I finally made it out here and I'm afraid I'm OBSESSED!!! I ordered a cafecito, a hibiscus tea, and a breakfast empanada and holy cow 10/10, five stars, round of applause. I absolutely love their cafecito packaging and the fact that it's made with amor. The vibe/energy was so good, the owners were so kind and welcoming, and I truly loved the location overall. You can definitely tell that this business is community oriented and cultivates a good environment for visitors! Thank you so much for the experience!

"La ventanita" at Gnarly Cuban the best cuban food in Orlando, if I can give more stars i will. This is a hidden gem,you must try if you are in Orlando area, finally they open their own space. They do pop-outs at differents places and gathering too. Staff is so friendly and helpful, they treat you like a family. Authentic Cuban food made from scratch. Food is so tasty, flavorful and fresh with generous fillings. Try the lil havana bowl with ropa viaja (shreded beef), the beef was tender and juicwith authentic cuban seasonings as well as the rice, beans and plantains. Also added a side of yucca en mojo (cassava with garlic sauce) so tender and juicy in garlic flavor. The chicken empanada was golden, crispy and savory goodness and it comes with garlic souce on the side. If you are crawing for bold Cuban flavors this spot hits the mark.everything was comforting and flavoring in every bite

I was so excited to check out this new Cuban takeout window located off the beaten path in College Park. The online ordering system was super convenient and I was texted as soon as my food was ready. I arrived at the walk up counter and they opened the window and green to be my name! Super friendly! The food was perfectly packed in relatively environmentally friendly packaging... Using limited plastics. Most importantly it was delicious. The croquettes were super moist and crispy and my chicken bowl was packed with flavor... I really loved the sweet plantain bits. I wish that I could give them five stars, but their hours are a little challenging since they close at 2 PM Wednesday through Sunday. I wish that they opened at least one or two evenings. Can't speak to the ambience because I didn't even go inside... But the outside window was fast and convenient. Looking forward to coming back and trying more from the menu! Great new spot!

I can't even begin to explain how happy I am that Gnarly Cuban now has a brick and mortar. I've been following their journey since I first met them at a supper club and were doing pop ups around Orlando at marts and events. I got to go to La Ventanita during the Yelp Elite Event for Hispanic Heritage month and the mini empanada (I got the Gnarly Cuban empanada!), pastelito, and oat cortadito were all so incredibly fresh and delicious. Not only is their food great, but the way they interact with their customers, the music, and everything about La Ventanita just leaves you wanting to come back for more. We're pretty dang lucky to have this here in Orlando!

Stopped by for a Friday Cafecito Break at The Gnarly Cuban's Ventanita location. This was for a Yelp Elite Experience. In addition to the Yelp items I ordered one of each of their empanadas a hibiscus tea and a dessert from Bang Bang Bakehouse. This was my first time checking this spot out and the food was excellent and the staff were super friendly. This is a walk up window spot and is worth stopping by for some tasty food and great service. I'll be back again, pro tip, call ahead and pick up so you do not have to wait. Thanks for putting on an Elite Experience and for the tasty food.

Just took my friends over to the first ventanita in orlando!! The gnarly Cuban is the best! Great for a lunch in the to. Best coffee around town for sure! Marley was the sweetest with great energy. There is not a dining area but that's the point of a pick up window so we knew what to expect. We ordered the empandas, and coquetas with some cafe con leche. Everything was amazing! Highly recommend stopping by.

First, follow them in IG so you know where they are at! They pop-up at different spots and markets! I truly am so excited for them to open their own place! Had their "The Gnarly Cuban" empanada which is a cuban sandwich basically - but like FOR REAL! it really feels like a cuban sandwich but better because it's in a crunchy empanada shell!! Thennn the "Frita Cubana" is a great kinda spicy situation with chorizo and potato sticks that take the textures to the next level. For $7 bucks each, I shared with my husband and I would not hesitate to go wherever they are to grab a few more!! Looking forward to trying their other flavors and desserts as well! Love supporting local and these ladies are killing it!! 10000% recommend!

