I go here pretty often and usually have a good experience. Some employees are more communicative and talkative than others, but I've never had any real issues with ordering or with my rewards being added correctly. That's why this experience kind of threw me off. I came in and ordered one drink. When I pulled up to the window, the employee asked for my phone number for rewards. I gave it to them, but they made a face like something wasn't working and didn't ask me to repeat it. I noticed they didn't type it in and then gave me my total. Later, I checked my account and didn't receive any points. Overall very weird interaction and felt uncomfortable. It's not a huge deal, but it was frustrating because if there was an issue entering my number, I wish they would have just asked me to repeat it or let me know. I like coming here and normally don't have problems, so I just hope staff double-check rewards info in the future so customers don't miss out on their points! read more

Glad we got to try this place before leaving AZ during the holidays. I love trying new coffee spots and this one is a popular one out there! Lots of parking in the lot, also lots of seating inside! Love the vibe of this place and how open it is. The lighting is really nice in here. We got in line to order which took a bit since it was busy. I ordered an iced Irish coffee and my bf got their iced Mexican mocha. Drinks came out pretty quick and they were very good BUT wish I got an extra shot in mine! I'm used to stronger coffee nowadays and I should've known judging by the looks of it lol! All good though! It was drinkable and we really enjoyed our drinks which were also priced decently! I decided to go in so I could get a gift card. The barista was friendly and patient. I got a $25 gift card and she handed me a $5 bonus card. I like the coffee here, but sometimes I just want an energy drink. I love that I can make it sugar free and then add sour and cold foam to make it fun. I ordered through the app around 6:15 am, and my drink was ready when I arrived - super quick! I highly recommend ordering ahead because the drive-thru line looked pretty long when I got there. The staff was friendly and greeted me as soon as I walked in. There are also tables inside if you want to stay, study, or catch up with a friend. I tried the Iced Oat Milk Matcha Latte with Strawberry Cold Foam and the Iced Oat Milk Latte with SF Hazelnut Syrup, SF Caramel Sauce, and Salted Caramel Cold Foam. The matcha was a bit on the lighter side, but the strawberry cold foam was a refreshing touch. The latte was perfectly balanced--not too sweet--and it didn't upset my stomach, which can sometimes happen with caffeine. Overall, I'm excited to come back and try more drinks here! read more

First time at black rock and it was alright. I waited in the drive thru line for about 25 minutes before getting my order so it did take a little bit of time. My coffee is very good. I just got an iced caramel latte. My sandwich tastes good but the bread is very tough so I ended up not eating it :/. My total was also $14 so a little bit pricey but about average with other coffee shops. The lady at the window was very sweet and chatted with me while waiting. read more

This afternoon at 11:30am we were served by two ladies at the window. I dint even mean to watch but she poured our drinks (that are different) from the same pitcher into our two cups and gave them straight to us. I than asked her and she continued to lie saying that's how the espresso is made. I said I understood that but I did not order espresso and my husband DID order 2 extra shots (that we pay 5$ extra for) And she gave us the same drinks from the same pitcher. They were super rude, did not even acknowledge that she lied or acknowledged the fact they gave us the wrong drinks. Very rude experience. We come here often and have always loved the service, but the new people you guys are hiring is rude, doesn't care about the job, this coffee place is amazing, is should stay that way. There is so much to say here; some great and then there's the not so great. I've been to so many Black Rock Locations around the valley and I have left nearly every one of them feeling irritated. This weekend I stopped by this location at opening time because at 5am who can function without coffee? Ha anyway this location is also brand new so I figured I'd check it out. I pulled up a little after five to no one in the drive thru but me and my pajamas. I pulled up to the screen to look it over and was surprised to see it was not functioning. Besides the one middle screen none were lit up or showing any options of drinks etc. if I'd never been to a black rock I wouldn't know where to start. I was u happy last stop at another location when I ordered an everything bagel and received some weird bread type bun. I thought it was a fluke so this time I ordered a plain bagel as well as a caramel macchiato with hazelnut. When I arrived at the window the girl helping was awesome. Her service and kindness definitely made it easy to give a better rating. She did some small talk, even offered me a free shirt they were handing out for grand opening . My drink and bagel came soon after. Again the weird bread thing reared its head. It wasn't a fluke there bagels are just made different and SUCK. Please convert to a regular bagel I beg of you. I tried a new drink and it tasted awful! no flavor at all so I got out of the drive thru and immediately parked to get something else. I got a blended mocha and wanted a tea instead since I know that i like it but they wanted to charge me again. why would I buy a $7 drink and then want to buy another $7 drink? I bet the teas are cheaper then a blended mocha anyway. super disappointed, definitely won't be back. what sucks is I even tipped them I wish I didn't even come here and they definitely don't deserve the tip I left, so sad. read more

I really enjoy BlackRock overall, and the staff at this location are consistently kind, which I truly appreciate. However, there are a few areas for improvement. First, their drinks aren't exactly inexpensive, and they fill the entire cup to the rim with ice, so you end up finishing a large in just a few sips. The bigger issue, though, is that on my last three visits, they've gotten my drink order wrong. I've asked for a blue raz with watermelon and lime, but twice I was given just a plain blue raz, and this last time, I got a blue raz with coconut. I really dislike coconut, so it was pretty disappointing. While I love the atmosphere and the staff, it would be great to receive the drink I actually ordered when I pay for it. read more

Saddened that this location continues to go down hill. I come here pretty much daily & completely understand how busy they can get so I started ordering ahead. Today I decided to buy 2 coffees one for me and one for my mom because she was up all night with my aunt as she took her last breath. I ordered online and went into the store to grab them, I got two of the same coffee and they were completely different colors so I asked if one could be remade. I watched the girl literally make faces to the other girl because of my complaint and one of them literally flung coffee residue in my direction from the blender she rinsed out. I am not trying to be a challenging customer, I too work in this industry but where's the customer service? They could see themselves that the coffee was two different colors, one being almost all milk. You also don't know what someone is going through and a cup of coffee could go a long way when you just had the worst night of your life. read more

I have gone to black rock many times and have always enjoyed their coffee but I just had the worst customer service experience. I ordered a breakfast item which was given to me to cold, after the barista handed me my food I tried to ask if she could heat it up and she blatantly ignored me and was drinking her coffee at the window. When she handed me our coffee I then asked if she could heat it up and she gave me a dirty look and sighed and then rolled her eyes at me. I was in disbelief. I asked for her name and she told me she wasn't comfortable and refused . She was the blonde barista at the window at 8:15 on 3/21.
