This place never has enough help. I had to search for a cart myself in the parking lot this evening. There is one person on the checkout line and she's going the best she can and the line is long. Shopping here is a nightmare due to their lack of care when it comes to scheduling more employees. Every time I go which is every weekend it's always busy and they have one person scheduled. I feel terrible for the employees because the good ones(very few) get little to no compensation for how hard they work and I believe they should be appreciated more. I hope these review reaches who it needs to because this store is poorly managed and needs better care from all angles. read more

I'm so torn. Most of the time I order ahead and my pick up order is ready almost immediately. Yesterday I went to buy cold cuts and there was no one at the counter. I asked the gentleman behind the counter if they had smoked Gouda. He said no, but you can look on the shelves. I said, OK, and proceeded to order a pound of turkey breast. He looked at me and said you have to take a number. Another gentleman had walked up behind me while this was happening, and we looked at each other because it was clearly no one else standing there until then, but me. I asked him if he was serious and he said yes, in case you didn't notice I was in the middle of something. I said no I'm sorry I didn't because I'm too short to see over the counter, and I don't have my glasses on. He proceeded to go back to doing whatever he was doing. I said OK that's fine. I'll go speak to the manager. Thank you. I ran into Matt the manager who I asked for help in finding something, and I did mention to him what happened and that I was upset by it. I also mentioned to Matt that the gentleman that was rude to me is usually very nice. There has never been an instance where anybody behind the deli counter was less than helpful other than a woman that is no longer working there. There was no reason for him to be so rude. He could have just said he would be right with me. From now on, I will probably order my cold cuts ahead, but after reading the reviews about that, I might just go somewhere else for them. Stopped in to get a few things on my way back to Manhattan. Your typical BJ's in the suburbs. It's okay but nothing super spectacular or special. It's also located on a one way road in a busy area so be aware of that. It is convenient to the LIRR at least. read more

I'm not sure why this store has such low reviews, we shop here regularly and we're in and out, friendly staff, great selection. This is the 3rd year we've gotten our daughters bday cake from BJs in Bellport and everyone rants and raves about how delicious it is! Dear associates of BJ's Wholesale Club, I spent all fortnight considering making this review, but the weight of the managers actions have struck my heart too deep, leaving me unable to not announce my concerns. While parading my local BJ's Wholesale Club, and conversing with your associates while buying my beloved nacho cheese in a grotesque amount of bulk, I cultivated the knowledge that the managers forget to give their employees breaks. Now per my socialist agenda, I a heavily devoted Karl Marx enthusiast was appalled by the information. This abomination of workers rights to a break and to Karl Marx left me no choice to voice my concerns. Need to be very careful with the cashiers that will ring up your staff there because there are one and two of them that will keep $10 gift cards on the side of the cash register ring them up put them back on the side and then you pay for it happened to me my daughter and my next-door neighbor at separate times when complain to customer service they said they will check into it two months later she still working there when questioned her on about it she simply said oh I thought that was yours to myself my daughter and my neighbor every time it happened be very careful customer service and cashiers are all friends there it seems and they all hate the customers and I guess hate working there or something keep your eyes wide open and always check your receipt for a extra purchase of a gift card read more

Customer service is bad here! Also their new app is horrible and pointless! I added several coupons to the mobile app and I was logged In with my account # and showed the clerk at the start of the transaction. The clerk said "oh you have to print out coupons. We don't take digital coupons." I said wait, so I need to waste paper and this app is also useless? To which she answered "I guess. I don't know." Why would you have a mobile app that you cannot add coupons to? Your company needs to Get a clue from other apps that actually work before launching this. Staff should be retrained too. read more

REALLY needs to get themselves together. Not sure the point of ordering deli meat ahead on the app because it is never ever ready anyway. Ordering meat or deli meat curbside is charged wrong on the receipt. They corrected it, but I'm never going to attempt it again. Love this Bjs. Very convenient since I live in Bellport. Good bang for your buck. They accept manufacture coupons. Offer their own coupons too. Staff are friendly and helpful. If you are having a dinner party they have a lot of premade platters and bakery items. The offer all the good brands and usually offer similar items at cheaper prices if you buy their brands. The always have promos for their memberships on Groupon, living social or via mail postings. They have a HUGE parking lot. They are right off sunrise highway so if your heading out east it's an easy pit stop. Last but not least ..., THEY HAVE DUNKIN DONUTS NOW! Excuse my excitement but I have been waiting for one to pop up that doesn't delay my morning travel to work and here pops this gem. All and all a good bjs. Happy Yelping :) read more

