Not the greatest shop in town. Customer service needs significant improvement .. The lady in the front does a horrible job explaining services and processes. She doesn't seem to enjoy her job and it shows. They pull up an "invoice" with "diagnostics" yet nothing specified. I needed my air conditioning fixed during some of the hottest days of the year. I was able to leave my car safely outside drop the key in the slot on the door and have it fixed by 4 o'clock the next day! amazing service amazing help in the office. We had a customer come in today on a Hyundai Sonata and wanted to get a personal inspection with a mechanic they use. I have to say that from the very moment we pulled in Sue was there to help. They went over and assessed whole vehicle and gave it a clean bill of health. But, it's not the clean bill of health that impressed me, it was the honesty and thoroughness in which they looked out for one of their own customers and wasn't looking to upsell. As well, it also shows the integrity we have as a company in the PreOwned vehicles we provide. I have seen other clients use various service centers in the local area (Simi, Conejo and San Fernando Valley) and get told they need to do a various service work like flushes and tune up, or something was leaking on a vehicle that was still under factory warranty. Great place to get your car repaired. I had some unknown fluid on my garage floor and they were a me to fit me right in. Within 30 minutes they diagnosed the issue, gave me a quote and helped with a rental car since it would take a day to get parts and fix the car. They were extremely profession and very honorable. Had the car ready when promised. Only downside is they are a little more expensive ($1,000+ in labor for ~ 4 hours work) but it was worth knowing it is done right. read more

Super happy with my service today. I had taken my car into the dealership for its routine oil change. While I was there I was given a list of things needing to be replaced and was also informed of an engine leak. I decided to get a second opinion from BJ's Automotive before taking the plunge and coughing up the money for the repairs. Brad had me come straight over and looked at the car and informed me that the car looked good and really didn't have any leaks that looked dire to the health of the car. I appreciate when an owner takes the time to respond to a negative review in an attempt to make the situation look better than it has been presented by the reviewer. But Brad is making assumptions with his response that simply are not true. Brad assumes that I spliced together a piece of hose to repair the vehicle. In fact, I purchased the full hose online according to it's specific part number. Uninstalling and reinstalling the hose was a very easy job to do. Plus I waited and monitored the vehicle for a month to make sure there were no more issues. Brad told me that I would also need to have the other larger hose replaced because they found a leak in that hose as well. Replacing that hose myself would be a problem for me to do on my own since it does wrap around the engine and I wouldn't feel comfortable doing it on my own. I just don't have the tools. As for the "confusion" about the conversation regarding the possible replacement of the heater core, I was not confused by what you said to me. I would think that by me following up with additional questions to your assessment would have keyed you in on the fact that I was understanding what you were saying. You said that in all your years, you've only seen one vehicle come through with this problem that didn't need to also have the heater core replaced. (Red flag) You then said that you wouldn't know until you started the replacement of the hoses at a cost of nearly $670. To which I replied that it wasn't worth throwing away $670 just to find out that I had to spend more than what the car was worth to fix it. Maybe you were wrong with your diagnostic. I can accept when someone is wrong about something. You were certainly wrong with your assumption of how I fixed the problem on my own. Maybe you weren't being intentionally predatory with your business practices. You seemed like a rather nice guy. But I don't make the assumption that just because someone acts friendly to me that they actually are... especially when money is involved. read more

Just got a smog check done. Called in super friendly when answering the phone and even friendlier in person. Will be having any and all work on my truck done here and I hope you do the same. I'm changing my review because I brought my truck back because I had a spark plug come out of the head while driving. After two days being there they quoted me $1,100. That being almost double their first estimate I wanted another opinion. So I took it to another shop and they borescoped it and informed me the head wasn't stripped it only backed out. $120 repair finished the same day. They either never looked inside it or tried to make $1,000 off me. Will never return. read more

I delayed writing this review for more than 6 months, but it still bothers me so I decided to write one. I took my car in for breaks. The owner was super nice and accommodating - at first. He explained that checking the breaks was $34.95 and that if there is a repair that that cost is then applied to the repair. I left the car with them and later I went to collect it. When I went to pick it up, I asked if they did a AAA discount. The discount was 10% up to $50 which, for my repair, would have meant $40 off. He immediately got defensive with me and said that the break inspection fee being applied to the car service was the discount. Then I explained that if that was the case, why have a AAA discount in the first place? His wife then popped out of the back office and told him that she would "deal with this." I was thinking...this is only $40 and what is the big deal. They were then saying they did all these free things such as checking the tire pressure and refilling it, etc. That's all nice, but don't offer a discount with AAA if you don't intend to honor it. It's not even the money as much as it was the principle of it. Anyhow, long story short they not only lost our business, but they lost the business of our friends and family too. We found an amazing shop just down the street called Schneiders Automotive and are VERY happy with the both the mechanical and customer service we received there. What a shame, offering quality customer service for the sake of $40 would have guaranteed we would have come back and they would have made a lot of money from us as we have older cars. I won't support a business that would die on that hill. It made me feel like I was being taken advantage of and that it would probably again! read more

As a young man, my husband went to Lincoln Technical School in Dallas. After graduating from there he got a job specializing in automatic transmissions at a Cadillac-Buick dealership in Denton TX. While he enjoyed working on cars, airplanes (specifically jets) caught his attention. He got his A&P license and has been involved with corporate jet maintenance for 47 years. Great service, I called for an appointment and was told to come in the following morning, I arrived with my 2017 Chrysler Pacifica, the air cond. was not blowing cold air, the gave me an estimate and Sue explained the charges including the diagnosis charge, they called me four and a half hours later to tell me they had to charge the system and the price was a little higher because they needed to add more A/C refrigerant. Our first time using this shop and we were very pleased with the service. The service was completed at the agreed time with no surprises in the cost. Due to some parts availability we had to schedule two separate visits but this was discussed and scheduled upfront. Sue was very open about the costs, parts availability, and made a couple recommendations for upgrades to some OEM bushings that have longer service life. She worked out a schedule that met our needs and was very good in communicating with us during the service process.
