I went today (10/25/17) to get couple of items that I needed at home. I noticed that they had the cheese sliced Cracker Barrel on sale, they also had a coupon, apparently a wonderful idea until I got home. The package was for $6.99 - $2.00 from the coupon, 3 packages of cheese each with 12 slides ( "a good deal"). One of the packages was way !!!! past the selling date and was green. It was disgusting!!!!!!. I will never buy any food in BJ's if it comes with a coupon. They will be probably trying to clean their inventory. read more

Worst store ever at least this location I will never go back in a BJ's again the machines to pay out have no money left then you got to get a receipt and stand on another long line just to leave the store they don't have a lot of things the people that work there are slow the line don't even move they have no clue on what they are doing it's just a horrible store will never go back maybe even to another BJ's. read more

if you are looking for optical services, I don't recommend Paramus optical office. their is no coordination. it took three weeks for me to get my daughter prescriptions. I love BJs Paramus but not their optical office. read more

Gota love BJ's!!! No seriously this place is great, bulk or normal sizes the prices are good and it's not overpacked like Costco and the parking is great. Meat prices aren't the best but other things like veggies and deli make up for it. read more

I've been to way worse BJ's than this one. I like BJ's in general because it accepts manufacturer's coupons and has special membership rate for military families. BJ's has been my go-to for non-perishable groceries, and recently fresh grocery items too. But too bad this location just happens to be at the busiest highway junctions in all Bergen County. And of course, being this is Bergen County, no clothes/electronics are sold on Sundays. read more

BJs in Paramus, NJ has got to be the WORST store in the entire chain! Their return policy sucks. Their selection is horrible. The store is filthy. And their managers should all be fired! Another issue is that I don't carry any cards and use the Keychain app to store all my cards. The idiots in Paramus won't accept that - they say they need a picture. Of course the other stores accept the keychain without a problem. I spend $500-$1,000 every other week. This time I told them where to go and went to the East Rutherford store where they have more friendly staff, better selection, newer computers and no hassle with the cards. read more

In June I made a $197 purchase here, or rather my credit card did. I was 3,000 miles away and have never even been in Paramus. When I called the store, the manager was dismissive and uncooperative, bordering on insulting. His excuse for allowing the fraudulent purchase was that his employees don't have time to check identification during credit card transactions. I wonder what he said to corporate loss prevention when he had to explain the $197 charge back from Mastercard. read more

Today is my first day to go BJ's for membership application and shopping. Within one hour shopping time. My iphone 5s was stolen. I talked the store manager to check the video cam record and get refused. So many years, I always go to Costco, nothing like this happened before. When I walked into Paramus BJ's, there is no serious check for membership. That means anyone can walk in. the management is poor. read more

This is a large and organized BJs location and the lines are shorter than most of the other ones that I have been to. However, they don't sell liquor here (just wine and beer). Other than that, no complaints. read more

Overall the store is great. Wonderful prices, selections, clean, and generally nice staff. However, recently I went to order a cake and the two woman in the bakery department were incredibly rude. So much so, that my 5 year old son even noticed and commented about it. I'm not going to start a scene, especially in front of my kids. But the cake bakery employees made my shopping experience horrible and I will definitely not be ordering cakes from them in the future. read more

This is what happened: I'm at the deli department and there's two people working so here we are in the middle of ordering when the person who is giving us our cold cuts just picks up and leaves so now there is only one person working in the deli now so the other person starts helping us we said thank you everytime she gave us our cold cuts except for the salami because she caught an attitude and said I need every order at once then we were just about to say thank you when she comes out yelling YOUR WELCOME!!! There's a reason the lines are "bearable" and it's not crowded. It doesn't compare to Costco in terms of selection, quality of meats and produce and the prices are not really that great. The only thing going for it is that they accept coupons and if you live close by and don't want to go all the way to the new Costco location in Teterboro. Don't ever buy glasses there. The customer service in the Optical department is horrible. They don't even assist you like other optical stores and it's impossible to get them on the phone to see if the glasses I ordered were ready, after not getting a call past the time they said they would be ready. I've had to call customer service and have someone walk over to see if someone is there. Apparently the Optical department is not "part of BJ's" though they are housed there. read more

Used to be better. Biggest complaint is the lack of price tags and wrong items on shelf under a tag. Lack of price scanners makes it frustrating. Yes u still have to price items due to some items being cheaper at local market for same size etc. have been calling and speaking to manager about the missing prices but still nothing done bout it. Have found they will fill shelf with wrong item specially the frozen vegetables area and if you ask someone to check the freezer to see if they have the correct item I get the come back tomorrow item will be out by then. Had someone that works there yell at me once because I stepped into freezer behind the shelf to take out the correct item. I said the item was not on shelf and shelf filled with wrong item the guy said next time ask I told him I did and was told to come back the next day even though item is within arms reach he just said oh and walked away. Sad they took away the snack area they had awesome sausage and hotdogs. Kids loved the big pretzels. Now they have a lame Dunkin Donuts in its place which seems to be empty every time I shop there. Depending on time of day lines are ok sometimes the self checkout is slower than a manned register. Hope this location does not get any worse. Have shopped at the E. Rutherford location and hope this one does not end up like it. read more
