The reason for 2 stars is because the drink was ok. Service was awful... I asked for the express beans to be ground in the drink and was told they can't do that. When I asked why they said the owner won't let them? Every other location does this. This is silly. Asked for macadamia nut milk (on the menu) was told they don't have it so I asked why as it's on the menu and was told the owner doesn't carry it. Ok then fix your menu. Wanted an added shot and was told it has espresso in it already- ok I know that so if I want more why would you fight it? They basically lost money with me reducing the size of the drink and no extra shots. Seriously do better. Go to another one this one has horrible service and the employees are not happy. read more

I'm leaving a review because they asked me too. Ok. It's Sunday Dec 28th 3:30pm. I walked up to the window. At first I thought they were closed because the open sign facing Dysart was off. The other open sign above the walk up window was on. The widow was close and there was no door bell. I waited before knocking on the glass. The music was playing on the outdoor speakers. Then the channel started to change so I knew there was someone there. I knocked, no one appeared. So I waited till the song was over, I knocked again. No one answered the window so I decided to leave. As we were leaving a car went through the drive thru. We saw someone took their order, so we went through and ordered my drink. The Chai was made with Oat Milk and cinnamon powder. Taste of the drink alone was 3/5 stars; watery with little cinnamon or chai flavor. As much as the coffee here is great but one of the baristas intentionally added tip. 2 small and a medium coffee with a discount of $3.00 cost me 17.00. I didn't know her name but this happened in the am 4/26/25. Human bean needs to hire trusted baristas and not someone who will steal their customers money through tips. read more

The Mexi is absolutely amazing, the flavors, the vibe, everything about it is top tier. That said, the cold foam is what makes the drink so special, and unfortunately they're consistently out of it. I've been back six times in the last few weeks hoping it was just a one-off issue, but they haven't had it any of those visits. It's disappointing because that's the main reason I go. Because of that, I won't be coming back. read more

Be careful. If you don't leave a tip PRIOR to receiving your drink, they'll water it down, take extra time, and be rude. No communication, no time estimate for the wait. $6.80 for a not full 14oz cup of Java Chip that doesn't look anything like the menu photo. That was the worst tasting blended coffee I've ever had. They also falsely advertise pricing on their signage. I've had below average experiences here before, but kept giving them a try sporadically. Today they've lost my business and earned this review. read more

Service is always on point. I place my order, pay, and get the goods. I like that they have pumpkin products year round. Also they let you tip within the app. I've noticed the option for tips within the apps for smaller coffee shops only. They give you a chocolate covered coffee bean with every order. Their food is unique (to me) and taste good. I don't know that I've ever had a waffle sandwich. read more

First time here and I LOVE IT! I told her it was my first time and she was so sweet to walk me through placing the perfect order. I will kick myself later that I only order 16oz on both. New to area and wanted to support local. I have had about 5-6 visits and every time the same drink tastes different and/or they get the size wrong... however the biggest thing I noticed each time is the girls demeanor. No greeting. No smile. No communication (I'll have your drink right out etc). I feel like certain mix of baristas don't get along and that shows. We visited The Human Bean today and we ordered the Mexi, a Raspberry Tea, and 2 for $6 Chorizo burritos. They all were good! The girl who helped us was super nice as well! It was about $13 and change for all of what we ordered which was not bad at all considering Starbucks and Dutch prices. Will definitely be back! read more

Okay. First time I tried to come to this location online said they were open but no one answered the drive thru so I left, didn't think I'd return. Second time I only came here because it was the easiest coffee place to get to in this area, especially with how packed Dysart gets. I didn't know the sizes so I just said a medium and paid $6+ and left a $2 tip...got the smallest iced coffee and was thinking, this is a medium??? I did like the little candy coffee thing they add on the drink and the coffee was really smooth but man....local business with those Starbucks prices. I finished my drink in less than 2 min. Nothing to rave about and I'd consider trying this place again but they are pretty pricey for what it is. read more

We love driving through this coffee shop. The coffee is delicious, but we love the extra touch of the chocolate covered espresso bean that comes on top of each drink. Found out about Human Bean when in Colorado and kept asking my kids about them but they were like ehhhh. So when saw they opened here thought I would give them a shot. My opinion is they are just ehhh (same as my kids). I definitely would rather go right next door to Modern Grind which is head over heels better tasting coffee. What is weird is even a modern grinds chocolate beans taste better. Not saying a human bean is bad but this girl is definitely going to be sticking to Modern Grind and supporting their small woman owned business and their amazing coffee (way better than Starbucks too). Not saying Human Bean is bad but not my taste. Staff though is great and friendly. Drive up window makes you feel like your at a tower and short...not sure why it's so high. Lol But Human bean is not 5 stars and definitely not 1 star. I would say probably a 3.2 star business. read more

Management should get 2 stars, the workers probably 3.5. First repeat the order, as you got ours wrong. One drink down the drain to remake it. Two, be friendly it leaves a lasting impression. Lastly know the menu, the front menu flashed so fast we had to ask if there were any caramel type drinks, the order person wasn't very sure of that. I know we probably should have checked he menu online before going Most of this is on the training and not the workers. Its a new location and it's our first time at human bean. read more

The burrito came with red potatoes, pepper jack cheese, egg, and a side of salsa. It usually comes with bacon or sausage but I opted for neither. Service was fast and friendly. I enjoyed both the burrito and the latte!

We spent a little over $17, Scottsdale can be expensive and I have bought a lot of coffee from Scottsdale..and I will argue that this is one of the most expensive drinks I have gotten especially when comparing size and quality. I didn't really like my drink at all, and had a hard time chugging it down. I personally probably will not becoming back...that being said, there is obviously something within the shop that has made it extremely popular. My guess is the hot food options available, if you were to decide to try this shop... I would recommend either reaching out to someone who.loves this shop or checking into those items specifically.

When I pulled up, there was only one car in front waiting for their coffee. After I pulled in, I waited 10 mins for 2 bagels, only to find out that they don't even add the cream cheese. I thought it was a bit much to wait 10 mins to heat up an order of 2 bagels with no coffee order or anything. Definitely will not be stopping by for breakfast.

It's tucked away off Indian School Road, but worth the effort to find it. We had a couple of ham & cheese croissants, a couple of chocolate chip cookies and specialty coffee, plus tea. Everything was fresh and delicious. Interesting in that they were out of ice though. In any case we enjoyed our visit and food. They have many specialty breads from olive loves, multi-grain, French and more. Noticed there was mostly takeout, but there are 3 small tables each with 2 chairs, however no outside seating.

We were expecting a pastry shop but when we walked in we realized it is a sourdough store! They hand make everything fresh in house! We decided to try a cinnamon roll and ham and cheese croissant which were both delicious. After discovering all the different breads they had we decided to take one home with us- jalapeño cheddar and boy was it fabulous! We used it for a grilled cheese one night and turkey sandwich another! The prices here are fair. There is seating if you want to eat there. They also serve coffee/drinks and sourdough pizza but we didn't try any of that. It just gives us an excuse to come back! Customer service was good and fast as well!!
