Wow. This place has taken a huge drop in quality since the last time I was here. I don't completely get the idea of the restaurant being split down the middle, but aside from the hostess being confused on where we needed to sit, it didn't impact our experience. We were seated quick, received bread and drinks, and then we waited. After about 10 mins we were able to place our food order, thankfully we ordered an appetizer too because otherwise we'd likely have starved. First we ran out of bread and oil and waited... and waited... the waitress would appear to apologize and tell us she'd check on our food, but she'd walk away before we could ask for refills or more bread. This continued for exactly 1 hour and 20 mins. Finally I had one refill on my drink and we were given more bread. One loaf was soft and warm and the other was cold and rock hard. Another 10 mins later and ONE plate came. I imagined that they likely only had one chef who could make just one plate at a time... because we received our food one plate at a time over a 20 min period. There was no explanation, just multiple apologies and promises to check on our food. It truly didn't make sense because there were only 2-3 other tables on a weekday. The silverware was mostly dirty, there were flies and little bugs hovering around our table, and the nearly 2 hour wait was ridiculous. I had the privilege to be waited on by Angie and she did a spectacular job! She make sure my drinks were always topped off a she made sure I was comfortable. There wasn't too many people when I was at the restaurant so the establishment was clean and tidy. The down hill part was the food. I've tasted better frozen food than what I was served here today. The bread was hard and felt like they put it into the microwave to give the illusion of "freshly baked bread" and the meat on top of my pasta had a horrible during and after taste. I took 3 bites of the lasagna before I decided to spit it out. I didn't ask for a box to go and I had plenty of food on my plate. If you enjoy mid food then this is your spot! read more

Before I go on you need to know about the manager named Denise. Very rude and won't let you bring in a birthday cake because it's "outside food items." We arrived and the rude manager yelled at us from across the room about the birthday cake we were carrying. I couldn't talk to her about it because she was far away and then disappeared. We waited 15 minutes for an empty table that we saw open immediately upon arrival. Then we waited another 15 minutes to even talk to a server. Our server came and saved the day. She was the nicest most understanding and efficient server I've seen in a long time. She was Johnny on the spot from start to finish. I did end up talking to the general manager who was understanding, reasonable, and accommodating to say the very least. He turned my feeling around about this place. The food was great, the decor was as can be expected from a Johnny casinos. The are doing major reconstruction but that never became an issue after 6pm. read more

The "grilled" chicken that was on top of my daughter's pasta looked like it was boiled, sliced, then stepped on before just throwing it on a plate. The meatball sub was laughable. The service is horrible here. Food is great but the poor service makes you not want to go back. They act like they're doing you a favor by serving you. Management is at fault as we've dealt with them directly and they are rude. An ad went out for the wrong price so we showed the ad and said the price they were charging us was incorrect. They said that the ad went out in error and they would honor it THIS time but "just so you know, in the future, the price will be the higher price". The food is good. The restaurant is clean and the service staff are attentive. We come here for many of our family celebrations.

Poor service. Server asked us to cash out or transfer check before first bite . We did so and we were only checked on once by her before she left . dishes on the end of the table for 25 minutes six servers on the floor all standing around talking. No offer for second beverage or dessert. Female servers look sloppy with long hair down is a turn off !! Seemed like an area director was here doing business. I wish I would have caught him before he left . Eight gals enjoyed a birthday celebration for our 94 year old friend today. The manager and our server Zanne were very accommodating. The quality of the food, the flavor and the portion sizes were very good. I think the menu could be a bit smaller. Why? I'd hate to see corporate close the place because they aren't making enough profit. I've had several friends in Vegas that have had their restaurants closed with no notice or very short notice. It's all about the bottom line. I think the exterior of the building needs attention. It's way too nondescript. Boring on restaurant row probably isn't in their best interest. Maybe that's why this was the first time I've been there and I've lived here for many years. I don't believe I've seen any advertising for the restaurant. Either way, I would highly recommend it over Olive Garden. I hope they hang around for another 20 some years. read more

Before Covid Johnny Carinos was open at 11am. Then during Covid, they started opening at 11:30am. Alot of places had staffing issues during that time so it was understandable. Since Covid this location has never recovered to its former self and today when we showed up at 11:30, we were shocked to discover that they now open at 11:45. We decided to go to the restaurant next door instead which now opens at 10:45. I don't think we'll bother with Johnny Carinos again. There is a reason why their parking lot is empty. read more

Okay so we are locals but have avoided this place for about 4 years following two horrible experiences. We decided tonight to give it a final try and we were pleasantly surprised! The service was good, the food for a chain Italian restaurant was very good. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer and they were very good. I don't know what happened tonight, we have eaten at Carino's many times, but tonight was the worst experience we ever had there. I'm pretty sure our server was new, she was completely lost. She struggled with taking our orders, she had to ask her manager for help more than once. He didn't seem to be much help! After finally getting our food ordered , we waited quite a while for it to come out. To our surprise they brought out our meals before our appetizer and our salads. When we received our salads they were with the wrong dressings. And the appetizer of calamari was tiny, it was literally 8 small pieces and rubbery. My food had to be sent back, the chicken on the chicken Parmesan was so overcooked I couldn't cut through it and again the portions were tiny. As a server I would have been embarrassed to serve what they served us. There were only 4 of us in our party, the restaurant wasn't very busy and it took over 2hours to get through this service. Then we had to ask for our bill because we were more than ready to leave.
