I worked with Tiffany, who helped us put together a fantastic menu--and the BBQ was truly some of the best we've ever had. There were 10 of us renting a house in the mountains, and everything was delivered hot, ready to eat, and perfectly timed. Despite an icy driveway and a parked car blocking access, the delivery person walked up and down the driveway three times carrying boxes of food, all with a smile and great attitude. That kind of service really stood out. The amount of food was enormous, the price was very affordable, and every single person loved the meal. A bit out of the way, but well worth it from anywhere. Broad menu with five or six types of smoked meat including turkey and sausage. I had the "home run" with brisket, tri-tip, sausage, and burnt ends. I'm from the south and these were right up there with some of the best. Wife had filet mignon (rare). It was a large cut and cooked just right. She loved it. We ate and drank leisurely on the covered deck. Our waitress was attentive and friendly, even checking with the bar and kitchen several times for availability of desired items. Came here with the family after skiing. We arrived at 6pm on a holiday weekend night, were seated quickly. Roberta was our waitress, very friendly and the service was quick. This is a traditional BBQ place, the type you find in the South. They provide several homemade sauces with descriptions. I've lived in Texas, and this place is every bit as good as the BBQ I've had down there. They also have a solid kids menu, and an extensive dessert menu. I had the smoked turkey, mac and cheese, squash and corn bread. Everything was outstanding except the corn bread. We also had the carrot cake for dessert which was amazing. Overall, this place was so good we plan on coming back later this week. My son wanted to buy a bottle of the bbq sauce, but they were all out. For how much food you get, the prices were quite reasonable as well. Only slight downside is they don't have a waiting area, so they asked us to wait in the car. First timers here! Not the last!!! The fish and chips are a generous portion of fish, whole fillet!!! I had the 20 oz rib eye, it was the best steak ive ever had!!! I really enjoyed this restaurant. It seems to be busy most of the time. Though the staff arrived at the table quickly and was communicative they did not hover over you, at times, not present at all. The specials on the board as you come in all looked amazing. The food was delicious and nothing left on the plate. If I lived closer, I would certainly go back and make this a regular place. Was en route to Loon Mountain and saw their roadside sign. Wasn't expecting much, but what a pleasant surprise. Staff was so nice in this easy laid back atmosphere. But the food! So yummy!! I stopped here on the drive home from northern VT to RI last Sunday. The service was top notch! We had our two dogs in the car and we were Exhausted so we asked if we could do takeout while sitting on the deck with them. I was happy to see the deck was dog friendly and they had a grassy area in the back we could walk them. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. They brought water for our pups while we waited and offered us a drink and a refill! We felt welcome and will definitely return on our next trip to NH. We had a horrible experience with our dogs elsewhere in the area and really appreciated the hospitality. On another note, the food was so tasty and the portions were large. Stopped by here the first time on my snowmobile, it's always nice when you have good food trailside. They couldn't have been nicer people, I asked the runner / server what the owners history was with BBQ, and she replied "well I always....." unknown to me, she was in fact the owner. New England lacks good BBQ, other than Rusty Can in Byfield (which is the best hands down) there isn't a lot of good options. This place is one of the good ones, she explained what sauces paired with what meats, and those sauces were out of this world. Not just your sweet BBQ, but some hot, some real hot and my favorite mustard. I can't recommend the sampler plate for 2 enough, if there's four of you it acts as a good appetizer should. This place was so good, I took the whole family there the next day by car, the owner was on her way out, but was sure to table touch and say hello. I will certainly be back because it's that good. I've been to this place a few times a couple years ago and was not impressed, after coming back today I think it's going to become part of the regular rotation. The weight staff was friendly and funny, but yet still quirky, and the ambience is kind of neutral but comfortable. I would highly recommend anything that you can put their barbecue sauce. First, this place is PET Friendly!! So if your on vacation and looking for a great place where your dog is welcome, here it is! The food is fantastic!! My family ate items off the BBQ menu and it was great. My wife and I split the Grand Slam Platter and had plenty of leftovers. By far, the best part of the meal was the Tri-Tip. You don't often see it but this place cooks it to perfection. All and all a great place to eat if your in the area. The only downside, they were closed Sunday and Monday, so we couldn't return. read more

