sliced grilled chicken
Carlise L.

We had dinnrr at the Wolf Road location last week and it was really good. Today, I ordered takeout and was pretty disappointed My meal was supposed to come with two pieces of salmon, three chicken breasts, broccoli, four baked potatoes and a garden salad for $65. It was also supposed to include the utensils, etc and sour cream. The meal came with a container of sliced chicken, not sure if it was three chicken breast or two. The broccoli was for the most part yellowed and there were no utensils or sour cream. The picture on the website of the chicken breasts does not reflect that they are sliced. This is a lesson learned from fast food takeout. Always check your bag to make sure everything is in there and to your liking.

Had a wonderful experience there today for lunch. We started with the calamari which was really crispy. I ordered the Garlic shrimp and parmigiana bread appetizer for my lunch. I really enjoyed it, plenty of shrimp also. The service was quick and accurate, glasses were kept full. This is your typical BrewHouse atmosphere with sports on the TV's. Overall a good experience.

I think this place is great for what it is: A family friendly sports bar and eatery. Both the food and the decor is similar Pizzeria UNO, and it seems like that was done intentionally to fill in the void after Pizzeria Uno closed at Crossgates Mall. Unfortunately, we ate the appetizer so fast that I forgot to take pictures. I did get a few pictures of the Pizookies! We enjoyed the chicken wings With the lemon pepper dry rub. The nachos were good but smaller than I expected. The super thin pizza was good, but I thought it cost too much for what it was. I would like to try the deep dish pizza next time. Our server, JADA, was THE BEST! Top Tier! Give her a raise. We were celebrating three birthdays, and she really took care of everyone's peculiar wishes.

BJ's has a new $13 entrée + personal pizookie deal, and since I've never had a pizookie before, my partner was super excited for me to try one! When we got there, I was surprised to see a 30 minute wait on a Thursday night. The place is huge and spacious, and I love the artwork they have for their different beers. Tonight wasn't a beer night, but we'll definitely be back for their happy hour because the menu looks amazingggg. The $13 menu had a lot of great options, and it was hard to choose, but I ended up getting the chicken bacon ranch piadina with onion rings, while my partner went with the Great White mini deep dish. Both were delicious and packed with flavor! Surprisingly, we even had some leftovers for the next day. I was also really excited that we got to pick our pizookie flavors. We went with the strawberry shortcake and the triple chocolate. SO YUM. Even though the personal pizookies are tiny, they were the perfect size to satisfy a sweet tooth. So worth it for $13!!! I also love the BJ's rewards system. It's got me hooked, and I'm definitely going to be visiting more

Unlike other franchise restaurants where they just whip out one horrible tasteless dish after another, most of BJs meals are made from-scratch. Another high point for BJs is that their open-kitchen concept allows folks to see the cooking+prep process (depends where you sit). Not far from Albany, this Colonie, NY BJs served us plenty. Their menu hasn't disappointed us in any way as they cater to every palette out there. Hubs and I haven't had issues with this franchise. We feel they prioritize consistent quality the few times hubs and I have visited. The food, ingredients- hell, even their cocktails pack a damn great punch.

Late night comfort food. Quick and friendly service and an upscale feeling atmosphere. A good place to watch the game and get good bar food.

Lori B was amazing! This triple pizookie was amazing! The service was really fantastic! The food surprised me with deliciousness. I recommend the salted caramel! But we ate them all. The wings were so great!

Overall decent experience. Food was good, pizza has a nice flatbread type crunch. The wedge was rather small and underwhelming. Service was weak, but not inattentive just not very personable. Ambiance was kinda boring, dead, dry. Parking was plentiful.

We went on a Tuesday and it didn't seem that busy but there was still a wait for a table. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks and it was a nice surprise that wine was half off (I read this on the menu after ordering a glass and thought the bartender should have mentioned the specials when we ordered) it took a while for the table and we ended up being seated in the bar area at a high top. Had I known, I would've just ordered while at the bar. Again something they should ask is your preferred seating. Usually the bar area you are seated right away and if you want a booth you get on the list. The appetizer took a long time to come out and then our food was quickly after so I wish I would've skipped the appetizer. The waiter was very nice and the food was ok. Overall nothing special and is just like going to any chain (chilis, Texas Roadhouse)

Misleading drink.

Very fun there were trivia games. Server was nice, ambiance was very nice, average for a bar and grill. However I do not drink and I was mislead by the Sangria saying non alcoholic. It's actually 0.5 percent alcohol. Just because it's close to zero doesn't make it ZERO.

