The large airy fresh taco shell with all the fixings. Love this taco.

This local bar & grills food is outstanding. The menu choices are unique, made fresh, prices are reasonable & service is fast. See pictures below & the fish taco was the best I have ever had. The taco shell was large, airy & freshly made. Old fashions were muddled & ver good. We will be back.

Love this place and still love it with the new owners !!! Servers and staff are all SO friendly. The food so far has been delicious and I love that they are trying new things with the menu and adding new stuff. The vibe of this bar is the best thing. Welcoming, cozy, rustic, etc. Our favorite place to go !!!! Can't wait to go more and try some more food. Bloody Mary is delicious as well!

This is a great surprise. New owners, servers, etc. took a large group there and all were satisfied. I'm sure you will too!

The food here was really good. Best pizza I've had in years. Atmosphere, prices, and service were also top notch.

We found this place by chance and so walked in without reservations. They initially turned us away…read morebut with further discussion and a few cocktails at the bar eventually made room to accommodate us. As with many cases this season they were very short staffed and trying to offer good service to those that had made reservations. Our server had several tables including one of 16 people. I can't believe how good the service ended up being with Karen our waitress. As a seasoned vet in this Industry she was on top of everything. Additionally the food was Breyer than I had hoped for. We all started with the salad bar which was clean and organized. They did end up running out of ranch dressing which was a disappointment but that was the only thing that fell short the entire evening. After the salads the four of us has the French onion soup which was better than most I've had. This was followed by our main course. Two of us has the 10 oz. Fillets, on had the 16oz ribeye and lastly one liver and onions. All the steaks were fabulous and the liver was also good from what I hear. There was no rushing, Karen our server timed out servings perfectly and the evening turned out spectacular. A big kudos to the Manager for getting us in. This will be a part of our rotation moving forward. Don't forget to make reservations!

We've been coming here for 14 years, but after our latest visit, we won't be back. A few years ago,…read morethe restaurant changed ownership. They remodeled the interior, and while some may like the update, we miss the old-school supper club atmosphere. The menu has also been cut down and is now pretty bare bones. The service was slow even though the restaurant wasn't busy. We waited over 30 minutes for our food, and they forgot our appetizer. The prices have increased, but the quality and value have definitely gone in the opposite direction. I always ordered the Pub Special and could never finish it because the portions were so generous. This time, the portion was noticeably smaller, the bun was soggy, the sandwich had no flavor, and the au jus was only lukewarm. To make matters worse, fries are now an extra charge. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. A place that was once one of our favorites has lost the atmosphere, quality, and value that kept us coming back for so many years. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

So let me start off with we have been to MANY, probablye 100's of bars and restaurants in this…read morecounty and surrounding counties. We have stopped here for drinks a few times. Food a few times. Always was fine. Average bar. We liked it because it was on the water. This last time we stopped... we sat on the outside patio. We had our dog with and asked if he could sit on the patio. The female bartender said "of course". There was another couple and a family sitting outside who also had a dog. Our dog was laying next to me quietly and is extremely well behaved. Barely lifts his head. One of the workers, a 30-40 yr old man with dark hair, asked the other bartender "do you think I can make this bottle cap hit that dog"? I was sitting slightly turned from him and ignored him. I did not think he would actually do it. Well, he did. He began flicking bottle caps at my dog who was laying peacefully! After the third one I turned around and said "excuse me? What are you doing?" He said "I wasn't trying to hit him don't worry I'd never do that" and quick ran inside like scared sheep. Didn't show his face after that. I could not believe what had happened. I think this bar is fine and everyone who works there is nice BESIDES THAT GUY. What the he11 is wrong with him? How rude can you be ? Who does that ? What a weirdo.

I've been frequenting Timbers every Friday for their fish fry for the last 8+ years or so. To me,…read morethey have the best fish fry in the north woods by far, and it proves that you don't have to go to a fancy supper club to get good eats. The ambiance is a typical north woods bar, you can either eat at the bar or sit at one of the tables in their 'dining room' which houses the slot machines, dart board, and a few other games for kids. They have a wide selection of brews on tap, and have a full bar. The thing that I really love about this place is that everyone who works here is extremely nice. You can tell they love what they do, they're proud of where they live, and they have great senses of humor. Just overall great conversationalists. Now to the food, my favorite part: For appetizers, you HAVE to try their jalapeño poppers. They're the best poppers I've ever had. I believe they are coated in potato breading and they have an awesome zing to them. Never had a popper like it and I'll always compare others to the ones at Timbers. For lunch/dinner, their hamburgers are incredible as well. Super juicy smash burgers on a fluffy bun with the best French fries in the world. A perfect pick me up during snowmobile season or on a nice summer day. On Friday, this is THE spot for fish fry. My family and I have tried so many fish fry places over the year trying to find our favorite, and each time we stray we always leave disappointed wishing we would've just got Timbers instead. To me, what makes their fish fry so great is their portions are extremely generous, you get 4 pieces of fish, a handful of fries, two slices of buttered rye bread, coleslaw, tartar sauce, and a lemon wedge. The way their fish is prepared and battered is my favorite. It doesn't have that super thick, almost pancake batter like breading that tastes like a corn dog. Instead it's very lightly breaded so that it's fish forward with a nice crunch. This is just my preference, but to me, it's the best fish fry I've ever had. I genuinely love this place so much, but I must say that it's obviously super crowded and loud during the tourist seasons. If that bothers you, you can always call in a takeout order so don't like that deter you from checking this place out!
