I've been a member of BJ's Wholesale Club for years, so I was very disappointed by the customer service I received today. I purchased an item whose price did not match the signage displayed in the store. I brought the discrepancy to the cashier's attention, but he completely ignored my concern. Hoping for a better resolution, I completed the purchase and went to the customer service desk. The customer service representative accompanied me to the aisle, saw both the item and the posted sign, yet still refused to honor the displayed price or offer any adjustment. Even if the signage was placed in error, I expected some effort to resolve the issue or at least acknowledge the mistake. Instead, the item remained at the higher price listed in their system, and the incorrect signage was not removed. This experience was frustrating and disappointing. Be sure to shop carefully, verify prices before purchasing, and always check your receipt. read more

Absolutely amazing customer Service from the greeters to the deli. Standout was the bakery. They made a cake for a work celebration and everyone ranted and raved not only how good the cake was but the design. They went above and beyond. We even called to leave a message for a manager on how satisfied we were. So happy to patronize this location. read more

If you like being harassed while shopping, then go here. As soon as you walk in a lady trying to get you to switch to Verizon approaches you. Then she follows you around. There are people down the isles trying to sell you stuff, some are very aggressive and give you an attitude when you say "no thank you". Then when you go to pay, another guy working with the original lady approaches you again. When I said I already told her "no thank you", he made a huff, rolled his eyes and said "ok big guy", in a condescending tone. I had a terrible experience at BJ's Deli. On thursday 01/02, I wanted to place an order for an event I'm hosting on Saturday 01/04. The clerk was completely prejudiced, she barely acknowledge me at all but was sweet and friendly with everyone else. She made me fill out a form, had me leave it at the counter, but never took it. When I returned to pick up my order on Saturday, it turned out it never even went through. Unprofessional and disappointing. Never coming back. Management should train employees on how to treat everyone equally! read more

I just wanted to give a huge shoutout to Carol in Customer Service at the Commack NY Store.I originally purchased a Blackstone 4-burner griddle and when I took it home, both the cover and sticker with the serial number was missing. I would not have been able to register the griddle.My wife reached out to the store the next day and Carol went above and beyond by making sure we not only had one reserved, but she opened up the box of the new one to make sure we had everything we needed. Went twice. First time I saw a a dirty looking man take off his dirty looking shoes and socks and put them in a shoebox then take the new shoes from the box and put them on and walk towards the entrance, I told an associate (who didn't seem to care) and told them that they would need to clean the area. Second time ( yep I went back...fool me twice) to just get applesauce for my kids lunch box. There were small roaches crawling all over the boxes. Sometimes there's too many empty shelves. For this to be a warehouse... point blankd the shelves need to be restocked at this location. There are barely employees walking around to help customers. Here we go again, When BJs open up last year they had a promotion to join for 1 year for $25 Dollar's so i thought i give it a try and was told if i like it i will get bill to continue, well without notice they charge my card $59.74 right after !2 midnight new years morning along with the 100 plus other customers i was told, well went to BJs in Commack that morning to tell them i like a refund and charge it back to my card and was told that they can't and i would have to call their main Head Quarters in Massachusetts 1-800-257-2582 guess what i called and where was i calling South America Colombia again and was told i had to wait 10 to 15 Days for refund so those who think this Store is great have fun trying to get a refund.. read more

We took a day trip to Deer Park on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving which was the perfect time to go before the holiday shopping rush began. There was no food court in this location unless it was closed due to covid. The place was definitely less crowded. There were obviously no food sampling. There were indicators at checkout where people stand to indicate social distancing of 6 feet. In addition the staff was working at 50% capacity. Overall, this would be the perfect day and time to visit and shop. read more

This place is cheap only for few things. If you are not aware of those things,you are gonna get pretty much the same.price as other retailers. I like to buy three things from here mainly... 1.. bread..is always fresh and is very cheap as.compared to other retailers. 2.79 for two breads...are you kidding me... 2.. butter..Wesley butter 10.99 for 4 cakes(16 sticks) while retailers sell it for 4.99 3.. bagels..13 for $2.99 So guys love it for these otherwise they are few more things...will update when I would buy.. read more

