This was my third and FINAL visit to BJ's in Victorville, and it somehow managed to be even worse than the previous two times. The service here is absolutely the worst I've experienced anywhere. You basically seat yourself and then... nothing. No one comes to your table. Not for water, not for menus, not to take your order. You just sit there like an idiot waiting while servers walk right past you. It's happened every single time I've gone. The second time I came I was so fed up I left no tip at all (which I almost never do). This time? I didn't even bother waiting around. After 15+ minutes with zero acknowledgment, I just walked out. I've been here multiple times and really enjoy the atmosphere there are plenty of TVs, and the environment is relaxed with no issues of people acting out. Customer service is generally good as well. I've visited with larger groups of 8 and 6, as well as by myself. When I'm alone, everything tends to go smoothly. However, in larger groups, orders often get mixed up. For example, a burger ordered without cheese and tomato came with both and was missing lettuce. A steak requested well done came out pink. Chili beans were served as clam chowder, which I only noticed because of the color difference. I also asked for plain vanilla ice cream with no toppings, but it came with chocolate syrup. It seems like they focus on standard menu items and don't always accommodate modified orders accurately. That said, the food itself is always well cooked, presented nicely, and tastes good. The main issue is the consistency with larger group orders, which sometimes causes people to receive the wrong items and not eat at the same time. read more

We have decided to be done with this location, while I do understand the predicted wait times are predicted, the reservations shouldn't be, we were seated 45 minutes after our reservation, drink orders and appetizer were taken and brought fast, and our food order was placed fast, yet with only for people we waited over an hour for our food, and watched another table get up and leave before their food arrived. When the food finally showed they not only brought the wrong pizza, but my wife's steak that was ordered rare had zero pink, and when asked about it the server was rude, made a comment that it is healthier overcooked a d then said she could replace it but we would have to wait a out 30 minutes. Stopped into BJ's Pizza for pizza and beers. The pizza itself was solid--fresh, well-cooked, and exactly what you'd expect from BJ's. No complaints there. Where this place misses the mark is the beer selection. Despite advertising a huge beer lineup, most of the taps were taken up by less popular or niche options, while the beers people actually order were unavailable. Several popular beers were simply not on tap, which was surprising given how much they promote their beer program. If you're coming strictly for pizza, you'll likely be satisfied. But if you're expecting a wide on-tap beer selection to match the hype, it may fall short. Hopefully this improves, because the food side is already doing its job. read more

I like the food at BJ's restaurant. They have a good gluten-free pizza. Their service is usually pretty good. My reason for only giving three stars is that twice I've had trouble paying my bill through there I think it's a QR code system. And I've been there twice specifically the one on Amargosa I cannot possibly be the only one that's ever had a problem and especially since it's happened twice yeah we'll probably go there again at some point. This review is a reminder where not to go, especially in Victorville. I was in town for work and the group decided to go to BJ's restaurant. I glanced over the menu and decided to go with their combination style pizza. A coworker ordered the chips and salsa and guacamole. First off, my soda was flat. Does no one check the calibration? My coworkers chips and salsa and guacamole came out. I must say the chips and salsa were good, but whoever poured the chips onto the tray poured the very last amount that was in the bag because there was nothing but small broken pieces. Ridiculous. If you're gonna serve chips, salsa, make sure the chips are full-size and not the bottom of the bag. My coworker had to tell the waiter about this issue and luckily they brought out a small bowl of chips. Please BJ, don't go easy with that small bowl of full-size chips. Now let's talk about my pizza. I love me some pizza. This pizza that I was given, was ridiculous. Lacked flavor. The pie crust was dry. I seriously only tasted the crust and I did not taste any toppings I had two slices and stopped. I should have just went to my hotel room and ate salami and cheese that I had. That would've saved me $30. I ended up taking the pizza to go and giving it to the homeless person that was on the sidewalk. House Wedge Salad (4): Can't go wrong with a quarter of iceberg drenched in ranch. No issues. BJ's Favorite (3): This is normally one of our go-to pizza's here. It's basically your supreme in a deep dish format. Normally it comes out piping hot and is moist throughout. Ours didn't meet that standard. The pie was warm but wasn't piping hot and the crust was somewhat dry. Tavern-cut pizza (3.5): This one was actually really good. Came out piping hot and the toppings were good. This was our first time getting tavern-cut though and it was smaller than expected. Good thin crust in a flatbread format, but just small. Chocolate Chip Pizookie (5): When executed well, this is our favorite dessert. They executed it well. Chewy cookie. Melted chocolate. Contrast with ice cream. Always amazing. Put it in front of kids and it disappeared quickly. Beers (4): Almost always on point. Can't go wrong with their own brews. We're definitely fans of BJ's and have frequented many different establishments. We just happened to be in the area and this was close to a tesla supercharger which we needed, so decided to eat here. We order through their website for delivery typically. Tonight, my son and I both ordered med well burgers. His was well done and mine was boarding rare. I also had ordered grilled onions. Following a refreshing starter of Enlightened Seared Ahi Salad, that had very fresh Ahi, an entree of New Orleans Jambalaya was presented with few Cajun spice droppings around the bowl, just as I had asked. I also tested a Cup of Chili, which I found to be very good--not too spicy but still with a nice kick. And a Bowl of Clam Chowder was floury and filled with potatoes and chunks of clam. Diane liked her Classic Prime Rib Dip with ample au jus for dipping, and double French Fries. But the French Fries were rather ordinary. Service by Mindy G. was praiseworthy. Soy Sauce was quickly brought for the Ahi Salad upon request. And booth seating was quite comfortable. We will definitely return. read more

