the first place. 2. If you are in a sand hole and you are helped by the crew to get out of it, make sure you know what the crew member's name is. If there was a damage done while pulling the ATV, you will have someone to tell your half of the incident. We were a group of 4 people and went there on my birthday. The signing-up process went on as expected. We were told about the safety rules, how to operate, where to park, where to ride, etc. And my experience was as it would be for any first timer (I guess). I rode around, got used to gears, got stuck a few times, got out of it, rode some more. I once got stuck in a sand hole and was struggling to get out. But then a crew member spotted me and came to help. I asked him, 'Are you with BJ's?'. He said 'Yes'! He was God-sent at that moment. He helped my ATV out of the hole and I rode around some more! It was an overall fun experience. Once 2-hours were over, we came back to the base to return our rentals. And that is when the trouble started. We were told that I 'rolled over' with the ATV and in doing so, had messed up the steering. Now, I KNOW I didn't roll over. Rolling over with an ATV on sand dunes is something I would have NOTICED! I tried telling that to the BJ's folks on the beach, and I was told "Don't lie to me. We know you rolled over. We do this everyday. Don't waste your time. Go over to that lady and pay". Needless to say, this is NOT the way anyone would liked to be talked to. Specially on their birthday!! And the guys there wont listen to anything we had to say. All they kept saying is- Pay and leave. I told them that I was stuck on a ditch and that guy can tell them that I didn't roll over! But the customer service people told us that they didn't have anyone in the dunes, and the person who helped me was NOT a BJ's person. Although he claimed to be BJ's when I asked?? He was impersonating BJ's?? Hilarious. I was told to "Go find that person (in sand dunes which stretched for 6 miles, BTW) because someone is paying for the damage." 30 minutes or so later after trying to have a conversation with what felt like talking to a wall, I gave up. At that point I was ready to pay, BUT wanted them to know at the same time that I did NOT do the damage, and would pay them just to not be insulted with their behavior!!!! Things suddenly changed after that. They made a phone call to someone, and said "Umm, so we will not charge you". Again, what? Did they find the person who pulled me out to vouch for me? I didn't care at that time. We all had enough. Having said that, would I go back for ATV rides? YES!! Will it be with BJ's? It's safe to say, never again. read more

We tried to rent an ATV this weekend. They said just to walk-in, which we did, but they said they don't have anything available. So I made a reservation for the same day online for 3 hr later. which we arrived 1 hr ahead of reservation time, which it took more than 75 min , for waiting in line & for them to process the reservation, . then it took another 40 min to get to the beach, to pick up the ATV. ALL of the 4 ATV's that we got , were OLD, RUSTED, BUMPERS WERE STICHED IN, & the worse part was that the engine heat partially burned my right leg, since it had a hole in it, and I was very uncomfortable for the whole duration of the rental. Their explanation was," it is rental, it is old, & what do you expect " Ha Ha Ha, Their price was not competitive either. Other ATV rental had the same if not better prices, better service & better / newer ATV's, which we did the next day with Steve ATV right next to the beach Entrance. Do NOT waist your time or Money HERE. I forgot to mention , they told us the rental hourly fee includes everything, but the They charged $10 per ATV for Gas, which it does not cost that much for 45 min use, & another $10 service fee, / park fee, other. 3.5% credit card fee. read more

