Ambiance: Brand spankin new 2 days ago, brightly lit, Shuffleboard, Pool table, very very long bar, high top tables, low tables, trendy decor, kind of open air trendy atmosphere and a great big giraffe at the door to greet you... Service: Greeted soon after sitting by Ariane who served us with water, menus and tableware. She gave us time to look over the pub food & choices on the menu. We gave her both our drink order and food order. She was sociable and frequently checked in with us to see if we needed anything else. She was a friendly enjoyable person to have wait on us. Food & Drinks: Sangria - very tasty with plenty of fruit, DH ordered beer he liked it :). We shared our 2 orders of Sausage & Peppers $12 and Hand-Breaded Chicken Tenders with sauce to dip. $18. The food and drinks were very tasty especially the warmed roll with the sausage. The Chicken tenders could have been cooked maybe a minute or two less but I would order them again the flavor was great. Would have given 4 stars only because of the extra time on the chicken tenders. This would be a fun place to gather with a group, as in the future they plan on having entertainment adding the table games & huge TV's this could be a fun local, neighborhood bar to meet up with friends and family.

    Chopped salad with chickwn

Chopped salad with Balsamic vinaigrette was ok added chicken for $6 which the amount was disappointing at best.

Smash burger with fries and side of gravy

Couldn't wait to try Korner Bar and Grill and did so tonight. The bar was packed and tables were full but there were still free tables. My husband ordered the smash burger with fries and side of gravy, and I had one of the weekly pizza specials, a Mediterranean pizza with roasted red peppers, artichokes, pesto, ricotta. YUM! My husband said the burger was really flavorful. The fries were thick cut, which I usually don't like, but these were smaller chunks and cooked perfectly. The gravy tasted homemade not the jarred stuff. The winner of the night was the pizza. It was just as the menu described, crispy around the edges, airy inside. Delicious! The menu is small but I want to try everything on it! The only complaint was the place was cold. Many people were sitting with their coats on. We will dress in layers next time but we're definitely going back! A great addition to Colonie! Service was on point too!

The Mediterranean pizza I had a little bit of sauce, added very flavorful!

Growing up, I was always under the impression that Hooters was the Mos Eisley Cantina of the restaurant world, a wretched hive of scum and villainy. Which caused me a decent bit of shock when I walked inside and saw several families with young children. Are the waitresses dressed in skimpy outfits? Yes. Is that my thing? No. But are Hooters Girls dressed any less than the waitresses at Brick House or one of the many other breastaurants? No. Actually, they're dressed not unlike what I remember people wearing in high school. I was here for one thing and one thing only: the all you can eat wing special for National Buffalo Wing Day. The wings are very expensive here normally, but AYCE for $16 is worthwhile. My first batch of 8 wings was "hot". IMO, it was on the level of a Buffalo medium. Not particularly spicy. Thinking that everything here was tame, my second batch was a very hot grilled flavor. Wrong choice on my part. That was VERY spicy, but still had an interesting tangy flavor. Third batch was something sweet, the General Tso. That sauce seemed very oily and didn't give the wings a thick coat, but I could taste the flavor. As far as the wings underneath the sauce, they were surprisingly good. I tend to be a purist and I despise breaded wings, but these actually tasted good. Large, juicy, and crispy on the outside. The breading didn't get soggy, a common thing that happens to breaded wings. Overall, my experience was a solid 4 and surprised me quite a bit. Dare I say these are the best chain wings out there? I would definitely consider returning if they're running a special, but if wings are normal price, $15 for 10 is waaaaaaaay too expensive.

My issue was with the changes the company has made to the sauces which to me just tasted like tasteless grease on the wings and not the tangy buffalo wings we have had and loved for many years. Wish they had not messed with a good thing. Wings were so bad and greasy, I could not finish them. They still offer their All you can eat special but I could not even finish my first serving of wings. So disappointing but you have a gem in your wait staff.

