Western Burger with regular fries
Johnny L.

It was busy when we got there around late lunch, but it gave us a bit of time to wander the other shops nearby as we waited. We sat at the bar and I really appreciated how friendly the bartender was and that he checked on us throughout our meal. My burger and fries here exceeded my expectations! The Western Burger that I got was great and it came out medium rare like how I wanted it. If you like sweet potato waffle fries (perfectly crispy), it's definitely worth the slight upcharge over the regular fries (slightly overdone, but still good). Really enjoyed this spot overall and wish we didn't live so far from it!

What an awesome place, this was to have our lunch after hiking in Franconia Notch. It's located off of route 112 in Lincoln, up and over and back down again on the Kanc. The location is just so beautiful, with some amazing views of the mountains. It seems to sit in a small strip mall, in the incredibly quaint little town center. They have a large parking lot and are handicapped accessible. They have a pretty good sized place, with a bar, many tables and some booths. They are a burger place but also have sandwiches, apps and more. You walk in and the sign says, please wait to be seated. The hostess took us over to a cute wooden booth and gave us a few menus. Our server appeared and introduced herself, wish I could remember her name, because she was a great server. We requested a few things, she was always polite and efficient. We ordered wings, and the portions sizes were just right. They were very good wings. I ordered a hot honey wrap, and my mother and sister got a BLT and a maple turkey sandwich, that reminded me of a panini. They have a monthly burger, that's unique and different. The location is prime real estate, and I'm sure they're busy every season, but especially in the summer time. Their food was very good, the drinks were very good, and the server was top notch! I would definitely recommend to others, and I'm sure we'll be back soon.

Needed a hearty meal after a day of adventure and stopped in for a burger. There's a bar, many tables, and also some wall seating in front of the window. Decent sized drink menu with drafts, cans, and cocktails. Staff quick and welcoming, always making sure you had a full drink and everything was good. Got the brie and bacon burger which was grilled beautifully. Soft and tender, with a great amount of brie and bacon. Also had some maple mayo and arugula which brought it all together on a tasty bun. Definitely great price value for how good it was. Fries also tasty and straightforward. Got the carrot cake for dessert which was soft and sweet. (Contains almond flour fyi) Overall a good spot for a great burger. Thanks

Found this spot on Yelp after seeing all the great reviews, so we decided to stop by after our hike. For a group of five, we only waited about 20 minutes, and it went by quickly since there are shops nearby to check out. Pro tip: definitely put your name on the waitlist ahead of time! Our server was awesome--super attentive and really helpful with the menu since they have so many options. The food took a little while, but that's understandable with how busy they were. Totally worth the wait though--the burger was cooked perfectly, super juicy, and came with a big pile of fries. The portions were generous for the price, and we paired everything with some local beers from their menu. Only downside is there are just two bathrooms for such a large place, so be ready for a short wait there too. Overall, a great spot to grab a solid meal and recharge after a hike!

While we were in Lincoln for a few days, Black Mtn Burger quickly seemed to rise to the top as THE place to get burgers in town. First, a cautionary word to the hangry: expect to wait. We clocked the time, and found that it was nearly forty-five minutes from the time we sat down to first bites (not including a half-hour wait for a two-person table). Given we were visiting on a Thursday night, I was surprised at how swamped the kitchen was. After a seven-ish arrival, we got our food after 8. It was hard to know if our appreciation of the burgers was because it was that good, or because our food was seasoned with the pangs of desperate hunger, but it's definitely tasty. I'm one of those despicable people who order their burgers 'well done', mostly because I love a good char. That usually means I'm sacrificing juiciness for browning, but I was surprised to find there was a good amount of both on my burger. I ordered the bacon and brie burger, which was a flavor match made in heaven. Service is friendly, if a little slow. We noticed neighboring tables paced their order with beers and appetizers, which definitely seems to be the better way to survive the wait.

Very impressed with our overall experience here! They were very busy when we stopped in but were able to get a table within 15-30 minutes which we were not expecting. No complaints on the service or food & overall great vibes! The burgers we got were absolutely delicious and 100% would go again. I got the Thai Chili Burger with a turkey burger and on a GF Udi's Bun which was awesome because Udi's is the best. My friend got the veggie burger and really enjoyed that as well. The fries were also delicious and you get a lot which is always a win. There is plenty of parking available outside and there's a lot of seating inside but it does get busy so expect a short wait especially if you go at peak meal times.

We found this place on Yelp when we were in the White Mountains, it had great reviews and we decided to give it a try. Ambiance - 5 stars. It's a pretty typical pub atmosphere and decor and it was clean. Service- 5 stars. Amber was our server and she took care of all our needs and requests. Drink selection- 5 stars. They have a full bar and I requested something not on the menu and they fulfilled my request. Beer menu- 5 stars. My husband loves to try different craft beers and he was very happy with the selection. Food- 5 stars. I got the Swiss burger and it was delicious and done perfectly, my husband had the Bratwurst sandwich and said it was delicious. We also decided to try the bread pudding and split one, it was perfect. We would definitely stop in here on our next visit!

Overall, we were very impressed by the restaurant. The burgers were to see and delicious. The service was attentive and polite. We got the burgers, when was the traditional burger and the other the hickory Burger. The fries were a nice surprise, and I definitely appreciate that they serve malt vinegar with it. The menu is fairly expensive, so if you don't like burgers there are 30 other options. Highly recommend you visit the candy shop a couple doors down from this restaurant. They have the most amazing fudge.

