I haven't been here in a while, but I can tell you that it feels different here. I just came here for perishable items today. Eggs, butter, cheese, and I was hoping ground beef. Ground beef - hamburger meat for goodness sakes. Hamburger meat was almost 6 dollars a pound. For two dollars a pound I picked up the picnic ham instead Other items that they're carrying are complete with every modified chemical under the sun. BJ's and other wholesale box stores have an opportunity to invest in the American people's health. With the volume they commit to, I challenge BJs to insist that manufacturers of snack foods, and cakes, clean up their act. And take the appeal off of fruits and vegetables. I do not shop at their competitor because of their LGBTQ disparagement. BJs to my knowledge still supports diversity and equity. So I will give them my dollars. But they need to stop being complicit in the damage that the food industry is doing to us. We expect more. read more

10/4/25 - this review is for the tire center; in particular the worker there. Although he is alone, and very busy he still is calm, and helpful. Some people would be abrupt or ignore the clientele, not him. Stopped in today to have the wheel lugs retorqued, had new tires put on the car Monday. He working on another car on the lift, he asked me if I could give him a half hour to 45 minutes, and he would do it. I said no problem, if you want me to come back later. Then he said, he's almost done there to give him a couple of minutes and he'll retorque wheels. That's great customer service! He really must enjoy his job, because he tries to get as much done as he possibly can. Unlike some places where they do as little as possible. I only hope the human resources department gets him an assistant before he decides to go elsewhere That would be a major loss for BJ's tire department. read more

Customer service desk is full of excuses. They work very slow. Attempted to get propane. And there's always an excuse, no one available to fill the tanks, it's raining wappingers location is horrible. You get better prices at Costco's and Sam's Club. read more

The management is horrendous, they create problems instead of resolving them. Let's talk about their shopping carts!!! GROSS! I wouldn't let my dog sit in one of their carts because she might catch a germ. If I put her in a shopping cart I make sure she isn't touching the cart! I wouldn't expose her to such filth, that is why she will always sit on a clean cushioned seat not touching the cart! That is my rule because these shopping carts carry more bacteria than a dirty toilet! That's the truth these shopping carts are dirtier than a dirty toilet, children with wet pee and diarrhea diapers sit in their carts and than customers not realizing it put their produce and food in the dirty carts. I've seen kids sitting in the carts with dirty sneakers that they walk on the streets and pick up the worse germs from human spit - dog feces. I've seen kids jump up and down in the carts with dirty sneakers - dirty feet - dirty hands, etc.. I saw kids eating nuts and chocolate in the shopping cart, nuts and chocolate are deadly to many kids and adults who have life threatening food allergies! I wiped a dirty shopping cart one day thinking it was chocolate, and it was feces from a baby's diaper! That is so gross! Also, children sitting in the carts expose every customer to the Coxsacki Virus. They are carriers of the virus! And, if you never had this virus, look it up on Google! They do not disinfect their shopping carts to protect their customers from life threatening food allergies, Coxsacki Virus, and deadly germs! I do love the ability to buy in bulk but not have to purchase huge industrial containers like at Sam's Club. Coupon prices are great. The lines are so bad since COVID. I placed a deli order through the app at 8:20 pm, this being the main reason I was going to the store. I proceeded to the deli and they were closed since 8 pm. The deli at the Yorktown location stays open until the store's closing time. This is very frustrating! Also I wish the town of Wappingers would approve a BJ's gas station, they certainly have the space in the upper parking lot. read more

