Food was very good. Had to remind the staff to bring this or that. They were always pleasant and Johnny on the spot.

The basement has a bar, lounge and restaurant. It was a little noisy. But we could still talk. The roasted scallops were cooked perfectly. The green sauce was tasty. I love the presentation. The Bill Marrow was also good. It was very rich. There were two kinds of Sunday roast a sirloin and a rump. Three of us had the rump roast dinner and three had the sirloin roast dinner. It was hard to tell the difference. All the dinners came with roasted potatoes greens and of course, Yorkshire pudding. It was all delicious. I have to say my favorite part is always the Yorkshire pudding. I also have a green salad, which is basically just lettuce with a light dressing. It was very fresh. We were too full for dessert. The service was excellent. We were seated right away and given water. In the UK, you can order sparkling, still or tap. Sparkling and still come with a charge. Tap is usually free. Our server was attentive without hovering. It's a good idea to make reservations at Hawksmoor especially for the Sunday roast. We got there at three by the time we left around 4:30 some of the roasts were already sold out. Just a note: Sunday roost is usually a late lunch not a dinner. It's good to go between two and four especially if you don't have a reservation.

wow..... this was .... WOW…read more being from the states and seeing the typical sunday roast advertised on every platform made me NEED to try it for myself. i did copious amounts of research to find the absolute best in London and I can confidently say this. is. IT. we absolutely adored this meal. i shared it with my boyfriend and it was just enough for both of us. FOOD: beef with horseradish, lamb with mint sauce & pork with applesauce: WOW!!!! we absolutely loved this. phenomenally cooked and paired amazingly with the sauces. the Yorkshire pudding, duck fat roast potatoes, a selection of seasonal vegetables and blacklock Gravy were AMAZING!!!! absolutely scrumptious. i dream of the crispy potatoes that were so soft on the inside. vegetables were flavorful and i would swim in the gravy! ATMOSPHERE: coolest joint ever. bathrooms that say "east end boys" and "west end girls". when you enter there is neat decor with record players and low lighting. downstairs was a dimly lit, beautiful cacophony of people laughing, enjoying their meals & the greatest decor ever. it was such a vibe in this establishment! SERVICE: so helpful, fast service and kind people. everyone was so nice there! OVERALL RATING: 100000/10 i would definitely go back. i think back often of this meal and want to cry i crave it so badly! GO! RUN!

By…read morethe time I was planning, the only open reservation was at 2pm so I ended up coming for a late lunch. I opted for the all-in which includes a portion of the beef, lamb and pork roasts. A really great way to try their variety of meats. First, the portion was absolutely huge - I definitely appreciated how much vegetables there were, the roasted brussels and carrots were delicious. Sides were all good - including the roasted potatoes and yorkshire pudding. The star was the meat of course, my favorite ended up being the lamb which was super tender and flavorful. Loved the crispy pork rind that comes with the pork roast slices and the gravy and sauces on the side really rounded out the meal, added a ton of flavor and made it fun to try the different sauces with the variety of meats. Service was great and everything came out really quickly! Definitely would recommend Blacklock to try the famous Sunday roast in London, you can't go wrong here!

The Beef Wellington was incredibly underwhelming. The pastry was soggy and lacked flavor, the beef wasn't memorable, and the mashed potatoes tasted like cardboard. For the premium price, I expected a meal worthy of Gordon Ramsay's name, but instead it was a complete disappointment. This is now the second Gordon Ramsay restaurant that has let me down, and unfortunately it's enough for me. I can't justify spending this kind of money for food of this quality, and I won't be dining at another Gordon Ramsay restaurant in the future.

Having visited several of Gordon Ramsay's restaurants before--including Bread Street Kitchen,…read moreGordon Ramsay Burger, and Hell's Kitchen--I came into Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill in Mayfair with fairly high expectations. Thankfully, it lived up to them. One thing that immediately stood out was how intimate the restaurant is. It's probably one of the smallest Gordon Ramsay venues I've visited, which gives it a cozy atmosphere but also makes for a different experience compared to some of his larger restaurants. The service was memorable, although not in the way I expected. When we sat down, I already knew the Beef Wellington was the signature dish and was prepared for the advertised 45-minute wait, but I wasn't quite sure what else to order. Our waiter enthusiastically declared, "I've got this," started saluting us, and proceeded to recommend--and seemingly order--the Beef Wellington, T-bone steak, and steak tartare before fully confirming what we wanted. We had to flag him back down and explain that we probably didn't need an all-meat feast. After some adjustments, we swapped the T-bone and steak tartare for gnocchi, Caesar salad, and green beans. In the end, those changes turned out to be the right call. The Beef Wellington was everything it should be--perfectly cooked, rich, and worth the wait. The green beans with pine nuts were unexpectedly one of the highlights of the meal, packed with flavor and executed beautifully. The gnocchi was also excellent, with a great texture and comforting richness. By the end of the meal, everyone at our table agreed that this was the best meal we had during our time in London. That's saying a lot considering the city's incredible dining scene. My only real complaint is the restroom situation. The bathroom is tucked behind what feels like a hidden doorway, and there are very few signs directing you there. Overall, Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill delivered exactly what I was hoping for: outstanding food, memorable service, and a meal that stood out among everything else we ate in London. If you're debating whether the Beef Wellington is worth ordering, the answer is absolutely yes.
