I'm giving this place four stars simply for the atmosphere and the people working. They were clearly understaffed but the three people working were absolutely killing it. Otherwise -- the food isn't great (besides the pretzel). It's pretty obvious that the onion rings and the fried chicken in the chicken sandwich came frozen. read more

How cool is the theming of this place?! The owner came by the table and seemed like a great guy! The menu was broad and everything we had was tasty! Jacob D was a great server however: We got there at 12:45 & ordered 5 mins later. At 1:05 we asked where the side salad was. The side salad came at 1:20 about 5 mins before the pizza came. The cucumber on the side salad was going bad . It amazes me that no one noticed these things and just sends out decaying food. The side salad itself was very small for 5.00. The pizza looked good but had very little sausage or mushrooms. The sauce was very bland with no spices in it. If you are at the water park it would be an ok (expensive place) to grab a meal but as someone like us to go strictly for the restaurant it was a disappointment. i ordered the "soup" it was supposed to be chicken and rice soup... this is pasta with chicken. also the service was not very good, maria was very nice but the other lady bartender was looking at us like we were an inconvenience. they had a party of 30 and while i understand that's a lot to do, you shouldn't take 30 people plus the whole rest of the restaurant if you can't handle it. read more

This is a great spot. Away from the hustle and bustle of downtown South Haven it is located on a farm with lots of other activities. My wife had the pulled pork with sweet potato fries and I had the fish and chips. She said the sweet potato fries may have been the best she has ever had. My fish (haddock) was fried perfectly. The pulled pork is smoked on site. Our daughter loved both our meals as we all shared. The service was pretty good although there were a few times we were waiting for a condiment as well as an extra plate. Other than that our waitress was very kind and helpful, and everyone on site seemed to the same. Definitely would recommend coming here! read more

I so badly wanted this to be a 5 star experience! I've read so many positive things that I couldn't wait to try it out! Tonight, I'm not sure if it was just a fluke (we all have off days), but it was quite disappointing. Being in the food and beverage industry for many years, I understand being understaffed, in the weeds, and unable to be able to give 100% to everyone. I'm very patient and understanding. The server we had was very kind and explained to us that she was not even a server, but due to staffing issues, she was stepping in to help. First, we were seated and not spoken to for about 20 minutes. Second, we order our drinks and are told that out of everything on the drink menu, 3 of the items weren't available. Third, we order appetizers and I request to get my 4 year olds meal with our appetizers. A solid 45 minutes goes by before we get our appetizers, which of the three, only two come out. Not accompanied by my 4 year olds food. While waiting for appetizers, we had to approach the bar to request drink refills. Finally, our food comes out! Not all at once, though. Although the Salmon I ordered would have been delicious, it sat in the window long enough to be lukewarm at best. My boyfriends burger was not only well done, his bun had been cooked by the heat lamp. My sister received her appetizer AFTER her meal, and my 4 year old was the very last to receive her meal. All of those were things we were willing to look past, as we are all understanding that some days are better than others. I was not even intending to leave a review, but the last event that took place put a bad taste in my mouth (pun not intended) that as solidified my decision not to return. The (not server) server came to our table with our checks (3 of them) she explained that she removed the kids meal and one salmon meal off of the tab for the inconvenience. My boyfriend said that he would just pay for all of the checks with that being the case. Very thankful and satisfied that she put in effort to acknowledge that we received subpar service, we all collaborated on what our total would have been prior to the comps and planned to tip her well above 25%. Then, she came back with the tab for my boyfriend and she had added all of the meals that she had originally comped back onto it. Not a large menu if you don't want pizza or a burger. Husband liked the beer but my mule seemed to be watered down (drink special). Service was a little off as they had the waitresses work inside and out. The waitress forgot to get my husband a second beer he ordered and it was hard to get her attention.
