My friends and I have been Enroute patrons for several years now, so I'm surprised this is my first time reviewing them on here! It's fitting though, because during our most recent visit we tried their food offerings for the first time. Usually we go for their coffees - we're especially fans of their monthly rotating themed drinks. The themes usually tie into the current holiday, season, or weather. It's a fun concept that we haven't found at other local coffee shops. Ever since they started serving food, we've been wanting to try it, just haven't found the time. Well we finally found the time, and it was so worth it! Three of us shared the Birds & Bees sandwich and the Turkey Avo panini. Both came served with a pile of skinny fries. Excellent! My boyfriend is a ranch snob and had very high praise for their homemade ranch. The service is always quick and friendly. Honestly never had a bad experience at Enroute. Happy to have them as our local coffee shop. We'll be continued customers for a long time to come! read more

Coffee and Tea House located near the walking shops outside of Scottsdale Fashion Center. It is kind of tucked away depending on where you park...we accidently took the long route. When we got to the shop, the line was extremely long which I saw as a really good sign. Unfortunately for me, it was not. The service was extremely nice, a smidge slow but that was pretty understandable due to the line and also due to the many to go orders being placed ahead of time. I did notice with the to go orders that there wasnt as many drinks being picked up...this might be a coffee shop that is known for their food more than their drinks (unique). The sitting inside was limited and a little squashed, the shop itself is pretty small. If you have any form of anxiety...dont go anywhere near Enroute, I almost left multiple times without my drink because of it. I ordered the Large Honey Pistachio Latte with Oatmilk (a common drink I have ordered from other shops and have loved) it was about $10 and my mom ordered a herbal iced tea with cherry in it, the tea was okay but nothing spectacular. The lack of tea choices was a little shocking due to the fact that the name of the shop promotes that it is a Tea House. We spent a little over $17, Scottsdale can be expensive and I have bought a lot of coffee from Scottsdale..and I will argue that this is one of the most expensive drinks I have gotten especially when comparing size and quality. I didn't really like my drink at all, and had a hard time chugging it down. I personally probably will not becoming back...that being said, there is obviously something within the shop that has made it extremely popular. My guess is the hot food options available, if you were to decide to try this shop... I would recommend either reaching out to someone who.loves this shop or checking into those items specifically. read more

You can tell immediately walking into En Route that this place is popular -- busy, loud, trendy music going, and honestly very cute inside. It's part café, part eatery, with drinks, food, herbal teas (unsweetened options -- always appreciated), plus a fun retail vibe with local makers selling candles, jewelry, wellness goodies, jams, etc. I actually picked up some jewelry while I was there, which made the visit feel a little more experiential than your average coffee stop. Menu is extensive, but if you're vegan, you'll likely be customizing rather than ordering straight off the menu. They were totally accommodating though -- I customized an açaí blue magic smoothie bowl that turned out really good. Bonus points for serving it in a square container -- random, but I've had a LOT of açaí bowls and that was a first. Cute, different, memorable. Service was helpful but a bit flat energy-wise. I get that it was busy, but a little warmth at the register would've matched the otherwise vibey atmosphere better. Not bad service -- just not the friendliest front-facing experience. I also grabbed the last vegan baked good from a local brand ("Yum") -- a cinnamon roll cake muffin. Loved seeing a local vegan baker represented, though the frosting leaned too sweet for me and the texture was more coffee-cake-adjacent than muffin. Appreciated the option, even if I wouldn't reorder. Overall: great herbal tea selection (hot or iced loose leaf options = yes please), strong aesthetic, fun retail element, and a solid spot if you're okay customizing for vegan needs. I've been to Enroute a few times now and each time I've been, everything is delicious! They have such fun drinks and a large menu of food options. I tried the Parkway burrito, which was hearty and delicious. I loved the crunch from the French fries. Then I tried the blackberry pie latte that was one of their speciality menu items. It was SO good!! I got it iced, and I almost think having it hot would have elevated it to the next level. It tasted just like a pie. The staff is always pleasant and I love the vibe of their shop. The seating is limited, so either show up early or be prepared to wait. It's worth it though! read more

Enroute was jumping today. I looked for somewhere close to where I would be and this was in the top results and appropriate for what we wanted. When I suggested it to the friend I'd be meeting, she had been here before and loved it. They were fully staffed and everyone knew what they were doing. The line moved fast and our order didn't take long. There was an available table when we turned around which was nice. We each got an iced coffee one with sugar free vanilla and I opted for hazelnut. Stopped by for some caffeine on the way back to the airport from Surprise. It's very close to the freeway! Ample parking in the parking lot. This place seems very busy, but they also have a lot of tables and chairs! Food, coffee, and tea options available. I was hoping to try a banana bread latte, but it's not currently the season for that anymore. I ended up getting a regular iced latte. The medium was huge! I like the roasted flavor that comes through. Service was very quick! Less than 5 minute wait for my drink, even though it was quite busy! I liked that they have earrings, other trinkets, and shirts available from local artists! I love local spots! Walking in, I was quickly greeted and helped. I appreciated that they just didn't have coffee, but also lotus energy (and other drinks!) too. I felt that their prices were reasonable and I really enjoyed that they had sugar free flavors. They had so many! Typically local spots don't have anything but vanilla, so it was greatly appreciated. While I sat and enjoyed my drink in the seating area, a lot more people came in. They definitely have a system down, as they were fast. I appreciated the service and quality. If you're looking for a large menu option with lots of flavors then this is your spot. They also put their drinks out so fast which is nice. I ordered a maple brown sugar chai and it was very sweet. It was delicious but didn't have the spice I was looking for. It kind of reminds me of Starbucks! The matcha I ordered also has the same vibes. I'm glad they use lots of flavor though because nothing is more disappointing than a drink with no flavor. Me and my boyfriend came here yesterday around 2:25-2:30 and they close at 3. I'm not sure if they rushed to make our drinks because they wanted to close but this was probably one of the worst matchas I've had. We received our drinks with clumps of matcha and they had very little matcha flavor to it, other than the clumps. It was more like milk with ice. The staff there weren't very social, they just took our order and went with their day. The place itself looked like they're still looking to expand it or more like settling in. There aren't much seating options inside just 2 chairs and a table with 2 outside. Other than that I probably wouldn't come back here for matcha. Perhaps something else a little bit earlier considering they were most likely rushing to leave. read more