The first thing was the place was clean . The staff was friendly and service was fast. The food was very good even with a picky eater. Price was good.

Five stars all around! Great beer list, awesome service, and probably the best burgers around! I went with the mushroom Swiss. It was cooked perfectly, so juicy, and full of flavor! I had the regular French fries, which I loved. I also tried the waffle fries and onion rings, which were good, but I would probably get the fries again the next time.

I went out on a limb and got the burger of the month. The pizza burger was phenomenal, it had great taste and was cooked to medium rare perfection

From the moment you walk in, the experience is different. If there's a wait, you can help yourself to a complimentary cheese and dip tray while you wait for your table. Even if you're seated right away, you can still grab a plate for your table. It's such a nice touch that you don't see very often anymore. Their beer and cocktail selection is fantastic and changes with the seasons, so there's always something new to try. Then the famous homemade dinner rolls arrive and they're so good they put Texas Roadhouse rolls to shame! For an appetizer, we ordered the Mexican street corn dip. It had just the right amount of spice and was absolutely delicious. My wife had the blackened fish tacos, I ordered the Asian tuna bowl, and my daughter got the same bowl with salmon. Every dish was cooked perfectly, fresh, and full of flavor. Just when you think the meal is over, they come around after you pay with a heaping scoop of homemade white chocolate. It's another thoughtful touch that makes the experience memorable. The prices were more than fair, the portions were just right, and the service was excellent. Restaurants like this where you truly feel welcomed and can enjoy a genuine family dining experience are becoming harder and harder to find. 5/5 stars. The Common Man is an absolute must-try if you're visiting Lincoln or the White Mountains. We'll definitely be back!

Tonight, I was in the mood to try somewhere else and suggested we eat here. We are both so grateful we decided to drive to Lincoln. The drive across the Kancamagus makes it an enjoyable drive to get there and home.. Now onto dinner. Our waitress was very attentive to our needs, and even helped when we had questions, as they know their dishes well. My wife chose the Burrata Chicken dish , and was very happy with her choice. For me, I chose The Sweet Corn, Bacon Ravioli ..This meal was so flavorful and was beyond what I was expecting. As we took 1/2 our meals home and a load of their bread, this meal was one of the better meals we've had and yet, the price for this dinner was about the same as we'd spend most anywhere else.

He actually turned us on to a root beer drink that we have made on many trips since. During our trip yesterday, the hostess wasn't very friendly as person on earth. The hostess was not there when we got there so we waited a few minutes and then thought we needed to venture into the restaurant a little further to find someone. She then greeted us by telling us we should've stayed at the hostess table to be sat. She then continue to make slight comments such as when you're ready I can actually see you and things such like that I don't normally write reviews where I have to add that some of the staff members were rude, but I do wanna note that. The outdoor tables were fantastic--it was raining pretty good but they're very covered, we stayed plenty dry and enjoyed the open air (see pics for the view!). Our server, Jordan, was prompt, professional, and had some helpful recommendations. Versus most restaurants on the main road in Lincoln I'd say the prices here are a bit higher and the portions are a bit smaller, but the quality is a significant step up too. Salmon was great, and I really enjoyed the risotto in particular. The salad also had an apple cider vinegarette dressing that felt very homemade (I think there were little chunks of apple in it). The Rhythm Ciders were fantastic, the flight came with generous 5 ounce pours (the seasonal was my personal favorite). Our experience was far from that described in some of the negative reviews. Our server checked on us a number of times, the manager came by two or three times, and everything came exactly as ordered. Maybe there were some growing pains when they first moved to this space, but they've certainly been worked out now--this will be a go-to for us when we want a nicer dinner in the area. I would assume only service dogs allowed, as you need to walk through the restaurant to reach the outdoor seating and it's on a balcony.

Having stayed two nights at the Kancamagus Lodge, I found myself compelled to eat breakfast here both mornings. Brittanny's Cafe is a small, country-style restaurant located within the Kancamagus Lodge Main Building. Attached is an outdoor patio for dining in fair weather. In addition, a wall of windows allow views of the indoor pool facilities at this establishment. Upon entering, a hostess immediately sat us, provided us with menus, and took drink orders to begin the meal. The menu offers a variety of options ranging from omelets, pancakes, french toast, etc. Apparently known for their unique omelet ingredients, I opted to test out the relatively tame bacon, ham, and sausage omelet. The bf tried out one mixed with peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, and more! Unlike many places who dice their ingredients into itty bitty pieces, these omelets are filled with largely sliced portions. In a few words, they were fresh, cooked to perfection, and absolutely delicious. Day two, I ordered the pancakes with bacon, home fries, and toast. The pancakes were fluffy, light, and completely hit the spot. Bacon was cooked to near crispiness, home fries soft, flavorful, and plentiful. Lastly, the thickly sliced toast with butter was a perfect way to round out the meal. Bottomless cups of coffee made it a little easier to get going in the morning and search out the adventures easily found around every corner in NH. Service was quick and efficient, waitresses personable and accommodating. Almost all options on the menu were under $10. I wish I had the opportunity to eat here for dinner (as they do not appear to serve lunch) but will certainly keep this place in mind if I am to ever return in the future.
