What an interesting evening. If I rated this BJ's on our service, by Gary, I would give it five stars. If I was rating their GM - again five stars. I don't need to get into every last issue we had but it was a roller coaster. We arrived to our reservations being "lost" and having to show the time and date I made them to prove we had called the right place. Whatever- they were busy - maybe this is a thing people do to get seated. We got our drinks and appetizers nice and quick. We did have a lil mishap with our waiter and a water cup but that's all I'm willing to say because I legit want to invite Gary and his partner to dinner he was so pleasant and kind and funny and all the perfect things a perfect waiter does. The Avocado Egg Rolls, cous cous macaroni and cheese balls and spinach artichoke dip was delish. The couscous was my fav. We had a party of 8 and with all the mayhem I didn't have a chance to take pics. The kicken chicken sandwich was so good! I thought it might too heaven when I saw how thick the cut was but I was wrongggggg. Light, crispy and juicy. My sister got blackened shrimp tacos and had to push the plate away to stop eating it. Of course the pizookies were amazing as always. They messed up three of our plates - one with coleslaw that shouldn't have been. One with pickles that shouldn't have. One with the meat couldn't the wrong temp then a bunch of reason well they couldn't do it the way we requested. One plate with a pebble in it. Two minor attitudes when asked for food to be fixed and two super accommodating ones. Like I said a roller coater. The GM comped some of the dishes but what was better than that was his willingness to listen. Thanks to him and Gary we will be back and hopefully be able to give a better rating read more

Dinner at BJ's was amazing! The server was so kind, attentive, personal, and professional. We haven't had servers like that anywhere these days. They just don't train 'em like they used to. But the management is doing something right. The food was delicious. Kids ate all of theirs. Food was hot and delivered in a timely manner (appetizer, then salads, then entrees, then pizookie!). She overheard us say we were celebrating (wedding anniversary), and she promptly got the manager to cover our pizookie. They went above and beyond. The price was right too! Check out their $13 menu! We will be back as often as we can. Great atmosphere for kids to be kids, but also a nice night out so Mama doesn't have to cook. read more

BJs is the go to anytime for great food, great beer variety lots of tvs and they are open late .. And whether your there to watch a game or hang out with friends or even a date night I think BJs has you covered. I have been here many times and with the exception of the service being a bit slow occasionally overall I have never really been disappointed...my last visit I ordered the kale salad As that is about the only thing I had never tried from here and it was actually great, all of the ingredients were fresh and tasted wonderful the salad dressings may be from a bottle but they definitely taste like they are homemade So I cannot complain.. I love the menu variety From really awesome pizza to great healthy and gluten-free options to southern fried chicken and potatoes, burgers and ribs they have something for everyone here.. I also cannot forget the variety of unsweetened teas that they offer .. the peachberry and hibiscus yumm! I love Tea so I had to throw that in there!! read more

The food was decent, a little pricey but the service was great! Came in for dinner today and we had Calladora as our server and she was on top of everything! We have been going to this BJ's location for several years. When new it was good then it got inconsistent, now it has fallen off the edge. The food is pretty bad anymore. Tonight was their last chance and they blew it! Ordered Tri Tip and ribs, Mahi-mahi tacos and avocado egg rolls. The ribs were burnt, dry and tough. The tri-tip must've come from a 50 year old bull. It was incredibly tough, but our dog ate what I couldn't. The mahi-mahi taco's were marginal. The avocado in the egg rolls were black and tasteless. Avoid this restaurant and go across the street The mashed potatoes and onion strings were good. The green beans were seasoned properly but cold. read more

Anthony was our sever tonight, he was absolutely amazing! He went out of his way to make sure all of our needs were met. He went above and beyond to provide wonderful service to all of his tables. He didn't rush people when ordering and offered suggestions to patrons. Our daughter ordered a kids pizza which is usually deep dish, he asked her if she preferred deep dish or thin crust, she said she liked thin crust, he did the kids pizza as a flat bread and she loved it. I ordered the balsamic chicken which is an off menu item, usually this throws servers off, not Anthony. He quickly found it in the system! The food was wonderful but it was Anthony's level of service that we will most remember about tonight! read more

