So I came here with a group of friends only for the pazookis so I can't talk about the quality of their meals but this dessert never fails you! The waitress we had was so sweet and helped us when we were being indecisive because they have quite a few pazooki flavors to choose from but we finally decided on the cookies n' cream and white chocolate macadamia nut ones. We didn't wait too long for our desserts to arrive and they were worth it. This is a chain restaurant. Maybe because I am a non drinker, I cannot rate this place higher than 3 stars. I would like to, but there isn't anything truly outstanding about the food. Because I part of the electronic rewards program, I got an invitation in the mail asking me to try out their new location quite close to my house. Your only options were either lunch or dinner time slots, and by the time I called, only lunch time was available. They said bring 3 guests, so I hit up my fellow yelpers that work in the Katy area. Latisha P., Janine A and Shawn S. were the guinea pigs with me! This place is very nicely decorated with many screens that were turned to sports. They told me that since it is a family environment, they will not show fighting pay per views in the establishment. Since the place has yet to be open to the public, the place is obviously extremely clean. We are there to make sure the waiters can handle the Katy rush that happens whenever a new restaurant opens its doors. We had a preselected menu and we all shared the dishes. For lunch was a small gourmet five meat pizza with added chicken for a 6 meat dish. Next were seafood tacos, then Cajun pasta with shrimp added and then a BBQ pulled pork sandwich. They even had a Pizookie trio for desert. All in all, the food was just okay. The pizza wasn't outstanding, the pasta could have used seasoning in the actual pasta and not so much along the side of the plate for decoration, and the tacos were just tacos to me. The BBQ pulled pork sandwich was slightly tasty, but nothing to write to yelp about...even though I just did. The dessert trio was tasty, but I am a sugar fiend so that does not count. Even my orange cream soda was just okay. One person said it taste like soap, and asked for another carbonated beverage instead. I heard that their wings are really good, so one day I will go get some from them. All in all, looking at the amount of money we would have paid for this meal, I don't think the portion size and value is worth that type of money. I do know that you should sign up for their e-club and wait for food deals to come to your email to ensure a fair value for average food. Give them a try, but don't have your expectations too high...it is a chain restaurant. read more

