We are from out of town and don't have a BJs near us. I have been to this location once before. Previously the service was horrible but we all loved the food. Our experience last night was much better service. We had Vicky as our server and she was a delight. So hardworking and caring. You can tell she pours her heart into her job. My major rave about BJ's this trip is the happy hour deals and deals of the week. We were thinking we were going to use a good sit down dinner and we ended up diving into "snacks". We just made it before the end of Happy Hour and we got some spinach artichoke dip and we both ordered personal pizzas. We also took advantage of the $5 wing specials on Wednesday. The spin dip was great but seemed to be missing something. Maybe some spice. The personal pizzas were a bit smaller than we were expecting, but for a $7 special you couldn't go wrong. I had the BJ's classic combo minus olives. It was delicious. The freshest toppings. The wings were a bit disappointing. Maybe because we're from Buffalo... but the dill pickle boneless really didn't have much flavor. The hot honey buffalo didn't seem to show any of those flavors. I almost wonder if they were the wrong flavor. But anyways, cheap deals, great waitress! I'll be back next time I'm passing through. Lunch at BJ's on Super Bowl Sunday was a total delight. Our meals were delicious and served promptly and attractive. The Brewhouse Bites Samper, Boneless Wings, and a California Chicken Club Sandwich were our choices. All three of us were very pleased with our meals and they were plentiful enough so that we each carried leftovers home. There was no wait time to be seated, and our server couldn't have been nicer or more efficient. BJ's takes good care of their diners. The prices are popular, and the sports bar isn't over- played. We had dinnrr at the Wolf Road location last week and it was really good. Today, I ordered takeout and was pretty disappointed My meal was supposed to come with two pieces of salmon, three chicken breasts, broccoli, four baked potatoes and a garden salad for $65. It was also supposed to include the utensils, etc and sour cream. The meal came with a container of sliced chicken, not sure if it was three chicken breast or two. The broccoli was for the most part yellowed and there were no utensils or sour cream. The picture on the website of the chicken breasts does not reflect that they are sliced. This is a lesson learned from fast food takeout. Always check your bag to make sure everything is in there and to your liking. read more

Had a wonderful experience there today for lunch. We started with the calamari which was really crispy. I ordered the Garlic shrimp and parmigiana bread appetizer for my lunch. I really enjoyed it, plenty of shrimp also. The service was quick and accurate, glasses were kept full. This is your typical BrewHouse atmosphere with sports on the TV's. I think this place is great for what it is: A family friendly sports bar and eatery. Both the food and the decor is similar Pizzeria UNO, and it seems like that was done intentionally to fill in the void after Pizzeria Uno closed at Crossgates Mall. Unfortunately, we ate the appetizer so fast that I forgot to take pictures. I did get a few pictures of the Pizookies! We enjoyed the chicken wings With the lemon pepper dry rub. The nachos were good but smaller than I expected. The super thin pizza was good, but I thought it cost too much for what it was. I would like to try the deep dish pizza next time. BJ's has a new $13 entrée + personal pizookie deal, and since I've never had a pizookie before, my partner was super excited for me to try one! When we got there, I was surprised to see a 30 minute wait on a Thursday night. The place is huge and spacious, and I love the artwork they have for their different beers. Tonight wasn't a beer night, but we'll definitely be back for their happy hour because the menu looks amazingggg. The $13 menu had a lot of great options, and it was hard to choose, but I ended up getting the chicken bacon ranch piadina with onion rings, while my partner went with the Great White mini deep dish. Both were delicious and packed with flavor! Surprisingly, we even had some leftovers for the next day. I was also really excited that we got to pick our pizookie flavors. Unlike other franchise restaurants where they just whip out one horrible tasteless dish after another, most of BJs meals are made from-scratch. Another high point for BJs is that their open-kitchen concept allows folks to see the cooking+prep process (depends where you sit). Not far from Albany, this Colonie, NY BJs served us plenty. Their menu hasn't disappointed us in any way as they cater to every palette out there. Hubs and I haven't had issues with this franchise. We went on a Tuesday and it didn't seem that busy but there was still a wait for a table. