While visiting Logan, we stopped at Barrel & Stave for dinner. We were greeted right away and…read moreseated. The restaurant is long with a large bar and tables as well as some areas with couches and chairs, which gave a chill and relaxing vibe. We started off with drinks and appetizers! We ordered the spicy cheese curds (not spicy) and garlic parmesan fries. Both were yummy and the best part of the meal for me. The fries came with ranch and their house-made "Utah fry sauce"! And if you are from Utah, you will get the fry sauce thing. It's a staple and a must with eating fries in my opinion! Then we ordered dinner. My hubby and I shared the steak and mushrooms, and my bestie and her hubby ordered the buffalo chicken sliders and the spaghetti. The mushrooms with our dinner were huge and so good! Everything tasted really good and fresh, and we were all very pleased! Definitely check them out if you're in the area!

It's so good to see an establishment like Barrel and Stave open up in Logan. The Valley needs more…read moreoptions like this. As a SL Valley resident, these prices for craft cocktails blew me away. I tried the maple Old Fashioned (with regular bitters due to a walnut allergy, which they happily accommodated), the Rye Smash, as well as a shot, and a beer. I got out for under $40, which is a great price. We sat at the bar and talked for hours. The bartender wasn't pushy or bothered by our long stay. They did a good job with the ambiance of the place. This is pretty standard for Salt Lake, but unseen up north in Logan. Well done. I will be sure to come back to this spot whenever work brings me up to Cache.

The food is good, but the view is what keeps me coming back. I'd give the view a 5, the food a 4,…read moreand the service a 2. This was my second visit, and unfortunately it was almost identical to the first. The welcome was not very friendly, and our waitress walked by the table several times before finally speaking to us. After that, she never really came back to check on us, ask whether we needed anything, or see how the food was. The next thing we knew, she was dropping off the bill. We ordered two appetizers, but only one was brought out. I also clearly mentioned that I have a food allergy, and she said she would let the kitchen know. Even so, the appetizer arrived with the ingredient I'm allergic to, and nothing was said about it. On top of that, the salad came with the wrong dressing. That said, the seared ahi tasted fresh, and the greens with salmon really hit the spot. The food itself was enjoyable, which makes the service issues even more disappointing. It is hard to overlook a missed appetizer, the wrong dressing, and especially the mishandling of a food allergy. This place has a lot of potential, but the service definitely needs work.

There is a massage place on the back end(not open that I could see) only noticed when I passed it going to the restroom. She had the airplane chicken and I had the Surf & Turf. Both were well prepared and delicious. I had a Summer Shandy & my wife had a Trash Panda(their version of a LI ice tea. Service was good. While expensive(over $100 for two w/ tip), it was the first "nice" dinner we've had during our vacation. Worth a stop.

Take my advice and make a reservation, especially if you're visiting on a weekend. This place is hoppin'. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the kindest woman and seated quickly. Our waitress was warm, attentive, and genuinely lovely. Now, come in knowing this: the food is to die for, but there will be a wait, and it's 100% worth it. Your server won't let your drink run empty, the atmosphere is cozy and comfortable, and patience is rewarded here. We ordered the pot roast and the salmon. The pot roast was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and the salmon was cooked to absolute perfection. I'm really hoping we can get in for brunch today, but I didn't make a reservation... rookie mistake on my part. Don't pass this place up. I've been coming to Lava for nearly 20 years, and Rogue Restaurant is officially my new favorite.
