It's been over 10 years since my last visit here and I'm so happy to report it's actually gotten BETTER! Everything from service, to ambiance and food was perfect. Our server Natasha greeted us promptly and was super friendly and kind. She was quick to get our drinks and took our food order right away. Food did not take too long to come out. I have only ever ordered a prime rib here and I wasn't about to switch up on them now. I was SO happy they got rid of those wasabi mashed potatoes cuz what? Those were gross. They do a regular Yukon gold mash now and it's perfect. My prime rib was medium, just as I asked for and was juicy and tender. Super comparable to the Keg, but the Keg prime rib issss still my favourite lol. I appreciate the assortment of veggies the meal came with as well. it was so much food, I had to take half home. My by got the burger, which I took a bite out of and it was great! I like how it also comes dressed with an onion ring. My bf also really liked the fries. Lovely steakhouse by the airport, right behind the Sheraton. Classy and trendy atmosphere, attentive staff and delicious food. Great for a family dinner! If you get a seat by the window, you get an exciting view of the airplanes. The only downside is the service was a bit on the slow side. We were there on Father's Day so it was a full house. My friends had asked me to go to Chopped Steakhouse for a long time but i had made a number of excuses not to go . but i finally decided to go yesterday and watch Holland Japan Fifa World cup match. My waitress was not feeling well and could be she did an awesome job for some one who was deftly ill. Everyone was so friendly. Lets get on to the food i started with a caesar starter salad and it was good but that was the largest starter salad i had ever seen, for the mains i had the Filet mignon done medium well and had a baked potato which was not on the main menu but it was on the secret menu and had sauteed mushroom. One thimg about chopped is that i was able to see the meal being prepared and you can tell the care that chefs took with the preparation. This was a magnificent meal and it was topped off with a strawberry cheesecake and a latte. this was one of the best meals i have had so far in 2026. My husband and I were visiting Toronto for a weekend and wanted a nice lunch after we landed. A quick Google search and we found Chop Steak House. He had a steak and I had the burger. We shared fries and I also had a Caesar Salad. I do not know what they put in that salad. It was DELICIOUS the capers just set it off. The burger was very good as well. We came here because it was close to our hotel, and we were staying an extra night because of a delay so we were clearly frustrated but decided to make the best of it and try this spot. Parking is plentiful in the plaza, so no worries there. Greeted and seated by Sierra, really good start to the evening. Super professional. As Sierra knew we dealt with a travel nightmare, Meagan (I may have spelled this wrong, forgive me if so!) came by with an amuse bouche for the table, a wonton crisp with tuna tartare which was a beautiful touch. Robin was our server, he was helpful with making some recommendations for us and we started out with drinks and a "community bread" which means every order of bread allows a meal to the needy. Very cool option. Bread was freshly warm, tasty. Our group got the steak bites, Caesar Salad, and I got the French Onion soup. Loved the soup, my colleagues enjoyed the salad but the steak bites had some inconsistency with texture and doneness. They're marinated and Robin recommended a couple options for dipping sauces which went nicely. I got a couple good bites. For my main I got the center cut NY, with the trio of sauces and side of fries and veggies. For pricing, reasonable. Well I am not going to say it's the best prime rib I have ever had, but it is probably the best prime rib I've ever had at 11:45 PM. This place says they are open until 1 AM from Tuesday through Saturday and it is actually true, the kitchen is open too, and that is nice when you get into Toronto late at night and are hankering for some beef. A good supply of beers and liquors on tap also, and it's not terribly expensive either, at least by steakhouse standards. read more

Overall good place for food and drinks. Preston was great and she served us with fast service and a smile. The place is a little noisy, all open concept. It's a big place and the chairs are comfortable. The was a mix of food ordered, steak bites, soup, fish and steak. I wanted to love this place, especially with such high reviews. Plus, I love a good steak, but my experience was horrible to say the least. I don't want to bring the R-word, but I felt racism at this restaurant. My family was the only Asian family and the server, whose name is David, gave subpar service. He kept wanting us to get a drink, but we all wanted hot water. It was a cold day and none of us felt like drinking. I also noticed the service David gave to other tables compared to my table. We did not get any water in our table, or were we greeted by him for fifteen whole minutes. David was super friendly with others, but not so with us. The food was.... I ordered a well done steak, because I didn't want to eat anything raw, but my steak came out completely burnt!!! Super unacceptable and David didn't even come by to check how our meal was going. Overall, I did not enjoy my experience. And of course, I have unsubscribed to Chop's mailing list, even if they give me a free steak, I would happily go to The Keg, where their steaks are much tastier, service is friendlier, and I don't experience any racism. read more

