I'd like to rate this BJ's an 11/10 for their excellent customer service from Sergio and his staff! Here are a few highlights from my experience that demonstrated Sergio and the staff went above and beyond to ensure my family and I had the best experience and will return back to this location: -I had told Sergio that we had a group event at BJ's due to hosting a funeral the same day. Sergio and his staff personally made an effort to express their condolences and their gratitude for choosing their location to celebrate. -Originally our party size was 30 but an hour before our reservation time, we found out half of our guest list would not be attending. When I called to make the change, the staff were happy to accommodate the change with no hesitation. -As some of our guests were arriving late, Sergio ensured that the food prepared for the buffet stayed as fresh as possible once all of our guests finally arrived. read more

We've been coming to BJ's since it opened and have always enjoyed consistently good food and service -- but unfortunately, tonight was a major letdown. My husband ordered his steak medium-rare, and it was served well-done. Our server didn't check on us until I was already finished eating, and by that point, my husband didn't want to wait for it to be recooked. My drink wasn't refilled until my plate was empty, and no one cleared our table. To top it off, nothing was comped or adjusted on the bill, despite the poor service and incorrect meal. The only bright spot of the night was the hostess -- she was warm, welcoming, and very friendly. Sadly, that was the only part of the experience that met our expectations. Went to BJ's to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Food and ambiance were good, but the service was very disappointing. Our server treated other tables warmly, but with us he was cold, dismissive, and barely engaged--no smile, no courtesy. When we asked for the check, it took a long time, and after handing over my card, he stopped at other tables before processing it, which felt intentional. It's about 80 degrees and as soon as I walked in to this place I feel so warm. I asked the hostess and she confirmed that the AC is not working. My husband got the ribs and it was good. But my mini deep dish pizza was very disappointing. There was barely any cheese on it and all it has is a thick pizza dough with topping. I couldn't be more disappointed and only ate one bite. Service is very slow and I even give my feedback about my food but no one cares. Just smile and walked away. I just don't know how they run this place. read more

First time at this location for a family dinner. We had issues with seating and wasn't impressed with the hostesses. Without asking if it was acceptable to us, they had our party sitting in two booths (not tables) next to each other. So obviously not much conversation can be had with the whole group. Instead of waiting longer than we already had, we decided to keep the seating as is. They definitely have room to improve with their hostesses. What changed my mind from giving them 1-star was the manager's service recovery. He apologized and took ownership of the situation. I wasn't impressed with our server, she had no sense of urgency, was barely friendly and we had to ask her twice for things. If it wasn't for the manager coming back to check on things, service would have been worse. Had the server been good, I could have rated higher because again, of the manager. The food was great. Everyone liked what they ordered. Appetizers were good, especially the Avocado Egg Rolls. Pretzel with the Cheese Sauce and Mustard also yummy. I had the Parmesan Crusted Chicken which came with Mashed Potatoes and Broccoli and it was really good. The portions are large, I had the rest of my meal for lunch the next day. I'm sure I will be back, I've always liked BJ's. I hope to be able to rate higher next visit. read more

It was my first time at the Tracy location and it was cozy inside. The mozzarella sticks and pizza were very delicious and flavorful. The pizookie is a seasonal flavor and definitely worth trying. Each bite was mouth watering. Unfortunately their utensils were dirty and service could be better. We walked in and were told to go to a booth and it was left dirty. We then were asked to wait till it's cleaned and a couple walked in and they went and sat at the booth we were waiting to be cleaned. I had to remind the host I'm still waiting on a table. read more

My family has been since it opened, but unfortunately our experience on March 18 was the worst we've had. Our waitress was rude, pushy, and repeatedly got our order wrong, which made the entire meal frustrating from the start. To make matters worse, they were out of three items we initially tried to order and half the wine list. The manager did come over and apologized, offering to reassign our table to a different server. It was his idea! I agreed, but the situation was never actually resolved--the same waitress continued serving us, which made things uncomfortable for everyone at the table. Before leaving, I followed up with the manager to ask why the change he offered never happened. He said they didn't have anyone else available, which is understandable--but that should have been communicated to us instead of making a promise that wasn't kept. Overall, the experience felt disorganized and poorly managed. It's disappointing, especially since we've been regular customers. We won't be returning anytime soon. read more

I've been to many BJs but this location is new to the town and I thought it was great! The service yes was a little slow, but the nice served instantly told us he was new and it was his first time serving. He definitely did his best and that's important to me. The food was also amazing! Fresh and I loved the new chili potstickers. They have amazing daily deals and I suggest Wednesday! A loaded burger with unlimited fries for $12!!! I ordered take out and when I picked up my order I don't usually tip until I check to make sure my order was in the bags, but since I asked for extra condiments I felt the need to tip right then and there. Got to my car and one of the ranch that she prepackaged had spilled all over the bag and into the kids meal. Not only that, they forgot a baked potato that I paid an extra $4 for. I went back inside to let them know of the error. The guy who I approached first acknowledged what I said. I thought he was walking away to get me a new bag, but instead went on to count receipts. So annoying!! I went back inside the pick up line to ask for napkins and the girl who had originally helped me finally noticed me and was able to remedy my order. Instead of me cleaning up the ranch mess it would have been nice to have them take care of it. This is why I don't like tipping before hand. I love 20 min away and if I don't check my order one kid is sure to be left hungry. Moral of the story: check your order, then tip if they got it right!?!? read more

