What a fun exciting place! This would be on a Friday night. The bartenders, the wait staff, And even the hostess station was very open to conversation. It was a very fun atmosphere and we were only there at lunch. They have live music, with the dance floor in the evening on the weekends. They also have a speakeasy downstairs around the corner and underneath it. We didn't get anything to eat but I will be coming back to try out the menu, it seemed very extensive. Loved the lakeshore wrap - great option if you want something not too heavy that's not a salad. Veggies were raw which provided freshness. Good dressing. Great kettle chips. Also tried the shrimp po boy which was delicious, but bread was a little thick (came with 4 large shrimp). We honestly came here because it was one of the only places open on Tuesday. We also chose to go here because they had a dog friendly patio and we had our pup with us. We had to wait a little bit for a patio table but I don't think there was a wait for an inside table. We went in and got on the wait list for a patio table and were told we would get the next one in just a few minutes but another couple came up and were sat at the table after it was cleared. Another patio table came available and was cleared but I still wasn't texted for our table. I went back in to check and they sat us right away. I've gone here twice now and neither experience has been positive. I understand the location means they're busy but the waitresses are awful about refilling water or checking in. This time I got a BBQ bacon burger, it was a bit on the dry side and didn't come with much bbq like expected but once I asked for a side of bbq to add to it it was a lot better! BUT the PLACE IS EXTREMELY loud, it's not a place to bring your children or parents to, it's like a frat house!! This is surprisingly one of the only Main Street dog friendly places we could find. We were able to sit on the patio and enjoy our meal which was delicious! We had the steak bites were was a great appetizer and the entrees were delicious (gyros and fish and chips). I would recommend, especially given its prime location! read more

We needed more dressing for our salad and our server said she would bring some over. Well, 10 minutes later, we were ready to leave, since she walked passed our table multiple times without the dressing. So that was a waste since we only ate half. I think their prices are high for what they give. We requested the check. She brought it over and pointed out that the tip area was up top. I had to walk out as my husband paid. Pretty typical bar that serves a variety of sandwiches, burgers and fried food. It could probably use some sprucing up on the inside and maybe some new carpet; maybe a little drab or dated? Not gross, but didn't feel terribly comfy I guess. Food was OK as was the service. Nothing special and kind of felt like one of those places to where if you're not a regular, they just try to get you in and out as fast as possible. I had the steak wrap and a side of tots. Tots were frozen, but cooked well so they were crispy and not mushy and falling a part. Great lunch! I had the southwest chicken wrap and it was very good! Just a little heat, nothing to spicy, with lots of flavor! The parm fries as an upgrade, I would skip. It was just a bunch of parm thrown on fries. The fries were not tossed in oil or anything to help the parm stick. Not a meal breaker, I just wouldn't upgrade. The atmosphere was really good in here, and there is a bit of seating outside. $3 red stripe beers when red flags are out on the beach! She was very sweet and just a great server. 5 stars for drinks, 5 stars for service, 1 or 2 stars for food. Nachos were pretty gross. Wings were just okay. Buffalo was not spicy at all. The food was good and fast, but you have to flag down your server to place any order, get a refill of water (which you have to ask 3 times for), and did not return at all to take drink orders. After a day of beach fun, my crew was hungry and worn out. As we always do, we futilely began to look around for somewhere near the beach to eat. Clementine's had a 77-year wait. That place under the little boardwalk shops thing had no service or seating. But there was the Black River Tavern. No wait and they were happy to have us. The food is standard, uninspiring pub fair. Uninspiring until you're starved. And then it's absolutely fantastic. All of us ate well, and everything was brought to us quickly and correctly despite the large number of people in the place. Okay so, this review is for BRT as a bar. I haven't eaten the food here. We wanted a place in South Haven to go out after a girls dinner. We were hoping for fun music and maybe even dancing and we were so happy when we walked into BRT! They had a live band and it was a blast! Ordering took a while as they were so busy they didn't answer the phone right away. We got a variety of options, sandwich-y type items were tasty but fries and chicken tenders were a bit greasier than I anticipated. Decent but not excellent. I would return to sit outside and enjoy the area but for ordering, would stick to sandwiches and similar to keep things a bit lighter. My husband and I shared some pulled BBQ nachos which were overly sweet with BBQ sauce straight out of a bottle. When we walked in they said it was a 30 minute wait. So my husband and I put our names down and went outside ti look up somewhere else to eat. We were about to call another place when our phone rang and they called to let us know our table was ready, it took all but maybe 5 minutes of the 30 minutes they quoted us. The only positive thing about our trip here were the drink prices. A 24oz PBR was $3 and a well gin and tonic was $4. The service was ok, a little slow at times. The food was absolutely atrocious. Pretzel stix were just soaked in grease. We asked for beer cheese and I'm 99% sure they gave us nacho cheese. The garlic Parmesan French fries were terrible. Had 0 flavor. The patty melt was mediocre, also lacking in flavor. The only thing you could taste were the onions. And the chicken Caesar wrap was also nothing to write home about.
