Arrived and was seated immediately, however it took someone 15 minutes before asking our table if we had been served yet. They overheard my husband and I debating on leaving because we were so upset. The waiter was nice and apologized and took our order. I ordered a happy hour Margarita and chicken potstickers. The margarita arrived water down and melting as if it had been sitting there before I even placed my order. The cup was already sweating and the sugar on the rim had already slid down into the glass. The potstickers were given to us with an empty sauce container. Again the waiter was nice enough to switch my drink but by that time we were already disassociated in the service. If it was a busy night I would understand but there were only 5-7 tables full in the entire restaurant, why was the service so bad???!!!!! read more

Had not visited her since 2014... it's been a while. Most chains either stay the same or lose their appeal... well not this place! The menu has grown [22 pages [estimate]], the interior had improved and the food is darn good! Our server was Mia, super sweet and above helpful.. I was so impressed with her eagerness to assist us in picking out the best meal and ensuring everything came to our table as needed. The pizza was fresh out of the oven and so amazingly worth the extra cellulite that will be found on my thighs soon... All in all, I support this chain sticking around as they are making efforts to stay relevant and grow in such a big city that is overly saturated with existing restaurants. I would likely order the pizza again as their menu does have a hundred of choices, but their made to order pizza is too hard top pass up. read more

We met some friends for dinner the other night. My salad was very good. My husband got fish and chips and he said it was awful. Another friend got a steak and she said it was so bad she should have sent it back. I observed that she could barely cut it and it did not even look appetizing when they sat it down in front of her. Went for dinner with family and friends the night before Thanksgiving. Not crowded, but a bit of confusion on how to seat six people...? Beer flights were good, but The Bartender "forgot" to make one of the drinks. Service was not memorable......it took a long while for the server to come take out orders and she disappeared for long periods. Another birthday celebration at BJ's Katy location. This time up my rating to 4 stars only because our server had a great attitude. I could tell she was new and trying her hardest to provide great service. There was a long wait (over 30 minutes) due to the restaurant's limited seating areas. Some areas were closed to maintain social distancing according to the restaurant. However, I believe the real reason was due to being understaffed not unusual for a lot of restaurants during Covid-19. The restaurant was out of Calamari and bone in chicken wings. I don't know what is going on here....on a Monday night, you have no bone in wings? Our waiter said they have been out of Calamari for awhile....yeah blame it on the boats sitting in the docks. This means their Calamari is being imported from overseas. Yuck, glad they were out. Hopefully the management makes some improvements real soon or this location is going under. read more

I went in there about 10 days ago. Was seated at a very sticky table. Waiter came and wiped table off but was still very sticky. Ordered a spinach dip appetizer, was not only not hot, it was cold. BJs used to be a good place when it first opened but has really gone down the tubes. Ended up leaving without ordering dinner. Chips that came with dip were super greasy and broken. Small pieces. Last couple times we ate there the food was good but the service was awful. After this latest fiasco I will not be going back. There are way too many other places to eat around here to go to a place like that. That place needs an overhaul. read more

Dough was half baked, had holes in it, and I found a hair in my side of ice cream. This is my second time visiting BJs. Multiple servers passed us yet no one asked if we were ready or had been served yet. This location used to be great but it's gone downhill. If you can make the trip go to the Sugar Land location instead, I haven't had any issues there. read more

We couldn't find our waitress and had to ask people to track her down then they told us she was sitting in the office she was apologetic when she showed up asking for our drink orders 36 mins later. So saw a picture of the kid sized pizza online. It's $6.50. Because of the price and pic, I didnt have a problem paying that so I bought a few. I was expecting a mini deep dish chicago style pizza. What I got was an was complete garbage. The pizza seemed like it was microwaved with one of those crust envelopes like they use on pizza pockets, because it definitely didnt seem out of the oven. The crust was abysmal, like those frozen round pizzas you buy for the kids. Its definitely not worth $6 for a kid nor adult. Cicis has a deep dish with pepperoni for $8 the crust, sauce and pepperoni are all better than his. And I'm not even a fan of cicis. This was more of a rant than review but it sucks when you're overcharged for a subpar product and over promised with what they show that your buying. read more

I knew the service would be bad before going but someone else in our party picked this place. We made a reservation just in case it was busy. The table she took us to was already seated so we had to go back to the hostess stand and they had to find another table. It wasn't very busy for a Saturday night at 6:30 which surprised me. Our server got our drinks pretty quickly but that was about it with the good service. It took him awhile to take our orders then he forgot someone's meal. One kids meal had the wrong side so we switched them. No extra plate for the kids sharing a meal. My mini pizza looked sad on a small plate. It took another ten minutes for the missing food to come out. We ordered a pizookie ahead of time so the wait wouldn't be too bad. You could definitely tell we were two parties but he didn't offer to split the bill. Pizza has been better in the past but service has not gotten better here since the last time which was at least five years ago. They really need to fix things at this location. read more

