I like the variety they have on their menu, you have to be a picky eater to not find anything you like on their menu. Their Atlantic salmon is one of my favorite dishes here. Really good flavors and it's supposedly not farmed which is great. They sometimes get a little busy at night but they usually get you a table pretty quickly. read more

Our latest visit to BJ's was beyond horrible. The food, the service, the staff. I can say I will not likely return. We went on a Monday. It was 1/2 price pizza night. We arrived around 6:45pm and the restaurant was not busy at all. We were seated within 5 minutes, ordered an appetizer, drinks and our pizza. The appetizer came out fairly quick. The pizza was a different story. We waited an hour with little communication from the waitress as to what was going on. Great burgers, very good service. Had a blast with my group and alcohol. My only complaint is with the deep dish pizza I ordered. It came with no sauce on it. Poor front service. We called to make a reservation and the lady on the line says they don't take reservations. Okay, that's fine.. we get there and for a party of 7 they said the wait was 25-30 mins. Those minutes went by and still nothing, instead they called another party of 7 who came in after us to go first. When questioned they responded with "oh they made a reservation." What do you mean they made one?! I hate how they contradicted themselves. Just say you made a mistake and apologize On the other hand, Our waitress was an angel. She was great and attentive. Took all our orders in a timely manner and was accommodating. She did forget to put my salad dressing on the side but I let that go. As for the food, the Mother's Day ribs were not up to par. I don't recommend getting this. Our party ordered 3 of these and all three were not consistent in taste/shape. The spaghetti and meatballs was average. I didn't particular think the taste was that great. It was actually too plain. The Peruvian bowl was inconsistent too. Tonight's was too sour. I tasted this last night and it was cooked way better. Pretty disappointed, I think I'm losing my faith in all chain restaurants but where do I start with this BJ's location. -Salmon smelled fishy and the rice was crunchy and undercooked (inedible) -Penne pasta tasted like melted plastic toys -Rice for Jambalaya was also undercooked and it looked like the plate was sitting under the heat lamp for a while before it was served cold and no flavor -Dont know how many times we asked the waitress for ketchup and after a few times we just ended up getting it ourselves. Sidenote: The waitress was actually very nice and did not have a problem replacing our dishes. We understand there is a shortage on staff in most restaurants but this was a Tuesday night and it was not busy. As we were being seated a family of four got up and started to leave because apparently they were waiting for 15 minutes and no one came over to take any orders. Had Broccoli and asparagus sides and the broccoli tasted funky, like it was very old or something and grilled asparagus was cold to the touch like it came out if a refrigerator. Whole meal was just disappointing. Also the server brought my wife and my food about 5 mins before the kids meals came out, which was a disaster. Daughter liked the kids pizza. However tonight the salad was disgusting because instead of the normal crispy brussel sprouts, they had cold brussel sprouts that were "soaked in red wine vinegar". This made the entire salad taste like vinegar (which I hate). They need to update the menu if they are going to change the salad. Our waiter was very nice and refunded us the salad. My husbands ordered the lemon thyme chicken which also had those exact same brussel sprouts and made it gross! His food came out cold. It's a no for us!! BJ's is a great place to go watch a game and have a drink! Other times it's a really loud, average bar/restaurant. They have a great selection of beer on tap. They make a lot of their own beers that are pretty good. It is a little pricy compared to all the local craft bars in the area. Food is pretty decent. They seem to be making an effort to get some more healthy options on their menu. We tried the roasted cauliflower and the beets. Both were good, but prices are a little high. If you are going for a nice dinner or date, than this is not the best place for you. This is a loud and busy place that's much better suited for watching a game or going out with friends. I don't know where to start! I love BJ's this has been one of my favorite restaurants thus far but after this past Thursday night visit I would never be back again. I must say it has been one of the worst experiences I've ever had in the restaurant industries. I'm use to managers turning a worse experience into a somewhat enjoyable night. It started off by entering the restaurant and the host was hesitant to great us. The hostess seat us at the booth and told us the server would be with us. Meanwhile my husband and I came in looking to enjoy a nice date night after a long day of work. While sitting at the table we seen two waiters walking back and forth- checking on tables. We waited for over 10 minutes to have a server finally come over and take our drink order. Not only having to wait 10 minutes to place an order for alcohol beverages and water the waiter was extremely rude as if my husband and I