You basically seat yourself and then... nothing. No one comes to your table. Not for water, not for menus, not to take your order. You just sit there like an idiot waiting while servers walk right past you. It's happened every single time I've gone. The second time I came I was so fed up I left no tip at all (which I almost never do). This time? I didn't even bother waiting around. After 15+ minutes with zero acknowledgment, I just walked out. I've been here multiple times and really enjoy the atmosphere there are plenty of TVs, and the environment is relaxed with no issues of people acting out. Customer service is generally good as well. I've visited with larger groups of 8 and 6, as well as by myself. When I'm alone, everything tends to go smoothly. However, in larger groups, orders often get mixed up. For example, a burger ordered without cheese and tomato came with both and was missing lettuce. A steak requested well done came out pink. Chili beans were served as clam chowder, which I only noticed because of the color difference. I also asked for plain vanilla ice cream with no toppings, but it came with chocolate syrup. It seems like they focus on standard menu items and don't always accommodate modified orders accurately. That said, the food itself is always well cooked, presented nicely, and tastes good. She requested Oyster Crackers that were not produced right away. Then while she consumed a Chicken Parmigiana Dinner, I dispatched my entree of New Orleans Jambalaya with Steamed Rice. This dish was good, but as I continued to eat, I quietly noted that it seemed that something important was missing: the true spicy soul of Cajun cuisine. When we arrived it took a little while until someone greeted us. A server ended up seeing us standing at the front and told us she'd get the hostess. When the hostess came up to greet us, she was pretty indifferent and not at all concerned that we had been waiting even though it was 2:15pm on a Tuesday & not busy at all inside the restaurant. Once we were finally seated, our server was kind and got us in and out. The food came out pretty quickly and everyone thought the food was fine. Not too fresh or exceptional, but also not bad. We chose this restaurant to celebrate our mom's 80th birthday, but the experience started off extremely disappointing. We were told the wait was 1 1/2 hours, which was fine, but the manager, Marina, was rude and made us feel completely unwelcome. She even refused to let us borrow a pen to sign our mom's birthday card while standing there clicking it in front of us. After watching other parties get seated and the waiting area eventually empty, we finally took an available bar table--even though our 80-year-old mom had to sit on a barstool. This is our second time coming to this location. The ambiance is nice and the restaurant was clean. We went about 9pm last night (Thursday night) and it was busy, but not super busy. We were seated quickly. If you have never been here, it is quite loud, which is not a problem, it just may be for some. Perhaps earlier in the day it might be quieter. All that was great, now the for the service, it was quite minimal, our server she never came and asked us if our drinks needed refilling, she basically took our order, came by to ask if everything was ok and then gave us our bill. At the end of our visit she gave us the bill, we said thank you, she didn't say anything she just walked away. So maybe she was tired or having a bad night. Who knows. It wouldn't stop me from returning. Now for the food. Very disappointed. We all ordered the $13 Pazookie meals, 2 of us ordered the Chicken Parmigiana with pasta, I picked fettuccine alfredo and my daughter penne with marinara. Pastas were fine, sauces bland, especially the alfredo, the marinara like Chef Boyardee. The chicken was moist, but rubbery. My husband ordered the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and corn. His chicken was overcooked and rubbery. My son got the smashed burger with fries and he had no complaints. Now the pazookies were good, but 2 of us ordered the triple chocolate, I got mine to go, both had vanilla ice cream and mine didn't have the chocolate shavings to put on top, disappointed, but it was still good. One thing strange about the ice cream was how sticky and gummy it was, it tasted good, but never had sticky ice cream before, I read it could be because too many stabilizers are added or it was melted and re-froze a couple times. Stopped into BJ's Pizza for pizza and beers. The pizza itself was solid--fresh, well-cooked, and exactly what you'd expect from BJ's. No complaints there. Where this place misses the mark is the beer selection. Despite advertising a huge beer lineup, most of the taps were taken up by less popular or niche options, while the beers people actually order were unavailable. Several popular beers were simply not on tap, which was surprising given how much they promote their beer program. If you're coming strictly for pizza, you'll likely be satisfied. But if you're expecting a wide on-tap beer selection to match the hype, it may fall short. Hopefully this improves, because the food side is already doing its job. read more

We have decided to be done with this location, while I do understand the predicted wait times are predicted, the reservations shouldn't be, we were seated 45 minutes after our reservation, drink orders and appetizer were taken and brought fast, and our food order was placed fast, yet with only for people we waited over an hour for our food, and watched another table get up and leave before their food arrived. When the food finally showed they not only brought the wrong pizza, but my wife's steak that was ordered rare had zero pink, and when asked about it the server was rude, made a comment that it is healthier overcooked a d then said she could replace it but we would have to wait a out 30 minutes. I like the food at BJ's restaurant. They have a good gluten-free pizza. Their service is usually pretty good. My reason for only giving three stars is that twice I've had trouble paying my bill through there I think it's a QR code system. And I've been there twice specifically the one on Amargosa I cannot possibly be the only one that's ever had a problem and especially since it's happened twice yeah we'll probably go there again at some point. We made reservations at 10 AM in the morning on 8/6/26 for 8:30 pm. We arrived on time and our table was not ready. So the reservation was useless. They had us wait 15 minutes to set some tables. They set us up with server Kelly a. Which she already had an attitude from the beginning, the look on her face said it all .We ordered an appetizer. 