6/16/19 It's very sad to see bad reviews for this location. But my experience great and I love BJ's, too bad they are only located in the suburbs. We went as a family for a very late Father's day lunch around 3 PM. There was a 30 minute wait and it was raining, so everyone was huddled and crowded around the hostess area. But we got a table in 8 minutes. Parking (5/5): There is plenty of parking and is located on the Feeder between Fry and Westgreen. Wait Staff (5/5): After reading all the bad ratings about the service, I had low expectations. Our waitress was Rayna, and she passed with flying colors, she was absolutely on top of her game, 5 Stars for her. She warned us about the delay in our food, as it was Father's day and very crowded, and suggested what to order and when to order. She refilled our drinks (Iced Tea, Lemonade and Strawberry Lemonade) before we even finished. She consistently checked on us and cleared our table. Drinks (N/A): We did not order anything, they had a huge selection of beer and their own selection was available as well. Food (5/5): We were super hungry and knew the food could take a while, so we ordered a side of fries and pot stickers as appetizers to get us started. My dad and I love the pizza here and split a medium Buffalo Chicken Pizza, no disappointments here. The pizza was on point as usual and I loved the chicken pieces on top. Both my brother and my mom ordered the New Orleans Jambalaya, and they both said it was very well made and my brother finished it all. In most entree's when you order shrimp, its only a few pieces, they had a large amount shrimp on the entree. Check (5/5): Rayna was excellent throughout the lunch, and she split up our checks quickly and and thanked us for coming on Father's day. They also handed out this beer pint glass with 20% off coupon for next time. The glass had a clever engraving, "Hoppy Father's Day 2019." We come here a couple times a years. Usually it's out of convenience or we just can't think of anything to eat and they have a little of everything. I wish the place was a little cleaner to be honest. I know they get really busy, but their dishes are sometimes a little dirty or the cups feel gritty. So if we go, I definitely try to keep it to their less busy days/hours. The servers have always been polite and the mobile app is awesome. This is the 3rd BJ's I've ever been to and definitely the best experience yet....probably because the only thing I paid was a tip. I told y'all free food is always good food (ok not always - see another BJ's review on the Sugar Land location). Came here on their dress rehearsal free meals for a cause. I ordered the orange cream soda. Frankly, I found it utterly disgusting, tasted like soap to me. We all split the pulled pork sammich, 5 meat pizza, shrimp tacos, and shrimp/chicken fettucini pasta dish. The food was OK, nothing rave worthy. I will say I enjoyed the pizza much more at this location than the aforementioned SL one. So s/o to Katy BJ's for making me KINDA see what the rave is about. We topped the meal off with the pizookie trio with the double chocolate, white chocolate macadamia and the salted caramel...I would say the macadamia was the best of the 3! Good dessert but I have a sweet tooth that won't quit so it doesn't take much. I think BJ's is a cool spot with the full bar and big screen TVs but their food has always needed work to me. Arrived at 10:40, restaurant was empty yet it took over 40 mins to get our food, and when it arrived our food was not even remotely good. I understand that BJs is not a top tier restaurant, but chilis and Golden Corral have served better food than what we received yesterday. Let's start with the different entrees that we received THEN I'll get to the service and management. Food: Burger: Burned patty on both sides, really pink in the middle and tasted like it looked-like shit 0/10 Nachos: Dollar store chips with possibly velveeta cheese and cold streak tri tip 1/10 California flat bread pizza: just like the service, meh. 0/10 Tavern cut pizza: bottom of pizza felt really undercooked and was super greasy...how the fuck do you mess up such an easy pizza? 0/10 gave me the shits Last but not least, the one that on top of the 40 mins to receive our food, took ANOTHER 40 mins to get remade because it came out looking like dehydrated piece of chicken that was left in the fryer for too long ( maybe the cooks were asleep or playing touch butt in the kitchen) The friend chicken sandwich: that sandwich tasted like it had been sitting in last years oil, and spent a little too much time in the sun. The first sandwich that came out was extremely burnt and not edible so when we told the server it wasn't good she said "well....what do you want?" Uh a new fucking sandwich , what the fuck do you mean? We waited 40 mins to get our original food, then another 40 for someone at our table to get their new chicken sandwich and it came back worse!! It was slightly pink inside and tasted like old oil, while it wasn't burnt he second time it was disgusting and left us not wanting to return ever again. -100/10 Service: Now the service, look, I know having to work a Friday night closing shift is not fun when maybe she has another job or was just not in the mood to give adequate service, BUT, we didn't even receive adequate service, it was like she completely forgot we were there in a room of 10 people lol. She checked on us 3 times, once to give us the food, once to bring the new sandwich and another to get checks but never bothered to offer refills or if ask if the rest of the food was alright, like I could of been choking on that jerky they call chicken sandwich and with no refill of water I would of died...imagine dying at a worse version of chilis? Just take my body and place it next to Texas longhorn, at least they do something right. ( shit steak place, so that says a lot ) 0/10 for service, still tipped the required. The management: One of our siblings went to talk to the manager about our experience and food, frankly it didn't seem like she gave a fuck about the fact that we had crap service and crap food. Asking questions like "well what would you want us to do?" Or arriving at our table AFTER the fact that we received two bad sandwiches and said "oh man, well I'll go talk to the cooks to see what's going on back there" it's a little too late for that, the cooks probably played hockey with that stiff ass piece of chicken then served it on the buns for us to eat. Let me not leave something really important out of this story, when the server first brought our food she dropped a cup of ranch on the floor below the booth so she cleaned it up right away, maybe not good enough because when one of our family members ( who not so long ago broke her arm and ribs in an accident) stepped out the booth and slipped causing her to use her broken arm to hold herself up on the booth and made her do the split as she was falling. The manager was informed and all she did was look at her and say "awww I'm so sorry" with the fakest face of sympathy I've ever seen. When we told her we had a horrible experience over all, and wanted our meals comped she almost hesitated to argue it but proceeded to do so, but the thing is we shouldn't have even asked it, you as the manager should notice your customers had a horrible experience maybe I should do the right thing and comp their orders so they don't go and write long ass reviews about me and my establishment...tooo late lol Overall: stay away from this location. Shit food. Shit service. You're better off going to all of my gardens (Olive Garden) down the strip or Texas longhorn (not endorsing this bc I've had some shit steaks but it's better than this), and if you want Bjs (ask ya wife) go to the pearland location because they have some fucking sense and even in the peak hours still provide great service and food. 0/10 and by the way the pizzokie isn't that good anymore, what a disgrace. read more