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks and it was a nice surprise that wine was half off (I read this on the menu after ordering a glass and thought the bartender should have mentioned the specials when we ordered) it took a while for the table and we ended up being seated in the bar area at a high top. Had I known, I would've just ordered while at the bar. Again something they should ask is your preferred seating. Usually the bar area you are seated right away and if you want a booth you get on the list. The appetizer took a long time to come out and then our food was quickly after so I wish I would've skipped the appetizer. The waiter was very nice and the food was ok. Came for lunch on a Friday and got seated right away. It's clean, bright, high ceilings. I ordered the skinny margarita and my husband ordered a beer. We also ordered our entrees at the same time. Then we waited..... after 20 minutes we stopped our server to ask about our drinks and he was like "oh I have to go to the bar and get them." They did taste good so there's that. But then we continued to wait for our food for another 15 minutes or so. We noticed the tables around us with the same server were having similar experiences. Not sure if it was the server or short staffing overall or something but that definitely detracted from our meal. I had the nachos with chili as my meal and my spouse had the brewhouse burger with fries. The style/ambiance was pub style, modern, spacious , a bit noisy (to be expected given how full the restaurant was) We were seated near the doors to the kitchen and an entrance/exit door which was very cold whenever someone came in or left. They do, however have an excellent dessert included with certain entrees - a personal sized cake topped by ice cream. I loved that. read more

Service from the minute we walked in until we left was horrible. We arrived at 4pm and didn't leave until 5:42pm. We got seated right next to a table (high top) and the restaurant was empty. Uncomfortable! We waited about 15mins and ordered our drinks water and an unsweet tea. Food, wedge salad, GF burger and fries, and chips with salsa and artichoke dip. Happy hour price $7.00. About 40 mins later a black burnt burger came out, breaded fries and chips with hard queso, guacamole and spinach dip. (The burger crumbled) I told the waitress this wasn't what we ordered. She said I'll get you some salsa. The salsa was literally tomato water with chili seasoning - gross. Chips were burnt and not edible. The bill came to $55.00 we were going to say something but the waitress didn't return to table so we paid on app and left. We will NEVER go there again. The only person who was worth mentioning was the bar waitress. She knew and wanted to serve us so bad but didn't want to step on our waitress toes. I arrived on a Thursday evening at 5:30pm. Bar was a little busy not too bad. Nobody standing at the bar at least. 15-20 people with 2 servers. Empty seats at the bar. Around 7 minutes to be greeted and offered a menu. Told 4 beers out of stock. I ordered Jeremiah Red and Sliders from the Appetizer menu. 16 minutes later my food arrives yet no beer. Server never checked on me or the people around me. 3 minutes later she comes by to ask if there is anything else needed. At that point I ask for the beer I ordered. She apologizes and pours the beer. Takes my check and runs to the back. Comes back 3-4 minutes later and tells me she "took care of my check". No Manager comes by. So, for me I rarely go to chains and this is why. There is no buy in or accountability from Management. The chain is just that. Local restaurants and Businesses care. They want you back. They talk to you. Express concern. I always finish my Reviews with 1 primary question: Would I come back? No. Not at all. From the moment we arrived, the team was treated with warmth and efficiency, but the real MVP of the night was our server, Jamilah. Jamilah was phenomenal. She managed our large, energetic group with total grace--super attentive, friendly, and somehow kept every single order straight without a single mistake. Its obvious the bathroom hasn't been deep cleaned in probably a year the filth was an inch deep on the door and floor crevices and splatter on the stainless steel walls, door locks in operable. She at least took it off my bill. Why does the kitchen do that? If another patron wants more salt in their soup, they have the option of adding salt from the salt shaker on the table, but if the soup is too salty, there is nothing that I can do about it. read more
