Due to the egg shortage, I am always stocking up ahead of time whenever BJ's have them available. For my most recent Eggland's Best purchase, the pick up option was available for this BJ's. I put in the order via app. The oder was ready within couple of hours. I arrived 30 minutes before closing. The store was tidy and clean, with very few customers. Parking was easy to find. I checked-in thru the app for my pickup. The associate handed me the 4 dozen eggs in few minutes. It was a quick and easy process. I have previously shopped from this several times. The inventory and prices are good. They also have BJs tire. I had bought a set few years back for my Honda CR-V. It came with lifetime tire rotation. I prefer Costco to BJs for several reasons: the greater variety of products, more specialty and organic products, better coupons, a food court and samples to try. I like this BJs because it's never been super busy or crowded and parking is fair but I never come out of there with a lot of stuff crossed off the shopping list. I also wish there was an entrance into the mall but I'm sure there's some logistical issue why not. You can also use manufacturers coupons which is nice. read more

BJ's brand products are good but this specific location for curbside pick up is always full and the cars are always vacant. I have brought it up on multiple occasions and nothing ever changes. Went here with my mom on Saturday November 16th 2024 to pick up some little hot dogs for appetizers after going to the walmart in suffern and they didn't have any. This is the 1st time that i've walked into here, and let me tell you, can get awfully busy on the weekends. Nice to see a Bj's Crowded though. It also looks smaller than our local bj's in monroe, but it is also located in a mall, so gotta take the space available. We entered the store, and headed to the freezer section, which was in the back. Store was very clean both inside and out. We immediately found little hot dogs and then waited on line. The line came out to all the way to the back of the store, and we only had one item. Luckily a lady came up to us while on line, and told us that we can pay for our item in guest services, since we only had one and the line was long. That's exactly what we did. On Friday, December 29th, at around 3:30 pm, I stopped at BJ's in White Plains, NY to pick up my groceries. I had a total of six items and had paid for them when my husband and I headed to the exit with our receipts. As we approached the door, the woman checking receipts asked me to open my bag. I was shocked when she asked to see my wallet, too. She informed me that this was part of BJ's policy and that a sign on the wall indicated this. She thoroughly checked my bag, making me feel very uncomfortable. I have been a loyal BJ's customer for over 30 years, and I have never experienced such discriminatory treatment. Since opening my clinic, I have invested a lot of money in this franchise, and I find it unacceptable to be treated this way. I am making this complaint so that others do not have to experience the same. Mental health issues are a significant problem in our society, and this type of treatment can be triggering for some. Instead of asking customers to open their bags, BJ's should inform them of their policy before making any checks. That way, customers who spend their money can avoid feeling uncomfortable and discriminated against. I waited at the deli department for about 15 minutes watching the worker watch the chickens in the oven cook.Then when they were done, he took out about 20 chickens & put them on the table. Instead of helping me & others behind me on line, he proceeded to put every chicken in the plastic containers, then he put every container top on the chickens. Thought he would finally come to help me, but he proceeded to put out every chicken on the outside rack where customers can take them.All of us on the line were begging for help. He was getting off on being in control & ignoring us. Finally, he walked over to the deli counter. Again, he ignored all of us & proceeded to cut turkey for an invisible customer. Many walked off the line bc of his rudeness & idiocy.I didn't get my cold cuts, bc I was so disgusted w him.Clearly, he should NOT work w customers. He should be stocking shelves. He was very nasty & wanted me to thank him for putting a price on the chicken leg package I wanted to purchase.I have never experienced anything like that in my 69 years. The employee monitoring the self checkout was extremely rude and unprofessional. He seemed completely annoyed that we were using the self checkout and not the line with the cashier. He not only showed attitude to us but to the customer on the self checkout next to us as well. If this is an indication of service going forward then something needs to change. Ever since implementing the BJs Shop From Home service, the shopping experience has drastically decreased in quality at this store. The entire store is now full of these "employees" who are blinding pushing their carts around with their heads buried in their phones to find the items for the orders. They have no consideration for the actual costumers in the store shopping, leaving their carts in the middle of aisles and directly in front of high traffic areas like the meats, vegetables and milk fridges without a care in the world. They obliviously wander from shelves to their cart like they're the only person in the store. Don't get me started on actually using the service.... because we used the curbside pick up once and almost ran out of gas I was idling in the designated pick up parking spot for so long. Plus I've noticed a trend that "certain people" who don't believe the rules of society should apply to them just park in these spots and BJs does nothing to prevent this. read more