This was my first time getting to try BJs. The food was pretty good, I recommend the avocado egg rolls as appetizer. As far as the entrees there are variety of plates offered from Italian, to seafood, to pad Thai and also American. It's a good spot when you don't know what you're craving. It seemed like they were a bit short staffed, and the servers appeared to be overwhelmed. Nonetheless, the food was served nice and hot. Just moved to Texas last year and were so excited to notice a BJ's so close to our new home. It was next to impossible to score a table at happy hour back in California. Whenever we go to the location here in Denton, it is wide open. Almost empty. Now we know why. The food is mediocre but we come for the outstanding beers. Normally, no other brewery can compete. For some reason though, every time we have visited this BJ's, the beers are completely flat with no carbonation or foam whatsoever. On three separate occasions we have ordered beers, sent them back and received the same faulty beer. On the last occasion we looked around and found that no one else was drinking beer. Maybe the locals know something we don't. We politely asked to speak to the manager to ask why this keeps happening but he/she never showed up. We have now given this location a lifetime ban. Headquarters needs to investigate this location ASAP. Avoid this location if you're coming for the beer. read more

Went here for dinner tonight with our friends. The service was great but the food was just mediocre. The flour tortillas for the oven roasted mahi tacos were a little too crispy. Both the ahi tuna salad and the kale and Brussel sprouts salad had way too much dressing on it. Our friend who had the Mediterranean chicken pita was happy with his dinner. I love bjs. Overtime it's slowly becoming more a go to for me! I've been trying to eat a little better the last few months and so I've been ordering lots of Brussels sprouts (new obsession) and salmon! Ordered the honey sriracha Brussels and a la carte blackened salmon on DoorDash to make my meal! The Brussels were extremely salty but still good and great flavor. I feel the sauce could be a little more sweet, I didn't really get the honey in it or on the Brussels but will order again for sure. The blackened salmon I order a lot from here and this is the one time it was actually cooked and seasoned perfectly! Perfect meal. The Brussels are around $8-$9 and the salmon was $7 I believe. read more

I am not one to leave bad reviews because it takes a lot to get me to do it. first off I can say the whole experience was awful. the staff was rude. waited forever and a day to get a table for five. then when we get seated the guy took our order but didn't listen to us. everything about our orders was wrong. my steak was raw, one of the party members had HAIR In his burger, another didnt even get her order! then the staff refused to discount the check because of their faults so we left and as we walked out they were talking shit about us! we will never go back. so if you want to go there word of the wise don't. run far away and don't look back. BJ's has a lot to choose from their menu so I decided to give the Tri-tip a try and it was phenomenal. It was cooked to perfection and the BBQ sauce on top compliments all the flavors. I have to say last night at BJs was the most memorable experience I have had in awhile. I would like to say that not only, was the food amazing... When we walked in it was busy and we had about a 20 minute wait. That wasn't a problem though because the greeter was super friendly and gave us drink Menus. While waiting I had the BJ's Harvest Hefeweizen and my fiancé got the sparkling sangria. The Hefeweizen has that great smooth and bold but not too bold delicious taste you get with wheat beers. The sangria was strong but not overpowering. You still could enjoy the flavors of the fruits in it. Once seated our waiter put in for our calamari and the flight of beer I ordered. When the calamari came out it looked golden and crispy. It was delicious with that perfect crispness and chewiness. It wasn't too chewy which I was happy about. For my flight I got berry burst, bourbon barrel, committed IPA, and honey boch. The berry burst didn't even really taste like a beer. My fiancé DESPISES beer and she really liked it. It was mildly sweet and had no bitterness to it at all. The bourbon barrel had a very very bold and strong taste to it. It was a great dark beer but with a hint of bourbon taste to it. The committed IPA had a wonderful strong hoppy taste to it. The honey Boch tasted like a Lager and was smooth and subtle. We had the Spicy pig which is supposed to have smoked applewood bacon, ham, sweet pineapple, jalapeño, and a 5 cheese blend. Our pizza came out and my only complaint was it had no smoked applewood bacon on it. We brought it up to our waiter he said he thought it was the ham. Regardless of the mess up of the pizza was still delicious. For desert we had the hot fudge brownie pizookie and it was phenomenal! It had that crunch on the outside with that soft, gooey chocolatey goodness on the inside. This is the chocolate lovers dream right here! Our waiter Matthew was phenomenal not only did he recommend us stuff when we asked he was on top of everything. Not once were we out of water or waiting for something. He always made sure we were taken care of. The only complaint I have was the pizza not having bacon but the pizza was still great. read more