This is a decent BJs. It usually has everything in stock that I look for at a BJ's. My one complaint here - and at all stores in their chain - is that their produce isn't always competitive in price or quality. Everything else is fine. With their membership coupons, many items are priced even better. BUT... this is also where I do all my Verizon business, at their Verizon kiosk. Going to a Verizon store can be incredibly hectic. There's almost never a wait for service at their kiosk. The staff - not exhausted from talking to hundreds of people daily - and just as eager to earn their commissions - are more than glad to give you as much or as little assistance as you need. So unhappy with the service I received. I tried taking advantage of their online ordering process yesterday, and spent about $100 on my grocery order. In the time it took to submit the order (maybe 6 minutes?) the time slot I selected was no longer available, and I could pick it up today at the earliest. Oh well, out of everyone's control and it was the evening. Today my wife was told our order was moved to YORKTOWN because "one or more item was unavailable". Why bother selecting my store if the available items aren't available? When she called customer service, they relayed that "you don't know if somethings unavailable until you confirm the order. At that time your order is sent to the closest store". Yeah AFTER you pay for it. What's equally frustrating is, she was told the order would not be canceled until after we "Failed" to pick the order up, and it would take 5 days for the refund to process. So now I'm buying groceries AGAIN with the BJ's charge, hoping they follow through on the refund. Any sort of credit would have been taken with gratitude (nothings perfect and things happen) but was pretty much all shoulders and a simple "I completely understand, sorry for the inconvenience. I will say that, although the rep was unable to help, she as an individual was very polite. Extremely unhappy. We will be canceling our membership. (The one we JUST GOT. I came back to BJs this summer after being gone for 2 years left because the way the employees treated their customers. Prior to that I had been a customer for 8 years. In the three months I was back I spent over $1,500. Now I've left for good I will never return. BJs likes using self serve. So after particular long day at work I had 5 cases of large items things that the belts on handle there was four employees there and they were not busy at all you think anybody come over and help even after I started dropping the cases on the Belt. They could have scaned it all right in the cart and I wouldnt have to deal with that hassle. I went right to the customer service desk and canceled my membership customer service manager was standing right there and said nothing. This store still treats its customers like we're inconveniences to them. read more

I am just not a fan of these places...although I do go for the occasional deal. I do like self checkout! This club has a deli and a bakery... They claim a tire sevice but it is a Meineke thing and as such does NOT have discounted prices...so buyer beware, you can do much better elsewhere. I wouldn't normally review a grocery type store but I was so disgusted with the lack of cleanliness in their bathroom that I had to say something. So, disclaimer: this is regarding the bathroom only. I think the store is perfectly fine and everyone I dealt with was very friendly and accommodating. That being said, I hate using bathrooms in grocery stores to begin with but I was desperate or they'd have a mess to clean up! I walked in, after fighting with a 100lb door while on crutches, to a lovely blue slushy on the counter and no one in there that it could have belonged to. I went into the handicap stall and couldn't believe the amount of paper towels, toilet paper and ripped toilet set covers all over the floor (pictures uploaded). Now, bathrooms are supposed to be checked every 1-3 hours for upkeep, this mess could not have happened in that time. Also, the two toilet paper holders were empty and a fresh roll was just placed on top of the empty slot. I know BJs can't be strapped for cash so these can't be broken, the cleaner must be too lazy. I thought how many times this roll probably had fallen on the floor and into a wet puddle. Ew. I did my business and walked to the sink to find that "blue drank" still there and more paper products all over as well as an overflowing garbage! Clearly, this couldn't happen in an hour or two. Next thought, look at the cleaning schedule and see when the last time this place was checked. Low and behold not since the store opened. See photo as well. Now, I know that the empty suits up the totem pole probably don't pay much attention to Yelp reviews, but I feel better that this was documented. Good selection of products for big families or parties/ restaurants. Membership is required for the select few that may not know ( its not free but you can likely get a day pass) . Prices are fair for the most part . Checkout is easy . Place is conveniently located on route 9 with ample parking. Now for the reason i didnt give 5 stars 1 the cafe needs a overhaul. The food sits out too long and the woman behind the counter is somewhat slow ( meaning pace) but polite :) im shocked that bjs doesnt offer onions and sauerkraut for the hot dogs like costco does. These hotdogs are disgusting without that. 2 does this place not give out food samples??? Costco does.. i mean come on now the average customer spends 45 min to an hour in here you dont think theyre hungry lol?? The lines are Horrific! I know it's the holidays and covid, but they need a better system. Stood on line for 68 minutes. It only took me 12 minutes to drive there, and 23 minutes to gather my items. You stand in one line that goes to the back of the store and around. You save money here but not that much. When you compare to other places it's literally a couple of dollars and cents. Save time and buy online, goto Walmart. The BJs by my job have a better check out system and even on a busy Saturday I still managed to get in and out in less than 20 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous. People without jobs or off from work can entertain this. I can not and will not again. My BJs card is not doing anything for me but filling my time and emptying my pocket. read more