We joined here basically to get deals on soda and water for our wedding this July. We are getting married at a barn, and have to provide EVERYTHING you could possibly imagine. So, when we received a mail offer for a year membership for $25, we said I do! I mean, why not? This place is HUGE. There are some good offers to be had, but the selection on the healthier/organic options isn't as great. They might have two varieties of the Kashi cereal, two varieties of Cascadian Farms brand, only one kind of "healthy" cookie... What is good about this place is that they will take manufacturer coupons on top of their prices. They also have coupon books where you can get additional savings. Why not just have the lowest price? Be a friend to the environment, instead of wasting paper and ink. I have found them to have the lowest price on a few things, such as almond milk. Be a thrifty shopper and do your research. I feel like you can't leave here spending less than $50. Also, the photo taken of me for my "inner circle" card is probably worse than my 6th grade yearbook photo. Conveniently located near the outlets for a fun way to kill an afternoon. Friendly service inside as well, with plenty of parking. read more

I've been going to these stores for years now but god has it become unbearable stepping foot especially after a long day and having these so called "promoters" for AT&T right by the entrance. This past year has gotten too far and whoever is in charge of their staff for Commack and deer park BJ's sounds like a terrible person. I avoid as much as possible the sections they hang around but in the occasions I haven't or needed something from there it's always kids in oversized dress clothes hassling people who clearly don't wanna be spoken to. They have no regards to you saying you're busy and will try to take control of the conversations by distracting you with your personal life or questions on why you wouldn't want their service. I'm well aware everyone needs to make a living but this is far much more than just some kids wanting to sell and make money. It's uncomfortable to observe or hear how they speak about their manager, which doesn't seem to be related to BJ's but rather a third party manager. From what I've picked up on he's quite literally abusing verbally or mentally and harassing the kids who work for him. It's just simply unacceptable, how is there not better work regulations for these kids who are in their early 20s. They're being manipulated right before their eyes and over exhausted from what I've heard on more than one occasion from multiple people through the last year. I have nothing against marketing and understand the concepts between consumer and business but the way these people work is not ok. read more

It is a BIG, NEW, BJs! The inside is a generic floor layout just like most other BJ's on Long Island & Queens. The shopping style is BULK sizes items and cool seasonal stuff. The B&J brands are good too and at lower prices compared to name brand items. There is no crowds at the times I've been here. May be because this store is new. An annoyance- the deli department closes earlier than the store! Don't make the mistake like me and visit the deli last. I like Bjs. It seems less crowded than madhouse Costco (at least whenever I go). Bjs has a few of my must buys that other places don't. The veggie platter I bought had a crack in the dip container which I didn't see until after I got home and opened the container. Leaked out onto everything. I was so annoyed bc now I have to return it bc I don't know how long it's been cracked. I do hate having to keep my receipt out for them to check my cart as I leave. People walk so slow heading out! It is BJ's Wholesale. It's the same as the other BJ's Wholesale Clubs. All of them look similar. Not crazy about the membership fee because most of the prices are not that cheap IMHO. If you have to pay a $50 membership to shop at BJ's, I expect lower prices. I do like this location because I can stop at BJ's after I shop at the outlets and pick up some food items for the work week. You will find a good coupon, once in a while....but is it worth the membership? IMHO I don't think so. read more