I'm glad they built a new restaurant in the valley! BJ's is a classic establishment with good food, including pizookies. We came here for lunch. We did not have to wait long to get seated, but I did not think the service was particularly good. It took our waitress about 30 minutes to take our order and bring our beverages out. I recommend they hire more waitresses that are attentive. Our waitress never checked in on us and didn't have the best attitude. I rated the food a 7 out of 10. I enjoyed my burger and fries. I didn't like the Mac and cheese balls at all. The flavor was there, but I didn't like the breading and they were messy. Aside from that, we hope to return to taste more of their food and enjoy football Sundays! read more

1st impression- Lots of workers standing around doing nothing. Place is busy plenty of tables open. Needs to better managed in my humble opinion. I pointed out the fact that there were quite a few empty tables and a lot of people waiting. Our server was really good and attentive. Our food was pretty good overall. When they brought my meal it was the wrong one, so it had to be reordered. Don't know what happened between the server and kitchen but our server removed that meal from our bill without asking. Took my daughter and two grandsons there for an early Mothers Day dinner. For my drink, I ordered a margarita. When the waitress brought the drinks, I saw that there was salt on the rim of the glass. I had inadvertently forgot to tell the waitress no salt. I told her of my mistake and asked her to have the bartender remake the drink and this time with no salt on the rim. I turned and watched the bartender pour the contents of my existing drink into a different glass. I walked over to the waitress and asked her to tell the bartender to not reuse the same drink, as the salt will go right back into the glass. I said it loud enough so that he could hear me. He looked at the waitress and said with a pissed off look on his face "Well there ya have it!" Dumped the drink and made a new one. This is unacceptable. I would have gladly paid for both drinks as it was my mistake. To the manager; set your bartenders straight. This is the cost of doing business. From a wholesale perspective, the liquor he poured out is costing you 10 cents, if that! I don't need to remind you what I paid for that drink. Maybe you should instruct your wait staff to simply ask: "Salt or no salt?" I dropped $175.00 in your establishment. A little professionalism is expected. read more

Great Food, But Service still Needs Improvement We visited BJ's 9/15- Sunday for a birthday treat, arriving just as it opened--or so we thought. Yelp indicated they opened at 10AM, but upon arrival, we found out they didn't open until 11AM. This could use an update to avoid confusion. To pass the time, we grabbed coffee from Starbucks across the plaza and returned promptly at 11. Once back, we were surprised by the 15-minute wait despite there being only five groups ahead of us and no one seated inside. The front desk staff appeared to be in the middle of a meeting about seating arrangements, and everyone in line was left staring, wondering what was going on. It was unclear why the wait took so long, given the emptiness of the restaurant. That said, once we were seated, we got a nice table, and the Sunday football game was on, which was a plus. The food, as always, was delicious. We ordered the avocado egg rolls, ahi tuna salad, calamari, pizza, and a pasta dish--everything tasted great. For dessert, we indulged in their famous pizookies, which didn't disappoint. Overall, the food is excellent, but I think there's room for improvement when it comes to the customer service experience. We really want to see this place thrive, and with some attention to service, it can be even better. Will be back for another review - let's see if customer service issues gets resolved :) read more

We come here often, and the food is always pretty good. But the service is consistently bad. It takes just as long for the drinks to come out as the food sometimes. We always order our sides of ranch with the meal and it never comes out with the meal. Our server often doesn't come back until we're almost eating and at that point we don't want the condiments anymore. I always order the pizookie meal deal and have been skipping the pizookie at the end because by the time your server comes back, it's been so long I don't want to wait even longer for dessert. I manage a restaurant in town and am not understanding how service falls so short with how many servers we see there and the fact that there are food runners helping them. Would definitely change my review if the service improved as the food is pretty consistently good! read more

He asked what kinda beer I like and man pulled out a recommendation like it's his full-time job. And it was actually good, not like some IPA bitter water nonsense. But bro the food came out like Formula 1 pit stop. No wait time, no attitude, just boom, hot plate in front of me. Mac n cheese balls?? Don't play with me. That thing was CRISPY. After walking out of the Texas Roadhouse, in Tracy, California, I decided to come back to BJ's and what a Wonderful choice that was! Greeted and seated immediately with a Smile Sat only a couple of minutes and "Cory" approached and got my drink order. Without asking brought me water as well. She took my simple order and it appeared promptly and delicious. Sergio, the Manager, came over to my table, said it was good to see me again and asked how everything was. Wow, unbelievable how rude the take out person was. From the get go my order wasn't ready until 15 mins after the quoted time. They hand me my order without checking everything is there.. as I walked out I realized they forgot an item. I had to wait 15 minutes for the tuna poke appetizer that doesn't even need to be cooked. The lady working the Togo area gave me so much attitude. When I asked for a manager nobody came... there was no offer to make anything right from the situation. All I got was attitude and eye rolls.