The first time I went here, I wasn't very excited. I'm vegan, and the thought of going to a place called BJ's brewhouse didn't sound very healthy. But a good friend recommended it, and I took her word for it Now I go here regularly. The menu has a lot of variety so there's something for everyone, and I always get a healthy "bowl". Today I went with friends and our server was a young man named Ilias. He was extraordinary. Ask for him! Shella was at the front, working a double shift, and was super welcoming. Not sure if this review is really helpful - the only items I seem to order is from the appetizer section and beer. This is my first time at this location - it is nice and new. Not that easy to get to if you are getting off I-10 westbound - entrance to the BJ's comes up quickly. We to BJ's around 11:30/Friday - the crowds just started to come in. We've eaten here before a couple of years ago so decided to try it again for a snack. We ordered the nachos & potato skins and they were the worst of each that we've ever eaten. The nachos were just a pile of oily and salty nachos inside a pizza box with a sprinkle of cheese & pico de gallo. I looked at them and asked for more pico and he brought me a spoon size container with pico. The potato skins we very blah. To add to this experience, the to go staff wasn't very welcoming or friendly. Chilis has better customer service than BJs so that says a lot. Will not be returning. read more

Everything about this restaurant is in slow motion. It took them almost five minutes to greet me, and they ask me if I been helped, and the second question kills me "What do I need?" I need to be seated duh !!! After the moon walk to my table. It took another five minutes before my server to get my drink, no go over the lunch specials. So I figure I'll figure it out on my own. The spaghetti with meat balls definitely hit the spot in the bad ways. The pasta itself was ok and the sauce was mediocre, the meat balls was burned also to the point that is going to the trash. We went on Veterans Day and it was busy but we were seated right away. The server was friendly and sweet. and kept checking on us. We ordered calamari (they were fried perfectly, crispy and seasoned well), tortilla soup in a bread bowl (yummy is all I can say!) and the shrimp and quinoa (also very tasty). I got a. Gluten free crust Buffalo chicken pizza tonight. It was the grossest pizza I have ever tried to eat. First of all it didn't have any buffalo sauce on it and no ranch dressing either. The chicken was just scattered on top, not enough for a full serving. I ordered it with stewed tomatoes on it and there were none. I also ordered it without onions and celery and they put it on there. I would rather have had one of the little $1.99 frozen pizzas. For $22.25 it was NOT worth it! read more

Tried again today, sat at the bar, and the two guys working behind were complaining and arguing. I always love Bj's! One of my favorite restaurants to go. The food is always good and it's rare that the customer service is bad or that the food is wrong. I decided to come to this location for my birthday and I really enjoyed it. Our waitress was ok didn't seem like she really wanted to be working that day but it wasn't a big deal. I ordered my usual Mediterranean Chicken Pita Tacos. You can never go wrong with this entree. It is so delicious! My boyfriend got the Jambalaya and the kiddos got a large pizza! They all enjoyed it. We also got some cheese curds and calamari for an appetizer and they were perfect! For dessert I also got a complimentary pizzokie since it was my birthday, it was the triple chocolate chip and I loved it! We also got the monkey bread pizzokie and the cookies and cream. Overall, I enjoyed my birthday lunch and I will definitely be back. read more

