We are visiting Lincoln and stopped by Nachos Mexican Bar and Grille. It is a beautiful night and they offered indoor and outdoor seating when we arrived. The staff were very friendly and made sure that our experience was one that we will never forget! While the service was a little slow because it was sooooo busy, it was certainly worth the wait. The food was fresh and words cannot describe how well it tasted! I saw a little sign that says - all orders are made fresh - please be patient. That sign was 100 percent accurate!!! TL:DR - Mexican people making white people Mexican food. After coming here I realize why I've missed it all these years, this place is pretty small. Ambiance wise, there are a good number of muted TVs while you listen to 80s music. Service, they were pretty attentive though not overly so. Food wise, I think you can tell this restaurant is in a tourist spot in northern NH. The burger section of the menu is pretty much just as big as the Mexican selection, and the Mexican selection is pretty mild. Tangy pork? Pork in a sauce made of bbq and ketchup. I had a Three Amigos and everything was pretty meh. I was also unimpressed with the size of the burrito and chimichanga. There are signs everywhere saying they're not fast food Mexican, but in spite of their insistence that they make everything to order, the flavors aren't far from the fast food Mexican chain. My husband and I had a great experience at Nachos! We both ordered house margaritas and they were great. The fajitas are amazing, the portion size is huge and easily enough for two meals. The enchiladas were also incredible. My husband has celiac and did not have any reaction from his meal after ordering the enchiladas. The service was very fast, and the waiter was very attentive. The small garnish of lettuce tomato and clearly packaged shredded cheese (still had the starchy preservative on it) was very forgettable. The enchiladas themselves were pretty tasteless. The best part of our outdoor dining experience was how friendly and accommodating the staff were. We had showed up pretty late, unknowingly close to their closing time, and they were more than happy to seat us and let us take our time with our meals. The menu is a little all over the place. While there are some Mexican sounding items, like the tacos and enchiladas, there's a long list of burgers (like the Taco Burger) and dishes served with French fries. Our meals were filling, but not exactly satisfying. If you're looking for decent traditional Mexican food, this is not the place. But if you're hungry and in the mood for some cheesy or fried specials, this just might do the trick. read more

My father-in-law doesnt even like Mexican but for some reason, this place called to him. I wasnt that jazzed on the menu, basic options, all sort of the same but in different forms. It was early lunch, so we didn't have drinks. My vegetarian enchiladas were fine. Two people got the Three Amigos and thought the pork was fantastic. It was just lettuce, tomatoes, and meat-no cheese or dressing. I asked if they had any dressing options and they said ranch. I had asked when I ordered if I could have avocado added since it was listed on other dishes on the menu. He said no. I assumed that meant they were out-but then the table next to us got guac. We had to go up to the bar to ask for silverware after our food came. No napkins were ever brought so I used the paper towel that was in the chip basket. They were the plainest nachos I had in a restraunt: chips, shredded cheese (not melted) , ground beef with VERY little seasoning, no jalapeños , no olives, or anything to add flavor. In a pinch for a time, we popped in here because there was no wait. We had wanted to go flapjacks, everyone raved about it, but they had a 45 minute wait. The food is lacking in all areas. Chef Mike (aka the microwave) did all of the work for our food. We had a small dinner plate sized order of nachos with the chicken. It was ok. Not worth $12. I had ordered the three amigos and the portions were appetizer sized. The rice is definitely uncle bens yellow rice. The black beans may or may not have been cleaned Ortega canned beans. My son was served a cold hot dog with the smallest of grill marks because the order was taken wrong to begin with. The grilled chicken and veggie plate had no seasoning. Our drinks were also made wrong. Our server was very nice, and we were greeted with a hello when we entered. That's the only star I would give is for their pleasant attitudes. Also everything is served on paper plates. So for a state that is very connected to its environment it seems like the exact opposite thing to do. If you are bringing a young family, maybe cover their ears because the radio is likely Pandora and is uncensored. I love hip hop, but my kid doesn't need to listen to post Malone at lunchtime. Many of our chips weren't edible, just hard and stale, or under cooked? Not sure. The Nachos Mamas were meh. I've made better with pulled chicken from Wegmans. It was a dinner plate with one layer of nachos and toppings. Far from a sharing appetizer. Their menu boasts gluten free corn tortillas but it's more like a "kinda". Had to ask which meals I can have them with. I finally settled on Oaxaca Tacos with pork. The tacos themselves were okay, I'd order them again, the rice and beans were tasteless. Didn't waste the calories. Also, felt bloated shortly after we left, I question if it was really gluten free!! Wife got taquitos appetizer for her meal, a basic roll with chicken and cheese. Again a big meh. My daughter got chicken fingers and I swear I have these in my freezer. Fries too, certainly frozen. And hugely lacking salt, like a lot. My son got the quesadillas, again, meh. We've made better at home using a rotisserie chicken. Mmmm... I got a shot of Jameson and a can of ginger ale and had to make my own Jameson and Ginger. The table next to us outside was not cleared the 50 minutes that we were there- which should have been our first sign to leave ASAP. My significant other has a gluten allergy- which we mentioned to our server who seemed to immediately be aware of what he could and could not have which was a relief. Their sign advertises "gluten free" so i was hoping their staff would be semi-knowledgeable about the gluten free options. The "gluten free" meal came out with a flour tortilla on top. The veggie burger was very clearly frozen, and still cold when it came to the table. The server never came around to check on us until she dropped off the bill - which had each line item listed and no mention of a gluten allergy. No fault to the kitchen (at least on the GF allergy) - the customer service and attention to detail was what ruined the experience.