I had ordered tires to be put on my car on august 19th at 12pm. But when I arrived at tire center found it to be closed. Was never notified that it would be closed and when I talked to the manager was told they had to fire workers who were smoking pot. If they knew this why didn't they call and tell me not to drive all the way there. They gave me another appointment on august 26th there was only one worker there and he was pretty annoyed that I was there. My tires were put on but he never torqued them or put the proper tire pressure in nor did he give me any paperwork for my car as he rushed away and said my car was done. Mostly Every single time I have a curbside pick-up there's something wrong with the app where it says you have no order or the order has already been picked up and it's very hard to get Customer service on the phone to tell them you are outside so I usually have to call another dept. like the meat section to ask for help in contacting someone therefore waiting outside for at least a half hour, Its quite annoying but I find their prices cheaper than Costco and more variety. read more

Although I find the staff to be helpful and friendly, this store is poorly mis-managed. The wait time to checkout at this store is ridiculous. Most times the Bj's in West Nyack only has ONE cashier open. They would prefer that most customers use the self check-out, causing the lines to be extremely long. For a club that you have to pay a membership to shop in, the least they can do is hire more cashiers. Compared to Costco, one star. Only good thing is they'll shop for you and bring it to your car at no additional cost. Problem with that is I order a lot of berries and you don't get to see them and pick out the freshest ones. Produce at Costco has much longer shelf life. Called their optical department to loot into getting glasses there and no one answers the phone. One time I was there and they had plants in front of the store. Unpredictable produce - quite often it's spore-laden at best and downright moldy at worst 2. Aggressive, combative, and unrelenting outside vendors trying to sell windows or other needless home services are downright annoying 3. Went to get tires. Waiting area is a cold dumpy place. Guy behind counter was on his cellphone. Gave me a wassup and never looked up. Told him I wanted 2 tires. Asked me what size. I told him and he sighed and put down his phone. Told me he had none in my size. Told me some prices. Then told me it was Friday. Couldn't get them until Tuesday or Wednesday . Positives: Some good deals. I tend to visit store in AM to avoid Palisades Center Mall parking lot traffic. I am in and out of store quickly. Negatives: My personal investigation conducted (5) times in two months time has shown about half the employee's need to learn, "Customer Service 101" before being allowed to work in an customer service oriented environment. Went into the tire shop with a slow leak, the guy who helped me on a hot Sunday afternoon couldn't have been nicer. Not easy to find someone to fix a tire on a Sunday afternoon, especially when you're not from the area and have no idea where to go. i dealt with a young girl (her first day at the register) i believe her name was Jessica or Jessie..and she greeted me with a yes ma'm and that to me was very different and respectful. She was so polite and also helped me with a coupon i had an issue with but then a lady i believe was a supervisor of some sort with long hair and very loud voice came over to her and kind've made her feel bad about not being able to get the coupon to work. I have been shopping BJ's and Costco for many many years now. Costco back when it was called Price Club. I have a catering company so I do spend a lot of money in both places not only for my company but also for personal use in my home. Just last Thursday, I was shopping at Nyack NY BJ's and seriously had the most disturbing interaction with an employee on the front end, shocking actually so shocking that I really didn't even think about what happened until I got home. I was purchasing one of their snack mixes among other things and dropped the plastic container at the self check out register. It is the Berkeley Jensen brand so it is in this flimsy plastic container. Well when it hit the ground it cracked open and the chips went all over the floor. I ran back to the aisle got another one and came back to ring out my order. Some girl employee on the front end comes up to me very rudely and asked me if I was going to pay for the stuff that I dropped on the floor. I said I did drop it I went back to get another one because it broke open and the food fell out of tin onto floor. We ended up having this altercation where she was basically reprimanding me, telling me I have caused damage and should have to pay for the one I dropped too. I was pretty speechless I just stared at her with my mouth open. I finally said are you kidding me do you know how much money I spent in the store a year? I was completely shocked really could not say anything else. These girls are never around when you need them but pops up to start an issue with me over a 4.99 container of chips. Then she finally just walked away said she's speaking with her manager and never came back. I finished ringing, paid for my stuff and left. By the time I got home I was kind of infuriated. It wasn't like I opened the container on purpose. If it had not broken open I would've purchased the one that I dropped. This would've never occurred in Costco I have dropped eggs on the front end and there and they told me to go back and get a new ones. In addition she was completely rude and disrespectful. First of all I'm 40 years older than her, and I'm a customer. She was totally rude and condescending. I normally do not shop in this particular BJ's. If it was my only representation of the company I would never shop there again. I normally shop in the Yorktown Heights one where the employees there would never speak to the customers like this. So clearly I think it is just this one individual so I will not base all of BJ's on it because this seriously has never happened in there before. But should she come across a new Shopper and this be their impression of the company it would not be a positive reflection. read more