I was able to try their food items today & it def did not disappoint. I love love the chumpkin chai w a shot of espresso.& the breakfast pizza was shareable and delicious! Service is always spot on despite how busy they get in the morning. Inside is very spacious and there are several options for seating. Everything is kept clean & they even support local small businesses by allowing them space to sell inside. Overall, love this location & so glad they expanded. read more

I paid $11 for a latte that was supposed to come with cold foam and sprinkles to represent a dot cake which was on the Instagram. All I tried here was a double dirty chai and I would definitely say the chai flavor is below average. They use a powdered chai base. Honestly tazo or Oregon chai taste 1000x better than the powder base they use. I'll have to come back to try a cappuccino to give a full review of their espresso. The service was very quick and friendly. The atmosphere in here is very bland... If I could give ANY advice... There are VERY FEW fun coffee shops on the west side. If you added some BOLD paint to the walls that accent the chandeliers and add a few art pieces, this place would be PACKED. It's just lacking character. The banana bread latte had about the perfect amount of sweetness. I could only drink half of the regular size and had it the next day as a sweet treat. I stopped in today (10/21) for lunch, I really just wanted french fries but I treated myself to a full meal & a drink. I ordered turkey panini & a dirty crime scene chai. Let me just say that the drink was perfect; taste, temp, flavor . The sandwich was good, I got it with fries & their aoli (so good). I could only eat half the sandwich but I ate all the fries. I dont know what it is but the fries are perfectly crispy & tasty. The 1st time I ate here I also ate all the fries & only 1/2 the chkn salad sandwich. Unfortunately I was not impressed with Enroute. I ordered the 'lucky charm' latte and was dissatisfied with the flavor and presentation. The coffee itself tasted bitter and somewhat sour, and the syrup was completely all on the bottom - not mixed well at all. The employees working there weren't necessarily mean but by no means nice. It just wasn't a good overall experience, which sucks because I love to support local coffee shops. read more

Another great coffee shop in Goodyear, this place is about an hour away from me but totally worth stopping by if you're in the area. Coffee is very good and the staff is super friendly. I love supporting local. Enroute is very often crowded so expect a wait in line and to order. I do think this place is insanely expensive for what it is... $8 for a medium mocha and $2.50 or so to add cold foam totaling at 10+ for a medium is insane for often times burnt coffee... So that leaves this place slightly unpredictable, you never know if today is the day you'll get burn coffee. The service is hit or miss. The cashiers and baristas are often neutral if not moody, likely because it's busy and they're over worked, which I totally get. But POV: you're in line to order a drink you forgot to order or that extra pastry you didn't see, and they're angrily yelling "RECALL ON THAT ICED MOCHA." Over an over and over and it gets more and more aggressive as time goes on and you're still in line so you can't pick it up at that moment. I would prefer to go out of my way to new penny(the sister company/but same owners) , the staff is more friendly and the food is better imo. But this place is worth trying! They often bring order pastries, vendors etc and collab a lot so it's fun to check out. read more

Visited this cafe from out of town. The shop is so cute and clean and the baristas were very kind! I ordered the revival iced (extra ice) with oat milk & i normally ask for my drinks half sweet but I decided to try it as is. It did not disappoint. I have been in this parking lot many times but never noticed the coffee shop- there's a boba place we used to go to all the time but stopped because they never seemed to actually have any boba. Found this coffee shop on yelp under "vegan friendly options" and I was excited to see they had alternative coffee mushroom drink and vegan pastries. Upon walking in I was surprised at how cute and boutique looking it was. There are regular tables of 2 or 4 to sit at but I loved the sofa chairs with tables against the wall. There are tons of adorable handmade items set up for sale throughout the store from local small business owners. I went home with way too many handmade headbands and scrunchies for my girls. I was very disappointed to find out they don't have the mushroom drink I originally came in for but the baristas were so friendly and helpful they helped me figure out I could do a vegan chai (oatmilk) with chaga mushroom added in. It was super tasty and a real treat. I was hoping I'd find vegan pastries I could consider having with my drink for breakfast but they only had vegan chocolate chip cookies and 2 different cupcakes. All in all the place was adorable and looked to have many regulars coming in to grab drinks on their way to work. Super clean. Friendly atmosphere. I will definitely be coming back again. read more

This is a great place to meet up with a friend for coffee to catch up or grab a cup of joe quick while you are on the go! My friend and I decided to meet up here on a Monday morning and although it was very busy with traffic coming in and out I felt like it was still private and quite enough to have a good conversation with one another. Enroute has plenty of seating and is pretty roomy. The coffee shop had a huge menu of drinks to choose from and I landed on the lucky charms latte.