was a problem. My husband insisted on asking the waiter "if he knew why it took so long for someone to come take our order". The waiter didn't respond but repeated back and said "sir what would you like to drink". My husband asked the waiter politely if we could get a new server because he felt some type of animosity. The server then responded "yes, I think that'll be great because I feel the same way". The waiter brung the manager to the table to see what the issue was. We explained to the manager how long we were sitting at the table watching servers back and forth and not one of them asked if we have been helped. The manager looked at us as if we were the ones in the wrong. Worst experience ever and I'll never visit this location again. The food was terrible that day. The fried Mac & Cheese ball were not cooks thoroughly- Our entrees came out cold . When I made it home I realized they gave me the wrong Pizookie. What a bad way to end our night. & on top of all that we paid for this horrible food and terrible customer service. Never again I say- NEVER AGAIN. My husband and I work in customer service at your local hospital and when I say customer service is something we both strive for. So when we receive anything short of outstanding it's a must to leave a review. It doesn't matter how busy something is - a place of business should never have their guest feel as though we're not important. Acknowledge us - let us know you see us just as well as we see you guys and let us know someone would be with us shortly. This place has surprisingly become one of our new favorites in Denton. That also has a lot to do with the great location right next to the Cinemark and the times that they're open. They stay open until 12am most nights. The service is usually pretty good, although there's been a couple instances where we've waited longer than usual just to be greeted by the host and given a table. I'm talking several minutes of looking at open tables and for assistance with no acknowledgement of our existence. I'll say though, they've definitely made up for it with the delicious food and drinks we've had here. We typically get our food pretty fast after ordering, and the waiters that have serviced us have all been outstanding and friendly. This restaurant has an enormous menu, so much so that you might be overwhelmed by the vast amount of entrees and drinks offered. They surprisingly have really tasty boneless wings with several sauces to choose from. On this particular night I had the Spicy BBQ sauce, which I've had here before on my wings and they're very good! Super crunchy, hot, and full of juicy chicken with the perfect amount of sauce slathered on them. Their root beer glaze flavor is also delicious. Ariel went with the Mediterranean tacos, which she loved! She also loves their sandwiches. They also have delicious pizzas and desserts. Particularly the pizookies and monkey bread! 5/6/2022 We have eaten here for past 3-4yrs and have had pretty good food, but after tonight, we will never again. I placed our order for pickup at 6:20 and the computer showed our pickup time of 6:50. My son was on time-however no food. At 7:20 there was still no food-a full 1hr after placing our order! I called to see what the problem was and Tony "accidentally" hung up on me, so I had to call back. Apparently, the computer didn't "show the full order" so only 2 of our 3 meals were initially made. Ok...accidents happen, I just asked Tony to put new bread for the burgers/hoagie because we didn't want soggy sandwiches. I was promised that due to the elapsed time frame, the entire order was in the process of being redone. Bald faced lie... Nothing was "redone", no hoagie or bun was replaced and both sandwich and burger were soggy nasty. i had also ordered a salad-it sat for so long the avocado was brown, salmon was cold, no flavor at all-I had to pour picante on it to make it somewhat edible and still ended up throwing half of everything away. Just nasty, we will not be ordering or visiting this location ever again. Ridiculously poor service, and obviously the ones that were working took zero pride in their work. Sad to say but last time we will come here. The fish and chips are literally better at Long John Silvers and the "Avocado Egg Roll" tasted like something a day old, left out and reheated prepackaged. Slow Monday afternoon, took over an hour to get the food. Multiple items missing, my salad "wasn't quite ready" even though everyone else's ordered hot food and theirs was all complete. Waitress just didn't seem to want to be there. Other parties came in after us, ordered, received food, ate, paid, and left before we received our food. Hour and 40 minutes to grab a quick lunch. Also had queso for an appetizer and it was the worst queso we have ever had. Waiter was always trying to upsell throughout pushing the $30 tomahawk steak or the $22 pork chops. This is a new location for BJ's. Unlike lots of other BJs, they only have 3 TVs behind the bar playing games, but we didn't feel like we were missing anything. The food was delicious, I think the pepperoni dip is only there for a limited time, which is sad, but hurry in to try it! The servers were attentive and nice. It's really easy to join their rewards program and earn free stuff, but they're not by any means pressuring anyone to do so like can be annoying at other places. read more
