Staff was very friendly and warm but the pizookie was quite burnt. I've had my fair share of pizookies, and this one looked and tasted burnt. The edges were hard and crunchy, the inner most part of the cookie was a little gooey, but each bite carried an either toasty or burnt flavor. To be honest, I came here for my nieces 16th birthday dinner not by my choice. I had low expectations. BJ is one of only two places I've ever had to return food in all of my years of going out to eat The negatives are we waited forever for a table. We had a 630 reservation. We sat at about 8 o'clock. You could tell they were short-staffed in the front of house. We had a party of about 25 to 30 and maybe 19 of us left over, once we were allowed to the table, a portion of our party had to leave. Working in a restaurant I could see they were understaffed in the front, because no tables were being seated from the wait. You could kind of see the wait growing, but There was no rotation of tables going in, as other parties left....small parties or large parties. Once we were allowed to the table, you could see the restaurant was about 60% full. As a restaurant manager, myself,I understand. No judgment at all, other than the fact that I was starving. We had one server. Needed 2. Especially with a table of 14 to 16-teenage boys and girls. Again no judgment I have to make those decisions at work sometimes also. Our server was Cheyenne. She did the absolute best she could. She remain professional and calm and she did pretty good under the circumstances. Had we had another server, the flow of service would've been faster. I wanted to order a few appetizers for the kids tables and.probably would've ordered more drinks from the bar, than I did, but she just couldn't get around everybody fast enough. Keep in mind one of our tables had at least 14 teenage boys slurping down their beverages back to back to back. The food was delicious. It was hot. It was fresh. It beat my expectations from my previous experiences at BJ's. The s'mores pizookie is sooooo good. I also love how you can get any pizookie in a smaller size, because sometimes the big one is too much to commit to after a meal! We had an absolutely wonderful server, even though we were only there for dessert. He was really sweet, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Got there when it first opened and only had to wait about fifteen minutes (bc of the pizzas). Just a couple of people were in there since it had just opened. Had a late night girls night with a friend and very much enjoyed ourselves! We ordered the margarita flight and although they don't come with the salt/tajin rim salt, AJ was accommodating and gave us the fixings make the drinks truly complete. We ordered the cherry glazed salmon dinner and Brussels sprouts appetizers. They were both delicious, cherry glaze was a bit overpowering but not too bad. We walked in at 9:15 pm with my two grandsons, ages 4 and a 1 and a half and their parents for a total of 5 people and were told they were closed. We should have know this restaurant has problems when, on a Friday night at 6:15 pm and when we left at 7:30 pm, the place was virtually empty. They were out of all the popular beers we are used to ordering in the Woodlands Texas BJs. The calamari was awful, all batter and very little squid. My daughters ahi tuna salad was fishy. My pizza didn't come close to what we are used to. Our dirty appetizer plates were never removed from the table next to ours. I ate here a few weeks ago and it was absolutely delicious! I started off by ordering the grilled chicken Caesar salad , which was really moist and flavorful! It was unlike any Caesar salad I've ever had! The texture of the chicken was well done and crispy! For dessert I had the Godiva Chocolate pizookie. It was extremely chocolatey and rich in taste. It was a big enough serving to share with 2 people. They give you the choice to eat it with either chocolate or vanilla ice cream and I chose chocolate, which paired wonderfully with the cookie. Went here for a family outing and the menu had something for everyone. I really enjoyed my cauliflower pita tacos and quinoa salad. The quinoa salad resembled tabouli. The broccoli was bland but was saved by dipping into the quinoa/grains salad. I sampled fries from the table and they were perfect!! Perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside and soft inside. I also sampled the garlic bread and it was scrumptious as well. Lastly, I tried to sample but ended up killing the strawberry shortcake pizookie. It was absolutely amazing. I don't think it's a lot to ask for what I ordered and when it's wrong not be told whatever as the incompetent staff storms away.