They seem to have done away with the whole food court . I was shocked to see that the entire snack bar had been torn down. When I asked , I was told that it "wasn't making enough money". This is the only wholesale place in the country probably that does not have this service, which , after all, is a convenience for the CUSTOMERS who obviously are not important to this particular BJs. I have been having so much trouble with there customer service people, so incompetent! I keep calling and sending emails with NO help or response to this easy fix. This is the last email that I sent to corporate yesterday with still no response or acknowledgement. My God were to begin. This all started when your company automatically renewed my membership. On March 1, 2020 my Bjs's credit card was billed $116.80. As soon as I received my bill I called to inquire as to why I was charged $116.80 instead of the $55 for our membership. I was informed that I was upgraded to Elite membership, I stated that I did not request this or authorize it. I explained that I wanted to be put back to the Inner Circle Membership and for you to return the $61 dollar over charge to my credit card. I was told that this will be done. The next month when my bill came there was NO credit. so I called again on 4/30/20 spoke to James he said that he issued the refund. I call my credit card company a few days later and they show no credit. So I call yet again on 5/9/20 spoke to maracol she too states that a refund will be issued and should take 7 to 10 days to show on card. 5/11/20 my husband goes to shop has everything on the belt to be told that our membership has expired. Needless to say he was angry and embarrassed! So I call yet again on the 5/11/20 and spoke to a Collie at this point I demand to speak to a supervisor, she informs me that one will call me back within 24 hours. No I did not get the curtesy of a call back!! Now I am furious i sit on hold for 3 HOURS on 5/12/20 from 6-9 waiting to have my call answered with NO answer. 5/13/20 yes you guessed it I call again to be informed that a supervisor will call me back, and wow the next day Wednesday I actually got a call from Freddy to be informed that he needs until Friday to come up with a resolution, Yup you guessed it again NO CALL from Freddy. I can not believe the amount of promises not kept and the total incompetency of your customer service department is. So on Sunday 5/17/20 I call my credit card company again to see if there is a credit. No there is not!! so you have my money and canceled my membership. I am sooo upset and call your customer service again and was told a supervisor will call me back in 1 hour!!! I stayed home all day waiting for this call. But was not surprised when it didn't come. So what are you going to do about this. I also emailed your customer service and never received a response back from them either. I SURELY HOPE THAT I CAN GET THIS CLEARED UP AND GET SOME SATISFACTION FROM THIS ORDEAL. Please respond by email or by calling me at my office during business hours to 000-00-0000. Big and clean! Adjacent to the Tanger outlets. Since it was during the week it was not as crowded as it typically gets which is a plus. Even though it is bulk the prices still seem high considering it's supposed to be a bargain. Just me? A couple of things did irritate me during my visit: --We were approached 2 different times by employees who were asking "If you own a home and were going to re-do something which would you do first...?" Clearly, a scheme to get you involved in something and we found it obnoxious. --One of the staff that was serving samples was going a little nutty.."I don't know why you're over there running you're mouth....". I didn't know who she was talking to and I didn't want to find out so I skipped that sample and continued on my way. A good thing: --I stopped to get a hot dog (with sauerkraut) on my way out and the staff member there was very friendly, helpful and funny. The food stand is always my favorite part of visiting these wholesale places. Large hot dog with sauerkraut + soda ~$1.50! FYI: I am not sure if the prices are comparable when compared to Costco but as far as paying with credit, apparently BJ's takes all major credit cards whereas Costco only accepts their own brand of credit card. read more

First time at this location - needed new tires and figured it would be cool to drop off car and walk to outlets to kill time instead of waiting. Hours posted say 9am and it's almost 10am - no one is at the tire center, nor does any employee or customer service rep know when or if their open. At this point, I should receive a discount for their inaccurate or lack of employee guarantee in this department they promote so highly. Giving them 5 more minutes then splitting to another location as it's getting late in the day. avoid if you can for this department and service as they seem unreliable. read more

I only go to BJs to buy water in bulk, fish and books. Sounds like a weird combination I know but I don't find them to have great deals in comparison to other grocery stores for things other than those items. If you do the math, sometimes you are spending much more at BJs. Buying in bulk doesn't always mean you're getting a good deal. I do save money however on the water, the books are always cheaper here than they are at Barnes and Noble or Target and the fish is ALWAYS fresh. read more

The Customer Service staffs and Supervisor/ Manager don't want to allow me to return 2 dead orchids I bought from BJs, citing COVID19 policy. I insisted and questioned them about their return policy that was not even stipulated in the receipt that orchids cannot be returned and they want to kick me out of the line at the Customer Service to serve other customers after me in the line... I really like BJ's! The store! :) This particular one is great because it's less than a mile from home, right next to Tanger Outlets as well as Stop and Stop and is relatively new. It's a wholesale club so it's comparable to other wholesale clubs. The thing I like about BJ's is that they take manufacturer's coupons and my VISA credit card. I used to go to Costco but they only take AMEX, which I don't have. The thing I don't like about BJ's is that I have to specifically clip their own coupons. Costco did away with this, which was ultra convenient not to mention cleaner and greener. In the shopping carts at BJ's you can usually find leftover coupons strewn about that other people didn't use. And when there's too many, it just looks messy. I also found their customer service to be very friendly and helpful. I just wish they had a gas station like some of the other BJ's and I would probably be here every week! read more

