Been coming her for years, and it used to be one of our favorite places. But the last couple of times have been awful. Just last night, we dropped $71 on food that was just plain disgusting. Garlic bread knots that were rubbery, fries that had CLEARLY been rewarmed, and boneless wings that I had to send back because the cherry chipotle sauce tasted like burnt cough syrup. The replacement wings weren't much better since they were not cooked thoroughly. All in all, this place has declined precipitously. Used to be an avid rewards customer. We have been going to BJs for years. The last two times we've gone, I got a baked potatoe, and it was terrible. It tasted like a leftover potatoe. I didn't say anything the first time it happened. The second time, I felt I should say something. The manager came over and assured me the potatoe was fresh. I had him look at it (because it was obviously chunky). He just kept stirring me out was fresh and told me their procedure (cook for an hour and put it in a warning drawer then throw them out). I tried to tell him that it wasn't the first time that I got a stake potatoe there. He asked if I wanted a different one, and I thought I would give him the benefit of the doubt by trying another one. The next one was worse than the first. The skin of the potatoe had dyed onto the potatoe. It was obvious that it was stale and tasted stale. I know that a good potatoe is soft and fluffy. I assured him that I knew what a good potatoe looked and tasted like. I couldn't believe we were arguing over this. He did offer to take "some"off of my bill, but I told him it wasn't necessary, so he didn't. The ribs were also very subpar. They used to be really great. I won't be going back. The menu has a lot of variety. They're a brewhouse, so half the menu is alcohol. Still, there are a few well behaved kids, and they fit in fine. For this visit, I ordered blackened salmon. The waitress was very knowledgeable, and made a good recommendation. The salmon was properly cooked, and had great flavor. I've tried several places, and everywhere else has been overcooked. Here, it's still moist and flaky. My wife is allergic to wheat and dairy, and BJ's has an allergen menu. It's kind of limited and difficult, but the waitress understood well and had recommended modifications to normal items. Timing is average - not rushed, but not slow. Waitstaff never left us hanging, and drinks were refilled before empty. At delivery, the runner asked if it looked right. Half way through, the waitress verified it tasted good. At the end, the manager verified the whole experience was okay. Overall, very pleased, and we were in and out in less than an hour, during lunch, on a Sunday. read more

Our server Joi D was amazing. Very pleasant and sweet. Both me and my husband got the Ahi Tuna salad, and at first we thought there was less tuna on it until we realized it was just cut thicker. (We assume it's portioned or weighed out per plate.) We both agreed we liked it better cut thicker, it seemed to have a better taste that way. Anyway. The place was not overly packed, but it took the server 10 minutes to take drink orders and 5 min to bring them. We confirmed we wanted the appetizer out before the main dish when asked, but lo and behold -- everything came out at the same time 20 minutes later. My sirlion was tiny and was definitely almost well done instead of medium rare. I didn't want to wait another 20 minute for another puny piece of meat, so I ate it with disgust. It came with 5 pieces of asparagus and tasteless mashed potato all for ~$16 I believe. Glad I didn't order the $22 ribeye. The salmon dish looked nothing like the picture. It was barely half the size. The shrimp pasta dish was not good I'm guessing because only the shrimps were eaten, and we didn't take the rest of pasta home (mostly untouched). The price is definitely on the high side for what you get including the poor service. I would recommend sticking with appetizer and maybe burgers for this place. The beer that BJ's actually brewed is really good, but it's all over $5.25 a glass, so that hurts. The food was pretty good, but it was about the same level as Chilis, TGI Fridays, and Applebees. BJ's is usually decent. May have just been the night. There was a 45+ minute wait. The A/C was broken, it was crowded and hot. They ran out of menus so our entire party had to share one menu. I used to love going to BJs, but I haven't been since last year. Yesterday was my first time coming in and probably had the worse experience ever. We were seated immediately which was nice, but took about 15 minutes for a server to even come up to us and take our drinks. We were waiting so long that we ordered everything when she asked us for our drinks just cause we didn't want to wait any longer. If I'm going to have to wait so long for a server then don't even seat me honestly.. The table was dirty and sticky. Ask the waitress if she could wipe it down for us and she is "it's sticky because of the disinfectant we use" then I pointed to the left over food on the table that just showed that it wasn't wiped down. She asked one of the hostess to wipe the table down and he did, but it was one of the most half ass wipe downs I've ever seen. For sure never heard the saying "put some elbow grease into it". The wipe down was so bad that the left Food crumbs was still on the table. I picked it up in front of him to show that he missed a good amount of the table. He just walked away with his half ass wipe. I wonder if he even knows how to wipe himself... lol. The food was really good though. For sure the best part of the visit was the food just hate that the service was terrible. read more

