    Great breakfast
    Randy P.

Service is warm and friendly. The owner Glen was working the till and taking orders. I got the bacon, egg and cheese croissant. So yummy. They roast their own coffee beans and the coffee was delicious. Cool little neighborhood shop with several locals stopping by. This place is family friendly and has a couple outside tables. Such a cool place. Definitely recommend stopping by if you are in the area.

Stumbled upon this gem randomly. Bc the original breakfast spot I was planing on going for my weekend trip wasn't open yet. And glad it wasn't ,bc BVC was amazing. Food was great, Coffee was great and the Service was great. The food was just perfect sized for the price and delicious.

Quiet, we had a great time celebrating a birthdayna Friday Morning. Their specialty drinks were full of flavor and the food was just as good, everyone in the group was raving about their drinks. I tried the BV latte and the Chai , both were great. The avocado toast was amazing a must try. The b'day girl received a free drink, that was super nice of the staff.I'm waiting for the next visit to try something else.

I wish this place had longer hours! Gem of a cafe in Newburgh.. the food is absolutely delicious, with vegetarian options that don't feel like an afterthought, breakfast here is scrumptious! Sitting at one of their rustic picnic tables with my dog, stuffing my face with a portobello BLT -- they even roasted up some chicken breast for Boba, who enthusiastically rates this place 5 PAWS!

    Perfectly balanced pomegranate lemonade.

Only fantastic biscuit in town. Everything was great as was the staff. We had the egg and sausage biscuit sandwich and house breakfast sandwich. There is a genius behind their mix of drinks-- for example the lemonade pomegranate drink and the house latte. espresso/ chocolate mocha/ white mocha. Sweet but balanced. Nicely decorated--- trendy couch small lounge area with surrounding tables. And modern art by black artists. Go here!

Such a local love you can see that the community really supports this location. But that being said they are very welcoming to visitors and first timers. I've been twice and have enjoyed the regular latter and the matcha latte. The girls I was with both got bagel sandwiches and said they were very good

Shrimp and grits - with a few bites already gone ;) very good!!

I ordered the veggie burger and my partner ordered the Brie and ham sandwich with a side of broccoli cheddar soup. The veggie burger was perfect in terms of mix of veggies, flavor and freshness and both sandwiches came with a small side of tortilla chips and fresh salsa. We also ordered a side of French fries which were also fresh. Our least favorite thing was the broccoli cheddar soup, which was a little more watery than we would have liked. Others in our party ordered a cheeseburger and an "ah love" chicken sandwich and they liked their food. I ordered a fresh lemonade and it was homemade and tasted great. The food here is very fresh and reasonably priced and very enjoyable overall. We would definitely come back the next time we are here! Warning the parking lot is on the smaller side and there are only about 4-5 tables inside and 2-3 tables on the small outdoor patio.

I used to love Batata and still kind of do love their food but I will never come back…read more On 5/26, I ordered the Zen burger after coming back from the hospital and giving birth to my son a few days earlier. Looking for a burger, I picked the Zen burger which was not listed as having walnuts. I even called the restaurant to confirm this burger was nut free. When I bit into this burger, within 30 seconds, I realized something was wrong when my lips started swelling up and my throat started to close in. My husband called the restaurant back and again asked if the zen burger had walnuts. I was assured that it did not. When I said, please go ask the kitchen, the person on the phone did and confirmed, "oh, it does have a little bit of walnuts in it". I don't think that the people working here understood the severity of this and they offered a refund of the meal that we threw away. Wow, how generous! I spoke to the manager and she just said sorry and that the owner would contact us. We wound up having to go to the hospital over this, after just leaving with our newborn. What a day. It's been a week and my husband has stopped by the talk to the owner but she hasn't been there and has not called, emailed, or done anything since. I don't care if she is busy, it honestly doesn't matter, this is important and I needed some reassurance that this would never happen again to anyone since someone else could have died from this but that never happened. I guess she is just too busy to care. Unfortunately, this is a local business that I used to love but I will never come back and would advise anyone with a food allergy to go somewhere else. The next day they did update the menu and the zen burger now does say "contains walnuts" but it's not reassuring that this will never happen again.

We can in after 9:40PM and the person advised us they close at 11:00PM, which is more than enough time. We ordered omelets (spinach, tomato, and mushrooms) with hash brown and toast. Quick and easy. All of them. Always checking in , filling up coffee cups , restaurant was clean and not overly busy . We didn't need to wait when we arrived. My friend and both ordered an omelette . She built hers and I just added an item to my omelette. I know it's New York but when it's 4.50 extra just to add ham to your omelette!! I think that's a bit too much!! My omelette already came with mushroom and cheese. Meanwhile my friend was charged 1.50 for each item . Makes no sense to me. Even after asking about it! The potatoes were dry, wasn't a fan but I enjoyed my omelette and that's all I needed at the time! I did see other dishes go by that looked great! It's a place to check out if you want Diner food!

I have never had a better experience in a restaurant before! It was our first time eating Georgian food and we can't wait to come back. The cheese pie is so good because it wasn't too cheesy but like just cheesy enough for the flavor to stick with the crust. Just when I thought things couldn't get any better the staff said I should eat it with the eggplant with walnut combine. I was blown away how much the flavor changed after that. It was a combination of cheese but very balance with the settledness of the egg plant and walnuts. It was just unique and balanced. I would come back here to try out their other dishes. Also price is pretty good as well with average being around 9-15 dollars. Not bad at all for something unique!