There was a sign about seating, but no one was available to show me a seat. I made my way over to the bar seating where there are TV screens. Behind the bar seating are some booths. The first thing I experienced was the horrendously loud noise from all the gaming machines. Next, there were very few customers at the bar or using the booths. The customers at the bar were more interested in each other than anything on the screens. The barmaid was at the far end of the bar yukking it up with some guy who probably was her boyfriend and I was ignored. Finally, I went up to someone who worked there and was told something about a basketball game being on and the PPV will start after the game. Total bullsh*t. Another employee got a remote and found the PPV and put it on two screens. The barmaid eventually came over and seemed disturbed that she had to take my order. She soon disappeared again and didn't ask me anything about how I liked the food or whether I wanted a refill (soft drink) until I was about ready to leave. Now it's close to midnight, and the bar area booths got swamped with little kids who just finished with the games. What normal parents bring their little kids to a bar near midnight when they should be in bed sleeping? I was glad the PPV was over and I couldn't leave fast enough.

It's been forever…read moresince I've been at a mall, but there was plenty of parking despite the rainy weather, and we got into here quickly for a table for dinner. Their dessert case right in front of the entrance was taunting me.... We were seated and greeted by Sang Jun, who was fantastic. It turns out that we are all Korean, we figured that out at the end of the meal but he was amazing as a server. Never needed to ask for anything, made several recommendations, and we had a really great meal and evening. The menu is giant! Come hungry for sure! I started out with a margarita flight, which was not only beautiful, but delicious. We started out with the ahi tuna nachos, which was delicious and beautiful. Scallions, tuna, fried wonton skins as chips, jalapeños and sauce that made it all worth every calorie. I ignored the jalapeños, but still inhaled the tuna and everything else. Crowd pleaser for sure. My nephew got the salmon special, served with sweet potatoes. I ordered the bang bang shrimp and chicken that came with lo mein. The sauce was a Thai curry base and has veggies and was literally inhale-able. I ate the proteins (cooked perfectly) and some of the noodles, then ended up eating the leftover noodles the next morning. Still just as good cold out of the fridge! My brother got the ramen. They were out of the pork (or it was off the menu) so he went with the beef. That looked so good, bowl was filled to brim with noodles, garnishes, and beef. It was perfect since he wasn't feeling well. My nephew decided halfway thru his salmon dish he wanted a side Caesar salad and Sang Jun brought one tha looked like it was made for the Internet. Well plated and giant portion. We were absolutely stuffed so we had no room for desserts, even though they looked so good in the cooler walking in. We had a nice discussion with SJ about our family trip to Korea last summer, telling him about some of the most embarrassing moments and getting a good laugh. I guess this is a chain, but I hope that I see one again. I'll be ready to have the same exact thing, or try something new- I'm sure it will be amazing. Thanks to the team and Sang Jun for a memorable meal here in Albany!

I don't know why I didn't listen to my instincts and run away when I first stepped foot in this place. It had the distinctive smell of toilet soap-cakes. Plus the restaurant was almost deserted. Two women in their 80s were eating a sandwich, drinking a bottle of bud (from a glass, mind you, they were ladies) and playing keno. You get the picture. I could go into more detail, but it's just not worth it. The wings that I ordered crispy, were some of the slimiest I have had in the area. The blue cheese dressing had turned and was curdled. A few of the wings were mangled, with bones sticking out in all directions. I'm a pretty tough customer. It takes a lot to turn my stomach. But I actively tried (and ultimately succeeded) in keeping those wings down. It wasn't easy, but mint gum and herbal tea are very soothing. Today my Sister and I were flying to Baltimore together where we would have a short layover before going back home. Even though it was only 9:00am, we decided on a beer and an ALB Smoked Salmon Bagel ($14.89). My Sister bought my beer (Sam Adams New England IPA) so I am not even sure what it cost but with a bagel sandwich running almost $15, I am assuming it was not cheap. The Bagel sandwich was good but not worth $15 in my opinion. The bagel was fresh but not toasted and included cream cheese, smoked salmon, chopped egg, red onions and capers. If I were to order this sandwich again in the future, I would definitely leave out the red onions. Who needs all that mess on the plane? I am sure that some of the other food here is good but for me the pricing is a mixed bag between average and pricy. Some Items, I could see spending the money on but others like the Grilled Chicken Caesar salad for $16 or one of the higher-end Burgers for $15, I would most likely pass on (especially in an airport). Regardless of pricing, I would come back to the Local @ ALB on my next visit to the Albany Airport because my Sister and I shared a memorable experience here.