This is a frequent date night spot for my man and I, as it's one of the only places we can both agree on when we're both feeling something different. We come here a few times a month, usually on a weekend evening. It's funny because I can review this place as a whole (which is the 3 stars), and I can review it based off our experience with our FAVORITE bartender (which his stars are off the charts) - so I'll start with the place as a whole. The building itself is located off the feeder with ample parking and situated along an array of other restaurants. The inside is always clean and boasts plenty of seating and a large bar with TVs for days (great spot to watch a game!!!). The food is always spot on. Everything I've eaten from here is delicious, served hot, and consistently tastes the same. They have a wide selection of beers and liquors and a great happy/reverse hour. What makes me sad, and what warrants the 3 stars, is the shitty service. Whether it's the sad looking hostesses who don't know how to properly greet a guest to the EXTREMELY slow servers, we consistently have poor service.... UNLESS we see Phil!!!! Phil is our saving grace, and we always look for him every time we come. If he's not there, we're pretty much doomed (and I'm not exaggerating). We've sat at the bar multiple times and tables, and each time it's NOT Phil the service is awful. But when he IS there, it's AMAZING! Mr. BJ's Manager - can you clone Phil? He has memorized our drink orders and even remembers my boyfriend's favorite dishes. He is fast, kind, and never lets your drink get empty. He could be the only bartender helping 8-10 people, and still works at 110% - checking on food, cleaning our area, and refilling drinks. He is the MAN, and BJ's is better because of him. Customer service is THE most important thing to a restaurant. You can have the best food, best atmosphere, etc., but have shitty service that throws everything off. So my 3 stars will go warranted since Phil is the only shining star of the staff. When you can find 10 more like him, this place will be better and so will your ratings! read more

My wife, daughter and I went to BJ's to celebrate Father's Day. It was my seventh year in a row going there. In the past, my son and I went to BJ's but he was in Paris, France. We sat at the bar because that was my preferred place to sit. Philip the bartender was excellent. He took our orders for appetizers, food and drinks. The service was great and the food was delicious. If I could give -10 stars I would. I came in and it took the host 10 minutes to see me and as me and my family were about to walk out we were finally noticed. The host brought us to a dirty table with dirty seats, we had to change tables twice. By the third one we were just telling them to wipe it down. Our server was okay, but the food it was so bad. My husband got the prime rib he hated it and I just got a side salad & ended up going to McDonald's instead. because I just felt disgusting in there. The vibes were off. Chefs were coming out the kitchen & there was this particular chef with dreads she came out and had no hygiene whatsoever (hair not done, chef shirt open where you can see the grease infested muscle shirt, shoes untied, & pants sagging) and smelling of marijuana , it was so bad. The waiter that started us off( I think his name was Patrick) he was exceptional, the person that took his place was good but you had to keep calling him. We stopped in Dec 26th at about 8 pm with a group of six people, 5 of them over 6 ft tall. First the hostess looked at us with an "oh crap I have to do something " look on her face. She led us to a narrow both for six, which means if any one needs a restroom two other people have to get out. It was also so narrow that no one over 200 lbs could fit. When I complained about the booth and asked for a table, the hostess lead us to a table for four that she had jammed two extra chairs and plates on. There were multiple empty tables all over the restaurant and I asked again for table to accommodate 6 people comfortably. She then gave me the bitchy glare like asking to be comfortable while spending $150 was a huge burden for her because she preferred to just stand at the hostess desk staring into space. I guess the food was okay but the hostess making me beg was a huge turn off. Update Manager messaged me offering apologies for the hostess. A nice move on their part. read more

This is my second time at this location and thought I would give an update. I came here with my in-laws, there were eight adults and one baby. The restaurant was not super busy or packed, we arrived around 7:30-7:45 pm if I remember correctly. We were told there would be a 20-25 minute wait. Thankfully, BJ's was able to get us a table set up quicker than expected. That being said, most things were downhill from there. After ordering our food, it took easily 30 minutes (if not longer) for our food to come out....and when it did come out, the two burgers that were ordered were cold and over cooked. The burgers were ordered medium rare and they came out well done. On a positive note, my tavern style pizza was absolutely delicious! A huge recovery from my inedible steak from the last visit over 3 years ago. We spoke to our server about the burgers and she took them back to be refired. The burgers still took an amazingly long time to come out, at least warm this time, but still over cooked. The burger was unevenly cooked - well done for most of the burger, but found a small chunk that was cooked medium. I increased my rating by half a star and rounded up to three stars only because overall, the food tasted better this time around. The service was still excruciatingly slow.... like let's go across country and kill the cow and chickens and then come back slow. I would recommend avoiding this restaurant and spending your hard earned cash somewhere else. If you do have to eat here, get a tavern-style pizza. Your taste buds will at least be happy even if your patience runs thin. read more

Waited 15 mins so she could come back and tell us " I guess your waiter isn't coming, I'll just take your order"!!!?? What?? So much for team work. This restaurant needs to get their s### together!
