Stopped by Lucky Goat recently to meet some friends and found another solid coffee shop in Jacksonville. There is seating both inside and outside, sweet and savory treats and a really good coffee selection. Inside is clean, neat and relaxing and that's where we chose to enjoy our coffee on this hot day. The staff were welcoming, friendly and informative and my coffee was really solid. If you like strong coffee, get an espresso shot. If you're into bold but smooth, leave it alone. Lucky Goat Deerwood was okay. I don't know if the employees were a little tired still considering we came in early but it didn't feel welcoming like most other coffee shops. We walked in we said hello and someone responded with a very dry "hey" and then no real interaction after that. The employee who took our order was nice but overall the experience that we had wouldn't prompt us to return. It was nice inside, cute green chairs. And the coffee is definitely COFFEE (lol) bold coffee taste and good espresso I just really wish the staff was more friendly. read more

I'm always looking for a new coffee spot to try, and this time I may have found a new regular spot for days I go into the office! I got the lucky bomb coffee which was vanilla, cream, and espresso. Pretty basic recipe but a GOAT coffee beverage. Most of their menu items seem pretty basic, and it's not an enormous menu. And I love this! They know what they do well, and they keep that up! The service was wonderful and my coffee came out super fast! And fun little add-on, they have some drip coffee and small cups so you can sip a little while you wait. Have a little coffee while you wait for your coffee! A coffee lovers dream. It seems like it would be a lovely place to sit a sip for a few minutes, but I just took mine to go this time. I am looking around Jacksonville to find the best coffee place for drink and relaxation. The Lucky goat was the next stop om my list. The interior was inviting. I was torn between the coconut/ Carmel latte and my traditional Chai latte. I chose wisely and I'm glad I did. The chai latte had it. It even came with a splash of cinnamon on the top. It was nice and frothy with the whole milk. I also got a flaky and buttery croissant that I was eating while reviewing. The Lucky Goat is right around yhe corner from my 3rd job. Yes, I have 3 jobs. Stopped in for a quick breakfast--well, mostly because we desperately needed caffeine as kids moved from the Orlando area to Jacksonville. We grabbed three drinks for us "movers," and every single one hit the mark. I ordered the Snowflake Crunch, a vanilla hazelnut concoction that was soft, creamy, and absolutely perfect to the palate. I had it warm, and it was exactly what I needed. My son ordered the matcha with strawberry syrup, and in his words, it was perfectly balanced--not overly sweet, with just enough flavor to clearly taste both the matcha and the strawberry. His fiancée went with the peppermint mocha, which she said was exactly what she expected and very enjoyable. We also tried the breakfast bites--the bacon gruyère frittatas (much better than Starbucks, by the way) and the spinach feta, and both were really, really good. Five stars all around for drinks, food, and service. As for ambiance: pets aren't allowed inside, but service dogs are welcome, which we appreciated. There's also a lovely outdoor patio where you can sit--we even spotted a few pets out there, including our own Tiny Coco. Definitely a great stop for quality coffee and a quick bite. read more

Coffee and food are fantastic. Like many other comments, one particular employee was horrible. There were two employees working, one taking orders and one making the coffee. The one taking orders was looking down at her phone that was on the counter the entire time. She would take short breaks from her phone to take orders. Meanwhile, there was a line of 7+ people and there was zero effort to act with urgency. She was obviously distracted because I ordered two food items and specifically asked for them not to be heated and she put them straight in the microwave. I truly felt bad for the employee that was making the coffee. She was doing everything, very kind, and I'm sure very annoyed at her coworker who was doing nothing to help her. read more

