As a dog lover, I really wanted to love this place. It has a great vibe for enjoying live music (if you're there are the right time) and games outside. They are set up really nicely for bringing dogs, so bonus points for that! I also love that the front entrances has pictures of dogs up for adoption at a local shelter - great work! Beyond that, though, LeChien is "meh". I ordered a sour, which was barely a sour to me. Flavor was great, but not as "pucker-y" as I expect for a sour ale. What was must frustrating about my experience was the bartender. I don't know if he was new or just having a bad day, but it took a very long time to place an order for two beers and two food items; we did have PubPasses, and someone else had to show him multiple times how to ring it up in their POS system. He ended up selling my hubby something that the food truck was out of, so hubby had to go back and wait in a long line to remedy the situation. It was kind of a cluster with little apologies. Since it was a bit of a drive to get there, I'm not sure we'll be back.

Had a really chill night here. Great hangout for families, friends, and pups. They seem to put on a good show and lots of special events!

Nice outdoor space

Great outdoor space. Love that they welcome pets. They only offer their craft beer. It's expensive. They have a built in food truck type available. Took us twenty minutes for a cold and hard pretzel. They "forgot". I should've asked for another, but we were $40 in for two beers, a hard pretzel, congealed cheese plus early tip. Unfortunate. Nice people and good music though.

Great outdoor seating and food truck

I feel honored to be the first person to give this brewery a Yelp review. I'm also thankful to live 7 minutes from this awesome place! If you like craft beer and microbreweries then this is the place for you! If you like amazing food, live music, and good people then this is still the place for you! They are dog and kid friendly as well! Huge bonus points for that. So, For starters, I love the atmosphere and the construction of this building. They did a really great job giving this brewery a unique vibe by combining modern architecture with rustic features (can you tell I'm a realtor?) There is ample Space inside for seating, and a LOT of outdoor space too. Plenty of room to entertain large groups, perfect for business functions, birthdays, and any special occasions. As we walked in, I immediately noticed the large steel containers used for brewing their small batches of beer. I need to remember to come back and try to ask for a tour during slow business hours. There is a bar to the right as you walk in with their craft beer selection as well as wine and food. We sampled a few before choosing and they were all great. I really liked the pumpkin stout and the white coffee beer. The chili was amazing, the boudin balls were the best we've ever had (made from scratch,) and I can't wait to try the hamburger hand pie next time which is supposed to be really good as well. There is a permanent food truck there called "Pie Eyed food truck" and they're stellar! We chose to sit outside and found one of the many picnic benches near a heater. Next time we will definitely go to the fire pit, although those are at the very back and I liked to be close to the live music. There was a man named Taylor Nauta playing live music (guitar, country, bluegrass, etc) and he was very very good! Glad we caught him there tonight. We really enjoyed being there tonight, and we will be back again soon! Thanks so much for opening here in Denham Springs! Suggestions: Having growlers to refill would be great. And a basic charcuterie board would also be awesome and likely very popular. I'm sure there are future plans to expand the menu so no worries there. Some beer flight options would be cool too, to get to try a few beers. I look forward to seeing y'all grow!

Bbq tots and Red Ale

Tots and inventive local beers. Bbq beef tots and tasty beers?! Friendly, family environment during the day with plenty of great dogs. What are you doing today that you and your dog could enjoy some tots and a beer? Go. We need more support for places like this in Denham Springs. My only gripe is the beers would be much nicer if the glasses were frosted then it would get five stars from me.

The only brewery in Denham Springs doesn't mean they treat it like they've got no competition.

I have been here several times and it is one of my favorite restaurants in Baton Rouge for great flavorful food. The food was amazing and great. For an appetizer, I had a dozen of their chargrilled oysters. You can see the smoke and smell them cooking them on the way in. They have this amazing butter sauce packed with tons of flavor and it is served with their French bread to soak up that butter! Some other appetizers we got were their fried eggplant with marinara sauce and their buffalo wings which are so good. For my main entree, I got their blackened shrimp pasta which was seasoned well and came with garlic bread. My twin got their hamburger steak and it was delicious. Some drinks I got for the night were their old fashioned and their Long Island iced tea. The ambiance is nice and perfect for a family outing or to celebrate graduation in my case. This will always be a restaurant I will coming back to. The service was great and Chance was amazing the entire time accommodating our large party! Thanks so much.

