We waited about 5 minutes before another party came in; after they were sat at table, a server went to their table and greeted them offering water while we were just sitting there. We got up and left the restaurant after that. We went to Bahama Breeze across the parking lot which took care of us right away and the food is better anyway. Had dinner here last night (April 21, 2026) and aside from an incredible effort by our server the experience was a disappointment at best. I've been to BJ's many times before, all good experiences. But last night began with our waiting an extraordinary long time for service after being seated, even with the manager standing in direct sight of our table. Waving our arms and even shouting for help did not get his attention. After 10+ minutes, our server arrived and took our drink and food order. Drinks came right out, but food took 25-30 minutes. Orders were mixed up or wrong, then our salads were served AFTER our entrees! At least two (of four) entrees were terrible-- one was practically inedible. The personal deep dish pizza was no better than a mid-grade frozen store bought pie I could make at home. The chicken and pasta dish looked like day old reheated leftovers, and tasted worse. Two of the usually reliable piz-ookie desserts were over baked. Also, wrong desserts were delivered from what was ordered. All the while no tables around us ever got bussed, so we were surrounded the entire time by tables covered in dirty dishes and half filled glasses. Hardly appetizing. Our server was friendly and worked as hard as she could but it became obvious she had no support from either the kitchen or her manager. We ended up feeling sorry for her! But unfortunately it was us as customers in the end that had to pay the bill for this sad experience. I love to visit BJ's Brewhouse quite often and I usually don't have any issues. Today was a little different. I know they have wonderful food and that is why I return so often. They have great choices AND a large variety that will please anyone in your family/party. Today we had a server who was just so sweet. Very kind, thoughtful and checked in on us a couple times. My issue today came from the kitchen. I ordered the Soup and Salad combo for lunch, and the person i was with ordered a Slamburger. Both of these were on the $13 meal deal. Great promotion! My Salad and Soup came out and i started my meal expecting my friends lunch to be out shortly. I get timing may be off. I was almost done eating lunch when i checked with the manager wondering where the burger was. After all i was now almost done with my meal. Well the burger finally came out as i was taking my last bite off my meal. Just thought it would have been nice to enjoy our meals together and there was not a lot of concern from anyone else. We usually love BJ's so we decided it was a good (reliable) place to go since we were all tired and hungry. We walked in (party of 4), and were told it would be 35-40 minutes. With lots of empty tables we were surprised to see the groups of people waiting. We asked if it was open seating in the bar, it was, so we grabbed a table there. After a wait, our server came over and gave us menus. When he finally came back we were ready to order our drinks and food. He took our order and I just had a feeling this wasn't going to be good. I even said to my husband that I had a feeling our order was going to have issues. I ordered a wedge, but with ranch dressing and no blue cheese. I have ordered it like this numerous times at BJ's and it's never been an issue. My wedge came out first, and it had blue cheese crumbles. Our server took it back and brought me a new one pretty quickly. When the food came out three of the four were correct. My sissy ordered a salad with chicken and they brought out an Ahi Asian salad. When she brought it to his attention he told her that "it is what she ordered." All of us heard what she ordered, and this was not it...plus, she doesn't eat fish of any kind. Instead of taking it away and getting her the correct salad he went and got a menu, put it in front of her and told her to "point to what she ordered." This was super odd especially since she didn't point to the menu when she ordered initially. Needless to say, she got her replacement salad when we were all nearly done eating. I have been wanting to do the $13 Pizookie meal and I came here with some friends. I did not realize it doesn't work on the weekend however there is a weekend deal menu that we did instead. Service was good. The restaurant is really big. They have screens all over however they only were able to show one football game and told us there are no other channels available, to the disappointment of my friends. So forget Sunday football here this is not ideal to watch here. The food was really good. Soups were not served hot, but they were tasty. The tomato mozzarella salad was good. The prickly pear drink was delicious! Mashed potatoes were excellent! Large steak that my dog was very happy with later at home. And the Pizookie was great, we got the spooky seasonal one. Very nice chain brewery with a huge selection of different beers. This BJs had very good service and the food was good. We loved the soft pretzel appetizer. The waitress was very slow, to say the least. Barely checked in on us, to the point where we started to ask other workers for help/assistance with our table. It was not busy or crowded may I add. Took a while to take our food and drink orders. Once the food came out, everything was cold and a few items were missing from a few of our orders. I had the chance to celebrate my birthday with a spookie pizookie, which was very tasty. We went to the BJ's happy hour which was from 3:00 to 6:00 pm. We ordered the avocado Egg Rolls, Chips with guacamole and salsa, Chicken pot stickers and a pepperoni personal pan pizza. Everything was delicious especially the pizza. We decided to come back the following Wednesday happy hour and we ordered the nightly special. We had the Steakhouse Burger with bottomless fries. We ordered the burgers medium rare to medium and they came out perfect. The burgers came with thick cut smoked bacon, caramelized onions, sautéed mushrooms, Gruyère cheese, black garlic aioli and arugula. It was cooked perfect and the French fries were crispy and not greasy at all. The burgers were only 12.99 and all the appetizers were 7.00 each. They also have night beer and drink specials as well. From outside and inside this place has a good ambience. Plenty of parking space so you don't have to worry. We were greeted by a kind hostess and pretty soon showed to our booth. The food is still good and probably the big crowd that suddenly came in, must have taken away the attention from our waitress. As for the food, it definitely didn't match the pricing. It was average food with extremely premium on it. The table got a sample appetizer, which like something that was left over and put on a tray. The boneless wings were a frozen product with cheap meat inside and a sauce. The pizza was tasty but another frozen product and micro small. The tuna has zero flavor it seemed like the salad was sitting waiting on the hot food. overall, I won't recommend this place or even go back to it. We really liked the garlic knot bruschetta as an appetizer. It's large enough for two, but small enough that it won't fill you up. The chicken bacon ranch Piadina is a creative twist on a quesadilla. The wrapper is mostly Parmesan cheese. The Asian chopped salad is exactly what you expect, and my usual go-to dish. It's worth noting how gorgeous this building is on the inside. The space is huge, stylish, and very nicely lighted, with a really attractive bar across one side. Service was friendly and efficient. One of the better choices in Lake Buena Vista. read more