3 days ago I returned an item to BJ's in West Nyack, Jennifer was the only staff at the membership. She just dumped the item to the shopping cart and she spoke to me with an angry tone. She is always rude, no eye contact, unhappy and bitter face, never smiled and no greeting nor thanked. She acted like she was doing a big favor in servicing the member. As a paid member and I spend my money there, I don't deserve to be treated that way. I have no choice bc BJ's only have 1 staff at CS, not like Costco have few staffs at CS. If there were any other staff at the time, I wouldn't want to be served by her. Her bad mood ruined my whole day. If she was unhappy serve the members, why would she work at CS? She ruined the reputation of BJ'S. The reason I don't shop a lot at BJ's bc they have bad CS, not flexible in return policy and when I lost my receipt they give me gift card. I don't always keep my receipt bc I have plenty of receipt from any other store and it's hard for me to keep on track on all that receipts. For me Costco is the best, when I return items I don't have to bring my receipt and they'll not give me hard time in how they refund me. This policy is not good for BJ's business bc customers has a lot of choices where they want to shop and spend their money. BJ's should selective when to put a staff at the CS, they shouldn't put someone like Jennifer who likes to confront a member, pick an argument, always give me hard time when I do a return. She should just do her job, provide a good CS not an aggravation. She thought she was smart by doing all of those? She should get more training in how to provide a good CS. She can't express all her bad behavior at the work place bc she doesn't own BJ'S. She acted like she was the owner or the GM or the big boss of BJ's. Maybe she is not the right person on the right place. I love Costco, they have a good CS and more staff who is always ready to help whenever I need them. One thing I like about BJ's is they have some item that I don't find at Costco. If BJ's can improve the CS, maybe in the future I'll shop more there. read more

I have been a Bjs member for 20 years. This review is about the WestNyack tire center only. The club itself is reasonably good as I don't expect much. But the Tire Center ? This is the worst in the business with atrocious service. I always think this is because they don't have enough people. I try to sympathize with them. But even those persons they are employing are not interested in doing anything more than in a very slow pace. Basically it's like you go to a government office and you are getting something for free. In fact most government offices are now customer friendly. With a little research you can see that the Bj member prices are not really better than any other place. Add the lousy service to it and you can see why it's not worth stopping by this dump. They don't even pick up the phone. Always give some or other reason to keep you waiting and deny you Sevice. They are in 19 th century with the computer tracking so you better hold on to your papers. The last straw was today on Memorial Day 2020 when I went in for my seasonal tire change which was scheduled. Apparently the guy today didn't like the fact that I have all the papers - so he found that one of my seasonal is not usable! Tread is too low for him which I don't agree with, I was not even using this car much. Of course they don't carry those tires either. This guy has the gleeful smile as he is putting the chain to the garage as obviously he can go home. This is the last time I will be using This Bjs tire center. I don't like people wasting my time. There is no reason to get service from this place unless they give you dirt cheap price. It is not worth it. The only mistake I made was to get my winter tires from this place. Last spring after these people changed tire, one burst out in my garage and so their concern for tread level is not really consistent. read more

bJ's monroe tire center deserves 0 stars if yelp would allow it. i left my car at 11am because my engine was overheating. Ramon was nice enough to take my cellphone number and assured me it would be checked out in a timely manner. i walked back into BJs monroe at 3pm and Ramon assured me again that the first mechanic checked the car and confirmed my engine keeps overheating (duh). He mumbled something about coolant or wire or some other bs in my car. i left only to return at 6pm after Ramon texted me that they couldnt get the hood of my car open. I found that the lever to open my hood was pulled out and the cover completely removed from my car. They broke the lever and continued to deny it after 7 hours of bullcrapping me about "first mechanic checked your car" meaning they turned it on and off and wasted my time. thanks for nothing Ramon- manager of BJs monroe read more

BJ s tires department in Rockland should has a 0 because they are so nasty and unprofessionals. I bought my 4 tires there few months ago and they broke my 4 holds cops so when I went back they told me that my car was like that went I got there. Wrong cause I bought my car from the dealer so I know what's my car has. The manager at that store so rude and disrespectful no manners at all. At the end I has to contact the general manager at that store and finally sent me the check by mail paying for my new 4 holds cops. Bad experience I never come back there. This review is for the tire center first and foremost. After purchasing two sets of tires for two different vehicles from the Monroe, NY location that were done just horribly. I gave this location a try to fix multiple issues (totally incompetent balancing job and broken wheel lug nut bolts) that plagued the initial installations. After explaining my issues on the phone to a technician named Louis he assured me from the beginning that he would do the best he could. When I got there he promptly looked at the car keeping his word about the appointment time. Well let me tell you, I barely had time to walk a fifth of the mall before I got a call that my car was ready. He rebalanced all 4 tires in under 35 minutes. Wow! Louis actually fixed my tire issues and did it in an expedited, courteous, and thoroughly manner. This is the guy to see for your tire issues. read more