This was my first trip to Pismo beach and ATVing. We did not know we had to make a reservation. We found this place on yelp and decided to go with BJs. There was a line when we arrived, about 10 people. There had two people helping the line of people. It appeared there were understaffed. We waited about 35 minutes and it was our turn. The lady called out " next with reservations". We got back in line and waited again, then the other person yelled, "next"! We went up to the window and he asked if we had reservations, we said no. Before we can get another word in he quickly said we are helping people with reservations only right now. That was it. I was in line for 50 minutes and there was no sign posted bout reservations will be serve first. I felt that I was at the DMV and they didn't care. I understand that I should have done more research and made reservations. But we wasted time waiting and there could have posted a sign or they can let people know the first time that they are helping people with reservations only! We went to ATV sunbuggy and they helped us right away without a reservations and was friendly. If it's your first time, go with a place that takes the time to help you! I understand it gets busy on the weekend but providing good customer service to everyone should be important! This is my personal experience and unfortunately it was not a good one. Since it was memorial weekend, I thought it would be tough to make reservation the day before but it wasn't. We had our reservation at 12 but came around 1120 and was checked in early. They have a new office that is across the street on the right side. The new office is for those who made reservation while their old building is for those who are walk ins. It might change where they just use the new building. Just an FYI for those who have reservation so they won't have to wait in line at the old building. The staff was getting used to their new building so it was a little chaotic but that didn't bother me. I would recommend the gloves, not so much the bandana. Short Story: A fun ride on the central coast over sand dunes! It was a blast! :) Long Story: It was my first time on an ATV and it was really fun. The people here give you about a 10 minute lesson on how to ride the ATV and what gears to use. Then you are off on your own! Yep, you have lots of places and ground to cover during your 2 or 4 hour ride. It was amazing fun and well worth the $75. BJ's has friendly, laidback, responsive staff! They set up my party efficiently and quickly with all the paperwork and transportation to the sand dunes. My group had a lot of fun on the Honda 250ex and 400ex ATVs, which didn't give us many issues for the most part. My 400ex didn't start after 30 minutes of riding around, but I had my friends send for help and 3 staff members came to check out my ATV very quickly. They couldn't fix it on the spot, so they towed me and my ATV back to camp. I ended up getting another 400ex to ride and they even extended the time limit for my entire party 45 minutes! I didn't have any issues with my ATV after that. I'd definitely consider returning if I ever find myself near Pismo Beach again. read more

Finally got around to going atving with the bf! We made our reservation for 10am. We got to the main office at 9:00. The kind lady at the desk was nice and asked if we had gopros and they have a gopros mount helmet! We signed all the papers and she sent us down to the beach area to get picked up by the shuttle. TIP: Good thing to go early because parking is limited and it is street parking with a maximum of 2 hours. They cannot guarantee anything about tickets if you exceed your two hours. Got picked up at the beach and the guys were pretty chill and fun to talk to. Once we got there we learned the gears of the 250 and got right to it. It takes a while to learn but once you get going it's easy! Be careful to look before you go down the dunes, it's very easy to get lost and get stuck. So look before you go and always go slower if you feel a little scared. If you get stuck just get off your atv and try to pull it out and you'll be fine! The engines are a little old but it still works, so it's okay. BE CAREFUL TO NOT EAT SHIIIIIII-- be safe is what I'm trying to say so you don't fall off like me and get bruises everywhere! read more

