Absolutely the Best beer around thanks to the creative bold flavors and fresh ingredients grown on site. The owners are delightful and the crowd is always a happy vibe. There's nothing like the live music which creates an incredible raw energy, bringing everyone together as if they're family. And Arlo the working farm dog? Seeing him completes the experience! I'd give them 10 stars if possible!

We loved every beer we tried, and we tried a lot. The standouts were the orange crush seltzer, mango wheat ale, and the half cab! The service was quick and the servers were super friendly. The location was the star of the show though. Beautiful scenery and outdoor space equipped with yard games. Highly recommended!

The building itself is beautiful, and the indoor space is well designed with a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, we were disappointed to learn that the playground and sand pit had been removed because, as we were told, parents were not adequately supervising their children. That was a major reason we chose this location, so it was disappointing. Another concern was the outdoor patio area, which is immediately adjacent to a steep drop-off. With young children running around, it made it difficult to relax, and we noticed that many parents weren't closely supervising their kids. Thankfully, I had brought some toys to help keep my children occupied, but the outdoor space didn't feel particularly family-friendly. If you're looking for a place to meet friends, enjoy a drink, and relax with other adults, this would be a great choice. However, if you're specifically looking for a kid-friendly destination, it no longer met our expectations.

So relaxing. During the winter, we were there for trivia several times. That was always fun! Now the food and beverage... Their pizza is awesome. Doesn't matter what kind you get, it's delicious. The beer is also wonderful. There is a wide range to choose from, and my boys have liked them all. I've always had good service, and the place is always clean. In addition, it's located right off the Rail Trail in New Freedom. Great place to stop after a walk or a bike ride!

They have something for every palate, and I appreciate that they rotate styles so often. My personal favorites are the Polar Vortex IPA (hoppy, bitter, and seriously bold) and the Coal Car Snickerdoodle Coffee Stout--which is a phenomenal, dark dessert beer that's perfect for the colder months. The taproom is huge and welcoming, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It's truly family and dog-friendly, which makes it an easy choice for a Saturday afternoon. Pro tip: If you're coming from northern MD, hop on the NCR Trail near the brewery. It's a great spot to hit after a bike ride or a long walk. The team here is friendly, the glassware is always clean, and the atmosphere is relaxed.

In the barn portion, a real nice breeze kept coming through. I believe there are two bars and one food station. I ended up using only the bar in the barn as it was more convenient. Very quick service. I can't get over how the bar literally MOVES. It gave me a little motion sickness just looking at it. I feel like it's trippy, especially for those who choose to drink. They have a fridge with nonalcoholic drinks. Sprite, coke, Diet Coke, sugar cane orange soda, sugar cane black cherry soda, etc... It was not difficult to find a table at all. There were big round tables that could fit 8-10, long rectangular tables that could fit 8, and smaller tables that fit a couple. You cannot bring outdoor food or drinks! However, we talked to staff and our small cake was okay because it was a sweet. Food was better than I expected. I truly expected mediocre bar food. We ordered online but expected them to text or call when it was ready. We waited for over 30 minutes.. probably because we got caught chatting with family. No call or text. But when we explained the situation, the food was ready and it was HOT! Rayroni pizza 7/10: I wish it were a bit spicier with the hot honey but it was definitely sweet and delicious Cheesesteak egg rolls with chipotle sauce 10/10: If you only buy one thing from this place, let it be this! So crispy and crunchy. Perfect snack !! Pretzel bites with mustard and cheese 8/10: Mustard was meh but maybe that's because I'm not a mustard fan. Cheese didn't taste cheap and had a decent color. Like it wasn't a bright yellow or orange that was suspicious or anything. The pretzel bites themselves weren't too hard or soft. Last but not least, the sugar cane sodas were okay. I feel like they didn't have as much fizziness as your normal sprite or coke. I would absolutely come here again. Good vibes. It didn't leave me feeling hot and sweaty like a club. Coming back with some friends!

Only weird thing about the bar was the bartender seemed kind of annoyed at everyone. We were able to grab a table and chairs outside but this is a good spot to bring chairs and a blanket just in case you can't find seats. There are rules about no outside food, no dogs, and keeping kids close - so it's a good idea to make sure you know all of this before visiting!

Of special note, on usually the last Thursday of the month, they host a great live music showcase featuring original songwriters, which makes for such a fun, laid-back evening. What really sets this place apart is how well it adapts year-round. In the winter, everything closes up cozy and heated, and when the weather's nice, they roll up the garage doors on the taproom to let the fresh air in. Out back, there's a spacious outdoor party venue plus the taproom and another group area available for private gatherings. The staff are always friendly and happy to give great recommendations for similar beers, and they'll even let you try a sample before you commit to a full or even a half pour. One of my favorite beers is Into the Limelight, but it is on rotation as they usually switch up what's on tap fairly often. It's also incredibly family-friendly. Kids can say hi to the farm animals, and in the fall there's a corn maze and various other seasonal activities. There's even a small playground onsite. Great music, great atmosphere, and something for everyone in the family. Highly recommend checking it out!