I accidentally got a cold brew. I do not like cold coffee! I was stuck on the name "Luckyccino" from the menu and couldn't help myself - it was out of my mouth before I could say OH WAIT THAT'S NOT HOT... When the nice (and kinda cute too) guy behind the counter served it and I saw that it was iced, I thought 'Well..that's my fault' so I tasted it and my taste buds lit up! It was OH SO YUMMY!!!!! Cute little coffee shop with a good amount of seating and a really intriguing menu! Usually I don't care much for coffee or pastries but I wanted to try almost everything here, especially their seasonal menu! I ended up trying the yuzu coconut matcha lemonade, and it was perfect for the summer! So refreshing, and the yuzu came in strong without being too tart. The coconut was more subtle but still delicious. I also tried the ube cheese roll just because I haven't seen anything like it before. It's a pretty typical roll with something similar to cream cheese and covered in ube powder. It was good in that the bread was so soft, the sweet cream cheese was delicious, and the ube powder gave a subtle and sweet flavor. But it didn't blow my mind or anything. Lucky Goat consistently delivers. The service is always efficient and friendly. You walk in with a warm welcome which has now become a rarity in a lot of places. The coffee also does not disappoint. Lattes are rich, smooth, and milk is silkened well every time. Their standard is 12 oz so they aren't too milky. I get a cortado if I'm feeling something more coffee forward. It's become one of our go-to spots in Jacksonville because we know we can count on a great experience, whether we're grabbing a quick cup or settling in for a moment. Great coffee spot! We stopped in for a cup before heading to the bookstore. The menu isn't huge, but it seems like what they do, they do well. I ordered the Lucky Bomb Cold Brew. I believe it had vanilla cinnamon, and an extra shot of espresso. It was delicious and I absolutely would recommend. They also had a station where you could get yourself a small little coffee while you waited for your coffee, which was a very nice touch. I've seen this name pop up on some of the Florida coffee shop accounts I follow. I've only had the pleasure of visiting once but I plan to frequent more often. It's so conveniently located and easy to pop into on my way to the Town Center. The place has a great vibe--it's super clean and nicely decorated, making it a really pleasant spot to relax for a bit. I'm a big fan of their lavender latte; it's my regular order and they always make it perfectly. What really stands out, though, is the staff. I have come here a lot and it's always really messy. They always hand things back dripping or sticky which is not a great experience. The coffees okay but only maybe a half seltzer up from Starbucks. Way more commercial tasting than a traditional coffee shop. read more

The drink was very good and my friend got the strawberry and cream kolache warmed which was very tasty, the service needed some help. Now granted I will say as a disclaimer it was the Fourth of July and we did end up having a 3 hr meeting, but we did purchase multiple drinks and treats throughout the stay. The inside is very nice and clean. There was one staff member that refused to take our dish from the front counter as we had already noticed they had cleaned up the dish bucket, she kept pointing to us to take it and put it in the bucket, like we were being an inconvenience by helping out. That and the short way she spoke to us when we were ordering prior was my main turn off. Over all the food and drinks were good but the service from this one server in particular definitely needs to improve. read more

II stopped in for this first time this weekend & was very warmly greeted by the staff. The barista who took my order asked if it was my first visit & offered recommendations. I decided on the Luckyccino, a cold brew with vanilla & cream. The barista asked if I wanted it with a flavored cold brew, so I went with the current featured flavor, Goat Tracks (chocolate & caramel). It was a great choice! This is such a cute space to go on a coffee date with some girlfriends or sit to do work. It's overall pretty welcoming, though they haven't figured out exactly how they should line people up. When I went, the link went from register to the door, which only would fit like 4-5 people comfortably. The merch (super cute by the way) is in the back of the store. They should move the line to go from register to the back wall / back of store instead of the front of the store where the entrance is. This would make it less overwhelming to customers too. I ordered a tried and true iced chai latte. It didn't blow me away, but it wasn't too bad. I've definitely had worse and more watered down version. I'll have to try something else next time. The location is great! Very easy to park! The inside is sooo cute and clean. It was very busy with lots of people studying. Service was very quick and the cashier even made recommendations because it was my first time! The ham and cheese frittata was amazing but very over price! Was in town for business and this shop was near the hotel. The coffee tastes great and seemed good quality, I tried both their latte and their cold brew and would recommend both. I would normally give a shop like this five stars, however, I took a star off because most of the visits it seemed like the baristas were very distracted by their own gossip. I go to lots of coffee shops and I actually love when the baristas seem like they are friends and chat - miserable baristas make miserable coffee. However, while I was trying to mind my business I'd be lying if I didn't say these chats were awkward to overhear as I ordered/waited on my drink (gossip about other employees, about another customer who was sitting nearby). The distractions also led to my drink being made wrong one of the visits I noticed and they did remake it and it was delicious, but it led me to be concerned about getting the right drink the next couple mornings I stopped by. read more

This has to be one of my new favorite coffee shops in Jacksonville! I miss their Hawaiian cold brew, and I can't wait for it to come back, I bought gallons of that stuff. Once you have a growler, it's only $10 to fill up. However, the new seasonal cold brew (Irish cream and hazelnut) test very synthetic and I'm not a fan. If you're in the mood for something sweet, I highly recommend their mango or ube coffee cake made locally. The staff is so friendly and greets me every single time I come and they're extremely fast to get our order ready even when it's busy. There's plenty of inside and outdoor seating that's great for meeting friends or getting some work/homework done. Parking is easy, very family friendly, and there's great lighting. Restrooms are individual rooms so easily family and handicap accessible. Can't wait to be back for an iced cold brew with their homemade vanilla cream (and for the Hawaiian cold brew to return Hawaii)! read more
