We ordered a few items to share and enjoyed a few glasses of wine while catching up. Our waiter recommended the Albert Bicho Pinot Noir and it was really good. We shared the signature board, crispy calamari, and crab cake. We weren't a fan of the green olives but loved everything else. The calamari was a bit over fried but we loved the remoulade sauce it was served with. I enjoyed the crab cake there was plenty of crab meat. As the night went on the place began to fill and the ladies who came in for the live performance liven up the warm space and really set the vibes as did a version of Sade. This is a cute spot for date night or just catching up in the Memorial City center area.

The boardroom is connected to the Moran, but new owners have taken over and brought all the vibes to this intimate wine bar that opened up a little over a month ago! If John, the owner, is there be sure to say hello! Our server, Jonatan was five stars! Gave us great, friendly service! He explained to us different wines and we ordered a BYO charcuterie board! The entire experience was a delight! The bar does give intimate vibes but it's great for groups or a GNO or even a date! They also offer grab-n-go bouquets, and a mini fridge that offers other beverages and snacks to go!

This family-owned classic has been a westside favorite since 1985, and it's easy to see why - everything from the welcoming atmosphere to the impeccable food screams old-school elegance with modern perfection. The interior is charming and intimate: soft lighting, grapevine accents, cozy booths, and a wonderfully quiet ambiance that's perfect for meaningful conversations (no shouting over loud music here!). It's romantically rustic yet upscale, making it ideal for date nights, anniversaries, or business dinners. The steaks are the star - dry-aged USDA Prime, seared on a blazing hot grill for that incredible crust. My filet mignon was cooked to absolute perfection: tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. The cowboy ribeye was equally outstanding, massive and richly marbled. Sides like the famous creamed spinach and loaded baked potatoes were indulgent and spot-on. We started with the gumbo (rich and soul-warming) and ended with the triple chocolate mousse cake - heavenly! The service was top-tier: attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm without being overbearing. The award-winning wine list (Wine Spectator excellence for decades) paired beautifully with our meal - our server nailed the recommendations. Lynn's outshines the big chains with its personal touch, consistent quality, and fair pricing for such premium ingredients. It's a true Houston treasure that feels like stepping into a more refined era of dining. If you're in west Houston, this is a must-visit. I'll be back again and again!

My group was warmly welcomed and seated in the restaurant which was about one third full. From the 2025 HRW menu, I ordered the house salad to start with, the duo of beef medallions for the entree and then strawberry romanoff ice cream for dessert. First to arrive were a couple of bread baskets with butter for the table. The bread was warm, soft and delicious. Then my salad appeared with tomatoes, cucumbers and mushrooms on the bed of greens with a herb dressing mixed in. It was served on a cold plate with some cracked pepper added at the table and was a quality tasting salad. Shortly after that the entrees arrived. My plate had 2 large beef medallions topped with a Bernaise and Peppercorn sauce on top. Also on the plate were broccoli and roasted potatoes. The beef was tender and the sauce added excellent flavor. It was a very good 3rd course. Finally the strawberry ice cream concoction was served in a tall glass with strawberrys and whipped cream on top. The strawberry romanoff ice cream was delicious and a nice finish to a nice meal. Also our table service was excellent and professional, I am glad I visited Lynn's and thank them for participating in HRW. We all agreed that it was an excellent experience. I need to return for dinner.

From the moment you step through the doors, the atmosphere wraps around you like a tailored tuxedo. It is a fabulous retro escape that feels less like a restaurant and more like a high-stakes scene from Casino Royale. The Vibe The decor strikes that perfect balance of mid-century glamour and modern sophistication. It's moody, elegant, and impossibly cool. Whether you're tucked into a plush booth or perched at the bar, the "James Bond" energy is palpable. The Menu * Cocktails: These are the stars of the show. They aren't just drinks; they are gorgeous works of art. Precisely balanced and served in stunning glassware, each sip feels like a luxury. * Food: The menu offers delectable southern options that go far beyond standard "bar food." Everything we ordered was seasoned to perfection and presented beautifully. The Service This is what truly sets the place apart. The staff is professional and on point every single time. They are attentive without being intrusive. Bottom Line: Whether it's for a high-end date night or a sophisticated nightcap, this is an incredible experience from start to finish. Don't miss out.

Bar Bludorn, unfortunately, is not there yet... and that contrast is impossible to ignore. Let's start with the good: the food is delicious. An honest 8/10. You can absolutely get a fantastic filet mignon here, arguably one of the best in the city. The kitchen knows what it's doing, no question. Now the problem: the service. For a restaurant charging Bludorn-level prices, the hospitality was shockingly absent. Our server seemed completely disengaged, as if we were an inconvenience rather than guests. There was no warmth, no attention, no sense that anyone cared whether we were enjoying ourselves, or even planned to come back. It felt transactional at best, indifferent at worst. Bar Bludorn positions itself as a polished, elevated dining experience, but the service told a very different story. When the hospitality misses this hard, it overshadows even good food. And in Houston, where you can get incredible steaks, thoughtful service, and better value all over the city, there's simply no reason to settle. Bludorn remains exceptional. Bar Bludorn, at least for now, feels like a concept still finding its footing while charging full price for the destination it wants to be. Until the service catches up to the ambition, we won't be returning.

We stumbled upon this spot & although the food isn't the best, the service makes up for it. Once we entered, the server greeted us right away. I'm not sure what her name was, but she was a sweetheart. Making sure our drinks were filled and we never ran out of complimentary garlic breads. The clientele seems to be on the older side and it looks like they've been regulars for a long time. We were the youngest people there and mind you we ain't spring chickens ourselves. But I'm happy to see George's has a lot of loyal customers. While the portions are huge and more than enough to take home, the prices are a bit steep for my liking & it doesn't match the quality either. The food is decent but not worth 25-30 dollars with those dishes. My date ordered the chicken Parmesan with pasta and I got my basic spaghetti with extra meat sauce. Both dishes were generous especially mine. They were not playing around on my dish. It was so much meat sauce that you couldn't even see any pasta. I thought his chicken Parmesan and my spaghetti was very strong in the tomato sauce department maybe a little too much. I like mine to have other seasonings to balance the acidity from the tomato sauce. Overall it was not a bad meal, it was so much food I had enough for lunch the next morning. The free garlic bread came out hot and fresh, fluffy on the inside and flaky on the outside. The service is warm and welcoming & even the owner came by to check in on us. Will I come back? Yes.