Came for lunch on a Friday and got seated right away. It's clean, bright, high ceilings. I ordered the skinny margarita and my husband ordered a beer. We also ordered our entrees at the same time. Then we waited..... after 20 minutes we stopped our server to ask about our drinks and he was like "oh I have to go to the bar and get them." They did taste good so there's that. But then we continued to wait for our food for another 15 minutes or so. We noticed the tables around us with the same server were having similar experiences. Not sure if it was the server or short staffing overall or something but that definitely detracted from our meal. I had the nachos with chili as my meal and my spouse had the brewhouse burger with fries. Our food was tasty but based on the extremely slow service at a time when the restaurant wasn't super busy, don't think I'd return.

Seating area

Food is ok run of the mill Sysco supplied or another food supplier nothing special but one thing that bugs me if the seating area gets this type Of attention, see pic . Then I can only Imagine the kitchen

They came free with my Nashville fried chicken sandwich order. They do great deep fryer food. My sandwich was all sorts of crispy, spicy and tangy fun. The space, however, has changed a lot. I remember when it was the Pump Station several years ago. The late owner, Neil Evan, was a fixture there and his seafood Mac & Cheese was something to rave about. By contrast, Common Roots has a more limited menu and plainer furniture. A lot of pizza varieties, tacos, salads and burgers. Decent bar food. By contrast, Common Roots flagship in Glens Falls appears to have a better menu with more variety. I generally eat healthy. I can't eat bar food regularly. The meal was great for a Friday night out. There's also a very good non-alcoholic beverage and drinks menu. I was happy to see all of varieties of stout. The snowy stout was delicious. So was the kombucha. The bar where I sat was clean, sleek and modern. The bartender, who took my order was helpful with suggestions. The main dining area looked a bit sparse for 8pm on a Friday night but the business is still relatively new. I'd like to see an expanded menu with at least a few more healthy choices and some family-friendly selections. Meanwhile, I'll know where to go if I get a craving for awesome freshly made potato chips.

I ordered a sour beer of raspberry-lime. It was decent but something was missing I still can't determine. My starter were house made chips with their blue cheese dipping sauce. They arrived almost instantaneously and were well done, which I appreciated. The dipping sauce is so thick, it's more like a spread with some intense flavor. My smashburger arrived, which looked great until I realized the burger had been smashed to the point of being paper thin, making the edges crispy. This made for a "bread sandwich" that was dry until I got to the sauce and kimchi in the absolute center, which was quite good. There was no side salad option, so I went with the German potato salad. It was over-seasoned to the point where I had to stop eating. The runner also brought over fries, which I hadn't ordered, but he left them on my table anyway. They were also well done and tasted good. However, I was "potatoed out" at that point. Many other diners had pizzas and they looked great. Clearly, they knew something I didn't and I should have tried one of those instead. I couldn't relay this to the server because he kept disappearing for long periods of time and never happened to see me hold up a hand for help. He was kind but not attentive by any means. After fifteen minutes of waiting, he did reappear and finally got my check. Common Roots could be an amazing place to dine and hangout but they've got some work to do. Five stars for the atmosphere and two stars for food and service.

A variety of seating was available - near windows, near the TV in the back, outside, at the bar, standing at one of the 2 pinball machines, etc.. The current beverage list has 6 beers (3 IPAs) and 2 hard seltzers. Flights are very reasonably priced at 4 6oz. pours for $10, which can include the hard seltzers. My favorite pour was their Bennie Brown Ale, but I was pleasantly surprised by the hard seltzers, particularly the raspberry, for its crisp, fresh, flavor - not quite so much for the cherry lime, because I thought those two flavors canceled each other out. Food is not available, but there is a blackboard near the entrance (and the swag) which lists the entertainment and food truck schedules. The food was good, however I do wish they had more vegetarian options. We shared the Mixed Breed Ultimate Nachos which were really good, the Mixed Breed Beer Cheese they make is delicious and reaches the tortilla chips on the bottom for the most part -- I can't stand it when only the top chips have cheese and everything below that is bare. I got the Signature Mac & Cheese which came out in a big skillet and was very creamy. I only got a few bites in because we went overboard with the Nachos. My mom got a Cheese Quesadilla which technically isn't on the menu, she got through half of hers. I was gifted her leftovers which I look forward to having for dinner -- the quesadilla looked pretty basic (to be expected with a cheese quesadilla) but it did look like they put a good amount of cheese in it. My mom got their pineapple/coconut cocktail (I forget the name) and it was delicious, tasted like a piña colada. I tried their Stuntman Star-Lord seltzer which isn't sweet and has a slight essence of beer to it. Minus one star for the lack of vegetarian options. The salad section is an easy way to have four fun salads that are vegetarian, and then have the add in options for those who want meat. Sandwiches, there could be a Caprese option. Not even a veggie burger option on the menu. With all those wing sauces I would have LOVED to have seitan as an option also but I understand that is a little more niche. Unfortunately, due to a lack of these options, I probably won't be making the half hour drive back anytime soon.
