We came here for lunch on Sunday. It wasn't busy as there were only two other tables besides ours. They only have the brunch menu on Sunday for lunch. I ordered the BA breakfast which came with steak, eggs, bacon, mushrooms, toast. Food took at least 30 mins to come out. Not sure why as they weren't busy. The steak was extremely tough and difficult to eat. I could not finish it. The toast tasted stale. The only thing that was cooked well was the mushrooms. We also didn't get a refill of water and were sitting with empty cups for a while, when we asked the server to refill she only gave a little bit of water to each of our cups. Overall I don't think we will be back - they are a steakhouse and can't seem to get steak right. We also had to pay for parking in the building. I don't think it's worth it to pay for parking, have to pay for additional parking time because they take a long time to serve food and not be served good steak or food.

Friday night had a reservation. Seated promptly but not crowded. Friendly server. Main comes with one side. Pickles but no bread. Split a Caesars salad. Had a boneless ribeye Cooked perfectly. The garlic parmesan fries and aioli great. Filet tender and juicy, baked potato huge. Ordered a garlic cheese bread very good. Took some of each home couldn't finish. One thing place settings seem cheap.lol. After 6pm they validate parking but still pay $3 Manager very attentive, came around a couple of times. I'll definitely be back

Food is amazing. We had seafood tower that has seared scallops, pawns, grilled clams and grilled oysters on a bed of green. Clams were slightly salty for my taste but overall very enjoyable. The crab cakes were absolutely delicious. For main course, we had New York steak with creamini mushrooms, no doubt it was one of the best steaks in town. Our server Debra was very attentive, she came back to top up our water and brought drinks to us quickly after it was ordered. The only complaint was that the steak took too long. We waited 45mins after having our appetizers and seafood tower. If we didn't have to wait so long I would have given full 4.5 stars.

I had been going to the old black angus for years. One of our favorite spots to go for steak with the family. I was excited to know that the new location was going to be opening back up. Me and a few friends went for dinner and were disappointed to say the least. Steak was burnt and bland The sides were trying to be something modern and expensive which they are not. The old black angus was a place with simple but good food. Nothing too flashy, just simple and well done. I will not be returning.

They've updated their menu and now serve tapetizers and have a fun Thursday's where there's always free sampling of a drink (beer, wine, different spirit cocktails) and buck a shuck. This is a great improvement. Lunch is served quicker too!

Was absolutely blown away by the quality of food and level of service of our dinner. It's pricey but I will definitely repeat.

The modern, chic decor sets a wonderful ambiance, and the service was immediate and welcoming. The food was spectacular from start to finish. We started with fresh, warm bread, followed by a flavorful seafood gumbo loaded with meat, and a generous portion of two lightly breaded crab cakes. For our mains, the 10oz ribeye and 8oz tenderloin were seasoned and cooked to absolute perfection--compliments to the chef! They came with a lovely side of baby potatoes and vegetables. We capped off a perfect meal with a warm pecan tart and ice cream. I highly recommend coming here. We noticed they have a pizza oven and plan to add pizza to the menu soon; we already can't wait for our next visit to try it out! Ps parking wise, the restaurant is just off a residential neighborhood and parking is free. No need to pay for any parking, just remember to read signs.

There are specials that change weekly. The interior is decorated with New Orleans memorabilia, medium lit, cozy (not large), with jazz music in the background. Service was attentive and friendly. They operated for 30 years at their old location. This location soft-opened on 2026-02-12. We came on 2026-02-25 for dinner. There were still some furnishings to complete (there were unforeseen delays). They kept the same menu offerings but it will be expanded within a month. We ordered the following: 1. Citra Terre D'Abruzzo Pinot Grigio - Italy (glass $14.95). 2. Coke. 3. Crab Cakes ($19.95). 4. New Orleans Shrimp Cocktail ($19.95). 5. Jambalaya Aranchini (weekly special). 6. Blackened Lamb Chops (weekly special). 7. New Orleans Fisherman's Plate ($39.95). 8. Pecan Pie warmed with Ice Cream ($14.95). 9. Bananas Foster ($14.95). 10. Beignet ($14.95). Every dish had an excellent presentation. We spent a lot of time taking photos and videos. What did you expect from me?! We loved all the dishes! The portions were large! There are more staff than in the previous location, allowing the service to be excellent. They tend to have many loyal and returning customers. Every table starts with freshly baked bread and butter. The bread was so fresh! The three appetizers tasted good. They each had a little kick due to creole cuisine. I loved the shrimp the most. The Blackened Lamb Chops was perfectly cooked. Each of the four pieces were very tender, accompanied by a delicious sauce. The dish had some very nicely cooked seasonal vegetables: roasted potatoes, a red pepper, string beans, a broccoli, and a carrot. This dish will be put into their regular menu in the near future. The New Orleans Fisherman's Plate is great if you want a little sampling of their seafood: Blackened Fish, Cajun Calamari, and Coconut Beer Shrimp. It also comes with rice and seasonal vegetables. The fish was so good! We brought some home for my mom and she really loved it. The Coconut Beer Shrimp was on top of a Orange Marmalade Sauce, which is really liked. The three desserts looked really good and tasted good. I loved the pecan pie the most. They can split dishes in half in the kitchen and serve them on two dishes for two people to share. The restaurant uses fresh seasonal ingredients and spices to create authentic Creole and Cajun tastes. Everything is made in-house except for bread and butter. In the near future, their bread will be made in-house too. Currently, there is only indoor dining but they are looking into the possibility of sidewalk outdoor dining. Mike Djurdjevic runs the front of the house while his wife, Mira Djurdjevic, operates the kitchen. Their son, Marko, also helps in the front of the house. There is a large pizza oven at the back of the restaurant. They will be introducing creole pizza in the near future. There is a separate large room for events, parties, etc. This room will be ready in the near future. They also do catering. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, but there is no door-open button. There is one gender-neutral washroom, which is also wheelchair accessible, and one female washroom. Thrre is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2026-037

Once our waiter returned I had decided on their Wagyu burger that came with their garlic aioli fries and my husband ordered the lobster and macaroni and cheese. Their menu consisted of mostly seafood, something I really don't care for, so that was my reason for ordering the burger. Once our food arrived it looked pretty tasty. Unfortunately I didn't expect my burger to be so greasy and beefy tasing. The patty was pretty thick and the grease coming off of the patty was just too much for my liking. I'm guessing that is what wagyu is supposed to taste like, but I found out it's not for me. I ended up only eating a quarter of my burger. Unfortunately it cost me around $35. But now I know not to order it again. My husband said his food was just ok. Our waiter was kind and did a good job, so I will give them a 3 based on food and bump that up to a 4 for the excellent service.

They offer different cuts of steak, with the price depending on whether you choose steak and fries or steak and salad. I went with the 6 oz sirloin and salad. I asked about the difference between the sirloin and the cap steak, and was told the sirloin was the leaner option while the cap had more fat. Unfortunately, my sirloin ended up being much fattier than I expected. The steak itself was cooked well with a nice char and simple seasoning, but nearly a third of it was fat, which made it feel like poor value. The side salad was fresh and light, but the dressing was very mild and tasted mostly like oil and vinegar. I can see why this place gets attention for offering steak under $30, but personally I'd rather pay a little more for a leaner cut with less waste.