Terrible Employee Customer Service. We came this past weekend to ride ATV and needed to rent ATV's and anything else that sounded fun. When we got to the beach we pulled up to find a spot. Little did we know we were parking in front of BJ's ATV Rentals. The moment we started parking we heard extremely rude yelling coming from the ATV trailer tell us we needed to move. Not asking us in a nice business and customer service way to move and perhaps guide us to a location to park where we can then rent their ATV's. As we were trying to figure out where to go and our next location we kept rudely being yelled at by the employees of this company, not assisting us but continuously yelling for us to move. I mentioned to the Employee we were trying to move and they don't need to yell. Also informing him of his terrible customer service and that this was no way to treat a potential customer and that in fact I would inform others to not rent from their company. He then told me he could care less. So that is what I am doing now. Much friendlier companies to rent from and though these companies rely on walk up traffic for rental business hopefully the owner will be able to talk to their employees about customer service and that every person on that beach could be a potential customer. From beginning to end our experience with BJ's was awesome. Checking in was a breeze, and the ladies at the counter were great! They were really nice and answered all the questions that we had in regards to what we should expect for the day. We went on a Saturday, so the beach was pretty packed, but we were lucky enough to find parking right before the entrance. The one thing I did not like about the experience was the wait we had at the beach. We were told to walk down the hill and wait for one of their trucks to pick us up. We waited for a good 20minutes, and we still didn't see their vehicle. We waved around our pretty pink slip and everything. We finally had to call their main line to let them know we were still waiting. Once we got picked up, it was a short drive to the ATV area. Here we were prepped and instructed in a crash course of "How to Drive an ATV". I thought that our ATV's would be automatic, but they weren't, so we learned how to change gears and everything. All of it is fairly easy to remember, and you'll really learn as you go. The guys were super helpful and they too answered our questions. Tips for the Ride: -Bring Water!!!! I cannot stress this enough. If you're not familiar with ATVing, chances are you're going to get stuck a couple of times, and getting yourself or someone else out of that rut is tiring!! And, 2 hours of riding is a long long time in the sand. -Sunglasses will suffice. -Bring gloves w/grips. Really helps you keep your hands on the handles. -If you get stuck, put your ATV in first gear and rev yourself out by steering either to the left of right. -If you can't start your ATV, jump up on it a little, I don't what that does, but it helps get it started. If that still doesn't work, try to get it to level ground and try starting it again. read more

Knowing that I had zero experience behind the wheel of an ATV, my wife and I agreed to rent a 4-seat Pioneer and pay extra to include a driver. Once we got out on the dunes my wife and I quickly realized how lucky we were to have Richard as our driver. There was no way I would have been able to navigate as expertly through the Rolling Dunes bank at fun speeds through the bowls, or climb the steeper faced sections. With all honesty this was the most thrilling adventure I have had in a long time. Richard was friendly, polite, and super knowledgeable concerning the Pismo Oceano region, patiently answering our many questions. BJ's was a great place to rent from. We showed up early to our appointment, but did not get to start on time due to a long line of people who were also renting. Was afraid that this would cut into our ride time, but it was extended so we got the full 2 hrs that we paid for starting from the time we got to the vehicles. Spent $77 for 2 hrs. This included a helmet and goggles. Checked-in with Yelp so the $5 gas fee was deducted (original total was $82). The staff was very friendly and informative and made this a great experience. I came here with 14 friends for a birthday. We were told to wait at the picnic table for a free shuttle. The shuttle didn't even pick us up at the picnic table. It was dropping and picking people off down towards the entrance where the sand begins. We along with 30-40 other people were all waiting at the table. 30 minutes passed and no shuttle was available. We soon found out that there was only 1 van that was working. So we had to wait 30-45 minutes each time...not sure why the shuttle took so long. Last but not least, we were the one of the last groups to leave the beach. They only had a Ford Explorer that can fit 8 people. There were 30 people waiting for the Ford Explorer to take us back to the main beach. BJ's is a smaller business that looks like it is starting out. Steve's and Sunbuggy have a way bigger operation and a lot more organized. I'll probably want to go there instead. read more