This is also a good place to watch sports game and have a full bar. I'll visit this place again and will recommend to others. Would had given 5 stars but their floor need some attention. I'm not sure why this place has bad reviews. I've been here many times and I've had nothing but great service and excellent food!! They have tons of options on the menu and I haven't had one thing that isn't awesome! Really! Today we had two managers come to my table to make sure everything was s we expected. Wow! The food:: The Ribs!!! And the steaks!! And the white cheddar mashed potatoes!!!! And the brussel sprouts!!!!! I'm excited about brussel sprouts?!?!? They must be good! We've had the pizzas and they are good. The have gluten free pizza and buns and desserts. Dessert:::: And OH MY...... the Pazookies!!!!!! save room for dessert!! Short answer before diving into the full review....this was my first and last order from the Katy's BJs Brewhouse. We decided to split an entree salad and burger and save room for the Pazookie. We ordered the chopped barbecue chicken salad. It was supposed to have romaine, jicama, barbecue sauce, and onion straws......all missing. The salad was smaller and less tasty than the $8 salad I get from Slim Chickens. Iceberg lettuce was limp and chicken was tasteless. $15.45 seemed a bit pricey when I ordered it, but was ridiculous for the size and poor quality of the so called entree salad. We ordered the bacon cheese burger, medium, with fries. The fries and bun were great. The burger was overcooked and dry. We live 1/2 mile from the restaurant so did not dry out on the drive home. How hard is it to do a decent burger? .......and the one thing we really wanted was burnt. The chocolate chunk Pazookie. Cooked in an aluminum takeout tray, edges were black and you could smell the burnt chocolate. Why would you send that home with someone? Just redo it if you left it in the oven too long. The ice cream was good. Also the server that brought the order out was very friendly. BJs hopefully you do a better job for your returning customers. Sorry but I will not be one of them. Next time I get a craving for a Pazookie, It's a quick trip to Randall's for cookie dough and Häagen-Dazs and my own oven. read more

Down, down, down. BJ's used to be so good. What happened? We've watched their prices rise, their food quality decrease, and their staff dwindle and get less experienced. On our 2 recent trips, we experienced stringy tri-tip (so bad it was inedible), asparagus (both times) where the dry ends haven't been taken off and most of it is woody and inedible, no wait staff checking on us the entire meal, no drink refills (the entire hour+ we were there), not clearing plates and having us literally hold our next plates until they come back to remove salad plates/app plates/etc. It's so strange. Tonight I had the avocado egg rolls and literally the only thing in them was mushed up, brown avocado on a plate of dried out carrot shreds and some green herb (I don't know. It had NO flavor). Nothing like the photo or description - avocado, cream cheese, sun dried tomatoes, onion, cilantro, and chipotle peppers. There was nothing. No color except brown mush. My son ordered a salted caramel pizookie which came with no caramel and no chocolate chips. Our waiter was rushing around everywhere and it seemed like they must be terribly understaffed. Still, there were countless other workers just standing around doing nothing. I don't know. It's a mystery. Overall, BJ's just isn't worth it anymore. read more

Me and the hubby decided to stop at BJ for our late valentine's lunch. Upon arrival we were greeted immediately with a smiling face. We order the calamari as app, it was perfect. Not overcooked or too crispy. Just right. I ordered the ribeye steak with loaded potatoes and asparagus and the hubby order pizza. (half pepperoni and half mushrooms). When the pizza arrived; it was all mushroom which was incorrect. Our waiter Tyler identified the problem and notified the manager. The manager arrived to our table and offer to make a full order of the pizza the correct way.
