Wow I can't believe I found the little Cuban hidden gem in downtown Orlando! The cutest little cafe full of breakfast and lunch options. I had the best croquetas de jamón in all of Orlando! One of the best cafe con leches and the most delicious spinach and cheese empanada. Don't forget to try all the different sauces too they're delicious. I will definitely be back soon!

The service here is excellent! I came in for breakfast to go and was immediately greeted by smiling employees. I had the BEC on Cuban bread and it was fantastic. The bacon is perfectly cooked and everything blended well. The questio is full and balanced sweet and savory. This is my second visit & I brought a friend. She had the potato ball and said it was the best she's ever had. I used the quick 15 minute loading parking out front to get in and out without a hassle. It's clean and inviting. I'll update my review when I go for lunch

Latin Square is a downtown Orlando gem! Latin Square opened a new location (North Orange Ave.) within walking distance from my office, and since then, it has become my go-to place for coffee in the mornings. The Cafe con Leche is the best, and it is strong (precisely what I need at 8 a.m.) and doesn't have a bitter aftertaste. The restaurant is large but only has a few high-top tables. Most people order to go, so that is not an issue. The décor is beautiful, with large rattan lighting pendants and an open concept. Towards the back, there's a juice bar. You MUST try the almond joy with cold brew; it is delicious! A few times, they had samples, and if you see them, give it a try. I promise you won't be disappointed. Another breakfast treat is the tequeños and quesitos, baked to perfection. Highly recommended too. I have not tried the lunch menu yet, but my coworkers can't stop talking about how good the sandwiches are, so I see an update of this review in the future. It would be good if they implemented a coffee reward program. Like buy 10 and get 1 free to reward their loyal clientele. Tip: it gets busy during lunchtime, so I recommend going a little before noon or after 1 p.m. if you don't like waiting in line.

I love this place! This is my go to for breakfast and coffee some days. They are always efficient and the food is always good and the coffee fresh and strong! This is a good quick place to pick up food. You can order online and pick up to avoid lines but honestly if you just want to pick up a coffee the wait is not as long as other coffee shops in the area. The prices are also very economical. I can get breakfast and large coffee for around $10. They also have great side items such as empanadas, potato balls, and croquetas. Definitely have to try this place out while downtown.

I am sorry but I ordered the pork special and I was so disappointed in everything the taste, there was none the food was very bland and I find it weird because Latin food is usually full of flavor. The beans were very bland and flavorless. The pork portion was so small for $16 dollars. Pork is the cheapest meat no reason for such small portion. The rice has the weirdest flavor I ever had and I been eating Spanish good my whole life. Maybe the sandwiches are better tasting but the food I had was not worth the trip.

The best restaurant in Downtown Orlando. Open for breakfast or lunch and it's ALWAYS delicious and always poppin! The staff is super friendly and always working hard so that the long lines go super fast. You get a ton of food for the price and It's literally always so good. Don't forget to check out their sauce bar at the back. They're also epic. There's not much indoor seating but plenty of tables outside for you to enjoy. It's small and simple inside but it's literally worth your time to try it. You won't be disappointed!

Very hard to find, it's in a building with a different street number! Just look for the courtyard and go to the right side. They were sadly out of breakfast food by the time I got there so I went with a sandwich instead. Nice and hearty, I ended up saving half for breakfast the next day. The shoestring potatoes in the sandwich were unexpected but they worked. The guava/cream cheese turnover hit the sweet spot. There aren't many options to get your veggies, but otherwise it looks like a great place for a cheap, filling lunch.

    Chicken Caesar Salad

I was told that I needed to try this restaurant, and it did not disappoint. I had the chicken Caesar salad, which I enjoyed. The portion size was pretty large, so the pricing was reasonable. I specifically enjoyed the chicken. It is a small space and has a lot of customers, so it can be hard to find a seat, so be prepared. Also, the tables were dirty, since so many people were coming and going, and I would have liked to have wipes available. I didn't see any, but maybe I just didn't see them. Overall, it has a decent amount of options to choose from. Again, I really enjoyed the chicken.

Delicious breakfast and lunch spot DT Orlando. The staff is super friendly, the sandwiches and sauces were on point and this is a hidden gem in the middle of DT. The food was actually quite traditional and the experience was overall great! I ate the Latin Square Special sandwiches and the banana inside it makes it even better than the cubano. I recommend it.