The food was great, the service exceptional and the people really attentive and friendly! They made the night a perfect start to the wedding weekend! Sorry Yelp it's been a while.....First off let me say this place was highly recommended from a friend. Well I thought they were my friend, because they steered us in the wrong direction. There is a plus, which was the girl at the hostess podium who was friendly and inviting. She took our to go order and said it would be about 15 minutes. After hitting up the NHLC store for a few bottles we came back and picked up our order. My wife ordered the Stanley Burger with added American cheese and lettuce and tomato (1.50 extra) which was as big as a kids burger from a happy meal. They threw in some extra Mayo and mustard because the cook said he prepares it the way it's described on the menu. Without the extra Mayo it would be a zero star review The burger itself had good flavor but not worth the 10$ we spent on it. The French fries were soft and limp could have spent a few more minutes in the fryer. I ordered the Fat Belly Texas Destroyer which was their House smoked "Texas" Angus Brisket, provolone, house made onion rings and Chipotle BBQ sauce and house made (stale) chips. The brisket was nice and tender with a good balance of fat to meat ratio. But No smoke flavor at all. Hopefully the Traeger smoker in the front grass area isn't what they cook it on? The sauce on it was way too sweet and really didn't make a difference on the sandwich. It might be a great local place to hang out for the locals but I wouldn't waste time patronizing this place. I've tried over and over to give this place another chance. It has repeatedly let me down. After their covid hiatus I decided they may revamped their menu and have something better to offer. The atmosphere was decent, we sat in the bar. Staff that seated us were friendly, as was the waitress we had (despite her disappearing for long periods of time when it wasn't busy). Drinks were good. The food was not good. The beef nachos were over cooked and had an aftertaste that ruined my appetite. Whatever kind of cheese they use is bland and doesn't seem to melt well. Caesar salad has a weird dressing and the consistency of the croutons is mush. I had two bites and left the rest. Everything else was just mediocre. Needless to say this is not the exciting local BBQ joint I was hoping to have in town. read more

What a great place! My husband & I were vacationing in Plymouth from Maine this past week and found this gem. We ordered full racks of ribs which were cooked perfectly. We went to the sunset grill on a Saturday afternoon and sat at the bar. There were four of us. It was mildly busy. We aren't locals. The bartender, a middle aged, gray haired woman took an instant dislike to us. She was rude and discourteous. Any questions we asked were answered with venom. She was all about her regulars. She made that apparent when we foiled her plot to buy them all drinks with our money. She over charged us by SIX DRINKS to the tune of over 50 DOLLARS. When we pointed out she was contrite. It took her 3 tries to get the bill correct. She can take her attitude and shove it. We'll never go back. read more

In the area on vacation, and found an ad for this place on our campground map! I saw raw bar on Fridays and (seeing it is Friday), we looked no further. Hungry from a long day of poor planning, we rolled in at 4:45 for drinks and an early dinner. The restaurant was EMPTY (yeah, it's early) but the bar was hopping, so we grabbed the last booth and ordered drinks. My Long Island Ice Tea must have come from a premix, based on taste and speed of delivery. I didn't order a second, opting for the house merlot which was fine. OYSTERS: 19/dozen. Decent deal, shucked right next to us, served on deep, dished out coated paper plates with cocktail sauce and extra horseradish. Earlier review noted paper plates and insufficient shucking/detaching from shells, but we didn't have any issues. Very good. Dinner is offered 2 ways, what they call a la carte (potato or veg?) or as a dinner, with salad, veg and potato. We only wanted salad and was able to do that at a la carte prices but it took some wrangling. Another odd pricing structure arose with the porterhouse on special for $19. You could get EITHER Montreal seasoning OR a few onion rings on top. Who charges for seasoning??? Steak was ok, cooked right but oddly sweet. We also got the fried clams and fried oyster combo. While I was initially off put by the seemingly small portion size, it was enough (and tasty, esp the oysters) since we also ended up getting a side of rings. Nothing special. Place could use some repairs and a good cleaning, as well as a hostess. The the server 's attitude could be a whole lot better to the non-locals, even if they are their 'bread and butter', they all disappeared at 6 whenhappy hour ended. When we walked in, we were clearly confused about the options (bar/restaurant), and the woman who turned out to be our server and a senior staff member made what appeared to be a conscious decision to NOT help. The sauces made them even better. 2 thumbs up there. However, my wife was very disappointed. She was looking for an authentic New England seafood dish and was left wanting. Nothing was seasoned at all (not even the mashed potatoes). She was quite disappointed with her dinner, but on the other hand I very much enjoyed mine. The adults got potato skins, Overstuffed Mushrooms, Nachos. All of which were cold and uncooked. The rodeo Burger which was to be cooked medium came raw and warm, The kielbasa Grinder came still cold, My Daughters Philly Cheese Steak was dry and had an aroma to it that was unappetizing, My Sons Turkey Club was dry and a sour taste to it.