If you check in you receive $5 off which is the gas surcharge. So for me it came out to $70 for 2 hours of riding. My first time really riding an ATV, I was pretty nervous at not really knowing how it was going to go. The service we received was pretty good and going with a large group they allowed us to each pay separately which made it a lot easier for everyone to pay. The staff was pretty helpful at the office, but when we got to the beach we were told that there would be transportation to the actual ATVing site. We waited about 10 minutes or so and no one had come yet so we called the office to ask what we should do, and I guess there had been some sort of miscommunication because the people who would be transporting us didn't know there was a group waiting to be picked up. You can also pay $5 to park on the beach, we did not. We chose to find a spot on the street. Once at the ATV site we were given a real brief overview on how these machines work. REAL BRIEF! I mean they aren't hard to ride but once you get stuck and you don't know how to get out, you look like an idiot trying. You would think that they would have people driving around just in case something like that happens. I got stuck about 4 times before even getting to the dunes...and this guy working there was just yelling at me from a far about what to do...ok, when the engines running, and other ATVs are flying past us, it's kind of hard to hear anything. But anyways after being stuck at the beginning it was really fun, the ATVs are kinda hard to get used to with the shifting, and even putting it in reverse. But still fun! I came here with a group of my friends at the end of last month and had a great experience. Very helpful and friendly staff and decent prices. Here's what they recommended for first timers: Honda 250EX for the guys ($70 for 2 hours) Yamaha grizzly 125 for the girls ($45 for 2 hours) How it works is, you sign some papers, pay, get your helmet, and drive out to the dunes (if your car can handle it) or you get chauffeured by one of the staff members. They'll bring out the ATVs, run you through the rules, teach you how to operate the ATV, and let you lose for some of the best fun you'll ever have. They mentioned a deal they're having the entire month of February: $50 for a 250ex for 2 hours (normally $70). Rented from BJ's with a large group of guys over the weekend and had a blast. The only negative aspect was that there were two groups ahead of us when we arrived, and they took FOREVER to get processed because one or two people kept showing up and cutting ahead of us to join their friends. Our entire group was together and waited 45 minutes before getting to the front of the line. That wait contributed to throwing off our itinerary that day. Extra time was wasted because BJ's is not located on Pier Ave., so after getting processed and getting your helmets and goggles, you still have to drive yourself a mile or two down the road, park, and walk down onto the beach to get picked up. When we parked on Pier Ave. we gave our organizer a rough time because we saw several ATV rental places (I remember seeing an Arnie's and Steve's) that were empty. All of the staff were very friendly and we didn't have any major problems with the ATVs themselves. But if I had to do it over again, I'd use a place on Pier Ave. just for convenience (unless perhaps I drive by BJ's and it's empty). read more

It's about $80 for a 2hr session. This includes the helmet and ATV. You can rent goggles with a $10 deposit. You pick a helmet that fits the size of your head (I'm an XS--make sure the helmet is snug tight!) Thank god we brought sunglasses and (weightlifting) gloves beforehand!! If you don't, sand will get in your eyes and your hands will be full of blisters. Even though I wore sunglasses, sand still managed to get in my eye and it was difficult navigating, so I would recommend sunglasses/goggles that fully wrap around your face. Sand went in my mouth too so I might consider wearing a mask next time. It's also ridiculously cold and windy, so wearing as much layers as possible is highly recommended! Once you get your helmet, you walk down to the beach and a white van picks you up to drive you to the other end where you can get your ATV. Then you're off on your own (they give you a map too because the place is pretty big). They check each ATV before they give it to you to make sure there are no damages (and also so you won't be charged with a damaged vehicle if it wasn't your fault). They go over how to start/use the ATV's to your group, but they went through it pretty fast. Some of us were still confused. I had a hard time turning on my vehicle because they didn't tell me how to start it up properly. The sand dunes can be pretty steep. Most of the people in our group fell and got injured somehow. We rented ATV's from their beach trailer location. We had a group of 10 that needed to rent ATV's and the guy in the trailer helping us was nice but also seemed a little irritated because of our large group, mainly because of miscommunication with the reservations that we had made. He had mentioned that this was his "biggest contract." They were thorough in explaining the quads and paperwork though. If you check in on yelp, you get $5 off your rental which is the gas surcharge. We paid $77 per quad for a 2 hour rental. They provided helmets but not goggles. My quad died on me once while we were out there but luckily bf was there to get it going again. The fun begins when you're out on the dunes! Always have a buddy in the cases you get stuck in the sand, which happens a lot, especially to noobs like ourselves who aren't used to the appropriate speed you need when getting up the hills! I was very scared to go down some of the steep these hills (10+ feet) scared that my ATV would flip over but it never did. These ATVs get around very well in the sand even though the sand can make for a very bumpy ride so ladies, remember to wear your sports bras! It can get hot out on the dunes especially when you're physically moving a lot, so leave the sweater if you can. read more