Really poor service, starting from reception. Sat us in a tiny booth when we asked for a large one. Gave the booth we asked for to the next customer behind us just to prove a point. Totally bad attitude, no idea how to do her job. Our server at the table favorite statement was 'sorry about the wait' and did nothing to recover. Food average, tri-tip awful and fatty. Everything completely late, no drinks until main course came, mega disorganized and frustrating. Forgot our $10 credit and we had to wait for re-bill. We got up and left, and went next door to Rodeo Goat where we received great service and food. This has happened to us before at this BJs but we gave them another chance. Never ever again. Service Managers don't seem to train service staff very efficiently. Service was slow, server took orders from 6 of the 7 people at the table and then left without getting the last one. We had to walk over to him to put the order in. Just don't come in with high expectations and make sure you have your orders set to help streamline the process. read more

I recently got a job at this BJ's location so I could have steady income while being a student at UNT for my undergrad and I have to give them the credit. The company BJ's puts you through rigorous training, which sets you up to being a solid member of the team. From working at other restaurant's to now being apart of this location, I've never felt more confident after being trained like they do. It's refreshing working at a place that is so conscientious at preparing their workers to be successful at their job. Even if you do just one thing there, they prepare you for any job they offer. On another note, the managers there are genuinely great people. Not only do they know literally anything there is about the restaurant, they are solid human beings with great personalities. Let's be real, no one likes working at a place with a boss that has a stick up their a$$, and my managers always go out of their way to ask how I am or crack a joke when it gets tense. I'm sure anyone can appreciate people to care for others. Lastly, from getting to know my fellow members of the work crew, this location doesn't just hire anyone. Every person who I've worked with has come off as intelligent, expressive, socially aware and just plain good people. It's great he friend with the people you work with. I'm a firm believer that liking the people you work with makes a company (of any kind) thrive in reputation and profitable success. I plan on continuing to work here until life takes me else where! Overall, I like BJ's as a chain, but this location doesn't really deliver on the standards I've seen in place at other locations. I've eaten in, as well as had my fair share of takeout. On almost every occasion that I've received takeout, I've seen a customer getting upset with employees due to wrong orders or orders taking longer than expected. I've never personally had anything go wrong, it's just interesting to notice. On my most recent visit for dine in, I was quite disappointed. Our waiter was rather quite and reserved, didn't make any suggestions, didn't tell us about any beers on draft. Just there to do his job, and leave. I was excited to see that they had a new taco dish, that replaced the meat with cauliflower. I was quite excited to try it, and decided to change the side of chips, to the up-charged side of Brussels sprouts. Unfortunately , the tacos were severely lacking any flavor. The cook was nice on them, with interesting textures, but even salsa wasn't helping them. Additionally, the Brussels sprouts were very burnt. The menu did list them as "charred" but these were a lost cost. They were so incredibly bitter that they were inedible. We ended up not eating most of our food, and our waiter never came back to ask if the food was ok. He did come and drop the bill, and said nothing about the considerable amount of food still on our plates. Our visit before this one was also a let down, so I think in the future we will stick to ordering to-go from this location in particular. read more

We waited for over 40 minutes for our food to arrive at our table and when it arrived half the food came out and it took another 10 minutes for the rest of the food to come out. Then the manager proceeded to tell one of our party members that they burnt the flat pizza and it would be another five minutes. I have never had customer service this poorly. read more

Our latest visit to BJ's was beyond horrible. The food, the service, the staff. I can say I will not likely return. We went on a Monday. It was 1/2 price pizza night. We arrived around 6:45pm and the restaurant was not busy at all. We were seated within 5 minutes, ordered an appetizer, drinks and our pizza. The appetizer came out fairly quick. The pizza was a different story. We waited an hour with little communication from the waitress as to what was going on. We ask for the manager who explained there was a new cook in the kitchen who was having a tough time getting orders out. We orders two pizookies and had to get them to go because we had to be somewhere else. The pizza finally arrived and it was burnt. The manager took the pizza and one pizookie off our bill and then ask if we wanted a to go box for the pizza. "That's a NO" read more