I believe it may have been the Havana Ballroom. There was plenty of food, drinks, and mingling. The Cuba Libre Restaurant staff were great, and the venue was well laid out and worked for this event very well. When we arrived around 6:30 PM on a Saturday evening for our event, we first mingled around the tables and near the cash bar. There were a bunch of large tables that we began to fill out. As our program began and announces made and awards given out, appetizers were passed out. We were offered Guacamole Cubano, Mama Amelia's Empanadas, and Shrimp Cocktail which we passed around to the entire table. Personally, I skipped the guacamole and shrimp dishes but absolutely loved the empanadas. Yum! Then, an individual Cuban House Salad was passed out with red wine vinaigrette. This was also quite tasty. Next came the entrees including a choice of Salmon Paradiso, Ropa Vieja, Citrus Chicken, or Paella Vegetariana. I was trying to decide between the Ropa Vieja (beef brisket) and the Citrus Chicken. While the Citrus Chicken sounded perfect, I asked the serving staff their advice, and they recommended the Ropa Vieja for a true taste of Cuba. I was happy that I did even though it may have been more heavy and with a kick than I was expecting. I'm still glad I ordered it though. It was wonderfully prepared! And then, everyone received Cuban Flan for dessert. The Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar celebrates Cuban heritage and explores Cuban flavors, music, art, and traditions. The mission of the restaurant is to provide an "escape" to Havana through exciting food and beverages and entertainment experiences to celebrate the Cuban people and their culture. Orlando hosts one of several of this restaurant around the United States. This restaurant is in the midst of the Pointe Orlando. You can find details on their website: https://cubalibrerestaurant.com/en/orlando. You can find menus, entertainment, blogs, make reservations, specials, and more. The Cuba Libre Restaurant is open for brunch on weekends from 12 PM to 4 PM, for dinner Monday through Thursday from 5 PM to 10 PM, Friday from 5 PM to 10:30 PM, Saturday from 4 PM to 10:30 PM, and Sunday from 4 PM to 10 PM. Happy Hour is at the bar and bar tables on weekdays from 5 PM to 6 PM and weekends from 4 PM to 6 PM. They have a special Chef's Tasting menu during dinner. They also host weekend nightlife and shows on Fridays with a live band from 7:30 PM to 12:15 AM and a DJ and dancing from 10 PM to 2 AM on both Fridays and Saturdays. It was certainly a great event and a fun place to be!

The ambiance and the warmth of the staff took me back to the Caribbean--it definitely felt like home. Their menu features a Latin-Asian fusion, and I loved every second of it. We started with the Krab Salad. It was incredibly fresh, topped with avocado, and the perfect way to open my appetite for a sushi night. Next were the Pork Fried Gyoza, served with a sticky, glossy sauce that has just the right amount of kick. They were so good, you won't be able to put your chopsticks down. The Escobar Roll combines shrimp tempura and churrasco--the best of both worlds. It's topped with sweet plantains, chimichurri sauce, eel sauce, and spicy mayo. I had my doubts about all those flavors working together, but I have no idea how they perfected that combination--they absolutely did. The Mar y Tierra Roll was recommended by our waiter, and I highly recommend ordering it in tempura. It gives the roll a completely different texture, and it's absolutely amazing. The Pollo Loco Roll is topped with sweet plantains and teriyaki sauce. It's simple, yet packed with flavor. We finished it all off with a crème brûlée. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I'd be enjoying one at a sushi restaurant, but it was the perfect ending to an incredible meal. If you're looking for creative sushi, unique Latin-inspired flavors, outstanding service, and an atmosphere that makes you feel like family, The Escobar Kitchen is definitely worth the visit.

We went on a Saturday night without a reservation and were still seated at a communal high top which we did not mind at all. We started with the alcapurrias and although they were on the smaller side the flavor was insane. For my main I had the mofongo and churrasco and wow. The best mofongo I have had. They put actual pieces of chicharrón inside which gave it the most incredible texture contrast. The churrasco was cooked to perfection and came already sliced into strips with an incredible chimichurri sauce on the side. My fiancé ordered the rice and beans with fried chicken and we loved every bite. The passion fruit juice was also amazing and a must order. The one thing to note is that our food took about 45 minutes to come out and our server did not check on us in the meantime for refills or to give us a heads up about the wait. That part could use some improvement. But the food was so incredibly good that we are absolutely coming back. Hidden gem that deserves way more recognition.
