I ordered take out and when I picked up my order I don't usually tip until I check to make sure my order was in the bags, but since I asked for extra condiments I felt the need to tip right then and there. Got to my car and one of the ranch that she prepackaged had spilled all over the bag and into the kids meal. Not only that, they forgot a baked potato that I paid an extra $4 for. I went back inside to let them know of the error. The guy who I approached first acknowledged what I said. I thought he was walking away to get me a new bag, but instead went on to count receipts. So annoying!! I went back inside the pick up line to ask for napkins and the girl who had originally helped me finally noticed me and was able to remedy my order. Instead of me cleaning up the ranch mess it would have been nice to have them take care of it. This is why I don't like tipping before hand. I love 20 min away and if I don't check my order one kid is sure to be left hungry. Moral of the story: check your order, then tip if they got it right!?!? read more

Yo listen I don't usually write review and all but this time I had to. This BJ's was hittin different. The server Paris was solid guy, friendly, chill and knew his stuff. He asked what kinda beer I like and man pulled out a recommendation like it's his full-time job. And it was actually good, not like some IPA bitter water nonsense. But bro the food came out like Formula 1 pit stop. No wait time, no attitude, just boom, hot plate in front of me. Mac n cheese balls?? Don't play with me. That thing was CRISPY. After walking out of the Texas Roadhouse, in Tracy, California, I decided to come back to BJ's and what a Wonderful choice that was! Greeted and seated immediately with a Smile Sat only a couple of minutes and "Cory" approached and got my drink order. Without asking brought me water as well. She took my simple order and it appeared promptly and delicious. Sergio, the Manager, came over to my table, said it was good to see me again and asked how everything was. Wow, unbelievable how rude the take out person was. From the get go my order wasn't ready until 15 mins after the quoted time. They hand me my order without checking everything is there.. as I walked out I realized they forgot an item. I had to wait 15 minutes for the tuna poke appetizer that doesn't even need to be cooked. The lady working the Togo area gave me so much attitude. When I asked for a manager nobody came... there was no offer to make anything right from the situation. All I got was attitude and eye rolls. Just left from a work Valentines dinner where 24 of us showed up to indulge at Bjs.. not only did every order come out in perfection but the waiter was PHENOMENAL as well as Sergio whom I presume is the owner or manager but both of them and the hostesses etc were truly great working with such a large group and having no mishaps! Last night was our first time at the Tracy BJ's. My husband ordered the chicken wings and they were pink when he bit into them. Sent them back only for them to come back out almost charred on the outside, but still slightly pink. Waitress claimed it was because they were slow roasted then fried. Regardess, no one is going to risk their health for undercooked meat. My mini pizza was so doughy and chewy it was disgusting. Side order of fries looked like someone's left over fries thrown on a saucer. Waitress only removed the wings off the bill. We would've preferred she offered to get us something else to eat instead & maybe discount the new meal for the inconvenience. In any event, we paid for the rest of the food & left. I had a wonderful dinner at the fairly new BJ's in Tracy. The service was superb. Our waitress was Rekha. She was very very professional and went above and beyond her duties. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with fries. Chicken wings goodI asked for onions straws and the chef Teo Personally made me some. Can I tell you he's an excellent chef and they need to be on the menu. It was my Birthday my wife ordered dinner to go for us. She got a text saying it was done. I went to pick it up and it was not. It took 1/2 hour before I got it. I do understand it was a soft opening so I am not giving the 1 star for that. What I am not happy with is the prime rib I got. I could not eat it. It looks nothing like the picture. Could not even chew it. I called and asked for a manager. They were busy so I asked to have one call me back and never call back. I went to the web site and filled out the contact us. The first time we came to this BJ's, the service was excellent, the staff was attentive and the food came out quickly. Unfortunately, over our last four visits, the experience has really declined. The servers don't seem to acknowledge guests anymore. They can walk by several times without noticing what you need or even making eye contact before heading back to the kitchen. Having studied Hotel and Restaurant Management, I understand that good service is just as important as good food, and lately, both have been disappointing. Even the simplest meals have been taking an unusually long time to come out. I tried to overlook it for a while, but it's become too frustrating to ignore. I really hope management takes a closer look at what's going on because this used to be one of our favorite spots. read more

We had a nice dinner at BJ's tonight, our waitress ( Adriana) was fantastic and very attentive. We ordered few appetizers ( avocado egg rolls and calamari) both fried just right and it wasn't burnt. We also ordered Rib Eye Steaks and they came out right. We ordered a few drinks and finished our dinner with Strawberry Shortcake Pizzokie. Came in with two of my girlfriends on 4/15 and let me tell you this was probably one of the worst dinning out experiences I've had in a long time. First off it was so hot in there I thought I was going to pass out. No air circulation once so ever and when I told the waiters about it he said "yeah, you just have to smile and bare it" like what my kind sir? Secondly the shrimp scampi was so greasy and the bread was flavorless and dry. I got a Shirley temple was so syrupy I couldn't even finish it I ordered a moscow Mule and sent it back because yuck!!! I've been to many BJs in other cities and I've even been to this location once before and have never experienced that. We come here often, and the food is always pretty good. But the service is consistently bad. It takes just as long for the drinks to come out as the food sometimes. We always order our sides of ranch with the meal and it never comes out with the meal. Our server often doesn't come back until we're almost eating and at that point we don't want the condiments anymore. I always order the pizookie meal deal and have been skipping the pizookie at the end because by the time your server comes back, it's been so long I don't want to wait even longer for dessert. I manage a restaurant in town and am not understanding how service falls so short with how many servers we see there and the fact that there are food runners helping them. Would definitely change my review if the service improved as the food is pretty consistently good! read more