Best empanadas; fresh, fast, and tasty what's not to love? They close at 2pm so make sure you get here- a little pricey but honestly grocery are expensive now a days. Customer service was amazing- the owner makes a mean hot sauce but not available all the time.

So happy to see the Gnarly Cuban in a more permanent location now! Marley and Nina are not only awesome people and so easy to talk to, but they really bring that Cuban authenticity to their food. The bowl with ropa vieja was exploding with flavor, and the gnarly Cuban empanada is divine! Their garlic sauce is everything you want a garlic sauce to be, absolute perfection. They also cater and still do pop ups around town at different events, and they have more event ideas up their sleeves which I can't wait for!

I had always heard the hype around TGC in the market community and finally had the chance to try them! The workers that helped me were incredibly sweet, welcoming, conversational, and the food was fantastic! Lots of flavor, fresh, filling. I got the Havana box but people are always raving about the empanadas so try those!

The food has always been GREAT. The service and staff have always been great. They are not overly priced and they offer a good amount of food for what it is you are paying for. Flavor profiles are great. I am creature of habit, so I get my usuals when I order here. Among those usuals include the yuca fries, beef empanadas, guava and cheese empanada (when I want something sweet), the plantains, the tostadas, and I also enjoy their bowls. I've never had their burgers or some of their other platters, but I know those that have and they have yet to be disappointed. Being that Super Rico is located on the ground level of the parking garage my job uses, it is a restaurant I frequent. They are pretty quaint inside with limited seating, but they do have a good amount of outdoor seating with covered umbrellas. So, as long as the summer rain isn't too heavy, it is usually quite nice sitting outside to eat. They will also set up screens outdoors when there are major games, like they did for the World Cup. So, if you're ever looking for a spot to watch sports, they definitely do accommodate.

Being part of the parking structure doesn't mean that they validate your parking. If you can find street parking, definitely do that instead. I had the churassco med-well. It came with two sides, I had the tostones and salad. It was alright, but I definitely had better. I ordered it to eat it there and they put all the sauces in to-go containers, which was weird. The sauces were in such tiny containers, you definitely would need more. My friend got the mushroom arepa and a side of the sweet plantains that she really enjoyed. Service was good. The girl taking our order was super nice and polite. It was more like one step up from fast/food and self-served. You order at the counter and they give you a number for your table and they bring out the food to the table and you clean up after yourself.

There is a bit of a language barrier but the owner was very sweet and helpful when describing her baked goods; they also have dine in options, as well a sandwiches! The empanada dough was perfectly crisp and light, with a slight saltiness to it, which helped to enhance the fillings flavor; my favorite was the beef empanada (i forgot to take a picture ). The flavor wasnt heavy tasting which I loved alot. I wanted to like the spinach one as much as the beef one, but it did lack the savory punch I was looking for. The guava pastry kind of reminded me of the chinese sugar donuts just with lotss of guava filling in it; super delicious and not too sweet! The dulce de leche was the yummiest pastry I had; its not like other dulce de leches where it just tastes heavily of condensed milk. This was so light and fluffy.

Let me first say, they are absolutely delicious. The only reason I gave them a 4 is because they only sell empanadas and only have a few options. I have been to other empanada places and their options are massive. I would love to see more available here, maybe it's on a rotation, I'm not sure. They also did not have any dips for them. For the two we ordered I think a garlic style dip would have gone well. We decided to try the chicken and cheese as well as the Cuban. Again, they were fantastic! The chicken and cheese was chopped chicken and very good. I did not really taste cheese so it must have been mixed in. The Cuban was fantastic, it had pieces of pickles inside as well. This one would have been great with a mustard type dip to complete the Cuban sandwich flavor. But we would order both again and again. Their empanadas are also baked, not fried. I do prefer a fried but these were good. My only other issue was they were not labeled, she put both in one bag so we did not know which was which. The flavors were similar at first so it was hard to tell. It really was not until we tasted the pickle that we knew which was which. Overall these are fantastic tasting empanadas, and this from someone who prefers them fried. The person working was not the most friendly, and reading other's reviews, they must have had sauces and we were just not offered. We will however, continue to visit ever time we head to Plant Street. It is such a simple dish, easy to carry around Plant Street and just really good.