Zero stars! This has been the absolute worst customer service experience ever! I ordered a smoker online and received it broken. I have now been emailing and calling BJs for over three weeks. Last email response I received was someone telling me they would require 3 business days for the internal team to look into it. It's been over a week with zero contact on their end. Last Sunday night I placed an order for my father's surprise birthday party cake to be picked up Sunday, July 14 at 9:30am. I got a confirmation number & I thought the website glitched because it said to keep placing order. I called on Monday & asked to speak to the bakery dept, a woman with a very heavy accent said they don't check the online orders. I said I was going to come Sunday & there would be no cake? I asked if there was a manager, she said no & HUNG UP on me. I called back & asked to speak to a general manager because that was inappropriate. I spoke with Eric he apologized for the woman's lack of customer service & said the bakery manager is only allowed to check the online orders & was off today. He took down my confirmation number & the exact order of the cake & told me he would put it through the bakery himself & he would call me tomorrow. I called Tuesday at 6:00 since I still received NO phone call, he told me he personally spoke with the bakery manager today & I would be receiving a $10 discount. Sunday 9:30am I ask if the cake is ready. A woman with long dark hair tells me they have NO record of the cake. I said I need this cake, I am having 50 people at my house at 11 o'clock. I called 3 times to confirm that this cake was ordered & would be ready. She gave me an attitude & said I can have a cake ready in 3 minutes I'll even give it to you for free if that's what you want. Now for that snarky comment you are giving me the cake for free. I wanted on the cake "Happy 65th Birthday Pop-Pop Vito" after waiting 25 MINUTES the cake that I ordered is finally handed to me & it says Happy 65th Birthday Pop-Pop. I said it's missing a word. She says I asked for too much & it won't fit & this is all they're giving me. A blonde woman named Judy comes over & says "is this the girl with the cake" (Girl? I'm almost 30, mind you) she said yes, Judy ROLLS HER EYES AT ME & walks away without saying a word. I said now you're definitely giving me the cake for free. The bakery woman tells me to take the cake when I'm done shopping to customer service to get a free sticker for the cake. I bring it to the desk & the guy behind the desk is Tommy. I said hi I'm looking to speak with Judy, he said she's with another customer what can I help you with? I go through the whole story with him, he tells me that's not a problem I apologize yes the cake is on us, I can ring you up here for the rest of your items. Then Rena approaches me out of thin air & says Eric says I can't have the cake for free, it's $10 off. I said I don't know who you are but with the way your store has been treating me the last week, I am not paying a cent for this cake, I don't care what manager you have to get, the order was never placed, what I want on the cake is incorrect & I've been here over a half an hour dealing with nonsense, she walks away & goes back to her register. Tommy, the ONLY person who's being courteous, helpful & polite gets on the walkie-talkie for a few minutes says he is sorry for the confusion, the cake is most definitely free & he will walk with me personally to the front door so the receipt checker doesn't give me a problem. I wanted to say that between the 2 managers, bakery manager and whoever Rena is, the way they handle their customer service is ATROCIOUS, no customer should be treated that way especially when my family has been a BJ's member for a long time! The only one who is helpful was Tommy. I understand it was resolved but the way that 3 people handled the situation was disgusting. read more

This review is for the deli department. I purchased a 3 foot hero for the Super Bowl.We wanted it to be half Italian and half American. They wouldn't accommodate us. The sandwich had very little meat on it and both ends of the hero were completely empty. The cheese was slimy it got wet. I suggest you go else where for your 3 foot hero. Most places offer condiments with the sub they don't. read more

I have completely revised my old review for this BJs. Although it remains a smaller store, it does have many products that it lacked before such as a small clothing and a book section. There just seem to be a lot of more choices . Also, they have started to hand out samples which , because I can walk here, are always fun to have. read more

Although I was told that this BJs would be getting a Dunkin' Donuts , this has not yet happened and they removed the snack bar so there is not place to get a soda. I am not sure why this is the only large store of this type NOT to have a food court. No one seems to know and the workers say that they miss the snack bar also as there is not place to grab a quick bite to eat. Does anyone know why they did this ? read more

The prices are not any better (overall) than you would get at any other big box store, which means that most things are significantly more expensive than if you got them from Target. Not worth going to. Prices aren't that good (when they are marked, which is inconsistent) compared to local produce/food stores. Plus they force you to buy more quantity than you need which results in paying the same or more, per unit, than shopping sale prices at other stores. To add insult to injury, they treat you like a criminal when you leave the store because they stop you to have a minimum wage employee go through the motions of checking your receipt against what is in your cart (they can't really be checking because they do it too quickly to be accurate). Plus they charge a membership fee? No thanks, let all the other suckers shop here. I'll stick with my local markets where I get competitive prices, a pleasant and efficient environment and treated like a valued customer rather than a criminal. read more

Just got my daughter's cake from this location and they ran out of yellow cake and only had marble cake and it was yucky. I have never had an issue before however this time being that it was marble it was gross. The only redeeming fact was that the design was great. read more

I've experienced very long lines, computer glitches that made it impossible to take credit cards and a birthday cake with a typo. Today, all the bottle return machines were not working, and a very prompt and pleasant store clerk told that they would be out for at least 15 more minutes since the woman who takes care of them was "in the back."