Definitely a bit on the pricey side, but the food was well prepared and flavorful. Really good drinks. Really good burger. Burgers at a restaurant are always hit or miss. You keep thinking "how can they screw it up?" but a few dozen later, and there are so many ways I can tell you they can screw it up. Chop, though, does not do that thing. They have a juicy burger, with a great sauce, a celebration of the meat, which is only enhanced by the bun. There are just the right amount of fries (which is to say, not a lot - but enough that you can pick away while focusing on the large burger). It's a nice atmosphere. Server was attentive and polite. Service for drinks was quick but delivery of our food was a-little slow despite only a handful of tables occupied by the time we ordered. We ordered the Rib Eye and the Prime Rib and shared. The Prime Rib was slightly too rare despite asking for medium-rare, and there was sinew making it difficult to cut thru. Food - 4 stars Overall experience - 4.5 stars This review is for a 2023 Winterlicious dinner experience. Chop did Winterlicious the right way. It seized the opportunity to provide diners a glimpse of how dining at Chop was like. The online reservation process was seamless. The table was available on time. The services from greeters to servers were courteous and effective. And when it came to food, kudo to the management for curating a menu that mimicked the regular offerings, including regular size prime rib (9 oz), New York steak (12 oz), chicken, and scallops at discounted event prices. The cut of the NY steak was good and tender enough. My dining mate raved that the prime rib melted in the mouth. Even the Caesar salad was regular sized. There was no corner cut. The food took a while to arrive, and the wait staffs apologized for it. The management has also showcased how Chop is different from The Keg. Let's face it, steak dinners are not cheap, so a lot of people stick with the tried and true, places we know we get good food. At this Winterlicious, Chop demonstrates it makes a good special occasion venue. It shows us that the decoration and ambiance are cozy, pleasant and contemporary. And we would definitely consider returning to the Chop near our house for other special occasions. read more

This is our second time at this location. Actually chose the hotel due to the proximity to this restaurant. (Sheraton Toronto Airport). It's a great choice before flying out for vacation. Tuna Tataki is really good. The is a must have for us. Had the Prime Rib tonight. Good, but not great. Served with "gravy" on top. Menu said au jus but this was clearly thickened. Not technically au jus and not what I was hoping for. Lost a star for this. (I'm diabetic so I avoid flour when I can) I had the strip loin our last time here. Highly recommend. Next time I'll go back to steak. My wife had the scallops. Good, but lacked the ubiquitous colour associated with Maillard reaction. Cauliflower rice was tasty and had a nice texture. went with my lady during the Happy Hour between 3-6pm. Ambiance was great. It was actually not as busy as I expected it to be for the Happy Hour Period when we went so we were seated promptly. Monique our waitress was very pleasant and served as well. She actually remembered us from one of the other times we came so it made the whole interaction a great one. We had Steak Bites and Chilli Shrimp as the appetizer. Both were very good. Steak bites were very juicy and the Chilli shrimp was well seasoned. I had the Prime Rib with Fries for my main. I am not the biggest prime rib fan but mine was well done. No pink but still tender enough to chew and savoy. The sauces were a beautiful add on to the whole meal as well. My lady had the NY Centre Cut Steak which was well done. This was the best Well done steak I have ever seen made and it tasted great as well. It was not dry and tough. It was actually cooked very thoroughly and it was still juicy. Just the way I believe a well done steak should always be made. Her mashed potatoes were rich and creamy and also well made. 'Tapped' the Mule and it was okay. Crab cakes featured a top notch coating and an underwhelming, creamy, no crab to be found inner. Vegetable tempura was good (features mushrooms btw). The main dish was more than 30 minutes wait after that. When the steak and potatoes arrived, they were lukewarm to cold at best. The complimentary bread was warm and addictive. I did hear complaints from my party about how garlicy the Ceaser salad was and that they tasted garlic for a week after having this salad. I skipped the salad and went straight to my delicious $32 petite prime rib. It was tasty and well prepared and came with grilled asparagus. For dessert, I got the $14 dessert trio that comes with smaller version of the Caribbean rum cake, crème brulee and fallen chocolate soufflé cake. This was a great choice and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the chocolate soufflé. As an airport hotel steakhouse, Chop is decent. I was surprised at how busy it was! Lots of action on a Wednesday night. The French onion soup was jncroyable, but I was rushed through it as my prime rib was served while I was barely half finished the soup. Of course then the vegetables were not hot.