I go to the BJ's in the Palisades Mall for one reason: The rotisserie chickens. Most of the time I go I will buy the chicken in Shoprite or Stop & Shop on my way home. Because most of the time, no matter when I go there (3, 4, 5 or 6 ), there are no chickens at BJ's. For 3 months, that was because the oven was broken, I don't know what the excuse is now. I had a brilliant idea (NOT!) I would call BJ's to see when they would be ready. You would have more luck finding a chicken at BJ's than having the Deli answer the phone. I don't have many complaints about the store itself. My complaint has to do with the BJ's/Monroe Tire Center. I went there to have my snow tires changed over to my all season tires. I only have one sent of rims, so when they change the tires they have to mount and balance them. When a different BJ's had removed the tires they chalked them with the location on the car when removed. This is a common practice so that the tires can be rotated when reinstalled. I made a point of informing the cashier (and we went out to the car to show him) that the tires are marked and be sure to rotate them before installing. In addition, I paid extra to have the synthetic blend oil change. They said it should be done by 7 pm but wasn't done until 8 pm. They were busy so I can understand the wait. When I got out to my car I immediately knew they didn't rotate the tires at all since the markings were exactly the same as the position on the car. The tire marked LF (Left Front) was on the left front of car and so on. I waited around for 15 minutes to try and complain but no one was around since they closed at 8 pm. I called the next day but no one answered the phone. I called twice the following day and again no answer. I drove all the way to the club to try and fix it since I figured they would apologize and fix it right away. (I live over 45 mins away and have to pay a toll to get back home) Instead the manager there came out to my car and said they are directional tires and cant be changed. I told him that the tires weren't on the rim and therefore there is no issue with the directional tires. He said that they have a policy of only mounting tires with the barcode facing a certain way and therefore cant take tire off rim and switch to other side. Really? That is total BS. I then asked about using the cheap oil when I paid extra for synthetic blend. He asked me to pop the hood and he pointed to the oil cap that says 5W20 and said they used the right oil. He didn't even open the cap to see. You cant tell if regular or synthetic blend oil was used based on that. I am very disappointed and will never go again. read more

Dear God this place is a Horror Show. I went today to get my free 90 membership that they sent me in the mail. I figured why not give it a try. I went to the member services desk and got set up by a very pleasant guy, forget his name but he was the best part of the experience. Walked around to check out selection and such. Arranged throughout the store are sample kiosks. These kiosk are apparently staffed by Zombies. Staring off into space and looking miserable, it was an off-putting vibe. Found some Levis on sale and in my size, so I headed for the checkout. There were 2 people in front of me, first one got off with only some awkward small talk. Next poor woman wanted to add $50 to a gift card and pay for like 4 things. What a disaster. The clueless clerk, did not get her name or I would use it, did not "think she knew" how to do it but she would try. Thought she did. Was not Sure. Asked the woman if she wanted to check if it was done. Put her light on and 10 minutes later a fellow clerk came over to try to help. No Dice. (Meanwhile supervisor station is staffed with someone else not paying any kind of attention). I am now advised by first clerk that "This could take a while, you may not want to wait". Uhhh....OK. I go to the self checkout, swipe my BJ card (That was JUST ACTIVATED). Card Error! Try again, Chip Error. Whole time NONE comes over to help. I take the jeans, put them back, and walk out without buying anything. HEY BJs, GREAT First impression!! I will try the Paramus Store to see if any better. If not, I am done with these guys. I have been a BJ's member for the better part of 11 years and Costco for almost 20. I tend to compare the two to some extent. I have to say, I hate this location for so many reasons. The basic shopping experience here absolutely sucks more than an Electrolux! The employees here are moronic. I have concluded that they must not be paid very well, because the compiled IQ score of every employee in this location might equate to 100. They look and sound like hoodrats. The ones that sound intelligent, are lazy do nothings that find excuses to get out of whatever assistance you may need from them as a customer, but they are happily texting their hoodrat homies while you are trying to get them to do something, like ring you up. The bakery will close early, the food court will be unmanned, the pizza is not fit for human consumption, they misquote NYS laws at their convenience, they are either too stupid to understand what they were taught, or they were never trained to begin with. The list could go on, by why bother. It just won't make any difference. When the mall was packed before xmas, this location was dead. I would be surprised if this store remains open much longer, it must be a huge corporate financial loss. The only positive is that the product selection has vastly improved since I started as a member. But, because of the great challenges the West Nyack BJ's imposes on the shopping experience, I tend to go there very little these days. read more