10 piece bone in wings. Those took forever to come out maybe around 35 minutes so I called the server and said can we order some chips and guac any appetizer that would come out faster and she gave me that look. well that took another 30 minutes.. I missed out that when we arrived. I reminded them that I had made reservations and put on the notes that it was my daughter's birthday and that we wanted to order a birthday Pazooki for her she said yeah, OK and walked away. All seven of us got our orders another 35 minutes later I ordered the tri-tip and shrimp scampi plate. I noticed right away my shrimp was not on my plate. I said in mind I'll give it some time. I got done with my meal and brought to a cooks attention and said I never received my shrimp so I waited another 20 minutes and ate that by itself. Keep in mind the server by then you can tell she had an attitude the way she brought the food the way she placed the plates on the edge of the tables, not putting our appetizers in the center of the tables. She would leave it on the edge on an empty chair side .we all got done with our meals and my daughter's birthday Pazooki never came. We brought it to our service attention again, and that took another 20 minutes while we stared at each other waiting for that to come late.. when she finally brought it, she just placed it on the table and left... I called to speak to the manager, which he was very kind and said he would bring it to her attention and that he was gonna bring it to her attention.about the service we received he offered to discount my bill and I said I am not complaining to get a discount. Me and my husband are regulars at BJ's. Although we don't always have a great experience with the customer service here( we've gotten a lot of rude and inconsistent service), last night we experienced an OVER THE TOP EXPERIENCE! Shout out to Gabriel who had a positive attitude, made sure our food was correct and had great communication skills . I hope he is our server every visit ! This review is a reminder where not to go, especially in Victorville. I was in town for work and the group decided to go to BJ's restaurant. I glanced over the menu and decided to go with their combination style pizza. A coworker ordered the chips and salsa and guacamole. First off, my soda was flat. Does no one check the calibration? My coworkers chips and salsa and guacamole came out. I must say the chips and salsa were good, but whoever poured the chips onto the tray poured the very last amount that was in the bag because there was nothing but small broken pieces. Ridiculous. If you're gonna serve chips, salsa, make sure the chips are full-size and not the bottom of the bag. My coworker had to tell the waiter about this issue and luckily they brought out a small bowl of chips. Please BJ, don't go easy with that small bowl of full-size chips. Now let's talk about my pizza. I love me some pizza. This pizza that I was given, was ridiculous. Lacked flavor. The pie crust was dry. I seriously only tasted the crust and I did not taste any toppings I had two slices and stopped. I should have just went to my hotel room and ate salami and cheese that I had. That would've saved me $30. I ended up taking the pizza to go and giving it to the homeless person that was on the sidewalk. Stopped by while traveling through town. Sat in bar area for Happy hour. Food & drinks: several of the appetizers are available on the happy hour menu and very reasonably priced. Our group shared the spinach-artichoke dip, and the avocado rolls. Both were very tasty and priced well. The tortilla chips were very light and crunchy. You could easily fill up on these. There was also a happy hour dinner menu. Had a few entrées available for about $13. Includes a Pazooki dessert Our group had several of the beers on tap. There were no complaints. The happy hour Margarita was one of the worst margaritas I have ever had. It was a watered down concoction. I don't even know if it had any type of tequila in it. I will Never order again. Probably better off paying full price for a regular margarita. Service: our server did a great job. He was attentive, but not overbearing. He was handling quite a few tables/parties and managed to do a good job. Ambiance: good, relaxing vibe. A few large tv screens around showing sports games. House Wedge Salad (4): Can't go wrong with a quarter of iceberg drenched in ranch. No issues. BJ's Favorite (3): This is normally one of our go-to pizza's here. It's basically your supreme in a deep dish format. Normally it comes out piping hot and is moist throughout. Ours didn't meet that standard. The pie was warm but wasn't piping hot and the crust was somewhat dry. Tavern-cut pizza (3.5): This one was actually really good. Came out piping hot and the toppings were good. This was our first time getting tavern-cut though and it was smaller than expected. Good thin crust in a flatbread format, but just small. Chocolate Chip Pizookie (5): When executed well, this is our favorite dessert. They executed it well. Chewy cookie. Melted chocolate. Contrast with ice cream. Always amazing. Put it in front of kids and it disappeared quickly. Beers (4): Almost always on point. Can't go wrong with their own brews. We're definitely fans of BJ's and have frequented many different establishments. We just happened to be in the area and this was close to a tesla supercharger which we needed, so decided to eat here. I requested to switch my lemonade to a Pepsi, which took 20 minutes mind you, my mother had gotten her meal (clam chowder bowl) before me, which is fine, but it took nearly an hour for my meal (Chicken Parmigiana). Food wasn't as expected, not to sound to dramatic but it did feel as if we were eating frozen food. The manager was very kind and so helpful.