It's our first time with ATV and we made reservations online which you should do it online because if you don't you can't be guarantee to get the bike. I suggest to do so for reservations otherwise you r out of luck. Anyways, we had awesome person to help us ( I think she is the owner) really helpful and went through detail regard if ATV. I forgot my phone in one of the shuttles so I was suuupppper grateful when they drove back to the store to give it to me. Riding for 2 hours is definitely more than enough. The price was pretty decent too. You can park at the beach and they have a shuttle to take you from the beach entrance to the where the ATVs were. I highly recommend using this place, loved my time :) Also check in with yelp for free gas! read more

Had a blast riding the atv on the sand dunes of pismo beach. The 2 hours were not nearly enough for an active person like me but for my buddies who are not as active it was more than enough from what they said. If you never ridden a motorcycle or don't have much experience with a bike I would be a bit careful and take your time to learn. The first 30-45 minutes was a learning curve and the rest we enjoyed going far back and riding the walls up high. A lot of people were having a hard time getting unstuck. A few recommendations would be to keep your speed and take the flattest route up or down the dunes. Have fun! read more

Awesome ATV rental company with decent rates. We reserved two Honda 250's the morning of our trip to pismo and did not have any problems. The rate is 75$ for two hours per Honda 250, with an additional 100$ deposit that will be returned upon check-out. Fun-wise, I would give it a 10/10. It was exhilarating going up the sand dunes. Definitely fees must faster in person than it looks on video. Be careful when going down big sand dunes, otherwise you'll eat shiiiiiii. The workers were all really nice, but the one caveat was the instructor that helped us set up the atv. He went through the instructions really quickly and we were rushed to get started, so we had no idea how/when to change gears. In the beginning, you will get stuck in the sand dunes really easily. The first half hour will be a struggle and you will ask why the hell you decided to go atv-ing. The atv's are pretty heavy and once they're lodged into the sand you'll need to lift them and reposition them. Feels like deadlifting 2 plates at the gym. Make sure to lift with your legs and not your back, or you'll have a real bad time the next day. Once you're acclimated to how these vehicles work, it's a blast. There is so much land to cover and so many dunes to climb. The 2 hours will pass in a jiffy. Make sure to set an alarm 15 mins before the atv's are due, otherwise they'll charge if your return is late. TL;DR Atv's are fun but hard as hell to control at first. Most definitely worth the experience if you're in the area. read more

They are pretty good here, and I'd highly recommend this place!! They were pretty nice since we changed the reservations like 3 times! We finally went on Sunday morning. It's probably the best time to ATV since people are still sleeping their hangovers away or leaving for home. Anyways, it's $70/2 hours here to rent. The people are pretty nice. The guy giving us the 10 minute lessons before we ride was pretty funny! They said 7 people died....scared crap out of me! But luckily my friend who led us, took us on a pretty conservative ride. We visited Pismo Beach over the weekend and ATV was highly recommended. We yelp a few places but BJ's ATV got the highest rating so we went ahead with them. We got there just when they were opened and the ladies at the front desk was super nice. We didn't have reservation but they accommodated us even though we had 10 adults and 3 kids. The price was reasonable and they even gave us some discount for a large group. KUDDO to that!!! If you have a GOPRO, they can provide you the helmet with the GOPRO mount for free & that includes goggle too. When we arrived on the beach where the ATV was located at and the guys were very helpful. They gave us instructions on how to ride the ATV and was really good with the kids. If it's your first time, go with the full automatic ATV but if you are more adventurous and love the power then go with the semi-auto ones. After the helpful instructions with the map on our hands, we were off to our adventure. Two hours was a good length of time to ride if it's your first time. The kids ATV got stuck a few times which delayed our returning time but they were cool with it. We just called the front office to let them know the situation & they told us to take our time.