This company is impossible to deal with online. I Placed an online order and received the wrong product nobody is able to help meanwhile I am out a lot of money. Customer service is non existent you need to wait on line for an hour and a 1/2 to 2 hours. So much for membership privileges. read more

The only good things about BJ'S Wholesale is that they accept coupons and they have a larger selection than Sam's club. However, it's overpriced (the same steak is $2 a lb cheaper in Sam's club), their produce isn't that fresh and it doesn't look that clean. read more

I did not have a good experience because after I was quoted for $354.00 I noticed that my bill was actually $467.00 I told the attendance if he remembered that he had just told me the price was $354.00. I acknowledged that I made a calculation error. He did not seem bothered about it. He did not apology for his mistake. Instead, he said that if I did not agree with the price, I should get refunded. This review is for the tire center and customer service! I recently was in and purchased four new tires for my car and had coupons for free installation! They were put on Wednesday before Thanksgiving. When I got to my appointment the guy checking me and was super rude and told me he didn't deal with coupons that I had to go to customer service. So I did and they had no idea what I was talking about. They proceeded to complain and talk about the rude tire guy to me. About 30 mins later trying to get my installation coupon validated they proceed to tell me that I have to print out the receipt of my tires and that they will not except my email receipt and made me drive to Staples to print the receipt out. After got back from Staples they give me the $60 off however it was ridiculous hassle and they were all quite rude about it. But now for the actual tire apart I picked up my car drove it home and my husband and I used your other car to go off for Thanksgiving for two days. When we returned the front tire was completely flat! I Immediately called BJ's and After the phone rang for about 30 minutes someone finally graced me with an answer. I told them what was going on and that I have just been in and these are brand new tires and that my husband put the spare on and said there was no nail they're like well we can't get you in totally nonchalant about it totally on sympathetic to the fact that I needed my car this week at my daughter goes to school and I have 1 million things to do now it being the holiday season. They were totally unsympathetic didn't try to work with me at all! I then get a call after I hang up with them about an hour later telling me I can come in now knowing that I live 40 minutes away. I remind them that I live so far away and the guy goes oh yeah that's not gonna work maybe I can get you in on Thursday after telling them that I needed to be in Connecticut on Thursday. He says he'll call me back it's now Tuesday he still has not called me back and I've called a bunch times and nobody answers. I ended up bringing the car to a local body shop and they fix the tire for me and informed me that they in fact did it wrong and siliconed a piece together instead of doing with they're supposed to do and ended up leaking air and that's why my tire was flat! So these people are incompetent, rude, and lack customer service and I will never go there again and I will tell everybody never to go there!! read more

I usually only shop at local super markets and I rarely if ever rate a grocery store, but I was so impressed with this store that I have to write this review. I look for sales and use as many coupons as I can to save a little money. Why pay to shop somewhere right? Well I was enticed to go when I got a free 60 day Bjs membership in the mail ( you can get one easily online I found) I entered the store thinking I would have to fight for my free membership but to my surprise the customer service people were super friendly and very informative. They explained the different types of membership very well (there is one that even pays you to shop there!) I ended up just sticking with the 60 day free membership since I have never set foot in BJs before, and the customer service lady told me if I wanted to add more months I would still be eligible for any promotions they had on the membership , she took my picture and off I went. I was surprised with the selection of merchandise available they carry gift cards at a discounted rate, greeting cards are 50% off. Their deli has land O lakes cheese at a fraction of the cost of regular supermarkets and I can combine the Bjs coupons and the coupons I get from the newspaper. Their employees all seem genuinely happy and they are extremely helpful, I can tell they enjoy working there by the colorful decorations I found as I walked to the customer device area. All in all I can really say I have been missing out all these years, I was so happy to find organic and all natural products at a reasonable price that I went back to the customer service lady and asked her to add more months to my membership. some of the food is reasonable some are not but that's not why I am writing this review went to b j at around 2 pm Friday 17 of November the lines were long very long after about 29 minutes I noticed a short line went over to the cashier I'm closed then she took the next person on her line ok whatever so I went back to her after seeing that and again told I'm closed we all were waiting at least a 1/2 hour then a new cashier opened and a customer from the isle strolled right up to her with out waiting a second my point is he should have said NEXT PERSON ON LINE but he did not why? because of lack of training and poor management the help in the back area just stood there and watched us only l one person helped put a customers grocery in her cart I wont be back read more
