We usually come here once a year while attending a workshop in the area. It's just a convenient restaurant for us. Good service and during the summer it is a cool oasis from the California sun in the summer. The beers are always good here. I ordered chili and it lacked flavor and needed more meat. But, I was more disappointed in my Caesar salad. It was a little overdressed and pretty wilted. There was a brownish gray something in the roll that looked like bad avocado. My friend got the kicken chicken sandwich and said it was awesome. I got a deep dish bbq chicken. It was a 3 out of 10. My girlfriend got the Ahi tuna salad. The ahi was supposed to be sashimi grade. I'm call bs on bj's. It stunk and tasted of fish. Not fresh at all. The meal was a 1.5 of 5. The service was great. Our waitress took our phone number when we sat down and said that we had a free pizookie (score! This was a surprise!). Our waitress was very friendly and quick. We ordered the crispy Jalapeno burger and the smokehouse burger. I would say the Jalapeno burger was 3 out of 5 - it was just okay. Didn't have any Jalapeno flavor and was not spicy at all. The smokehouse burger was about the same - very little bbq sauce, but the onion rings were good. My husband and I visited BJ's Restaurant last night and, unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. We ordered a deep-dish pizza, the sampler appetizer, and a salmon dish. In the sampler, only one of the six "lemon pepper" wings actually had seasoning -- the other five had no flavor at all. The cheese sticks had no cheese pull, though the spinach artichoke dip was delicious. The pizza tasted like toppings on plain bread with just a sprinkle of cheese. The salmon was extremely overcooked, the broccoli looked brown, and the rice was served cold. We informed our server, who said she would speak to the manager. However, the manager never came by to check in only removing salmon from our bill. We did tip our waiter as she was wonderful and agreed with us. While things happen, the lack of follow-up was disappointing, and we won't be visiting BJ's again. read more

It was pretty busy considering it being a Thursday, but we didn't wait long for our food either! We came just in time for happy hour! $4 chips and salsa/guac, $6 margaritas. Margarita was good and fresh, not frozen! I had the Atlantic Salmon entree which comes with rice pilaf and broccoli. The salmon was a bit over seasoned with salt, but overall delicious. We also had the BBQ Chicken pizza to bring home and it was incredible. I always forget how good BJ's pizzas are. Don't forget to ask for ranch if you like ranch with your pizza! This was our first visit, and we were surprised by the vast menu. Lots of options....appetizer menu is vast, soup options, salads, sandwiches, pizza, dinner options, and over course dessert menu. I don't drink, but they had a ton of fun drink options as well. Our server Branson was EXCELLENT! He was on top of everything.....the only reason they got 4 stars instead of 5 is because we ordered an appetizer (ahi tuna) a solid 15 minutes before placing our food order, and we never received it until our food came out. Please just don't even bring it if it's not going to be out first. It's no longer an appetizer if it comes out at the same time. Brandon apologized, even though we know it wasn't his fault, and offered to take it off the bill. That's great customer service. I enjoyed the section on the menu that had $13 meals and you also get a dessert with it.....which I had the country fried chicken off that menu. The beer menu offers the chance to explore the many beer styles that they carry. We arrived fairly early before a movie at about 4:30p. They were already busy. We were told the wait would be about 30 minutes. But, after waiting only 15 minutes, a couple of seats opened up at the bar. That'll do! The bartender was very busy, but did get to us in a timely manner. She was very pleasant. I had my customary glass of beer while we waited for our meal. That is certainly nice on a hot day! I decided on a simple fish and chips dinner. My wife also kept it simple with their Chicken Avocado salad. There were four large pieces of fish cooked very well. My wife liked her salad as well. On such a hot day, the light meal was perfect. The overall experience was pleasing. Many already know what to expect with BJ's. My experience is almost always very good and the food, a step above the other neighborhood restaurants. The reason for the lack of the fifth star, has to do more with the location itself. It is smaller than other BJ's that I have dined in, yet located next to one of the largest theaters in the country. It is hard to get in to without a long wait. Also, I noticed the patio was empty. Guests could be accomodated there as well if only there were misters. I was surprised to see that there were none. Still, I am happy that we have a local BJ's from which to choose.
