They do pop-outs at differents places and gathering too. Staff is so friendly and helpful, they treat you like a family. Authentic Cuban food made from scratch. Food is so tasty, flavorful and fresh with generous fillings. Try the lil havana bowl with ropa viaja (shreded beef), the beef was tender and juicwith authentic cuban seasonings as well as the rice, beans and plantains. Also added a side of yucca en mojo (cassava with garlic sauce) so tender and juicy in garlic flavor. I was so excited to check out this new Cuban takeout window located off the beaten path in College Park. The online ordering system was super convenient and I was texted as soon as my food was ready. I arrived at the walk up counter and they opened the window and green to be my name! Super friendly! The food was perfectly packed in relatively environmentally friendly packaging... Using limited plastics. Most importantly it was delicious. The croquettes were super moist and crispy and my chicken bowl was packed with flavor... I really loved the sweet plantain bits. I wish that I could give them five stars, but their hours are a little challenging since they close at 2 PM Wednesday through Sunday. I wish that they opened at least one or two evenings. I can't even begin to explain how happy I am that Gnarly Cuban now has a brick and mortar. I've been following their journey since I first met them at a supper club and were doing pop ups around Orlando at marts and events. I got to go to La Ventanita during the Yelp Elite Event for Hispanic Heritage month and the mini empanada (I got the Gnarly Cuban empanada!), pastelito, and oat cortadito were all so incredibly fresh and delicious. Not only is their food great, but the way they interact with their customers, the music, and everything about La Ventanita just leaves you wanting to come back for more. Stopped by for a Friday Cafecito Break at The Gnarly Cuban's Ventanita location. This was for a Yelp Elite Experience. In addition to the Yelp items I ordered one of each of their empanadas a hibiscus tea and a dessert from Bang Bang Bakehouse. This was my first time checking this spot out and the food was excellent and the staff were super friendly. This is a walk up window spot and is worth stopping by for some tasty food and great service. I'll be back again, pro tip, call ahead and pick up so you do not have to wait. Just took my friends over to the first ventanita in orlando!! The gnarly Cuban is the best! Great for a lunch in the to. Best coffee around town for sure! Marley was the sweetest with great energy. There is not a dining area but that's the point of a pick up window so we knew what to expect. We ordered the empandas, and coquetas with some cafe con leche. Everything was amazing! Had their "The Gnarly Cuban" empanada which is a cuban sandwich basically - but like FOR REAL! it really feels like a cuban sandwich but better because it's in a crunchy empanada shell!! Thennn the "Frita Cubana" is a great kinda spicy situation with chorizo and potato sticks that take the textures to the next level. 5 Stars for catering that made me look like a great host! I was planning a baby shower and needed to find some catering. Luckily I've had the pleasure of enjoying The Gnarly Cuban at pop-ups from East End Market, to Golden Hour Wine, to many a Yelp event. As a girl from Miami, I value TRUE Cuban food. Like, don't come at me with bland black beans, friends. I knew that TGC is owned and operated by two fabulous Cuban gals who always get their flavors right. I went to their website and filled out the form for catering. From there I heard back very quickly with the catering menu options and Marly and I got on the phone to finalize the details. I was super thankful that she was able to steer me in the right direction in terms of amount of food for a group of 25, because I had no clue. Marly and Nina showed up with all the platters, serving utensils, bamboo plates, and recyclable wooden sporks we'd need. I ended up going with 60 mini empanadas (jackfruit, chicken, picadillo, and the Cuban), their hearts of palm ceviche (vegan), papa rellenas, and mini guava and cheese pastelitos. Everyone was talking about the food and these gals made me look GOOD! Let me take a moment to speak on the empanadas though. These are better than any empanada I've had in Orlando. Though us Latinas are prone to overblowing things, this is not an exaggeration! The difference here is the filling. They came with individual cups of garlic aioli, but you truly didn't need them because the fillings were so incredibly seasoned. I'm talking chicken that had tang- like the kind I grew up with. Their use of vinegar, spices, and salt is magical. Again, there isn't another empanada in Orlando I can eat without a sauce or lime wedge to add flavor. The Cuban food is okay, nothing like the good stuff you can get down in South Florida or even Tampa... What I found the most annoying was the pricing for two papa rellenos, two chicken empanadas and three croquettes is somehow $30 I can see around $15 or so for that amount of food (based on my expectations from other Cuban places that I frequent) but not what they charged me... Being a pop up they don't even have the business overhead of a storefront, feels a lot like a hustle to me. My recommendation would be to skip it and spend your money on a nice steak dinner from Linda's La Cantina you can get for the same price. read more

Amazing food! I tried it while they were at the Grape and the Vine, and loved it! I ordered a PoYo Rice Box and it was so so good. Very fresh and cooked right.