I've been to a lot of BJ's and I must say this one gets first place on all categories! The place is always clean, every time I go I see the nice lady on the machine cleaning the floor. Everything is always where it should be and the layout flows perfectly. The staff is wonderful. The people that run the food sampler stations ask you to try more and always have plenty out to sample. The guy at the deli and I always talk shop regarding football (he loses points for not being a Giants fan). I have my favorite cashier also that talks to me about her school and what's going on in her life. I mean this BJ's makes me feel like I matter when I shop. It's not easy to bring together such a strong friendly ensemble of characters in one store, but the Manager there deserves a lot of credit! My hat goes off to that Manager for the tools used in the recruiting process. Finally its location is perfect! Right after I leave the gym I stop in to do my shopping, in the past I drove to Riverhead. Now I get everything done in one shot. Needless to say I save a lot on gas. If you haven't been there yet give it a try. They do also offer great coupons for huge savings. read more

Opened August of 2014. Great location for trips out the Hamptons, hopped right on and off at exit 56. Good selection, Nice layout, Staff was attentive. I find BJ's prices better than Costco, too. Needed addition to the Far East South Shore. read more

I'm completely dissatisfied with a former club I belonged to. BJs whole sale is a joke that falsely advertises to their customers. I went in to buy a mattress and box spring set advertised with a manufacturer cupon for 100 dollars off...still a $299 purchase. I started in riverhead where they searched the store and found no box spring to sell with the mattress. Then I tried bellport who also had no box spring for the mattress. They tell me they will be getting a shipment of mattress one month then box springs the next. Who wants to wait 2 months to get a mattress and box spring to sleep on when they advertise the SET? Then I call corporate to see if they can keep a customer and the only thing they could do was look up locations that have the set upstate New York and tell me it's the club's fault when the club blames corporate. Needless to say I have terminated my membership and will deal with a competitor that will appreciate my business as a customer. If you have a BJs membership I recommend you open your eyes to what they are doing to you and if you dont like they way they are treating you as a customer CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP. My mother is a secondary member on my business account. My membership expired on 5/31/18 and I renewed on 6/3/18 in Fayetteville, NC. I renewed my mother's FREE membership on my card at the same time. My mother visited your store and you told her that the card was expired and required her to pay for a new membership and took her card for the membership I pay for. It is unfortunate that you felt the need to take someone's money that actually had a membership and then confiscate their membership card that they still held. Shame on BJ's for carrying out that poor business practice. I will be calling BJ's tomorrow to complain about your store's actions. read more

This was my first time shopping here and I love it! Normally, I shop at Costco due to a family member's membership add-on. But as a vegan that lives by herself, my options are limited there. They don't have too many things that I need/want to buy in bulk. However, BJ's has so many more options for me! Multiple kinds of veggie burgers/protein, etc. They also have items in multiple flavors, where Costco will only carry one kind. My most favorite part about this BJ's is how much more slow paced it is. I make it a rule to never go to Costco on the weekends because the place is an absolute zoo. I went to BJ's on a Saturday around 3p and the pace was much more reasonable. Definitely required the typical maneuvering of carts around people and families but I don't feel like I'm going to get run over if I stop to look at an item. Best of all, reasonable check out time, only about 1 minute wait. And no parking lot madness. AND they have COUPONS! Definitely a fan! read more

I was out running errands with my mother here. I dress alternatively, but mostly, people treat me the same as anybody else. Except there was the cashier named Kerrith who thought it was oh-so-hilarious that I was wearing a basic black choker with an O-ring--most alt fashion enthusiasts have one, it's just a staple accessory. He glanced at my neck, his eyes lit up and then urgently tried to get his co-worker's attention. Feeling a bit self-conscious at the sudden gawkery, I pulled my shirt collar over the ring. He glanced back around at me, then told his friend "nevermind". Oh, Kerrith, you Little Douchebaggy. I was looking right at you, why wouldn't I notice? Did you want to have a snigger at the kinky chick with your friend? Sorry, I'm not a kinky chick, I'm not an exhibit, and I'm definitely not stupid.  Show a little more class and respect towards other people regardless of what they're wearing. First time shopping at this location and it will be my last. I went in to purchase groceries and while browsing the gift certificate rack I picked up a regal movie theater pass. I was unaware the cashier was responsible for providing me the tickets once the transaction was completed. I went home and realized the following morning I had no movie passes. Came back to claim my missing movie passes to which I was advised they needed to check the cameras. I was held up 40 minutes, all this time just to allow them to review camera footage to confirm I didn't go home with the passes. I felt terrible and judged. It was a great inconvenience and not one apology was offered from the staff of management. read more

If you have a service dog, I would avoid BJ's in Bellport at all costs, unless you want to stopped at the door, screamed at interrogated and made to feel like a trespassing piece of garbage. My service dog was properly attired in his service vest with his tag prominently in view. The stress and embarrassment of this altercation, caused me to suffer a seizure, which effectively ended my beautiful Saturday afternoon of running errands with my husband. read more

Nice layout, clean, wonderful staff. I called to verify that an item I needed to purchase was in stock, and asked if I should apply online first for credit as this was how I wanted to pay. The customer service rep I spoke with told me to do it while at the store since if approved it was instant credit. When I got there unfortunately it seemed that the credit was not an option at that time in store due to a change over in their credit cards. The store manager gave me a $25 gift card for the inconvenience. That gesture went a long way in securing I would be a return customer. Great job! read more
