They have high potential, but it took forever to get our food and the restaurant was maybe 20% occupied. Ambience was not very good while we were there - a couple was having loud FaceTime calls and then watched videos together that the rest of the restaurant guests got to listen to as well. We went on a Saturday morning around 10 AM. The wait was a bit less than 15 minutes. Becky was our waitress she was very attentive, nice and respectful. We never had to look for her since she was always checking in on us making sure we had everything we needed. For food we ordered The Grizz, classic French toast, and sprinkle cakes (off the kids menu). For drinks we had coffee, water and orange juice. The plates were huge, my sibling and I shared the grizz and French toast. We had leftovers to take home and left FULL. During the meal, the grizzly bear mascot came and we were able to take pictures with it. It was such a nice and cute thing to enjoy while you're eating. Throughout the meal the manager, Art, came twice to ask if we needed anything. He was also very kind and informative. He said they bring out the mascot based on the amount of people in the restaurant and if there are a decent amount of kids. He also said typically they will have a 2 hour wait, are open 365 days a year including holidays like Christmas and have a weekly M-F special for 6.99. The atmosphere is very rustic and homey. They also have a little shop at the entrance that is bear theme. I would definitely go again. Way better than ihop or dennys. read more

Don't waste your time. Food took forever to come out and then the biscuits and gravy were cold. On top of that, we ordered avocado toast and it was burnt to a crisp with them attempting to hide the burnt toast by spreading the avocado more than necessary. It took nearly as long for them to bring out the redone plates and with no apologies. It was so disappointing. The grumpy maitre told me they could seat me but couldnt serve us for at least 35-40 minutes!! Got the prime rib, not impressed. It might as well been roast beef, and it was dry on top of that. The waiter came past when we had our mouths full and asked how it was and turned around and left. Never came and refilled our drinks, and then came out put the.check on the table, and left, I had to get up and go to the waiter station and get a to go box. When paying I believe it was the manager cashing me out asked how things were I told him he said he would talk to the waiter and seemed very disinterested. Food was really good, I'll give it that. My family enjoyed the actual food itself. But good god, the service is actually terrible. The waitstaff seemed fine and at first, very responsive to taking our orders and giving refills. After almost an hour wait time to be seated, my family ordered and waited an entire 45 more minutes for the food to come out. When we called our waitress to ask her when the food was out, she came back and said the manager would be here to talk to us shortly. Next thing you know, a man approached the table, said he was the manager, and apologized for the wait time and said our orders were coming out shortly. After a couple minutes, they brought 3 of our 4 meals ordered. 2 of those 3 meals were WRONG so they had to be sent back to be done correctly. One of our meals never even made it out of the kitchen. After a few minutes, we asked the waitress where the last order was. She didn't even remember what it was and said it would come out soon and apologized for the wait. We got fed up and canceled the last order and split our 3 plates amongst us 4. We were really annoyed at this point. We asked to speak to the manager. The poor waitstaff apologized and gave us the most courteous service and said they knew we were upset and that they were doing the best they can. I can see in their eyes they were trying their best. The waitress said she told the manager and that he'd be out to talk to us. Instead, they tried to shut us up by closing out or tab and ignoring anything we'd have to say. I personally walked up to the manager and said he was insanely unprofessional and that I could've spent less money for better service at McDonald's. He said that he made up for the last meal never coming out by not charging me for it. I said that's not the point and that doesn't make it right. He said nothing more and turned his back to me. The food here is great, but the service is absolutely horrible. Don't blame the waitstaff. Blame that pathetic excuse for a manager. At one point, I was complaining about how much of an idiot the manager was to the waitstaff. They said they knew and were keeping tabs of all the things he's said and done and is going to let the general manager know on their visit later in the week. read more
