Small coffee at table
Brad H.

Stopped in at this Fleming Island coffee shop this morning before a meeting. The shop was bustling with customers both pick up orders and stay and sit drinkers. Like most shops, it is counter service and the staff were friendly and attentive. However, they were so attentive to the indecisive lady in front of me that I had to wait to order. I ordered a small black coffee and received it immediately. I then found a table and drank my coffee while I read a book. The shop is a little loud between music and conversations but the dark roast coffee was good. Might be a good place to meet a friend for a cup but not a good place to try and read/ think.

The coffee it exactly what you would want. They have classic drinks, specialized drinks, teas, cold, bruise, nitro, cold bruise, and a bunch of different types of cookies, brownies, breakfast food foods, and merchandise. There was no line when I walked in and the lady who took my order were very kind and polite. This coffee spot definitely has an an American navy/army vibe about it. There's convenient parking right outside as well as seating, which is great.

This is a great veteran owned and military influence cafe. Garrett was very friendly in explaining the different specialty drinks that they had. He even talked about the region of where the coffees came from. We had the liberty bell, nitro cold brew and the Smokey Joe. The Smokey Joe is topped with a really yummy bourbon smoked sugar that gives it a special smell and taste. The coffee shop had more food options than most coffee shops and a retail selling various shirts, hats, and mugs. I love strong and smooth coffee and black rifle had just that. They even give military discounts.

The first time I drove past I had my kids with me so I made a mental note to go back without the kids lol and I finally did. The interior is cute. They have merchandise on the left, register in the middle and cute fireplace on the right close to the restrooms. I had the cashier surprise me with the drink but when I saw the churro donut on the menu I had to get. It was so warm and light I could definitely eat a bag full of them. I also had the egg bowl with veggies and it was okay. Wasn't a fan tho. I added the salsa it came with but it just wasn't for me.

I've been staking out this place for months, waiting for it to open ever since I saw the sign go up, and finally! The momentous day has arrived!! I made it in on the second day of their soft opening; my only regret was that I missed the first day because I was not disappointed. The ambience of this place was exactly what I was expecting from my past experience with other Black Rifle Coffee Companies. Excited to finally have a real coffee company here in Fleming Island prime!! Let's get down to the first thing on everyone's minds: money. It felt cheap for the quality, especially compared to some similar niche coffee locations around Jacksonville. It was typical pricing though if you're just looking at amount ($/oz). I found a fun surprise at the bottom of my receipt called the 'Evergreen bundle.' A discount for pairing the right food and drinks. Now onto the fun: food! After I snatched my food from the 'drop zone,' I lounged in a comfy armchair to enjoy my combat kolache, churro donut, and Jet Fuel latte. All wonderfully done! By the end all that was left was ice cubes and crumbs. Service had a Hoorah attitude!! They were patient and helpful for questions. Plus, they were handing out samples and checking on guests to ensure optimal experience. This place has a very strong military theme which creates a unique and modern aesthetic. If you're military or first responder you also get a discount. Even if it's a bit of drive, or your a local like me, you should definitely come check it out. Hoorah!

Delish Mexican coffee!! Hubby is loving the Americano with vanilla. A little chilly in here, brrrr. Decor is rustic and military quite suitable for the brand. The staff and very helpful and appropriately friendly. You should definitely stop by.

I am 100% for what this business does and stands for and so glad to see them open up locations. I've been going to the original in Georgia for a while and always make it a point to stop when I'm in their area. This place offers a gift shop Just like their original location and they're great coffee. I was a little disappointed there was no white sugar on their bar but they do have four other sugars to choose from. They offer food items and seasonal drinks also. Great cozy indoor area and a nice patio to pick from. Service was witb a smile.

As a fan of Black Rifle Coffee's online offerings, I was excited to check out their new brick-and-mortar location in Fleming Island... and it did not disappoint! The location is fantastic, featuring a convenient drive-thru and a cozy, welcoming interior. It has a vibe similar to "those other big coffee chains" but with an edge that makes it feel both familiar and better. Inside, you can shop for their full range of coffees and merchandise, which is perfect if you're looking to stock up or find gifts for fellow coffee lovers. They also serve freshly brewed coffee and a selection of baked treats. The person who took our order was very friendly plus knowledgeable in helping us with our selection. I ordered a Nitro Cold Brew with cream and sweet syrup, and it exceeded my expectations! Smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced. My friend had the Smokey Joe, and I got to sample it ... it's a wonderfully unique iced coffee with a pleasant smoky flavor that stands out from anything I've tried before. Black Rifle Coffee is everything I'd hoped for ... great coffee, a supportive nod to veteran-owned businesses, and an awesome atmosphere. If you're a coffee fan, this spot is a must-visit!

I've ordered from this location multiple times, and when the order is correct, the coffee is good. However, this is the second time I've ordered an iced drink and received it hot instead. I specifically order iced every time, so receiving hot drinks has been frustrating, especially with delivery. Please double-check temperature before sending orders out. I enjoy the coffee, but accuracy needs improvement.

