The portion of this meal was great for the price. I ordered curbside, and received my order right at the estimated time and shortly after I arrived. I loved the bread and butter and the fact that it comes with to go meals. Also really enjoyed the flavor of the Parmesan crust on my steak. I ordered my steak medium, and received one much closer to medium rare, perhaps even rare. That definitely took away from my experience. My family visited on a Sunday around 3pm, the parking lot was full but we only had a 10 minute wait for a party of 3. The restaurant is decent inside. We started with the complimentary bread and butter. This was pretty good. I had the peach tea drink which I did not care for at all. Something is off about this drink. The sugar is overwhelming and the tea is strong. I end up getting a lemonade which taste diet and finally just a water. My daughter ordered the 8 count grilled shrimp meal, I had the 6oz filet with the grilled corn on the cob, and my husband had the bbq ribs. All of the dishes were decent. Bluebonnet longhorn steak house once again failed on their Parmesan crusted chicken. I love the longhorn meal and in denham it is always perfect. Tonight both chicken breasts and the baked potatoes were burned and dry! How do you make a potato so bad that the skin can't be eaten. We've eaten in and had take out and it seems they just don't have the staff to put together a full meal. It's too bad because we live close to bluebonnet but have to drive to denham to get my favorite meal. Family member was in the hospital so we decided it was too close not to try it again. The wait was so long, so I was starved by the time it was time to sit. It was about 9 when we sat. The service was ok, but there were very nice. Our food did take a while to come out. Once it came out, it was ok. The lettuce for the salad didn't taste phenomenal to me and the steak was like wet on the plate. Average. My takeout experience on 12/8/25 was easily the WORST I've had in a restaurant. Here's what went wrong: 1. At 4:58 p.m., I order online two 8-ounce Renegade steak dinners. Says it will be ready at 5:20 . I park at 5:15 in takeout spot No. 2, checking in on line. 2. At 5:40 p.m., I call inside. I am told the cooks are running behind. My order "will be out shortly." 3. At 6 p.m, an hour after I ordered, I walk inside to the takeout area. There is another customer in line who ordered shortly after I did. She has the same problem. She gets her food five minutes later. 6:15 p.m. I am handed what is supposedly my order. Since it was an hour late, I assume it is correct. 6:30 p.m. After driving six miles to my house, my wife discovers there is just one steak dinner in the bag. 6:45 p.m. After driving six miles back to the restaurant and tell the takeout person what happened, she disappears. Five minutres later, she wordlessly hands me two strak dinners. 7 p.m. After driving six miles home, I discover I was given two porterhouse dinners. Both steaks looked like they were cooked with a blowtorch. Awful. Even worse, the lone Renegade steak that was originally in my bag, which was supposed to cooked medium, was cooked way past well done. Had to toss that also. 7:20 p.m. Two hours after I was supposed to receive my order, I ate fritos and dip thinking how spent almost $50 for crappy takeout food and equally as bad incompetent lazy service. Anyway, we order off the lunch menu and the chicken sandwich with 1 side was approximately $9, the hamburger with side was $10 and the sirloin with side was $11-all very affordable in todays climate. Located close to the mall and easy access off of interstate 10. Ample parking. Staff is always outstanding. You are greeted when you walk in and seated. At times there can be a wait. I ordered the filet. It was cooked perfectly and very well seasoned. My husband had the ribeye which was the same. Cooked perfectly to order and seasoned well. Myself and my family of 4 visited this restaurant last night (12/29/25) for dinner. When we got there we were told they were on a 15 minute wait, which was not a big deal. Once we were seated at our table about 5 minutes went by and I noticed no one had come to our table. As I watched server after server and two managers pass us by without saying anything I then stopped the hostess that sat us. Before I could get my question out she informed me that the server who was supposed to take our table got busy and another server would come to wait on us. Which was cool, no problem! I then watched that same hostess ask a few servers to take the table and after some pushback we finally got our drink orders taken 20 MINUTES LATER! I used to work in the service industry so I know how it goes. I was not expecting a fine dining experience, but surely someone who walked by that table could have acknowledged us, ask to get our drinks, or even bought us bread. Our server, though she was nice could have been better. She showed that she didn't really want to take the table and didn't even say "I apologize for the wait" before introducing herself. I didn't want anything comped, but just a "hey sorry about the wait, thank you for coming in" but instead i got subpar service and cold food! It's Homecoming in Baton Rouge, for both Southern and LSU. After a long day of tailgating and homecoming fun I ended up here! I left the game early so there wasn't a wait because everybody else is still there. As usual I sit at the bar so I can be friends with the bartender since I'm normally alone...and a friend he was because he happened to be a great bartender. Not sure what I was drinking but it was good. Lol He was good with suggestions as well. I had the Salmon that came on a bed of rice and topped it with shrimp and mushrooms. It also came with 2 sides mine were Mac n cheese and a side salad. I enjoyed everything on my plate. The salad was fresh with ranch that was obviously house made and delicious. The salmon came perfectly cooked with a side of this butter that was full of flavor. I couldn't finish so I had my leftovers the next day and it all reheated really well...that's always a plus for me. I hate that I forgot to take piks, it won't happen again. Sooo we hit LongHorn on Bluebonnet, kinda late. It was boisterous kids having fun and such. We were seated right away and got our drinks fast! Julie got a steak and I got the chopped steak. The dinner salads are big and dressings were tasty!! The bread was great!! Julie's loaded baked potato was spot on, I got mashed potatoes, about a ice cream scoops worth. There was no gravy on my chopped steak but it was delish!! The place is clean they keep it up! My real complaints were the waitress dropped the plates on the table from a couple inches up, really loud, and Julie had to track her down to get a refill on her iced tea. My food was ready pretty much immediately (from the time I requested in my order) and someone brought it to my car (curbside) upon my arrival. All I wanted were a couple bacon cheeseburgers and I didn't want to pay their dinner prices, so I ordered-in for lunch. It's very difficult for me to eat an entire serving of anything these days, so I split a burger with my daughter and saved the other one for my husband. It was pretty good. Nothing spectacular, but it was decent and I'd buy it again. The burger came with a side a fries, but you can choose other sides they have, too. For almost the entire 2020 year, I got a weird aversion to steak, but I'm hoping it's changed for this year and I can start ordering it again. This has turned Into a favorite of ours! The service staff is above and beyond whenever we come here. They are so accommodating for dietary needs and they are great for big groups or intimate dates alike. Some times the wait is long and when it is sometimes the front staff can be slightly rude but otherwise when empty it's amazing. We come here fore the Parmesan chicken (my bf) and steak (for me) and the chocolate stampede which honestly is the best chocolate cake I have ever had and it's huge!!!! I'm a fan and if u can't finish it which honestly two people can't take it it's super moist and you don't want to waste the deliciousness! I drive across town for the cake!