First things, it had at least two. an accessible parking areas for my daughters power chair access. Awesome. And the waitstaff were so pleasant to deal with. First fish, shrimp tacos. I have to admit I was skeptical but CC nailed it. Three generous soft shelled tortillas with 4+ shrimp, multi colored bells, salad, etc. were delicious. I was even more skeptical of the sweetened/spicy syrup that came with them but whoa, perfect combo on the tacos. The side was yellow rice with black beans and pico. Decent. Second dish, Epplant Supreme. Breaded, baked eggplant with well spice shrimp over a bed of thin pasta. Piece of buttered bread and a small side salad. My daughter loved it. I tried one of the shrimp and it was really good. Overall 4/5, edging towards a 5. Well pleased with the dinner and the price.

The crawfish were flavorful, seasoned well, and priced right, which is honestly the perfect combination when you're sitting down ready to eat. They had that messy, not really spicy, addictive quality that keeps you reaching for "just one more" until the tray is empty. I also tried the buffalo wings. They weren't that great, if I'm being honest, but I was hungry so they got the job done. The crawfish are clearly the star of the show here anyway. The atmosphere felt relaxed and unpretentious, exactly the kind of place you want for seafood with friends, cold drinks, and a table full of shells piling up by the minute. If you're wondering whether I'll be back, I already have.

The restaurant was full due to the holiday, it was clean and it was comfortable with all parties there.

We were visiting Baton Rouge and looking for a new place to try. I looked on TikTok, yelp, and…read moregoogle and this place had good reviews so we decided to go. When we pulled up, we realized the parking lot was full( it's a shared parking lot), but we were able to find a spot. There was only one other family dining in when we arrived, so there were a lot of empty tables and our waitress sat us right by the bathroom and the storage area which I didn't appreciate. When going to a restaurant no one wants to look at your storage area. I think they need to put a curtain up or something to cover all the supplies because it isn't aesthetically pleasing. On to the food and drinks. Our waitress started us off with some water, but my mom and I didn't drink it because my dad said it was nasty( you know certain areas tap water may taste/ smell funny and I don't blame the restaurant for that it's more of a city issue). I ordered a pink lemonade and my parents had Arnold palmers. I ordered the Fried chicken Orleans, my mom had the hamburger steak, and my dad had the mornay. All the meals came with a breadstick. My food and my dad's food was covered in sauce. He had fish but you couldn't even see it because of how much sauce was on it. They could definitely cut back on the sauce and maybe not pour so much on top of the protein. For me, it made the batter on my chicken get soggy quick. Flavor of the food was ok, but it could've used more seasoning and the sauce could've been thinner (it was pretty thick). My dad felt like his fish was overcooked and could've been seasoned more. My mom enjoyed her hamburger steak and didn't have any complaints. All of our veggies were cooked well. Prices were fine. Overall this place is just ok to me, I don't have to go back.

The parking lot has adequate spaces. The restaurant looks like it has enough seating for a good bit of customers. We had a party of approximately 15. We ordered several appetizers and entrees. The appetizers came out fairly quick. I didn't take a picture of it but we ordered the boudin egg-rolls. EXCUSE ME?? WHAT? YES!!! That good! Get them! I would've gotten them as a meal with a salad had I known! So good! I was intrigued by the muffuletta pizza so I ordered it on the cauliflower crust. Pretty good! Several people ordered the ribeye and said it was good. Nice size and it comes with a salad and another side. That is still a good deal in my opinion! Our server was really attentive. Sometimes when a restaurant is busy and the server has to wait other tables the people in the private rooms get forgotten. Not this time! They were great! We will go back if we are back in the area! Cheers!

Christmas party review…read more We had our Christmas party this year at Big Mike's and I could not be more happy. Savanah was our server and she was amazing. Big Mike's has several rooms you can use for your private event. There is no charge based on the number of people you have. We had around 15 this time but next year, look out. There are several fixed menus to choose from. For us, we went all out and got the $27 per person menu. Talk about a steal. It even included a ribeye and baked potato and everyone got a salad and cheesecake. The food all came out at the same time and my steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly. You can add booze if you choose and their prices are very reasonable. Even though I paid the bill I have no idea what drinks cost but I do know one of the chocolate martinis someone drank was like $2-5 and double bourbons were super cheap for what we received. We did go to the bar next door after the party. There was a band and a bunch of interesting and friendly folks. If you need a private meal location, add Big Mike's to your list.