Black Rifle Coffee Company has opened on 220, and it is a pretty nice place. If you want to put cream in your coffee, ask them to leave it short in the cup because you will get a full cup of coffee. They do have breakfast munchies available. A Mellow atmosphere with WIFI

Iced Liberty bell with almond milk

I am a self proclaimed espresso snob and this is my absolute favorite latte to get out anywhere! I have always gotten the iced liberty bell with almond milk and it never misses!

The little salad had a very nice dressing and the eggs had a very tasty seasoning. Overall what a nice way to break your fast. Service--9.5/10. The only complaint I have is service was a little slow and it was a very cold morning one of our frozen days here in Northeast Florida. The combination of that meant because the young lady at the counter was taking another order that my food sat for a couple of moments before it was brought to me, and I was starting to get quite cool. Other than that, the food was fantastic, and she was clearly hustling to the best of her ability. Atmosphere--10/10. A very charming little shop. The exterior and interior are both so cute and quaint. It makes you feel very welcome. It could be a little warmer inside, but usually down here in Florida. We're dealing with the opposite end of the thermometer and trying to keep things cool so these few frosty days that we had this month definitely were more than most of us are prepared for.

If you're lucky to have her wait on you, I'm sure you'll become a regular. Just great energy. Food came out fresh and fast. Thanks to Shannon, too. They kept our food and drinks coming. And we all had a wonderful first time! Everything on their menu looks great. My grilled shrimp tacos were yummy. Definitely get the fried mushrooms if you enjoy them. They do them perfectly here. I got a bite of my brother's meatloaf, mashed potatoes and broccoli and also my sister's smothered fried chicken breast. Both entrees were flavorful, seasoned right and cooked perfectly! And my BIL's Buffalo Chicken Wings were excellent. Definitely a great place to share food and experience others' dishes. Save room for the desserts! Made in-house and the selections are great. We shared the warm chocolate chip cookie skillet with ice-cream and whipped cream and the chocolate cake. So good! Look forward to going again for a piece of their Key Lime pie. We left full and really happy. Prices are extremely reasonable and they do have Happy Hour specials. Can't believe I've never been to this neighborhood gem before!? Highly recommend!

We discovered this place quite by accident, getting lost in the parking lot. Frustrated and hungry,…read moreI decided I was in the mood for Cuban food. This place has apparently only been open for a week when we sat down, so there is probably a few 'new place' exceptions/errors that should improve over time. To be completely honest, I know next to nothing about Cuban food, having experienced maybe 2-3 Cubano sandwiches in my entire life in different parts of the world. My buddy and i decided to tread lightly and get some initial impressions of the appetizers. He ordred the Tostones, while I got the 'Cuban Cigars'. The tostones were a solid 7/10, and came as 3 pretty pieces. The "Cuban Cigars" were described as 'Cuban sandwich-flavored crispy shells', and came served in a Cohiba ashtray (top marks for presentation). They tasted ok, probably a 6.5/10, and the best way I can describe it is they tasted like Hispanic flavored Chinese eggrolls. We also ordered the Pina colada frozen drinks, which were a bit too sweet for my taste buds. In all fairness, I can't give a confident review of the entire place based on these 3 orders, and will likely come back for some of the steak entrees. They have a live music on weekends, so if you're not fully sleep on a Sunday evening, I suggest popping in here for a snack and a nightcap, listen to some oldies, before heading home.

A new Cuban gem in Fleming Island! Tried Habana Mariel Cuban Restaurant (Mindy's Cuban Kitchen for…read moreshort) after seeing a movie at the AMC theaters in Fleming Island. What a delight! The food and atmosphere were outstanding. Their menu is filled with a wide selection of Cuban favorites making it difficult to choose. My wife had the stuffed Mahi Mahi that was a large fish portion, breaded, perfectly fried and stuffed with ham and cheese. She had wonderfully spiced black beans and sweet plantains to round out the meal. I had one of their specialties, Rice with Shrimp. It was a huge mound of delightful and perfectly spiced Sazon rice stuffed with approximately a dozen or so small shrimp that was to die for and came with 4 large sweet plantains. Both dishes were large enough that we had leftovers for lunch the next day. The restaurant is nicely decorated in Cuban chic and there is authentic Cuban/latin music playing in the background to help give the restaurant a Cuban vibe. We didn't have room for dessert so we'll have to try that the next time we visit. The only thing keeping me from giving a 5 star review was the fact that the restaurant only had one server and though she was very nice, helpful in making selections and tried to be prompt, as the restaurant filled up, it was difficult to handle all the duties effectively. However, this should not deter anyone from going to Habana Mariels for lunch or dinner as I'm sure that the owners (who also own Palermo's in Orange Park--see my reviews for that wonderful Puerto Rican restaurant--will rectify this situation soon. Please give "Mindy's" the short name for Habana Mariels a try. You won't regret it.