We came here as a last minute decision to get out as a family of 4. We expected a wait on a Sunday night but only waited 15 minutes. We noticed that our area was seated with a lot of new customers at once. As a server I knew oh man this might be awhile due to over seating a server at once. I requested to switch my lemonade to a Pepsi, which took 20 minutes mind you, my mother had gotten her meal (clam chowder bowl) before me, which is fine, but it took nearly an hour for my meal (Chicken Parmigiana). Food wasn't as expected, not to sound to dramatic but it did feel as if we were eating frozen food. The manager was very kind and so helpful. I don't recall her name, but she came on her own, we didn't even complain beforehand until she approached us. We were starving, so this place definitely hit the spot. It's a chain restaurant with consistently decent quality food and lots of options. It's near the end of restaurant row in Victorville, and seemed to be a bit less crowded than some of the other restaurants (we accidentally went into Chili's and it was completely packed!). We came on a Saturday evening and were told that the wait would be 25-30 minutes, but the bar area was open seating. Luckily we found enough seats at the bar for our group. The server wasn't the most attentive -- seemed like she was quite busy, but waiting a bit to place our order beats waiting to get seated. We found out that because of the football game, they had happy hour prices all night, so we were able to get their BJ beers for happy hour prices as well as the chips and dips appetizer. I didn't realize that the chips had the option of salsa and guac OR cheese sauce. The picture is misleading - looks like you get all 3... We ended up ordering the salsa and guac. We were famished so it felt like forever before our the chips and dip arrived. The guac seemed freshly made because the guac was really chunky and could have been mashed a bit more, but tasty. However, all of us preferred the really smokey salsa. Delicious! For food, I ordered a BJs special pizza (basically comes with all of the good toppings) and my friend ordered a burger with avocado, with onion rings. They were really stingy on the onion rings, considering the fact that they upcharged for it. The burger was very good! The patty had a smokey, charred flavor and I loved the brioche bun. I had a bite. I also tried someone's fries, and those were perfectly crispy and with little bits of extra batter for extra crunch! Delicious! Pizza was solid as usual. And quite filling and large. The sharable has provided 2 meals for me already and I still have left overs. I appreciated that their pizza racks had magnets on them to keep the hot pizza on the elevated rack, so it reduces the chance of the hot pizza getting knocked over. Came here after church with my friend and we went straight to the bar area to get seated. Our waiter was Jeremy this time around who had great customer service and kept us laughing the whole time, checked on us for any refills, and was a very attentive to us and made it really enjoyable. As for as the food, I got the California chicken club sandwich with fries. I enjoyed my sandwich. The portions are perfect. I did end up taking a to go box but it was a perfect lunch. Sandwich came out hot. The fries were well done and crispy. My friend got the classic ribeye with fries. And she mentioned it was cooked to her liking and her fries were also the right amount of salty. LOL. Whatever that means I'm guessing they were good because she finished them all and took some of her steak home. I have the rewards and was surprised when Jeremy told us I had a free Pizookie so we definitely enjoyed that for our dessert. Don't expect good service here if you're a big party. My friends and I walked in here around 9:30pm on a SATURDAY NIGHT and immediately had bad service. They had to "find someone" to take our party. Then when we were finally seated it took our server Alex, 20 minutes to even acknowledge us & give us some water. When he finally arrived he had a recognizable attitude and annoyed demeanor. Simple tasks like topping off water was a chore to him & after he'd do it he'd go to another server & complain by using gestures related to the task he just did. Way to make your customers feel welcomed! We're from Vegas so we are used to high quality customer service but this just was not it. It wasn't even mediocre with him & the surrounding staff. Stopped by while traveling through town. Sat in bar area for Happy hour. Food & drinks: several of the appetizers are available on the happy hour menu and very reasonably priced. Our group shared the spinach-artichoke dip, and the avocado rolls. Both were very tasty and priced well. The tortilla chips were very light and crunchy. You could easily fill up on these. There was also a happy hour dinner menu. Had a few entrées available for about $13. Includes a Pazooki dessert Our group had several of the beers on tap. There were no complaints. The happy hour Margarita was one of the worst margaritas I have ever had. It was a watered down concoction. I don't even know if it had any type of tequila in it. I will Never order again. Probably better off paying full price for a regular margarita. Service: our server did a great job. He was attentive, but not overbearing.