So happy they made one in Tracy! Servers are so friendly and always ensure we are checked on! We walk in and there are times it is busy, but most of the time they're not. My first experience here was with a large party or 20 teens to celebrate my kid's birthday. Needless to say, it gave me a lot of anxiety going into the dinner having to chaperone that many kids on my own. The staff was exceptional, they were very accommodating to the group. I was able to sit at the bar and enjoy my dinner and drinks to give the kids a bit of privacy, but still supervise. Food is awful. Everything was overly salty and yet somehow still bland. Ordered a the chicken club sandwich, which is improbably the safest thing to order. Bacon wasn't crispy and super thin (like microwave bacon), avocado wasn't ripe and it was hard, the garlic toast was a little burnt and so overpowering you couldn't taste anything else, not that there was anything to taste. I ordered onion rings and they brought out fries. I waited 15 mins to be checked on again and asked about the onion rings which took another 15 mins. The onion rings were mealy, not crispy, and gross. My wife ordered the personal deep dish which was pretty blah. My daughter ordered a some cold pizza and my son's bbq bacon burger was just a salt bomb. Finally the pazookie took another 20 mins afterwards. We've been here three times now. While I'm happy to have such a beautiful restaurant and I do enjoy the food the service all three times it has been not great. One time it was awful! Other two times they were ok. Never receive refills or adequate attention. I've worked in the service industry for many years so I can be lenient if they are busy or overwhelmed. As we always enjoy our meals at BJ's. Saturday night was extra fun because we had "Nico" as our server. I truly hope this message is received as it is written. "Nico" made our experience fun. I am in my fifties and my lady and I enjoy the food at BJ's and Nico added life to our evening. He was entertaining, kind and the reason for this yelp he was genuine. There is a generational gap between us and he broke that down and made us smile. I will return and look forward to Nico helping us again. We decided on BJ's for dinner and headed over around 7 PM on a Friday night. The wait was 30 minutes for a table, but we found two seats available at their open seating bar area. The food was excellent, however, the service needs major improvement. There was only one bartender servicing all customers seated at the bar and one barback helping her out. We started off with a holiday drink and a beer, as well as an appetizer. They never asked if we wanted entrees, so we had to ask to order it. Once we were done with our meal, no one tended to us and we had to follow up regarding our pizookie that was part of the $13 entrée + pizookie deal. Another 30 minutes passed and still no pizookie, so we had to follow up again. This was when they finally brought it out. What made me most upset is after waiting for so long, the bartender asked me if I wanted another beer, so I said sure. I may have made a mistake here assuming it was on the house for making us wait so long for some brownies and ice cream. Plus, I had already paid for the bill at this point? Maybe 5 minutes have passed without her bringing me another receipt, then I noticed that her barback reminded her to charge me for the beer. She then brought me a new receipt. Are you kidding me? I went on a Saturday and I was already expecting a long wait time however it went by fast, wait time was no more than 10 minutes. The waitress we got was called Karina & wow did she provide amazing customer service! She was genuinely friendly? Kept checking in if we needed anything & best part she brought some snacks for my kids without us asking her. That gesture impressed my husband & I because as parents that's a bonus for us. The kids were happy & stayed quiet for a while haha. The ambiance was great. They played some really good music, old school late 90s & early 2000s. Music that everyone can enjoy. The food was great. I never had any problem with their food. Still my favorite appetizer- the avocado rolls. If I can recommend their burgers, take it into consideration. Amazing! That dessert was fabulous- freshly cooked chocolate chip cookie which was just the right amount of crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, topped with vanilla bean ice cream. I'm still thinking about it today! The bazooki meal deal was very reasonable. I had a cheeseburger, and the gluten free bun was great. They were busy, and service was pretty fast considering. Came in on a Thursday night to watch the Browns beat the Stealers, have some happy hour treats and a drink. The place was packed and we were able to get a bar area seat quickly. Our server Alicia was an excellent and got us set up with some meal deals and let us know all of the specials. We had Pizza and Chicken Parm, delish. Overall the restaurant looks great and is a huge step up for Tracy. We should be grateful for Bj's opening in our upcoming town. Drinks 10/10 food 10/10 service 15/10. Will be back! read more

Went back on Thursday for dinner with the family. We had a good time food was quick not too crowded, but at the end it all went down hill. We got 3 mini pizookies Togo, I paid the bill ($80 and tipped 20%) and waited patiently. After 30 mins I was getting a little irritated, I asked our waitress, she said people in the back kept taking them out for other people. 1- if this is true BJs should probably fix that process. 2- they are Togo so why are they with the rest of them, seems like they should be separate since they aren't getting ice cream on them or coming out in the same dish as in the restaurant. Either way we ended up waiting 1hr for them to come out cold and missing the sauces to the cookies and cream one, and the Carmel one. Our waitress said sorry for the wait. If it was 30 mins okay I'll accept that but an hr for 3 cookies? There probably should have been more than a sorry. I understand it's not her fault, but we are your customers. Knowing it's been way too long it's your job to make it right. For the long wait and lack of customer service they will lose a star. read more

Just celebrated my daughter's 49th birthday at BJ's Tracy ... the food was just like any BJs we go to ...but what differentiates this Bjs is the service that we got from Marina, our waitress ... she was soo cordial and I like that she prioritized the grandkids first who were already hungry when we got there ... the orders came in promptly ... Kudos to the manager who allowed us to have our pork chop weekend special ... it was soo juicy and delicious not to mention a very size able portion ... love it!!! ... our party of 20 was comfortably celebrating without being rushed out the door ... somehow this restaurant didn't have the loud echoing environment that other BJ restaurants have...(I've been to a few BJs). .. Thank goodness, we were able to have amiable conversations with all my cousins catching up ..