The Long Island ice tea was amazing. So was the home brewed cream soda. I loved the calamari, husband wasn't crazy about it. The reason I'm only giving two stars, it took 15 mins to even order drinks and appetizers, another 15 mins to order two cheeseburgers and then over an hour to actually get our orders. Came home tonight & planned on treating my Mother....had a glass of wine so NO driving for me & really wanted to treat us. Have ordered delivery a few times previously; food was great! Now, they won't be seeing much of our money since there is no longer a delivery service. Truly, I don't understand why decent food plus delivery is impossible here. Awe man, just a little disappointed to be honest. I left a a review a few days ago and decided to try this place again with the gift card that Ben the manager gave me. Got a few things from the menu, one of them was the Philly cheesesteak. Got home and everything looked great except for the Philly. Mind you, the gift card was 25, so I ended up spending an extra 15 dollars then tipped 10 dollars on a to go order. I can guarantee you Subway would have been appalled at this so called cheesesteak, even the manager was like no that looks terrible!!! By all means I appreciate you taking the garbage I paid for back and giving me a pizza which was about 4 dollars more. I was here for lunch today with friends, it was a busy, understandably so, it's a Sunday. I orders the lemon thyme chicken. A lunch size portion of herb-roasted chicken breast seasoned with Big Poppa Smokers' Desert Gold Rub. Served with brown rice, sautéed red onions, fire-roasted red bell peppers, tomatoes and roasted brussels sprouts in lemon thyme sauce. Sounded good & looked good too. I was brought a bowl with brown liquid with two pieces of chicken, not oven roasted, look like it was boiled. No bright colored oven roasted peppers or Brussels sprouts. It was a brownish collard sauce with mushrooms and and over cook brussels sprouts, couldn't find one pop of color in the whole plate, look disgusting. I took a bite just to see it could taste good ? No I politely called the waiter over and told him that there was no way I was going to eat... Go ahead and just bring me a turkey burger, he apologized and said yeah doesn't look right. The turkey burger shows up looks great cut it in half? Something doesn't look right it's raw. It's raw??? i'm so glad I did not take a bite of it. I was shocked that any cook whatever do that, my 14-year-old nephew knows how to cook a turkey patty and he knows that you can't lay it on the grill for one second. In my heart I honestly feel that it was done to me on purpose because I sent the first plate back. I wished I would've taken a picture of the first plate of food, it was disgusting looking. Very rarely do I send my feedback or complain but when I am paying $13 for a lunch that looks nothing like what I ordered I'm not going to just eat the cost and throw in the trash. I'm now feeling so upset that anyone would do that! The manager came over and apologized saw the raw turkey burger & acknowledged that it was raw. She asked if I wanted anything else ? My partner and I had dinner at BJ's in Denton around 6pm on Tuesday. We asked about the happy hour specials and decided on some chips and queso to start. When the waitress returned with the queso we asked about the mini pizzas on the happy hour menu that say they are half off. We asked the waitress if the mini pizza special is referring to the mini pizzas on the kids menu which are 6.50. She says yes and we ordered two of those to go. Our batch of chips came oily, but we asked for some fresh ones and someone brought them right away. I ordered a half rack of ribs with a wedge salad and crispy onion strings as a side. My partner ordered a crispy jalapeño burger medium rare. My wedge salad came first and was delicious. The burger and ribs came at the same time. When they were delivered we asked the server for a side of ranch for the fries and my onion strings. We waited for that and it never came. After a while, our waitress came to refill our drinks and asked if everything came out? We said yes but told her we asked the server for ranch and it never came. She apologized and said she would return with it. While waiting we started eating our entrees. My parter bit into his burger and noticed it is well done instead of medium rare, and very dry. I suggested he let the server know when she came back with the ranch. Meanwhile I kept eating my salad while we wait. Our waitress never returned. We had not eaten all day and he was hungry so he continued to eat his burger. I try my ribs and the meat on the outside edges all around ribs did not have any sauce and were almost as chewy as jerky. The top of the ribs had a thin layer of sauce. I tried one and it was terrible. FINALLY our waitress came back to our table but to give us the bill. By this time we had given up getting new food and wanted to go. She asked if we needed anything else and I asked for a box and a tea to go along with the ranch we had already asked for twice. We looked at the bill and noticed it seemed higher than expected. We were charged 5.25 for each of the mini happy hour pizzas. The mini pizzas were listed at 6.50 on the menu and at half off 3.25. We specifically asked our server about the mini pizzas on the menu/kids menu and happy hour menu. While we are still waiting on our waitress to return with our ranch, box, and tea to go, a manager comes by and asks how we are. We started to tell him about our issues with our dinner. We start with the price of the pizzas and ask why we were charged what we were. He says that the half off happy hour pizza is the "base price of the regular mini pizza." I have no idea what that means but the mini pizza is listed on the kids menu and is 6.50 with fries and a drink or something. Which we specifically asked our waitress about. I didn't expect a free drink or fries but the same tiny pizza at 10.50?! We were discouraged by this response so we gave up complaining about the other stuff and just wanted our take out boxes and card back. We got home and opened the mini pizzas because we were still hungry since all of our food was bad. Sadly, the pizzas were terrible! And these were supposed to be 10.50 on the menu?! They were like the size of a grapefruit with a paper thin layer of sauce, two pepperonis, and a tiny bit of cheese scattered around that left bare spots. We were very unhappy. The only part of the experience that was good was the atmosphere in the restaurant and my salad. Oh, and my half sweet tea! It was nice and dark and fresh. read more

I just went here yesterday, with a group of 9 friends. Terrible service from our waiter, Collin, I believe. Three of my friends were wrongfully charged 3$ each for food they did not order. Told the waiter and he acted upset at us. He did not change any of the checks, and took too long to even pick the checks up. Also took very long on refills on drinks. Very upsetting, especially since the friends had to end up paying 3$ each just because our waiter was rude and stubborn. Will not be coming back to this location. read more

The salad I got was so bad I had to order another meal because I couldn't eat it, but even then I could only eat the noodles because everything else was so foul. The pazookie is a major letdown.
